Extremely poor and worst quality of tyres(Good Year) of Creta
1. I'm writing with respect to the extremely poor and worst quality of tyres any company can make i.e. Good Year and another company which can buy such tyres for its cars i.e. Hyundai. I purchased Creta in Apr 2017 from Natraj Hyundai, Jhansi. Since then it has run about 25, 000 kms only. The reason is that beyond 10, 000 kms of run, the car's tyres started to give problems while driving to include worsening of treads, auto deflation, wobbling and frequent punctures.
2. Firstly, its difficult to understand that how a tubeless tyre can become flat while driving on a road which violates the very logic and science behind the basic design of a tubeless tyre and this incident took place with me in Feb 2022, in which a huge blast sound was heard when the rear right tyre had burst, photo attached, which led to sudden imbalance of the car while driving on a bridge and could have led to a fatal accident had I not controlled the car in time. Secondly, when I shared this incident with both the companies, there was not much help or a positive response from either Hyundai or Good Year despite explaining the entire issue except that a tyre was changed in place of the busted tyre on payment on 30 Mar 2022 (photo of the bill is attached).
3. With the tyres continuing its atrocious performance, recently, in Nov 2022, based on a request to Sachin Hyundai at Bareilly, an appointment was fixed by them for an engr to visit from Good Year to inspect the Godforsaken condition of the tyres. The engr named Mr Shubham Mitra, mob No [protected], from Kanpur visited. He inspected the tyres and told that the tyres are out of warranty and also showed me a marking on the tyres which read '1017' (photo attached) which as per him meant that the tyres were manufactured in Oct 2017. It was a total surprise and conflicting to know the assessment and statement made by him. He told that since the warranty of the tyres was 5 yrs i.e. till Oct 2022 and this inspection was being done in Nov 2022 so the tyres are out of warranty and can't be replaced/ no solution can be provided for it. The same was notified to me in PDF format also, which I shared with Sachin Hyundai, Bareilly also.
4. Now with this statement, I want to know two things. Firstly, if the tyres were in warranty till Oct 2022 then how was the replacement of the tyre on 30 Mar 2022, as mentioned above, was charged to me? Secondly, if I had purchased the car in Apr 2017, how is it possible that the manufacturer can mention the make of the tyre as '1017' which means the manufacture of the tyre was in Oct 2017. If the meaning of this marking is something else then its really high time that Good Year to employ people capable, knowledgeable and professional enough to at least know the markings on the tyres, if not more.
5. Finally, it is extremely disappointing to have purchased a car from Hyundai having Good Year tyres. Also, with repeated requests the reply given by both the companies is unacceptable and unreasonable.
6. So, having an extremely poor experience with both the companies at least since last one year on grievance portal, it is informed to you once again to kindly understand the issue and provide a suitable solution to the worsening condition of all the tyres each day at the earliest which includes severe deterioration of treads, auto deflation and wobbling. Soon, this information may be on other social media platforms in order to warn people with correct reviews from spending their precious money on such cars with such poor quality Good Year tyres. Also, I may approach consumer court soon with all these photos and documents if no suitable and satisfactory solution is provided within 10 days time from now.

Staff Lie to Customers and Put Their Lives at Risk

I sent an online email about this previously and did not receive a response. I visited store #2135 on 01/22/22 for an oil change and an all points inspection because I was taking a long distance drive. I was advised that both could be done. I left my car and came back to pick it up. I asked about the all points inspection recommendations and the older African American male advised that everything looked good. I asked for a copy of the inspection report and I was advised that the report was attached to my receipt. I went home and sat down to look over the inspection and there was no report attached. I called the store and spoke to the same man who became very nasty with me. He said he was going to look for the report and call me back. He slammed the phone down. I have never received a phone call back nor did I expect to receive one. Your staff lies to customers and put their lives in danger. All inspection reports are a part of the customer’s computer profile and are printed and given to the customer. There was no need for him to look for anything. He said this to get me off the phone.
The staff appear to be very stressed about servicing vehicles due to lack of staff. I went to this store four times to drop off my car for the above stated service and was told three times that they were too busy to take my car. They reluctantly took my car on the fourth time.
I do not know what has happened to the Goodyear name but as far as I am concerned, it is TRASH. I looked you up online and could not believe the amount of money you are paid to be CEO. It is mind boggling. It does not take that amount of money for anyone to live comfortably. Maybe this is why the company is suffering so much. Some of the money you are paid could go towards hiring additional staff. Meanwhile your reviews and complaints online are horrible while you milk all the money out of the company.
Please advise why the staff lied to me about services that they never rendered.

After knocking each door and being frustrated by the response I have to write this email with refrence to 2021-W426645 and E[protected]conplaint number where both of them have manufacturing defect where both of them are coming in warrantyable claim than being replased even when one of the tyre have been ridden not more than 10kms which is been received by good year too in warrantyable calim which begs a question on the quality of goodyear amougst 4 tyres purchased 2 tyres have manufacturing defect and even it was replaced a manufacturing defective tyre was handed over.Due to these suffering and hardships given by dealer" Gupta Tyre"Railway Roda Karnal Haryana-132001 and ASM of good year "Lavi Aggarwal" had left me no other choce but to move to competition "Ceat"tyres whch helps me in doing competition benchmarking where they not only have unconditional warrenty but they change the tyres on the spot
Request you to either change the tyres or provide the mony back ASAP

I am very dissapointed from this company Goodyear because goodyear cheats the customer & dissapointed service team because I purchase four tyres & my two tyres are defective & quality of rubber is very poor. Really I am very dissatisfied & dissapointed because my tyres are not change & waste of time no one responding my issue & inspection team very bad

Two tires damaged due to rubber property has air inside
I owned Hyundai Xcent VTVT AT from downtown, Chhani road, Nizampura Vadodara. My car has 5 tyres of Good Year including stepney. I used not to travel much and ran 22, 000 km till time. From last few days I have been facing car rolling and got inspected at Hyndai authorized workstation. Service engineer replied that the two tires' roadside surface middle layers are increasing in size (rubber property has air inside). It was shocking to me as I have already replaced my three tires because of this same issue with 20, 000 runs. Realistically, I use my car for domestic purposes and it runs in city areas where road condition and air pressure is healthy and hard to digest how the tubeless tyre gets bulged (air inside the rubber property) without any significant reason. It seems like a manufacturing defect and requesting you to help me out.

This is my 2nd time BAD experience... In very recent time (a month ago), one of my Good year tyre got bulge bubble and i paid 25% after inspection and got it replaced... Suddenly i noticed a week back that all my 4 tyre including Stepney tyre got bulge... This is not acceptable... I just ran 10k km and it is new Car... I'm very disappointed with the quality of Good year tyre... i will not surely suggest anyone to go for Good year tyre anymore... Kindly find my vehicle details and replace all my 4 tyre without any charge.

Tire quality and swelling of tyre

I have purchased Tata Nexon in 2018 and driven around 27k kms. However, the side profile of 3 tyres are swelling because of no reason. I tried contacting the dealership they told me to raise a complaint since its a manufacturing fault. Pls resolve or update hence i need to take some action.

Last september 2019 i purchased a tata tiago xz+ from concord motors, nettoor, ernakulam, kerala. After completing 2100km i got a puncher on my left back tyre. I contacted the authorized goodyear service center for repair. They told me that "a 2cm crack is on my tyre, this is a manufacturing defect, please contact the car dealer for replacement". I contacted the concord motors and the engineer inspected the tyre and he also said the same. He take my tyre and registered the complaint in goodyear. Goodyear engineer inspected my tyre and he is telling that the tyre is damaged there is no warranty for that.in the inspection report (Sir-935329) he wrote my name, address and contact number as wrong. Actually the tyre has completed only 2100km, and there is 0% worn on that tyre. Then how my warranty will gone. Please send me the reply on [protected]@gmail.com

Recently i have purchased ciaz car on 14th oct from kataria automobiles ahmedabad. After running of 1000 kms my tyre punctured and when it was checked we found tyre had manufacturing defaults and can't be used further.
While complained in goodyear they simply rejected by saying some sharp object damaged tyre and we can't do anything.
Price of same tyre at their dealership is[protected] but at maruti workshop...

worst tires

Goodyear is the worst tyre company ever, my new honda city is only 1600 run & the good year tyre it had got torn off while driving. The company inspected my tyre & said that the issue was due to some road hazard & it is not covered in the warranty
Well, firstly tyres are ment to be run on roads only & not on carpets.
Secondly your company promises 2yr full warranty for any damage to tyre, which you don’t provide at time customers ask for it, by making silly excuses that this thing is not covered in warranty
So you guys should better focus on improving your tyre quality rather than disappointing your customer my making silly excuses
Lastly, i would like to request every retail customer & car companies not to use goodyear tyres as they are fraud and cheaters

Manufacturing Defect in GOODYEAR - GPS2 - 155/70 R13

On 18th Feb 2015, I purchased GOODYEAR - GPS2 - 155/70 R13 from the seller Capital Tyres Company, 41 Yusuf Sarai, New Delhi-110016. Within a year, I lost two of my tyres because of bursting of tyre or thread came out of the tyre while travelling on the road.Now, I have only two tyres left with me they are also start causing problems.Now, I tried to reach the company official from GoodYear and after checking those tyres they said it's an uneven tread wear and rejects my claim of manufacturing defect.As per the worker at the workshop where they checked the tyre he said the alignment and balancing is perfectly fine.Official also said Goodyear discontinue the GPS2 product which I doubt may be this is the reason or so many complaints in the tyre. Now, I read many reviews about the tyre GPS2 almost all the people complaint about them and even the seller also said that the we regularly observed complaints in GoodYear GPS2 tyres.Please don't buy the Goodyear GPS2 tyres or any tyre from GoodYear as it you have to suffer the very bad after sales service.Company claims for upto 1 Lac km but I don't think so it last for even 10, 000 km. Pls don't buy "GoodYear".

I buy Hyundai I20 Elite in June 2015 in 2 months only 1500 kms my left side Tyre is cracked i complained in Hyundai they said warranty to be claim from Good year firm. when i register complained Q[protected] and in that they your complained is solved satisfactorily but still now i did not get my replacement.Good year worst company don't buy this Tyre i am going to file case in consumer court regarding this.If the crack happen while riding the whether Goodyear company give life to us. No quality of the product they manufactured

Regarding Car's tyre

I live in Rajkot city of Gujarat state. I have Maruti Suzuki WagonR vxi (2010 Model). It's tyre are company fitted Goodyear tyres. Their size is 155/65R14 (GT3). It was filled/struck air in one of my tyre about 1 year ago. So, I complained in your company and you have told to replace it from your dealer "Amrut Enterprise". So, I went to your dealer "Amrut Enterprise (Rajkot-Gujarat)" for replacement. He sold me new tyre in price more than market rate. He added heavy transportation and handling charge. He deducted wearing cost of my old tyre. At sum, the new tyre cost me more than regular market rate.Again my car's another tyre was filled with air on one side. So, I lodged compalaint on 27/02/2014. My complaint no. was Q[protected]. So, your representative inspected tyre on 28/02/2014. He finalized that there is problem in tyre and he calculated 29 % wearing of tyre and he sent my claim to your dealer "R B Auto Traders" for pass. So, I went to your dealer "R B Auto Traders (Rajkot-Gujarat)" for tyre replacement. He solds new tyre in 3000/- rs. to all customers. But, mine was claimed tyre so he charged me 3200/- rs. for the same tyre. He deducted 29 % wearing cost from it. These two times while changing tyres due to your manufacturing problem, I had to pay 500/- rs. for wheel balancing & alignment each time. I have complained many times about this issue. I had communication with your representative many times through phone calls and emails. But there was not any solution for it and i did not get any refund for it. Today i faced the same problem with remaining 3 tyres. They all 3 tyres got filled Air in one side. So i lodged complain (Q[protected]) of this issue. I got this problem in all tyres now. Your all tyres of this series are defective. My car has driven only 16, 000 KM till now. Your tyres are of very low quality & low durability. It has not completed 5 years of your tyres & they all have became non usable. I properly maintain my car with proper air pressure, wheel alignment & balancing etc. But still I had to face this problem many times due to your manufacturing defect. You have very disappointed me in your tyre quality. If something happens in tyre while driving, then it will become a disaster for my family. There are continuose problems in your GT3 series tyres. Everyone is complaining for this GT3 series. We all facing so many problems because of your manufacturing defect. It is not our problem. I have to suffer because of your manufacturing problem. I had to pay for tyre charges, wheel balancing, alignment etc. You have to repay me all this expenses which I had made. I am also recommanding Maruti Suzuki & other customers to abort fitting your tyres & try some other company tyres.

I purchased a ford fiesta on January 2013... My car's one tyre have develeped a bubble one eeek before.. Tyre ws driven only 15000 kms. I have registered complaint nd engineer have inspected nd gave me a report regarding the complaint.. Nd he askd me to produce that to my car dealer. When i reachd there the dealer have rejected my request and told regarding tyre they have no responsibillity.. Please consider my complaint.. My number [protected]

Defective Tire

Dear Sir,
I had purchased four Goodyear Tires on 10th August, 2012 from an authorized dealer of Goodyear, Capital Tyres in South Delhi, which we had located through Goodyear portal and was recommended by Goodyear as branded dealer outlet. The very next day which is 11th August, a Saturday, we went for a short drive to Greater Noida from my residence in Saket, New Delhi and we suddenly heard a strange noise and stopped our car. We saw that the tire was flat. We immediately changed the tire and called the dealer who asked us to get it to him the next day. The total distance driven on these new tires were barely 50 kilometers.
Immediately on Sunday we rushed to the dealer and requested him to change the tire as the same was obviously defective and had kind of tore/burst on its own. No nail or sharp object was found in the tire as was also confirmed by the dealer. Since Sunday was a holiday for the Goodyear representative to visit, he requested us to wait till Monday. On Tuesday evening we were informed that the representative Mr. Sanjay Kumar had checked the tire and had reported that there is no manufacturing defect and we have run the tire on flat-which is completely false and a biased report.
We were told that as a special gesture they would replace the tire at half the cost. We do not believe and buy this story. This tire was completely defective, no sharp object had been found in the tire and still a false report is being circulated to mislead.
Incidentally Mr. Sanjay Kumar the service engineer from Goodyear was extremely rude when we tried connecting to him on Saturday after several attempts, he did not pick up our phone for continuously two day and on our request to visit the shop to see the tire in front o[censored]s, he simply refused and said that he is not well and cannot come. We requested that Goodyear is such a big company and surely some other representative can visit we are sure that the business does not stop because of one person, a junior engineer being unwell.
However we were told that nobody will be available and he said that we can talk to his senior Mr. Arvind but he did not have his number and said that he would give it to us in the evening.
As expected he never called up and neither did his senior. I believe there is some major fraud which is going on at this level where they are not even allowing the customer to reach out to any senior person and the entire process of inspection looked like a big farce and was not at all transparent.
My first question If everything was fair then they should have called us at the time of inspection, where we should also have been given an opportunity to bring our service engineer from Corolla service center and the report should have been handed over to us, instead we were harassed no end by the service engineer who simply refused to talk to us and gave us a totally false and biased report.
My second question if there is no manufacturing defect then why are you agreeing to replace at half the cost. We are in no need to any alms it is a question of integrity and the WARENTEE that Goodyear brand talks about.
My third question the report of the service engineer also bears the customers signature which is not mine. You can see my signatures when I have taken the tire back and signed at the shopkeeper’s document. Is this not FRAUD who has signed in the report on my behalf?
Is this how the Goodyear employees sign and do fraud?
We request you to look into this and throw some light as how false promises of Guarantees and Warrantees are being offered to customers. Appreciate if you can use your chennels to get us replacement of our tire.
I called wheel assist helpline number and have been asked to write an email to [protected]@goodyear.com and the same has been done. We have also lodged complain in their portal. Hope this is sufficient input to review my case.

I had purchased four Goodyear Tires on 10th August, 2012 from an authorized dealer of Goodyear, Capital Tyres in South Delhi, which we had located through Goodyear portal and was recommended by Goodyear as branded dealer outlet. The very next day which is 11th August, a Saturday, we went for a short drive to Greater Noida from my residence in Saket, New Delhi and we suddenly heard a strange noise and stopped our car. We saw that the tire was flat. We immediately changed the tire and called the dealer who asked us to get it to him the next day. The total distance driven on these new tires were barely 50 kilometers.
Immediately on Sunday we rushed to the dealer and requested him to change the tire as the same was obviously defective and had kind of tore/burst on its own. No nail or sharp object was found in the tire as was also confirmed by the dealer. Since Sunday was a holiday for the Goodyear representative to visit, he requested us to wait till Monday. On Tuesday evening we were informed that the representative Mr. Sanjay Kumar had checked the tire and had reported that there is no manufacturing defect and we have run the tire on flat-which is completely false and a biased report.
We were told that as a special gesture they would replace the tire at half the cost. We do not believe and buy this story. This tire was completely defective, no sharp object had been found in the tire and still a false report is being circulated to mislead.
Incidentally Mr. Sanjay Kumar the service engineer from Goodyear was extremely rude when we tried connecting to him on Saturday after several attempts, he did not pick up our phone for continuously two day and on our request to visit the shop to see the tire in front o[censored]s, he simply refused and said that he is not well and cannot come. I tend to agree about the inferior quality of service and bad quality of tyres from Good Year. I bought indica vista quadrajet fitted with Good Year tyres from Away motors at jeypore. In about 12000 Kms of running one tyre has developed a bulge at the centre of the tyre. I have called up the complaint centre and launched a complain and they sent me reply SMSs on the complaint number Q[protected] of Good Year and got reply that "Good Year wheel assist will contact you shortly" No body has contacted me till this time for last three days. i think they are not serious about customer service. if serious about the complaints then instruct your reps to contact0make a call to tell about the date and place of inspection at the earliest
I purchased a new Montana by Keystone 5th wheel trailer in 2012. It came equipped with Goodyear Marathon ST235/80R16 LRE tires. I check the air pressure before every trip and even carry a small compressor to keep the tires properly inflated. With about 3, 000 miles on the trailer, the drivers side front tire blew out causing damage to my trailer. Six weeks later, the passenger side front tire's tread completely separated causing damage to the camper. The total damage for both sides was estimated by my insurance adjuster to be over $1500 dollars. The Good Sam's emergency service provider told me that the Goodyear Marathon tires were extremely problematic and that I should replace them all with another brand. 5 replacement tires will cost me about $1500 dollars.
I contacted Goodyear warranty service but they offered me little or no help. They told me I could not get a warranty replacement and damage reimbursement because each department required the old tire, one of which was nothing more than shreds. Also, my insurance company needs to have the defective tires to pay for the damage.
My Progressive Insurance adjuster showed me on what was left of the one tire I still have, that it was made in China, though he did not come right out and say it, he suggested that Chinese Goodyear quality is extremely suspect.
I contacted Goodyear warranty service but they offered me little or no help. Tyres got damaged and not claimed

I have purchased two tyres around 6 months back from authorised dealer in Meerut city(U.P) from M/s Tyre Centre, contact number[protected] located near filmistaan cinema in city. While i was on trip to kotdwar the tyres suddenly started bubbling i got the air pressure checked and returned to my city but on the way the bubbling got worse.
When i went to the dealer he said that he will send the tyres for replacement to company and by the time he gave me a new tyre for the mean time use and one was the extra (stephny) tyre.
After a week he told me that one of the tyre has been rejected by the company and other will be replaced so i issued him a cheque for the amount and waited for the other tyre. He also gave me another new tyre in exchange of second tyre, i thought my duty was over now, but now he calls me and say that both the tyres have been rejected and i need to pay for other tyre also. The fault in tyres according to him is that a belt of steel inside tyre has broken which according to him is not a manufacturing defect.
Now what the main point of complaint is ,can this be broken by me manually, he said no, then it is a mere case of manufacturing defect.
I asked him for the contact number of some higher authorized person than he gave me some wrong number that is [protected].
I doubt he is somewhere cheating on me, so request you to please contact him and ask him to please change both of my tyres as its a case of manufacturing defect. I also have invoices for both of tyres.

these kind of dealers should be penalised for these kind of fake activities.
Why would consumer buy anything against a genuine bill and pay extra tax amount if he is not provided after sales service. Its better to purchase it from grey market.

After knocking each door and being frustrated by the response I have to write this email with refrence to 2021-W426645 and E[protected]conplaint number where both of them have manufacturing defect where both of them are coming in warrantyable claim than being replased even when one of the tyre have been ridden not more than 10kms which is been received by good year too in warrantyable calim which begs a question on the quality of goodyear amougst 4 tyres purchased 2 tyres have manufacturing defect and even it was replaced a manufacturing defective tyre was handed over.Due to these suffering and hardships given by dealer" Gupta Tyre"Railway Roda Karnal Haryana-132001 and ASM of good year "Lavi Aggarwal" had left me no other choce but to move to competition "Ceat"tyres whch helps me in doing competition benchmarking where they not only have unconditional warrenty but they change the tyres on the spot
