Gm Switches Complaints & Reviews

All electrical switches used in my new house was purchased in 2015 from m/s. Absar tading, thrissur. I started to stay in the house and use the same in july 2016.
My complaint is, out of 9 nos. 30 amp. Switches used in my house, 4 switches became defective within one year. I was informed by the dealer that the gm switches have guaranteed performance of 10 years.

Kindly arrange to replace these switches by the dealer at the earliest.

I have used GM switches and fan regulators in my G+2 storeyed building.

Complaint 1:
One 20A modular switch (indicator type) failed within 550 cycles of operation. Failure mode: switch gets inactive to OFF position. The failed switch is with me. Kindly replace the failed switch under warranty.

Complaint 2:
Fan regulator knobs rotates over the regulator spindle. Unable to regulate the fan speed. More than 8 nos failures were reported. Failed knobs are with me. Suspect the failure is due to poor design / inadequate wall thickness in the holding area. Kindly replace the failed knows.

How you are going to avoid such failure in future?

When we buy gm brand for my new house company committed for life time guarantee and replacement if any damage will happen they will replace it.

Kindly we are suffering mentally and due to summer fan is not working.

I had purchased these Gm switches last year, four to five switches are not working .as per dealer life time grunt-tee the swatches are not working very early Please provide to change four to five switches which are no working

Since the time I replaced all the existing switches to GM switches, I find all the lamps and tube lights flicker the moment the switches are operated ON.
The flickering is distinctly noticed practically in all the lamps.
The fan regulators were replaced immediately after they were installed as the speed regulation was not happening. The replaced units too are erratic and the steps in reduction and increase is not uniform and steady.

Replaced all house switches but one atleast 3 switches and a regulator has got spoilt. When purchased it was said that it is a 10 year guarantee or life time guarantee and switches wl be replaced by calling the call center. But they have removed the number from their website and don't respond on emails. Contact no is [protected]

Please do the corrective action as i have installed above switches in my living room and kitchen where the switch and socket distance is so
small, when standard 3 pin plug is plugged into socket switch is pressed by standard 3pin plug.
This is a flaw in design where it is your duty to replace the whole assembly or take necessary corrective action to fix the flaw.

We had shifted to a new flat in May 2014. Since we had heard a lot about GM products we opted for modular and all type of switches, dummy plates etc. In short the full flat was fitted with GM products. Now, within the last six months the 6 amp switches and 6 amp sockets gradually started malfunctioning. We had already replaced 5 switches and 1 socket. The replacement is cumbersome and costly. In comparison, our friend had fitted another brand switches (Anchor) and the same is functioning well for the last 5 years. We also have the cash memo. Our concern is that the name GM is being tarnished. After this we will definitely not recommend GM to our friends and relatives. Dear Sir,
As we constructed a new house in 2009. we preferred GM switches to our house. It is surprised that 15 out of 55 switches had been cracked with in a year. It is requested that necessary action must be taken against the supplier.

I am Santhanam from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Since I had great opinion about GM switches I used only GM switches for my recently built house(construction completed on December 2011). But within 4 weeks(During last week of Jan'12) two of the electronic regulators were not working properly (the fans are running only at full speed or they do not run at all).Hence I called the contractor to replace them. He also replaced both regulators. But within 50 days ( now, for the past 4 days) the replaced regulators are also no functioning properly. I do not know what is the problem. Is this the quality of GM switches?
