On ET money platform, I have used the Free Trail of Genius Subscription from 18/10/2022, and the end date for the same was 16/12/2022. I use ET Money for investing in mutual funds. They launched a service called 'Genius', and under the false pretence of taking a free survey on the app, they signed me up for the free membership which led to a paid membership.
Now since I did not sign up for the free version, I had no idea it would later charge me for it if I didn't cancel it. I only got alerted when money was debited from my account.
They have no proof that I signed up for it myself, although they say they sent an OTP to confirm - the message of the OTP clearly stated that it was for the 'investor personality type survey'.
When I reached out to them, they said there is nothing they can do about it since I voluntarily signed up for a quarter of the year for this service.
What I am afraid of is they must be doing this to a lot of people without them knowing. If I as a customer am reaching out to them and telling them it is a mistake, they should at least consider giving me the benefit of the doubt? The least they can do is cancel it for the remaining months? They do not respond, there is no helpline to connect with them and this company has access to bank accounts of all those using their app.
I have emailed them and they have been of no help. I asked them for proof and they said the only proof there will be is an email 1 week before the debit of the money for the subscription that went into 'promotional emails' on gmail.

What kind of a product pushes their services on people this way? How will they ever build a genuine user base with such antics?

amount deducted but not reflected in sip amount
Hi sir,
I am shubham thakur (Sthakur. [protected]@gmail.com) [protected].
I have sip of axis mutual fund through et money app. Due date for sip is 2 of every month. Amount for sip is 500. On 5 october amount get deducted from my account. But on 11 october i receive mail that transaction failed due to insufficient balance. I am regularly raising tickets and sending mail but till dated 22 october there is no solution from there side.
So i hope that you will get my issue solved.
If any proof (Bank statement or others) required then please mail me back
