I have purchased a GABA mobile(8880) on 26/06/2010 from S.H.MUMTAZUDDIN though I want to take NOKIA mobile.But from the sales counter a salesman forced me to take GABA mobile which is MUMTAZUDDIN's own product(basically Chinese set).From the next 2nd day problem has encountered when the set was found defective.Till 13/09/2010,I have visited at least 12 times,but the set has not become problem free.Now the set is submitted in the shop.4 times battery was changed.Last time when we visited the shop,the shop manager Mr.Yourself insulted me and said that I was lying that I have visited for the problem of the set.One day I stood for 3 hours,but they didn't provide me the proper service.When I visited the shop I noticed that they are making fools the customers very cleverly and tactically takes money from the customers.They deny to replace the set with any other branded set of same price or more costly,though we are agree to give the excess money. people are victimized buying GABA-9980 too.

SO PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANY MOBILE FROM S.H.MUMTAZUDDIN, KOLKATA.

Because the same case happens with other sets also.

DOLPHIN MOBILE CARE — REGARDING A SALESMAN

Respected sir or madam,
I am running a shop near naraina ring road wz-152. A saleman of your company name as Ranjeet is supllying vodafone coupons in this area, sir i want to inform you that he is very irresponsible and lazy, when he came in the morning and collect money for easy recharge most of the time he say that he doesnt have easy recharge value, and say that i will recharge after some time, after that the value is not tramsfer in our easy recharge phone at the time, and we continiously make calls on his cell either he is not pic up the phone or switch off his cell. Sir and the other problem is that he is used very harsh and abusive language. I request to you that please take some serious action against him he is spoiling our business and your company reputation.

I am using the Dolphin prepaid Mobile and avail the facility of caller tune. Before the five or six days, i wanna deactviate the faciltiy. I had been call to custmer care for help, then they suggest me to sms on a number 56262, i was followd the guildline, but my problem is solve till now, i'm regularly touch with them but they not listen to me and cut my phone or said me wait for while and cut the phone. Pleaase do the needfull.

S.H. Mumtazuddin cheated the customers, i wanted to purchase branded mobile phone but they foced to purchse GABA, within 2days it is malfunctioning, there have so many noise in microphone with incoming and outgoing services, front camera inactive from the very first day.Their customer service centre also very busy because of famous GABA, my mobile deposited into their customer centre last 15 days but still now no information is coming from their end.Someone happy with GABA but it was for the arrival time only, now they using their good will and cheated their customer. BE CAUSIOUS ABOUT GABA AND S.H. MUMTAZUDDIN.

i dont agree with this, because 6 months back i have nokia e5 model from shmumtazuddin after 1 month, it started giving problem to me regularly, i went to service centre nokia, they solved it but again after 3 to 4 days it started the same, i went to the service centre nokia again they told me that they have to keep the mobile for 10 days with them, then i told them that it will not be solved because it is manufacturing defect but they refused to do so, then i went to shmumtazuddin shop and met with their owner mr.asif, and told him my issue he immediately called nokia company, and solve the issue within 10mins and give, me a new hadset from his shop, this is really very good
it doesnt happen in any store of mobile phone in kolkata
may shops doesnt listen to customers complains they sent the customer to service centre

I had purchased a T88 GABA set form GABA MOBILE CENTRE BUT there was a fault in the mobile from the beginning and I had given the mob to GABA to repair the fault but they returned it saying that has been repaired and made O.K after 15 days. But it showed same Problem again. So I had posted my sorry plight that all other consumers usually in customer complain site on Web site which had promptly urge GABA to lift my complain from the site saying they are ready to refund my hard earned money. So I am lifting my complain on the condition that the GABA would refund my money.

First of all thanks to this website for giving us a platform to redress our grievances. i think i still have my faith in the legal system.
The S.H. Mumtazuddins finally went down on their knees and voluntarily called me to offer a solution to kill the issues with the gaba mobile i purchased from their shop.i was given a full refund of the billed amount
Now that the financial issues have been resolved though the mental harassment still continues to have its effect, i stand down from my previous legal claims on the merchant.

I agree with Anal. This Imtiaz is certainly a stooge of Mumtazuddin. Actually, the Asif is the biggest culprit in all the problems and most stubborn, intolerant and guru of all cheaters.

I sincerely wish I could call this imran for the set(Gaba-T88) I have purchased from their shop in May 2011. Unfortunately, my wife lost the cash-memo of the product, else we would have met already at consumer protection court rather than calling imran. Anyway, at-least my postings forced them to respond with numbers for addressing the grievances of the customers.

As far as the veracity of my earlier posts are concerned, just go to the One and Only Gabba service center (sic) at Radha Bazar. The the look of the service center (which is actually a makeshift arrangement in the go-down of Mamtazuddin) will tell you how much importance is given to the BRAND.GABBA.

If any doubt still left in your mind, simply have a talk with the people waiting there for getting their "GABBA" mobile, repaired. Now ur experiance is complete...

Totally agree with the complaints above. This shop is cheating customers...neither the customer service is good nor the product GABA mobile sold by this shop. the mobile is full of problems. This is a honest suggestion to all the people heading towars this shop for this product. its waste of time, money and energy to walk in this shop. U'll be in deep soup, and will only regret as i m regretting now.

Hi we booked a flat with square foot properties in their upcoming project called Dreamz in silk board
near Mahindra showroom. The construction is starting from this month and the projected completion
date is of next year. I booked it for 13 lakhs in their pre launch phase and my friends say that I have really

I have purchased a GABA B12 on Aug'11 and faced a problem on October'11 (Software problem) then faced another problem on June'12 (Starting problem) and now my mobile screen has been blinking like a tube light for last one month. On 29 th Sep 12, I went to S.H.Mum. shop at Radha Bazar to gift a Samsung mobile to my son on his birthday[protected]. We had selected Samsung StaR 3 but the sales man showed Gaba T 22 to my son showing the video and sound features etc and convinced him to buy the phone
He also tried to convince me by saying that not to give costly mobile to boy of class 8. I was in a fix but my son thought that due to price of phone I am hesitating more over he was inpressed with the features of GAba T22 with such a price of 2300/- We purchase the phone then other counter
person said to go for a antivirus for which I paid 400 extra. Next day on 30th Sep the phone was not functioning. Being Sunday, I wnet to the shop
on 1-10-12 . Hearing the problem they said that go for repairing. When i insisted for changing the phone. they wanted to give me new phone but
I was adament to replace it with Samsung. Finally they have deducted 500/- for exchanging the phone.Again they asked 600 for antivirus which
I did not pay. I feel lucky that I got the samsung in exchange but they had taken 500/- for my mistake of purchasing a Gaba .

I have purchased a GABA B12 on 30.08.11. After two months (29.10.11) I faced software problem then i went to GABA shop they repaired it. Then June of this year I faced starting problem and they have repaired temporarily. But my problem has been continuing. Now I can compare my mobile like a blind man. I cant see anything in my mobile screen.

S.H. Mumtazzuddin is damaging their reputation since the day of launching of this so called "Gaba" brand. They should have opened a separate "Gaba" outlet instead of push selling this sub-standard Chinese phone from their existing showrooms . The once crowded showrooms now looks deserted throughout the day as the customer visits have fallen drastically. I was forced to purchase a Gaba B77 set instead of Nokia 110 on 01.12.2012 from their New Cinema showroom on assurance from Mr. Azhar Feroz that it will be replaced with any other branded phone within a fortnight without any deduction if any problem arises . The phone became dead on the very next day. I immediately rushed to their shop on 03.12.2012 and asked for a replacement as assured. Mr. Azhar Feroz replaced the said dead set with another B77 set and argued - " Will Nokia replace any of their defective set with Samsung / Motorolla ??? Forget what I have told you on Saturday !!! Yeh Nokia se bhi "badia" aur "behtar" phone hain !!! " . I smiled on myself becoming a "December Fool" . :-) S. Dasgupta.
i purchase a mobile nokia x2-02 form nokia priority in B.B.Ganguly st, then after 2days problem has encountered then i went to shop they do not agree with me & told me that go to nokia service center. They servicing my mobile & give it to me but after 7 days same problem arrise then again i went to shop they are totaly insulted my parents and refuse my complain.i dont know what i do now?
i purchased a gaba A-66 mobile on 24.02.2013. at first it is difficult for the internet connection as the mobile, perhaps was not recorded at different servers. now the gaba is working well, no complain.

Well even I have been cheated with dis shop. I went to purchase macromax canvas HD but they handled me gaba hand set. They showed me macromax and sold me gaba. I was just another victim. So please friends do not purchase any handset.
You all are very much correct!!
They force people in buying their cheap gaba mobiles.
They charge double in screen guards, cases, etc.
They fool people in buying and repairing mobiles.
I will share you my experience.I brought a lg mobile phone costing around 5, 500.When i got a problem in my screen, they took 4000 rupees to repair it!! I know some of you wont believe it but yeah thats the truth.They just earn money in these tricks and make their own mobiles which has no quality at all.
About a year back, I went to their outlet to get an entry-level handset. I wanted a Nokia/Samsung phone but the saleslady kept insisting that I buy a Gaba handset. When I kept refusing constantly, she tried to lash out at me with utter disgust (which she did not do openly but I could make that out of her facial expressions) with one last attempt but I was firm enough to overcome her pursuing wrath. Well the worst part is yet to come.

Having finalized the deal, once I headed towards the payment counter, another salesman popped up asking me if I wanted an anti-virus solution costing 20 bucks.

Seriously! An anti-virus app for a Nokia Series 40 device? Shocking! That was bull$%*t.
S.H.Mumtazuddin is a cheater. please avoid this shop and its product GABA to save money and to save your time not to be harassed by them.

this shop is motherchod randi ka aulaad SH MUMTAZUDDIN. KABAR MEIN KIRA PADEY RANDI KE AULAAD KO BHI.
He cheated me with a ghatia mobile and I dont have time to visit for service once in every week, I looses my money dont ever buy.
Government should took action to this cheater company CLOSED IT... ALL THEIF THERE.
On 2nd May, 2013 I went to S.H.MUMTAZUDDIN to buy a Smart phone either Nokia or Samsung. The person at the sales counter managed to convince me to purchase their own product Gaba A66 (basically Chinese phone). It costs me Rs. 6000. They promised to give good service support. But from the very next day the phone starts malfunctioning. Poor battery backup, problem in touch screen and its keys. The softwares are not at all tested, set hangs frequently. After 1 month when I finally decided to exchange the set they refused to do it. They told – “now exchange is not possible”. This is how they misguide and mislead customers.
My suggestion to all the customers not to buy any mobile even banded one from S.H.MUMTAZUDDIN. Though they demand themselves as one of the oldest merchant in Kolkata, but they are basically cheater and fraud. I donot want anybody to suffer like myself. GOVERNMENT SHOULD BLACK LIST THIS SHOP.
Iman ji it was very nice of you i have bought a Gaba a45 from your shop hoping that we will have have good relations and faith on each other and will hope for your kind support if ever I require it.

I am giving 1 star rating to the Gaba brand of mobile and its owner S.H.Mumtazuddin Times (P) Ltd. Now here is my story.
As I read through the many complaints in this thread, I went to this shop to buy a basic handset for my mother. The salesman convinced me to buy the B7 model. In the good faith of supporting local brand instead of foreign brands, I decided to go for it and bought the B7 mobile phone on 28th February 2013 by paying Rs 1200 in cash. After 3 months o[censored]sing, the screen of the phone went white and it became unusable. My mother couldn't use it any more. Since I was out of station I couldn't take the phone to the store immediately. Eventually I took the phone to store in August and they serviced it. While bringing it back, I checked with the manager of the store Mr. Apurba whether I can exchange this phone with another one, preferably Nokia. He is a sweet talker and convinced me to exchange the B7 mobile with another higher model B77 by paying Rs 1700 more. Again I fell for their offer thinking this might be a good phone. I was so wrong in my decision. Gaba amazed me!! The higher price model B77 failed in just 8 (eight) days. Now I lost my cool and took the phone back to the store for returning it. Now, Apurba showed his true colors. He tested the phone and confirmed that it is a faulty unit. I told him to either exchange this one with Nokia or another reputed brand or refund me back my money. He declined both of the options. I was adamant of not taking another Gaba junk with me again for more pain. So after 10 minutes of futile attempt of negotiations, I left the phone in the able(!!) hand of Mr Apurba and decided not to ever go back to Gaba brand again. So I lost my money of total Rs[protected] + 1700) for trusting my fellow countryman and for putting faith on a local brand for the purpose of supporting it. Although I lost my money, but I will try to raise awareness against purchasing this brand of mobile phone to everyone. I have already contacted West Bengal Government Consumer Forum and opened a case against the store.

i wanted to buy micromax canvas 2 a110 from S.h mumtazuddin but the salesman insisted me to buy a gaba phone a99 which he proved to be a better phone then micromax canvas 2 ...as he insisted i purchased the gaba phone but in no time the phone started too have numerous problems like getting heated, charger not working etc .
The phone was of real very low quality and on top of it they gave a year warranty for the phone but when my phone slipped from my hand and its screen broke down i went to the gaba service centre in which they showed me so much expense that it was over and above the actual cost of the phone .i myself went many times to the service centre but the people there are not capable of repairing the phone and on top of it they asking me for such an high cost of repair for a poor category third class phone .
when i told them to replace my cell phone with some another phone so they said that they would purchase the phone for 2-3 thousand only ..and this gaba phones are not sold outside as it is a not so famous company and no one wants to purchase a mobile of such company .
so i would request all of you who are reading this to not to purchase any model phone which is made by S.H Mumtazuddin, rather you should go for other good companies such as Nokia, Samsung, etc.
Gaba mobile is a big fake company which only cheats people and nothing else . they just want to make profits by selling such poor low quality third class phones .

On June 5, 2013 I went to buy one mobile at your showroom at 13, B.B.D.BAG (EAST), Kolkata-01, and opted for one Samsung mobile worth Rs.1600/-

Then your attending sales person started insisting me for purchase one GABA mobile instead of my choice, when I was not ready to buy the unknown brand they started convincing for GABA mobile and gathered some more sales person from different counters and pressurised me to get the GABA mobile and as per their point of view that the said mobile is far more better and feature full then the mobile I opted for and I have just to pay an extra Rs.400/- for the same. Also they told me that the GABA is the “Sister Concern” of Nokia hence I can buy the same without any doubt and hesitations and anyhow if there is any problem they are open to change the same to my desired one within 1 year and this is a special offer of SHM that no one can offer in the city.
It was a really confusing, lucrative and under pressure situation and I paid Rs.2000/- at the cash counter first ( As advised) and received the your Tax Invoice No.09477 dt.5/6/13 and directed to another counter to collect the set.

After collecting the set showing the” Tax Invoice” for another counter I found that the set was too old (Imported on March 2012 as printed on the box, MFG date was not available) and requested for a latest one but refused from either side saying that billing has been done and I have no choice but to take the same, also other claims made by the salespersons like “Sister concern of Nokia”, “ One year fault replacement offer” was not mentioned either in the mobile Box or in the Tax invoice. Bewildered on the happening I had no way other than to accept the same and return as I have already paid and now feeling to being trapped.

After returning from the showroom I tried to charge up the battery of my new phone but I could not found any appropriate port to fix the charger and embarrassed with the phone that I bought to gift someone.

Since I am a mobile phone user from last 10 years and used several new phones but never faced such a situation where I sealed pack mobile set has a different kind of charger, whatever I rushed immediately on the same day to your showroom with all and requested to replace the mobile set with the Samsung mobile I intended to buy, but your sales persons turned a deaf ear to my request and said that they will not replace the same.

When I asked them to let me to meet the senior officials of the showroom they misbehaved with me particularly the person was in charge to sale me the mobile and refuse to divulge his name too and made me to slip out the showroom.

I agree. this shop is forcing customers to buy gaba mobile sets by the help of wily salesgirls and boys which are not at all good. I also have a A45 model which I bought from this shop in Nov-2013 and this set is giving a lot of trouble. I am planning to dump it and buy a new set of some other company but never gaba.
Dear friends, it is sola-ana sach- that yesterday I visited the s h mumtazuddin to purchase nokia lumia 520. Amazingly, the salesman hanged me so tightly and lured me to see the so called gaba-phablet A80. Of course the set is appealing. Performance seems good. god knows the next ! He has forced me to purchase the Gaba set. it is not good legally. Finally, i nodded when he pursued me that it is originally manufactured by Google Co. Inc. God knows ! On 04.07.2014 I visited the S. H. Mumtazuddin Group Of Co. (S H Mumtazuddin Times Pvt Ltd. at 4 No Radha Bazar St.kolkata 1.) and asked them if they have a nokia bh 505 headset. They said 'yes'. I made the payment and then they showed the model to me. After some days, I experienced a headphone problem. That's why I went to a nokia care unit. The csr stated that this one wasn't a genuine model. Today (11.07.2014) I visited the stall and shared the nokia csr's feedback with them. They took my headset bh 505 back and set a date for me to meet them again. I told them that i either need the original product or a reimbursement for my hard-earned money. Now, let's see what happens. I think the consumer-court should warn them not to sell duplicate products to customers that are looking for original products.

After quarreling for quite some time, i got the original Nokia bh 505. I remembered those times when they forced me to accept the first product as 'original', but I knew Nokia won't be serving me for that one. I really feel bad about the level of service I got from S. H. Mumtazuddin Group Of Co. That is reallly a [censored]ing service..

I would insist all peoples not to purchase any mobile handsets from Gaba Mobile Stores at Gariahat Branch at least. They make fool of all people and insist on buying their fake products forcibly. Also the after sales service is equally bad too. They are not ready to replace the sets even if the customers are facing recurring problems with them. Moreover they also prevent customer to buy branded handsets and force their self-made gabamobiles which are the worst possible handsets on earth be it functionally or battery backup or just anything which one may call good. They are below rated to be given one star also. I have purchased a A62 model from the same shop on 27.09.2014 and since then facing different problems; I went to them thrice within a week from the purchase date and each time (I don't know what they do inside after taking the set) they returned it saying that its now okay. I even told them that I would like to go for a branded set at higher price, but they would refuse to do so In one word, they are absolutely great frauds and cheaters.

I have purchased a GABA mobile(A-65) on 01/10/2014 from S.H.MUMTAZUDDIN though I want to take Samsung mobile.But from the sales counter a salesman forced me to take GABA mobile which is MUMTAZUDDIN's own product(basically Chinese set).From the next 15 day LCD problem has encountered when the set was found defective., I have visited Gaba Service Center thay are asking Rs.3000/- for Change the LCD .
I have try to LCD from Kolkata Market, but no avalability of LCD in Market .

SO PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANY MOBILE FROM S.H.MUMTAZUDDIN, KOLKATA.

I too was cajoled to buy two GABA B20 phones for 3400/- two years ago, when I wanted to buy a Samsung or similar phone under 5000/-. Curious about this Chinese rebranded set, I decided to go for it but both sets were identical black. The salesman told me at the next counter that the girl will change one back cover to red. But after full payment I was told that coloured covers were out of stock ! And the girl who was supposed to change the cover tried to hardsell antivirus and screen protector, which I ignored. By thieir behaviour I could guess that guarantee service/repair/replacement would be a problem with such cutthroat unscrupulous sellers. A similar experience with MICROMAX, and I had to give up the set after several visits and long waits.
But both the GABA B20s are working perfectly, with many new features like auto shutdown (at night) and restart (morning). The battery of 2500mAh is almost the capacity of a small bike battery. But I was lucky. I can well imagine my plight if things had turned out different !

yes i have also facing problem with gaba A 75 model. poor bettery power, very very bad quality camera and poor Internet service. so, plz do not purchase gaba mobiles.
Its really very bad experience with Gaba and S. H. Mumtazuddin...I also recommend that please do not buy GABA mobile...

Last year I bought an xperia L from Gaba ... The sales person and other things did impressed me .. so when I lost my xperia once again I went to them for a new one ... I bought a new HTC desire 326 from there..but later realised that the sales person was lying to me about features of the hone just because I didn research before buying, he took the advantage and made me fool .. then in the demo counter also ... they are all liers .. I didn expect this.. I will never come back to them
This is a worst mobile among the world. This phone is Several time hang and network is totally bad. Many of the applications are not working properly. I sujest all to not purchase gaba mobile as they want to save money and time.
I also purchased Gaba A 49 but before completing 01 year the battery is not working . I repeatedly asked to change my battery with price to M/S Mumtazuddin but they again and again refused to change the same as the battery is no longer available . The price of the Mobile around Rs.5000/-. Now for a low paid battery I have to Surrender the Mobile. Please help me at [protected]@yahoo.co.in.
I have suffered the same from MUMTAZUDDIN n regarding gaba handset. They are thief and conned me Rs. 11500 by selling a faulty handset and denying to replace an one month old set purchased from there only. They are blatantly saying its not handset problem. Cant anyone take any action against them. The kind of behavior they show after sale is just infuriating.

Yes S.H. Mumtazuddin cheated the customers, I went to purchase a branded mobile phone on[protected] at about 1:00 P.M. at their Dalhousie Shop in Kolkata and I requested their salesman and a woman to show Samsung, Lenovo, Nokia or Micromax in the range of about Rs.6000/-but they showed me a Samsung android phone(Price Rs.6200/-) but I did not buy it due to low capacity of RAM then sales woman show two mobile phones with 1 GB RAM and advised me that this models(A3 & A4) just launched by Micromax with 1 GB RAM at Rs. 5500/-each but when I asked her to show the name of Micromax on the mobile sets, she showed me the logo of MI on the back side of only one mobile set(A3 model). There was no logo on the other set. So I liked to purchase the Micromax A3. The sales woman wrote a slip and handed over to me and advised to go inside with this slip and pay the price there. I paid the amount of Rs.5500/- through my ATM Debit card. I totally relied on their polite behavior and sweet speeches. Due to my some eye problem and a great calaousness I did not read the cash memo or Mobile box. When I returned back to my house with this new set, my wife found out their cheating. Actually they gave me a GABA Android Mobile set. As soon as I watched the cheating, I called their shop through mobile and told them the mistakes but their so called Manager did not want to listen to the cheating their sales woman and advised me as a great winner of this set as it was a great phone in the World till the day. But I don't understand what action I have to take against this shop. Can anyone help me regarding this problem?

One of d 3rd class shop in Kolkata... Plz never purchase any mobile from here..I want to purchase a 4g phone..my sim card is also 4g..& therefore i told them to show me this type of phone within 20000 last night..bt one service boy showed me all 3g phone & i beleived on his words..never check the mobile box..I purchased Htc set among 17000...bt coming home i saw its 3g...i told them this mistake on today morning..bt they misbehaved with me & deny d mistakes of their...they told me they have nothing to do..they had no mistake in there..Shop owner Azhar told me if i exchange this he will give me only 10000 where 24 hrs not over...
SH mumtazuddin is one horrible shop. I went there to purchase Samsung and they almost forced us to purchase their GABA phone. They gave me all wrong and false information about this phone (it's a Google phone, etc etc). The phone didn't work properly for even week. When I went back to them to exchange the phone with my desired Samsung they denied to give anything more than 2000 RS for a phone of RS 9500. They misbehaved and didn't bother to answer any of our queries. I would request every customer looking forward to purchase a mobile phone in the near future not to visit this fraud mobile shop. All mobile phones are costlier and their behavior is just awful. They will only entertain you if you agree to buy GABA phone.
s H MUMTAZUDDIN - FRAUD AND CHEATER. i HAVE visited for lumia 550. First they said they have the phones but dissuade me to purchase the same . At last I was told that lumia 550 is not available with them.

    I had purchased one mobile set model - GAB-9980 from Kolkata. The manufacturer is a shop in here. They assembled parts and software and sells it in market. Even they promised to return back money of purchase in warranty period but they keep customer waiting for service days. many customers are getting victimized by their service cause handset start malfunctioning after purchasing the product and they they denies their warranty services.

    i disagree with this completely, i went to shop to purcahse nokia, they showed me gaba i dint like it, then they showed me nokia, simple, if you dont want to buy they dont force consumers to buy, its upto customer to buy or not, its thier product so they will show you once, if you dont want to buy then simply say no, they will not snatch the money from consumers pocket, i am regular customer from 8 years to this company, even though my family and friends do purchase from this shop, no such problem is there
