Refrigerator is not working properly
We purchase a godrej double door fridge from kollam(Aaliyas electronics).it is very worst product.good for nothing.from the beginning itself it makes a big headache. Rubber part was very loose in freezer everytime v fix it after some time it regain the original shape.v got lot of loss of vegetables milk meat and fish with this refrigerator. It works by automatically. Now the lower part s not working. Currys filled with flies and worms. Plz never make fool the customers.we never ever buy this godrej product. Most worst experience that happened. Literally WASTE OF MONEY

Sound Issue
After reading so many complaints I am feeling so guilt after having this EON Fridge at my home .. Today is the First day and the Sound is like I am watching some Horror movie..
After The fridge delivery came and after 5 hrs same day engineer visit. When I asked him about the sound he said wait for 48 hrs and if the same problem persist u can lodge complaint.. I lodged complaint to Vijay Sales customer care and they said If we r not satisfied with the product we can replace it with some other brand ..

poor and pathetic service
I'm staying in puri orrissa. And i'm facing a lot of pprobem of godrej refrigerator service. I never knew they provide such poor facilities. I went to the service center myself to lodge a complaint so that someone is sent to repair the refrigerator. And its more than 20 days they did not pay any heed to it. Its an urgent so its a request to take some move as soon as possible. The place where the service is needed is shyamajyoti hotel in puri, orrissa.

Faulty Unit

Hello Sir,
I had purchased Godrej Refrigerator in Nov 2012. Last month refrierator stopped working and we called the customer care an they sent a technician to check. However fridge started working automatically. So we said that we did not want any help however the technician said that we will have to pay the visiting charges. He check the refrigeraotr and said that the Timer was not working properly. We did not change the timer, however paid the visiting charges. After a couple of day unit again stopped working and repeated started working and then stopped working on its own.
We called the customer care again and a technician was sent who said that actually the motor was not working. This time we decided to change the motor. He changed the motor and charged 800 Rs for that. After couple of day same problem occured and we called customer care again. They sent a technician who said that actually the timer was faulty and asked 700 Rs for it. By this time I have already paid 1200 Rs to them and Fridge was still not working. I called the supervisor and he said that if we want to change the timer we will have to pay. I dont want to pay as I have already paid and it was the technicians fault that he could not diagnose the correct and problem we had to pay for his mistake. I want them to replace the unit asap.
I have all the receipts for the money paid to the technicians. Kindly help, it will be gratly appreciated.

bed experience with godrej product

Dear Sir/Madam
I had purchased the Godrej Eon on 13th august 2012 from Vijay sales Thane, but within 14 days product is dead. On 25/8/12 I called customer service, 26th aug godrej person has visited our place and has explained that Timer has been failed and had replaced due to voltage fluctuation.
But this excuse is not at all accepted by me. As load shedding is common thing in mumbai and this is not the first time we are using refrigerator.
We selected godrej product as it has stabaliser free operation system in it and helps when there is power fluctuations. But its very bad that we had changed the part of the refrigerator just in 14 days and even godrej customer service executive who visited said me that we have to buy a stabilizer to control it, it means that there is no stabalizer in it it was not at all true commitment.
I could not accept this and I want godrej company to change the refrigerator as soon as possible.
Kindly have a serious look at the matter and take strict action against it as soon as possible.

I have purchased godrej eon 230 L fridge last year ant it had broke down twice during warranty period first time it faiked due to thermostat and in second occasion its compressor conked off however you engineer responded quickly but he has advised us to use voltage stabiliser. We were using fridge of different brands since last 20 years but we never used voltage stabiliser. Againg compressor failed two days back and I need to pay the charges for service.
My question to you in mumbai when thecpower is so stable why we need to use stabiliser. Again your engineer recommend to use stabiliser when other compititors of your don't recommend

Faulty Refrigerator

I had purchased a Godrej EON Refrigrator 31 LMT 4, S.No. [protected] on 17.06.2012 from Super Electronics, Uttam Nagar after the dealer convinced me of superb quality of this refrigrator over the other Brands. The fridge was delivered to me on 17.06.2012 at around 10.30 p.m. with the instructions to start is after 5-6 hours. Next day when I plugged the Fridge I observed this do not have appropriate cooling, a complaint was lodged with the customer care, who advised that the settings may not be appropriate and a demo was arranged. The technician during his visit on 21.06.2012 explained and changed the settings with the assurance that it will now work properly, but I was surprised to see that no freezing was taking place in the Freezer Section inspite of adjusting the settings and also the food material was getting perished. I approached the dealer and lodged the complaint with the customer care on 23.06.2012. However, on 24.06.2012 when I called up Customer care to check the status of my complaint. I was told that the complaint was lodged today itself at 12.00 p.m. After a lot of efforts, the technician visit was arranged on 25.06.2012 at around 6.30 p.m. who confimed that the Compressor is faulty and is working intermittantly. This is evident that the fridge has manufacturing defect and needs replacement. I had good faith in Godrej Products and after this event I feel that I have taken a wrong decision to trust Godrej. The issue is not yet resolved

the refrigerator is not cooling. even after lodging a complaint no one came to attend it for 3days. on calling them for several times they turned up but unfortunately there was no electricity at that time so they hurriedly went away promising that they would turn up in the evening for the same. as expected they didn't come that evening and its been 3 more days since that day and they haven't yet turned up.

Horrible Bad Smell from New Refrigerator

I have purchased a brand new Godrej refrigerator (Model Number:GFE25TZ/2011) from NEXT showroom of Marathahalli,Bangalore.
From next day I started getting horrible bad smell without keeping anything inside. I reported to Godrej consumer care service centre and registered a complaint also. But I am frustrated with their innovative explanations to justify that it is not a problem and you will get the same from all refrigerator.
Every time I call their customer care and they give me a new story.
I really appreciate any help or suggestions on the same.

Godrej Refrigerator — Very Bad smell Coming from New empty Refrigerator
Very Bad smell Coming from inside of New empty Refrigerator(20,000/-). Called helpline but no positive steps taken to resolve. They tried to replace a good part of refrigerator with bad part because of that i got new problem along with previous problem. Don't know what to do ? Please help!! We bought Godrej Eon refrigerator 280 ltrs from Girdhar bangalore less than a year ago, On and off we are experiencing one or the other problems with the fridge, the bulb fuses, the cooling stops, the thermostat packed up, various repairs and replacements of parts, now the fridge started producing stinking odour, tired of this product, maybe the stinking odour coming from the drain pipe located concealed at the back of fridge, Appreciate if readers and/or the godrej manufacturer advise us what to do.

Getting very bad smell from Godrej Eon. There is water droplet on the ceiling in the fridge (not the freezer on the top). Called service center many a times (toll free no). The service guy keeps telling he will come. Need solution urgently. Anything kept in the fridge is getting spoiled (food/milk/raw vegetables)

Cockroaches in Godrej Eon refrigerator

This is to bring to your notice that we get lot of cockroaches from Godrej Eon refrigrator since two years. We are keeping it neat and clean but not sure from where they are coming. There is a risk to my family's health. I also informed to J D Electronics, Hyd from where we have purchased the product. I am not sure what to do? Its been 6 months that i got service for my refrigrator. Request you to look into it.

I bought a Godrej Eon refrigerator, on 23rd Oct 2011, and it was delivered to me on 24th Oct.
My complaint is I have received the product in Polythene packed condition and not Carton packed condition.
There is no User manual book, or the gurantee card.
This product was bought from Girias Store at Bannerghatta road - Bangalore. The store manager said that this product comes in the same packing from the Godrej company.
I do not believe that this would be packing condition of a new product.
I want this product to be exchanged by a new company sealed product.

Faulty Machine

I have bought Godrej Eon Refrigerator in November 2011. After only 6 months the Machine is giving us immense problems. Initially there was a coooling prblem then it was found there was some problem in gas pipe. Last week only Godrej Technician mended the problem. Right after that a new problem has cropped up, the door is making a loud sound while closing
Am afraid right after the warranty period is over the problem will increase. Iwould request the Forum to please look in the matter.

Godrej EON Refrigerator — ALL FOOD ITEMS GETTING ROTTEN DUE TO EXCESS ICE
Have purchased Godrej EON Refrigertor 2 and half years back.It is giving problem fromn the day of purchase.
All Vegetables and food materials inside are covered with ICe and once it is kept outside in normal temparature , all foods/vegetables/fruits are rotten up due to excess ice water inside.
A Complain was made within 3 months of purchase, they took arround 1000/- and change some parts and insists on AMC for 1 year.
Now whenever I call they first insist immensely on AMC as if they are sure that my refrigerator will surely need repair.
Have called up sevaral times the Toll Free numbers [protected][protected][protected] but no reply.
Need your serious intervention to repair my Refrigerator or else hve to knock the door of consumer forum.

Godrej — Sub standard refrigerator
I bought a Godrej eon refrigetor in October 2007. In last 3 months, it has broken down 4 times. Sometimes the fan is not working and sometimes its the thermostat. Godrej refuses to replace it saying that they can repair but not replace it. As both me and my wife are working, it has become a real pain as everytime this happens, me or my wife has to stay back to get it repaired. Please do not send such greedy representatives to my house who first demands money and does nothing to rectify the instruments. Such agents and representatives will definitely bring bad name to the once reputed company. I do not want to hand over the case to the consumer court or to publish stories of your company in the press and hope that defective piece will soon be replaced by your goodself.
I have now come to a conclusion that this refrigerator is having a manufacturing defect and it can never work satisfactorily and hence I can no longer keep it with me and keep facing problems every day. As such, I request your kind honour to look into the matter and either take back the product and refund the cost of the refrigerator or immediately replace it, failing which, I shall be left with no option but to file a case with the DISTRICT CONSUMER FORUM for not only refund of cost but also for the monetary compensation for unnecessary mental agony, tension and the losses that I had to suffer from the date of purchases till date.

I am not sure if you are the right person to address this query to, but i have exhausted all other options. I had purchased a Godrej Eon refrigerator in April 2009, immediately after that in May 09, the tray was broken, and i raised a service request for changing it. Despite my agreeing to bear the cost, it has not been changed. I have had atleast 5 different service man coming to my house looking at it and going off.The last complaint no given by the service desk was 429611, but still it is not changed, request your intervention, as i had tremendous faith in sales and services of GODREJ, which has taken a severe beating after this experiance.

i had bought a 2 door frostfree refrig in Jan 08. Within 6 mths i had problem of the the plastics of the door handle which was broken. When i complained about it i was told that a service engineer would come and his visiting charges would be 350/- plus the cost of replacement. This is extremely exorbitant . Firstly if i pay pay more than INR 26000/- for a product i expect certain std of quality, which to my astonishment that u r using such poor quality of mtrl. i refused to pay the service charges and instead bought the plastic handle for 150/- and put it myself.Secondly , the main door of the frig has now got problems relating to non closing of the door. Again i had to complain , and have to pay 1200/- plus 350/- for the door rubber detachable lining and service charges. i feel this is neither warranted seeing that the cost of the appliance and should not be the case that everytime something gets defective. i had gone for this product of godrej as my earlier frig gave me troublefree service for ten yrs. I am very disappointed, henceforth no product is coming to my house or any friends. For heavensake maintain quality products for such costly items.

I have purchased a Godrej EON Frost Free Refrigerator double door on 31/05/2008 from Vijay Sales Thane near eternity mall. Only within a span of 24 months the refrigerator has gone out of order and the Godrej technician told that they will either replace the compressor as the problem lies with the compressor.
It is very strange that such a big company is making so sub standard quality refrigerator that the unit becomes faulty within a few months and then they refuse to replace it. It is not sure that they will be giving a new compressor also. They may even give an used compressor as spare. Also the technician told me that i will have to spare rs 2000 from my own pocket for gas and other even though the compressor is replaced. This is sheer cheating and depriving the consumer of his rights.
as the customer is suffering after spending Rs.15000/- for buying this sub standard quality product. Godrej people are equally reluctant in giving proper service. I purchased one Godrej Eon Refrigerator 350ml from the Office of Godrej,at GN block,Sector V ,Salt Lake. But it is of very poor quality all the fittings are below the standard. I lodged complaint with their customer care on 10/11/2010 vide docket no 368412 which remains still unattended. It appears to be cheat and fraud type. They are only selling product by giving false and wrong information.
I request you to take up the matter with them and stop such type of fraudulant activities.

I have bought godrej double door refrigerator 5 months back. It is having cooling problem. I have contacted Godrej for replacement as gas leakage problem is perperual which I came to know when reading numerous complaints. I am ready to consent rectifing mode which they are requesting but they are not giving any gaurantee if the problem persists again within 7/8 months and when the warantee period is over. please advice.

my name is vinay and i visited reliance digital store on 15th Sept to buy a refrigerator and a microwave oven along with my wife. we selected godrej refrigerator and a microwave and when asked about co lours available the staff told that gray is the only co lour that godrej manufactures for this model refrigerator. we believed them and paid thirty one thousand five hundred.Next day i received a refrigerator which wasn't new and was having multiple scratches on the body. later when i checked godrej website i found the model is available in 3 colors.subsequently after nearly 20 calls the technicians came and agreed to replace the unit within 24 hrs. after running around the store for over a week the store manager finally agreed either to send the color of our choice(shell wine red) or to refund the full amount in writing by 23rd sept. which of course never happened. i kept calling reliance people but they told you must speak to godrej directly and were very rude and unresponsive. how can i speak to godrej when money is charged by reliance?
subsequently when i went to store again for 6th time and waiting for over 4 hrs they told me to pay Rs 954/- more for the color that we wanted else delivery is not possible.
worst part is after spending 32000/- rupees i was not eligible for dussehra/diwali offers for which they have been advertising in every available magazine and newspaper because the offer was valid from 17th Sept. I fail to understand how can someone be so rude and unapologetic and when they have not delivered the product then how can they say that your deal was done before the offer period. The deal is not over till the customer gets his product at home.
I am appalled at the service and the cheating attitude of salespersons present at their store.Presently im still awaiting my refrigerator..........and today is 1st October

that it's aworld class (which i agree) one and with their support. Here i have to tell u one thing that to down load any song or movie to the ipod you need the support soft ware from
apple company's web site. And the sales men (Rahul)told that the software is free to down load and if any problem comes in the download you please bring a pendrive i will copy the software from our computer.I agreed for that and tried it in my computer.It's not happend.
Imedeatly i contacted rahul and again rahul said the same thing that bring a pendrive ©.
Mean while i tried some other site(CNET)&downloaded the software.But the software not working properly.Again i notified the problem in person in the store.At the time rahul is not avilable some other person (Mahalakshmi)attended and she showed the demo how to download and use. I came back to my house and tried in my computer & it's not done .Then i contacted my service engineer .He told because of my computer's high security standard it cant be downloaded.
Again I personally gone to the store and told the problem .They are not at all responsive and stand 30 minitues infront of them.Finally Mahalakshmi came and told rahul is not atall avilable if i want the soft ware i have to pay RS83/-. For that i annoyed and i argued with them.But they are stubbornly telling what rahul told is irrelevent.I told them that
it's not a question of Rs83/- if i can spend Rs12000/- that small amount is nothing& argued
that it's matter of honuring your word. But they refused. I got angry and smashed the ipod in front of them and told that when u r not honuring u r word i wont use that & barged out of the store.
In this matter i know that i over reacted but because of their behavior. I may lost Rs12000/- but i will not compromise in such standards in my life.
Actually i dont want to tell this to any body but i clodn't bear their inadequate
behavior those 30minitues. just i want to pore my anguish.That's all.

I have purchased a ipod (apple) which is costing around Rs12000/- from the
above said store.Actually i want to purchase a philips 8gb. But the sales men pursuaded me
that it's aworld class (which i agree) one and with their support. Here i have to tell u one thing that to down load any song or movie to the ipod you need the support soft ware from
apple company's web site. And the sales men (Rahul)told that the software is free to down load and if any problem comes in the download you please bring a pendrive i will copy the software from our computer.I agreed for that and tried it in my computer.It's not happend.
Imedeatly i contacted rahul and again rahul said the same thing that bring a pendrive ©.

You can't expect more from Reliance. I have gone through the same horrible experience with reliance digital at A.S.Rao Nagar, Hyderabad. They are selling only old and defective products.
And yeah..We ordered for an Eon fridge of Godrej.We were satisfied with the color Gray as it suited our Tiles' color.When it was delivered we found it damaged at the corner.However, we accepted their promise of repairing and started using it.What shocked me is that it was nt capable of converting water to ice cubes(the most important feature that people expect or use to test the fridge).Our milk and curd went sour.Now I wonder what this piece will do at the least.I have asked for a replacement.Awaiting... :)
Reliance Digital / Godrej Refrigerator — No service after sales
To whomsoever it concernsI am a very upset customer of Reliance Digital's services at Hubli.
I had purchased a Godrej Edge Refrigirator from Reliance digital Store Vidyanagar Hubli, Karnataka and as promised by the staff at store no service of any kind is given by the company once the product is sold.
I have complained about the defecet in the Refrigirator several times on phone and also in person 3 times but till today no person has come down to provide the service and repair.
As such I would like to bring this to the notice of Godrej Co. also not to sale your products through Reliance digital Stores as they are not providing the after sales service.
Gist of my complaint: Dont purchase any products at the Reliance Digital Store as there is no after sales service
i fully agree to all the problems faced by people, coz i am 1 of them.i bought the fridge from snehanjali, neither them nor the company were ready to replace the piece when i 1st faced the problem within 2 months {in november, 2008]of my purchase date which is 29th sept.2008.the technician came and solved the problem saying there was choke in the cooling pipe.then again in mid january 2009 there was a problem of gas leak.on requesting 100's of times to replace and not to repair the piece, they still did what they wanted to do.ONE MORE REPAIR.gas problem was solved then in mid march there was toooo much of noise coming from the fridge on complaining again they came and solved but no replacement.now today is oct 30th 2009 again there is gas leak problem.god knows when this problem will be solved.my godrej eon model no.is 36DZ worth Rs.25000

We purchased theGodrej Refrigerator - EON during the last week of May, 2008. we requested for the demonstration from the company personnel, as on now also, nobody reponded our request. We are also facing such like problems. We purchased EON Godrej Refrigerator about 2 years ago but from the very beginning day it started giving problems like; giving sound like an airplane when compressor cuts of, handle started breaking without any mishandling, liner cracked within 6 months. We informed Godrej about these problems but they tried to satisfy us with lame excuses. For sound they said that such a big fridge gives sound like that; for poor quality of handle they said it is due to mishandling and for crack they said that this is not a crack but this is mark which looks like a crack. But they compelled us for taking an AMC @3500/- and impressed us that we should also use Godrej's Stabilizer otherwise if your fridge gets defective, we will not be held responsible for that. It shows that they were aware of the Godrej Refrigerators's common problems as a result they kept us prepared from the very beginning that if this fridge gets defective, then it will be due to our fault, not of Godrej.
As a result we are still using the same defective refrigerator and trying to contact their senior officers who are giving the same lame excuses. Govt. should made strict rules for such a cheating to protect the interests of consumers otherwise every tom, dick and harry will sell his defective and sub-standard product at a higher rate and then will disappear. I bought similar eon from vijay sales it had so much sound on the ist day.I refused to accept it but Godrej and Vijay sales did not help it took me three months to convince them that there is too much sound.I was fooled by them by a sonometer which was not caliberated, vijay sales were just dumb spectators and were simply good at talking but no results.I was over chrged by vijay sales also.the price mentioned on the box was less than what they charged me for another item i bought on the same day.they agreed to refund the excess charge but only when I pointed out.finally i got free replacement of refrigerator but that replacement was of anotherr model a smaller in size than the original one.A QUITE DIFFERENT MODEL NAME THAN ONE MARKED ON THE BILL. but again there is no demo of the replacement as yet.now it is winter what will i do with this refrigerator in winter.

The same sound problem exists in the new fridge we bought 5 months ago, the company replaced the compressor but still the dirty sound (old diesel car sound) comes from it.
Hey We too have the same Godrej eon. It makes sound like someone is weeping, sometimes it sound like 'aaaahhhhh', different sounds like we sometimes make. Previously the sound was heard only at nights and that made us scary in the beginning and then we realized it's our fride and not any other human being at night. But now the noise can be heard in the day time also. Just googled to find if this is really a defect in this model. Now its time to call the service engineers to fix it pretty soon.

I purchased a ggorej eon a month back from Raipur Electronics, Kharagpur W/B.After a week the fridge stopped cooling and some noices started coming out, I called the customer care which is pathetic and of no use, after continous calls the technician visited and said that the compressor is dead, it need to get replace. I said no and called up the customer once again, again no proper answer and after several calls they gave me someone no by the name Puja Singh, He told me that i will get a replacement after continue calls with him, Ultimately the replacement arrived and today the technician came for the installiation, and after he went pathetic and erritating sound started coming, I don't know what to do, thinking of filing a complaint against the company tomorrow, This raipur electronics west Bengal kharagpur r selling fraud products as well as goodrej customer care and also the service is worst more than that, Do not ever buy anything thing from them, They r chors...

Compressor out of order within 5 months from date of purchase

I am Kaushik Nag of 2 Sarat Chatterjee Road, PO Nabagram, District Hooghly, Pincode 712246. I have purchased a Godrej EON Frost Free Refrigerator 243 Litre in the month of december 2008. Only within a span of 5 months the refrigerator has gone out of order and the Godrej technician told that they will replace the compressor as the problem lies with the compressor.
I had contacted the company and Great Eastern Trading company who spold it to me for replacement of the complete unit. But they refused. It is very strange that such a big company is making so sub standard quality refrigerator that the unit becomes faulty within a few months and then they refuse to replace it. It is not sure that they will be giving a new compressor also. They may even give an used compressor as spare. They are also not sure when they will replace it. They will only do it if the compressor is available in the stock.
In this hot summer I as the customer is suffering after spending Rs.12000/- for buying this sub standard quality product. Godrej people are equally reluctant in giving proper service. They are cheating people by selling sub standard products without proper quality check. Both Godrej & Boyce Co Ltd anf Great Eastern Trading Company should be answerable for this.

i have purchase godrej refrigator 13/06/2008.and after one year my compresor is ont work.so i am complain 6 time in toll free number.after 6 days no engineer is come to see my freeze. Helpful

Pathetic Customer Care
Dear Sir/Madam,
We have puschased a Godrej refrigerator (model:GFE 36 DY/DZ/2008, 342LTRS) in the month of Feb, 2008. from one of the representatives Mr.Anil Kumar who used to visit our house for servicing of our previous refrigerator, as there was a problem wth our existing refrigerator he gave us an exchange offer and we accepted the same. after 2 months of purchase there was a crack in the handhe for which we had to complaint (tried to contact Mr.Anil Kumar several times but no responce) but they took more than a month to react on the same and lated changed the handle which is of different colour and we were told that due to shortage of stock they had to give a different colour and they would replace the same once they receive the stock, but that never happened, now we have a new problem where the vegetables stored in the refrigerator are getting soggy and frozen even in the vegetable basket (with temperature adjusted as required). I lodged a complain on the same today and one of their representatives visited our home. he checks the fridge and instead of rectifing the problem he tells us to store less items in the refrigerator to avoid the problem, more over he feels that they could have served us better if we would have taken the refrigerator from the company directly instead of the executive, I fail to understand if Godrej has different production units where they would produce refrigerator differently for people who buy form their different outlets.
I that is not the case I would request them to look in the same and rectify the problem at the earliest.
