Obtaining permission
Address: CGHS
The overall purpose of CGHS is flouted when there's too much of paperwork involved. I noticed many senior citizens standing in long queues in CGHS dispensary just to obtain permission for consultation. Why can't this process be made online? Moreover, the billing section of hospital also is not simple. The patients are being asked to go to multiple windows to get the billing done.

Misbehaviour with Senior Citizen
Address: Cghs,Shyambazar,Kolkata
Dr.Aniruddha Saha who sits in CGHS Shyambazar Kolkata is the worst Doctor on earth who doesn’t know how to behave with Sr.Citizen who worked for central government for his whole life, He kept on insulting My Dad for asking queries and details, we are middle class people, cannot afford private taxi or cab so does this mean he got the right to insult us?Either he should be taught a lesson or his license should be cancelled, he is definitely unfit to be a doctor.
I can provide details of my Dad but scared that he would be mistreated by your whole staffs then or worse throw him out on street or send goons at our house.

Medicines
Doctors give medicines which are available at dispensary, instead of recommended by specialist.
What is the fun to send a patient to send to specialist when you have to give medicines of your choice.
All doctors should undergo orientation regularly where they are taught how to behave with patients.

irregularity in supply of medicine
Address: New Delhi, Delhi
I am a cghs beneficiary (Id 1249943) my dispensary is at pashchim vihar (Dispensary no 80). 3 medicines were indented by the doctor on 4.3.2020 (Slip enclosed). On 11.3.2020 they delivered me only 2 of the medicines. 1 medicine "pioglar -15mg tablet" was not issued and i was informed that medicine had not been supplied by the supplier. Now, the above medicine is again indented on 11.3.2020 and the same will be delivered after 3-4 days.
This is a case of harassment as it is difficult for a 72 year old diabetic and heart patient to visit the dispensary thrice when the dispensary is 40 kms (Both sides) from my residence.

supply of different medicines not as prescribed by specialist doctor
Address: 51-A, Sector 40, Gurgaon, 122001
With reference to above, it is to inform you that i am a cghs beneficiary as pensioner. I am getting medicines for my daughter who is suffering from epilepsy. Neuro specialist has prescribed lametec dt 100 mg and frisium 10 mg. When i contracted my cghs wellness centre sector 55, they changed the prescribed medicines with some not known and little known manufaturers of substituted medicines. When i raised my voice, they said they will provide the medicines with the similar salt. Sir, you know, neuro medicines are very sensitive medicines and my daughter is taking it from last 15 years and that suits her but now chaning the medicines with some other brand not reliable being a small manufacturers etc. Who are not maintaining quality standards may harm her with seizures etc. I cannot take risk. I requested the cmo wellness centre for change of medicines but nothing could be done. They say that they will provide the medicine with their generic salt not pp medicines. I agree, but either the medicine may be of pp brand as prescribed by spl. Docotor or may be supplied of generic manufaturer but not the pp medicines manufactureed by small and unreliable manufacturer.

I want to file a compliant against a doctor mr. Sushil kumar for cghs dispensary available in mandir marg, new delhi. My mother aged 55 years visited to the dispensary on 19 nov 2018 and her leg was swollen due to some injury. The doctor was not looking so interested to hear the problem of my mother and was shouting without any reason. He was not behaving like an educated and professional person. He only gave an ointment to my mother and told him that she can visit rml hospital if she want to but he cant do anything more than that.

indifferent and arrogant behavior of cghs staff at hyderabad to pensioners
Address: Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, 500011
I was admitted at nims at hyderabad in april 2018. Nims charged me rs.17, 000 for tests. I retired as a superintendent in central excise and also served critical investigation departments like dgcei and ed. The cghs ward was occupied by others and no admission was given at the right time. I do not understand why they charge from cghs card holders. I filed a claim in alwal cghs hospital. The ministerial officers misbehaved asking me why i paid to nims. This question was to be put to nims, hyderabad. When i approached doctors, the job of processing my claim was given to another officer. So far, the claim was not settled. The message to pensioners is that it is better to die without treatment and preserve money for cremation of dead body. It it the reward for serving the government for 35 years ?

cghs doctors prescribing ip meds for regular meds and local purchase team proving generic meds instead of prescribed meds
Address: 500056
Doctor's are prescribing ip (Indend purchase) for regular medicines like bp, sugar, etc which should be available in cghs as most of them are old age and retired patients.
And the ip medicines purchased and given are generic and of less cost and not the one which is prescribed by the doctor. These people are charging gorvnment the price of original meds and providing patients with generic medicines. There seems to be a big gambling going on. Cghs / health care authority should look into this matter.

My mother had met with a accident and as she is covered under cghs the hospital costs were covered in that however when we went to take the medicines the apollo doctors adviced injection for 6 weeks however the cmo mrs dr b seshi devi for some reason asked for a confirmation letter from the discharge doctor even though the discharge summary for clearly stating that the injection is necessary for the patient to recover still we went ahead and got that letter but still after that the so called cmo only gave medicines for 10 days and again asked to come back this is something which seems like you want us to make suffer and travel again and again for this...

Sir,
With due honor i lay before you the following facts for your kind intervention so that the senior citizen
Cghs beneficiaries are not treated as beggars and not to think that the medicines are supplied due to the mercy and goodwill of cghs authority from wellness center 05, kolkata.
1. Please note that shyambazar wc no.5, 7-a kalachand sanyal lane, kolkata 700004 is
The one and only cghs dispensary covering a vast area such as full nadia district, full twenty-four parganas district, full hooghly district and a part of kolkata district
2. As a result, cghs beneficiaries has to come to draw their monthly medicines and for
Treatment from a far away in some cases 40 -50 km, though being senior citizen of free india.
3. It is experienced that during last two months most of the common prescribed medicines are not available in the cghs shyambazar store and indented for supply after two days.
4. Practically, on march 18 for my case out of 9 common medicines only 1 medicine is issued and remaining 8 vital indented medicines are likely be supplied after two days.
5. It is also experienced that the indented medicines are supplied in two or three installments, as if beggars are given medicines from their own pocket.
6. It is very much shameful to consider me as a senior citizen of free india and we served the nation for couple of years.
7. It is not understood how the annual assessment, provisioning and procurement deptt. Of
Cghs is worked with the life savings medicines.
I would request your good self that aged senior citizen cghs beneficiaries who comes from a long
Distance at this old age are not harassed due to the laps on the part of your management.
Remedial measures sought
A. Permission may please be given to the beneficiaries to purchase the prescribed medicines from outside and reimbursed on production of cash memo.
B. Decentralization of annual assessment, provisioning and procurement of medicines to each wellness center instead of centralized procurement to avoid any future anomalies.
Trust, this will find your favorable consideration.
Thanking you,

Deficiency in service.
Address: New Delhi, Delhi, 110052
I am a senior citizen, female, aged 72 years. i am a osteoarthritis patient. i visited CGHS hospitals for the treatment of the same however, it left me frustrated and disillusioned. Doctor at advised me to take physiotherapy for 15-20 days. however, when i visitied the lady harding hospital the doctor did not clearly mention the details of the treatment. when i visited Sunderlal Jain Hospital for my physiotherapy treatment, they refused to do the same claiming that the doctor at lady harding hospital should have clearly mentioned all the treatment we were to provide. they advised me to go to lady harding and request the doctor to clearly mention the treatment they are supposed to provide. when i visited lady harding, the doctor again did not mention clearly mention the treatment which i was supposed to get at Sunderlal jain. i am amazed to see how doctors treat patients without even thinking or looking at the condition of the patient. i am an old lady who can not walk and have high BP. and the doctors and the hospitals are harassing me. either the doctor is not available or if available, he simply tells this has not been approved yet. For 15-20 days treatment, i have spent almost Rs. 500 a day just for travelling for hospitals travelling. would appreciate if some action is taken against doctors for harassing the senior citizens.

Ref.: Beneficiary Id No.4348072 a) serial No.208 dated 24.07.2015

Sir,
With due honor I lay before you the following facts for your kind intervention so that the senior citizen
CGHS beneficiaries are not treated as beggars and not to think that the medicines are supplied due to the mercy and goodwill of CMO, Shyambazar, Wellness Center 05, Kolkata :
1. This month, it is noticed that as per instructions of CMO medicines are supplied by the pharmacist after cutting the original strips in denomination of 10 or 5 Tablets viz.Flotral 10 mg which consisting of 30 nos. in one strip is issued to me in 3 cut pieces, in every piece name of the medicine and the expiry date is not visible .
2. The tablet Pantocid DSR one strip is consisting of 10 tablets supplied me in 2 cut pieces of 5 nos. each.
3. Rosuvastain 2 strips consisting of 30 tablets supplied me in 4 strips (10 + 5) x2
4. Arbitel -20 consisting of 10 tablets per strip supplied me in 5 nos in 4 strips and 10 nos in 1 strip i.e. 5 strips
5. Xyrolic and all the other tablets are issued in cut pieces etc & etc
6. Not only to me it is followed for every patient
7. It is experienced that most o[censored]s are short in eyes or having high powered spectacles for which minute letters such as name of the tablets mfg. Date & expiry date can not see without high powered magnifying glass, also it is not mentioned /printed in every cut piece
Moreover, there so many tablet are identical to look at, in such cases it is very difficult to segregate by seeing the foils only.
8. The pharmacist is consuming a long time for cutting the strips, as a result a long queue is prevailing all alone in this overcrowded dispensary and it is created artificially to harass the old aged patients,
9. I have given verbal retranslation to the CMO expressing our difficulties but it is of no use rather it is told that he will continue this process if required I may complaint to his higher authorities.
10. I think, it is insulation and harassment / punishment to the senior citizen CGHS beneficiaries who served the nation for a long time with full responsibilities and dedications even some o[censored]s holding the post of Gazetted Officers.
Pl. look into the matter so that at this age the senior citizen CGHS beneficiaries are not harassed due to the negative motivation and vindictive attitude of CMO, Shyambazar Wellness Center ( No.05), Kolkata.

Hi.We have shifted to Mandakni Apartment , sector 2 , Dwarka few days back and the very day we shifted, we have been asked to deposit non-refundable amount of Rs 3000 as entry fee to the society. I feel this is a lot of amount to be asked as we already will have to pay maintenance fee of Rs 1000 every month .Could you please let me know if it happens in other societies as well and to which higher authority we can complain?

Illegal construction
Address: North Delhi, Delhi
Dear Sir/ Madam,
Kindly confirm me that can society members construct the elevators (Lifts) without taking consent of ground floor flat owners?
I am resident of ground floor flat in our society called "Jeevan Anand Apartments". The others members of the society are going to construct lifts without taking consent from all the ground floor flat owners. As the foundation of the lifts will be made from ground level, it will make us suffer. They have already made so many illegal constructions in the society which stops the sunlight and natural fresh air to flow to the ground floor.
Thanks and Regards,

CLAIM NOT ACCEPTED
Dear Sir,
With reference to the subject cited above, we have received return medical reimbursement documents on 29th of Aug’ 09 with regrets letter from your side which is stated that you are unable to settle this medical reimbursement claim because treatment in private recognized hospital without prior permission is not reimbursable.
This is to inform you that our treatment is consecutively running in Safdarjung Hospital with Dr. Uma Kishore ( Specialist Nephrology ) as he referred us for AV fistula creation in any CGHS Panel Hospital then we have visited in Local Dispensary narouji Nagar and meet CMO for Permission she replied that we can operate in any CGHS hospital and we can get a reimbursement claim from CGHS. At the time of submission of medical reimbursement claim in Sec-8 office again I have discussed same issue with CMO and he has agreed with the situation and submitted the document.

The managements of group housing societies consider themselves a law unto themselves, and all this because of the pusillanimity of the Government of Delhi which enacts laws but is not interested in implementing them. What happens to a buyer of a flat in a CGHS is indeed scandalous considering that we are living in a democracy not feudal times. The managment of a CGHS uses muscle power and arm-twisting tactics to extract thousands of rupees as entrance fee from the buyer of a flat before allowing him to occupy his flat. Then, in the name of granting him membership of the society, they again take from him thousands of rupees, whereas all that a flat owner, under the Cooperative Amendment Law-2006, which came into being on 13th January 2007, has to pay for membership is Rs 610 only.
This kind of hooliganism on the part of the managment of a CGHS can be stopped if taking of entry fee and taking of membership in excess of the stipulated amount are made cognizable offences punishable with, say, two years rigorous imprisonment.
Come to think of it, who are the people who form the management of a CGHS? They are, like other flat owners, just flat owners in that society. They are elected by the flat owners in a society for running the day-to-day work of the society. The mandate, which means a command, given to them is to serve the society since they have voluntarily offered themselves for this job. But, in practice, these elected representatives of the people of a society become bosses of that society. They start behaving rudely with the very people who have elected them.
To expect any remedial action from the Registrar of Cooperative Societies is futile. That office has little credibility so far as its powers to discipline an erring CGHS are concerned. This office would not take any action against a society even when it is doing everything against the rules. My own frustrating experience has taught me to expect nothing from this office.
The only way to put an end to the existing high-handedness of the managements of group housing societies is for the people living there to unite and file a plethora of cases against them. There are ample reasons, and all quite genuine ones, for filing court cases against them. That would succeed in putting a check on their lawless activities.

I completely agree with above complaint.
In fact, we went through the same trauma to the extent that Managing Committee member & the office bearer even disconnected the Electricity supply to our newly purchase Flat until we pay them Entrace fee in CASH.
So much so, they did even allowed us to enter the Society premises until we gave them a verbal commitment to fulfil their unethical demand and they made the Truck wait outside the building for ~ 2 hours.
It was quite an embarrasement / harassement. I hope there is some authority which could control such an armtwisting hooliganism by managment of a CGHS and they should be immediately stopped taking illegal entry fee and taking of membership in excess of the stipulated amount. They should be booked and the offence to be made cognizable punishable with, minimum two years rigorous imprisonment. We need strong action !!

Registrar of CGHS in Delhi is defunct organisation. Their interest is somewhere else. They take no interest on the matter of plight of the Residents of the CGHS. I have gone to the extent of Complaining to Lt. Governor and Chief Minister of Delhi to take action against Registrar of CGHS, but of no avail. Management Committee has many means to extort money from the Residents. We ignorant people feel the living in a CGHS is more of comfort, but it is other way round. Residents do not unite due to fear of harassment by Management Committee.
I am agree with you the same case is going in the society of Rohini name THE BHARAT CO-OPERATIVE GROUP HOUSIG SOCIETYLTD.Plot No.20 Sector 13 Rohini Delhi 110085. The Presindent $ the Secretary of the above said society is adament for the entry fees Rs 20000/ from the byuer

Beware of buying a Flat in Nava Kairali Apartments, Plot No.10, Sector-3, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078. I shifted from a CGHS at Sector-13 of Rohini to this CGHS. This Society is mostly inhabited by Malyalees (Keraltes, Christians). I bought the Flat assuming that South Indians are more honest than North Indians, but here it is other way round. We are not allowed to celebrate any Hindu festivals except Holi and Diwali. The Malyalee members are united and we North Indians are just 15% of residents. Our Electricity Meter Bill is owned by Management and thus Electricity Bill is prepared by them. The manipulate in raising bill by favoring their own Malyalees group. I feel it as it is the blunder in my life.
Yes management commitee thinks that they are beyond the law of land. They misaapropriates the charges collected from flat owners and not interested in the well being of the society for which they are elected. This is the case with Cenntral Electronics Ltd Group Housing society, plot no 14, Vasundhra Enclave Delhi.

This is the case with every CGHS and same is happening at K M C.G.H.S., Plot-12, sector-12, Dwarka, New Delhi for past 7 years and even before that. These muscleman consider themselves beyond law and make the life of residents miserable. All the persons employed such as electrician, plumber, maali, securtiy guards work as personal servants of the office bearers. anybody who tries to confront management for their wrongdoings is boycotted socially. Management is not answerable to anyone. They forcefully extract entry fee to fill their pockets and threaten who don't pay. Society Manager with blessing of President & Secretary often misbehaves with residents. The elections have not been conducted by society and office bearers are illegally occupying the office and taking unilateral decision. All kinds of financial bunglings are taking place and accounts never presented in last 2 years. The new owners are not beng given memebershipm inspite of directions form RCS. the Management is illegally demading Rs 10000/- for transfer of membership a clear violation os DCS Act.
There is a need to make these society mafia accountable and covering them under IPC. The RCS office also needs to wake up adn take strict action against them. Such office bearers should be debarred from contesting elections for life time.

I am pramod kumar (Tax Assistant) working in Central excise and service tax faridabad commissionerate, CBEC, ministry of finance, govt. of india. i had applied for CGHS card earlier 4-5 months ago but my card has not received yet i dont know why it was not came to me till now. please do contact me on [protected], [protected].
As the number of Cooperative Group Housing Societies are coming up by and night, it is high time for the Government to make an Statutory Body solely responsible to monitor and control the functioning of Management of Society. If all do write such requirements to the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, may be some stone may move.
