No delivery of books

I have spent more than 20 thousand buying books and some titles have not been delivered for years. I thought having some trust in a small company would help them grow. But this is a fraudulent company. They don’t refund your money and make false promises of delivery. The worst company around. Absolutely fraudulent. They promised to refund an amount last year which hasn’t been done yet....

I have made my first order on August 2021, I have not received my order till August 2022 and requested for replacement where I ordered 2 more books. I still did not receive my 1 book. In l February 2023, I again requested for replacement of that book from previous order. And it’s 23rd July 2023 and I haven’t received my order yet.

    The book, order # 4090 was ordered on 4th Oct, 2022, paid for fully.
    When book didn't arrive even by end of year, we were told that it takes up to 8 weeks for procurement books. On repeat follow up, the emails bounced and wa told told to reinitiate a helpdesk query to new email... After initial responce that too bounced.
    Repeated follow up since Jan 2023, we were told to
    *Wait
    *Write again, and when confronted with screenshots about the bouncing emails on Instagram Message, was replied to rudely and abruptly
    * Writing to the help desk again they said book hasn't arrived so i demanded for cancellation and refund.

    Got 2 mails - early March, 2023
    1 from helpdesk saying we r cancelling order give us UPI ID for processing refund.. i replied with details
    2 auto generated email saying your order has been shipped out.. but with no shipping or tracking number.

    I waited till this week and followed up.. they say that their website has no provision to cancel orders and so they have to close it as shipped out.. which is why the email was sent without tracking details.
    When asked abt when the refund will be done.. there is no response.

    As a customer, having paid in full and diligently following up, I have been treated rudely and abruptly, and honestly don't want anything to do with them. For a company in the service industry, their service and customer service, deliverance rate and ethics are horrible.

      I ordered two books from them on 8th May, 2022, of the two I have only recieved one of the books that I ordered and the other one has still not been delivered as on this date i.e. 15 Dec, 2022 - IT HAS BEEN 7 MONTHS !!! I asked multiple times and they told me that books that are not in "Ready to Ship" category take 8-10 weeks to be delivered. So, I waited for more than 3 months and when i asked them that my book is available as "Ready to Ship" on your app, they told me it must have been a glitch. Then in August, I asked if I can get a refund they said they can't do that and assured me that my book will reach me. Since September, my order status is showing as "Dispatched"...its December now and I still don't have my book. On top of all this, they only accept prepaid orders and don't have a proper complaint resolution mechanism in place. Once you've paid the money they absolutely do not care about your order. They don't even follow up on the complaints or the completion of a particular order. This whole experience has been so tormenting...I mean if they would give me my money back then i would just buy and read that book from somewhere else...but I can't even do that. Never ordering from them again. What they did is so UNPROFESSIONAL and UNETHICAL.

        They promised me refund on Instagram DM then blocked me and all the others who supported me. I want my money back of ₹1802
        For me this is a big amount.

        They told me that the book is out of stock. Why did they even take an order for a book that was out of stock? They said that they are waiting for the publishers and that is not my problem how they procure it. Why did they not mention this on the website that the book was on procurement under the book description? I kept sending them screenshot about how there was no mention about the status of books under its description and they kept telling me they are a new company. That's a lie. The company was established in 2018 with 2 directors Surabhi Rai Sanjana and Desh Deepak.

        After a lot of arguments on Instagram they said they would refund my money for 2 books and promptly blocked me and all those who asked them to give me my refund.

        I want refund for both books as promised by them of ₹1802. I have the screen recorder of the conversation

        This is the worst bookstore or even online business for that matter. I demand a refund ASAP. Of RUPEES 1802

        Why will they block my messages and emails if they are an honest company?

            I purchased the title 'The Song of Achilles - Anniversary Edition" (cost = 727/-) on November 8, 2021. It is almost February 2022 and I still have not received my book. My order number is #[protected]. I have tried complaining several times but their customer support is useless and they had a standard automated response for every complaint I sent. They told me that the book was out of stock. Why did they even place an order for a book that was out of stock? They said that they are waiting for the publishers and that it is up to them. Why did they not mention this on the website? They also said they could not give me a refund. So now, I haven't received my book and I lost 727 rupees. There is no actual way to contact this bookstore, they do not have a telephone number and emails are just automated responses. This is the worst bookstore or even online business for that matter. I demand a refund ASAP.

              I placed an order in April they still haven't delivered my book. I contacted them so many times but no solution has been done. So I want the refund of the amount I paid.

                I had placed an order from ChapterOne Bookstores online for the book The Ten Thousand Doors of January with an amount of INR 699.00 on 18 December 2019 with Order #79318. I have written to them multiple times to either refund or send me another book with the same price which I would like to read, but they have not taken any action even after 7 months of placing the order. Every time I write, they come up with a new excuse. Attaching all the relevant supporting.

                Refund received.
                I pre ordered the book Chain of Iron on 24th December 2020. My order no. #[protected]. When I open my order dashboard it showns 'no orders'. Also I have not recieved any tracking id to track my orders. Their customer service number is invalid. I emailed them multiple times and also wrote on their help desk to solve the issue but every time they give a ticket but no response comes. Its been more than 24 hrs. Attaching necessary files.
