I bought pair of Goodyear tyres two months back in Amritsar, Punjab. Within two months there was a Crack in front tyre. I requested a replacement from dealer but he denied with excuse that it is purposely done.

On 16th April 2022, I was driving my car on highway (SH-243) along with my family. All of sudden (around 6:10 pm) driver side front and rear tires got burst even though road condition was good enough and car speed was in the range of 50-60kmph ( telematic data of Tata’s iRA app). Rear vehicle slightly grazed my car and somehow I could control and stop the car. By Gods grace nothing serious happened. Till date car has just covered 2157kms. I haven’t altered anything in the vehicle and all tires in the vehicle are right from the showroom itself (Factory Fit).
I would also like to highlight that the air pressure in the vehicle was as recommended by the CAR and in fact a point less than recommended (accounting for summer). I fail to understand how this could happen in a brand new vehicle (help me understand if you do!). Attached are some of the images which shows the damage to the tires sideways. I did not get any convincing answers from the service center when I approached them and by the looks of it, I felt the resolution could take a long time. I’m not sure why would one of the best vehicles out there in Indian market has serious issues in its tires. Now, every time I take my vehicle out I’m concerned if its safer on the roads to take my family with. Apart from the financial load I’m very much concerned about the safety now and seriously doubt about the “Safety rating” of the vehicle. I urge you to look into this matter very seriously! And tyre company is not giving replacement for tyres since car manufacturers does not warranty tyres

I have purchased the Hyundai i20 from Joshi Hyundai Mohali on 02 August 2017. The Tyre comes with new car. One day this month I found one of the car Tyre is popes up from side wall. I called Joshi Hynadi for the solution as the tyre has 5 year warrenty till 2022 for the resolution. They instructed me to contact the Tyre company. I contacted the Goodyear they provided the inspection from their engineer. I took off for the inspection as it happen at 3 PM. I traveled 20 KM up and down for inspection. The engineer said there is not cut out side as the Tyre is still holding the air and working currently in car and we have to check inside of the Tyre by opening it. I said yes to him. Then he show me that there is small tear inside so according to policy we can't do anything. But my question was It is not my fault. Why I will tear the tyre from inside. This happen due to poor quality of your tyre but he denied. They tyres are like new I just drove 13000 KM and they are claiming life of tyre is 50, 000. So they have warranty they should replace the tyre.

The tyre has developed multiple miniscule leaks... Can be seen after careful scrutiny. Car has done approx 30000+ kms... And is 2016 jul regd.
The other tyres are perfect and fine. It is a material failure as stated by the local mechanics.
Not withstanding any of the above. I request the goodyear co. To kindly register my complaint and give me a quick resolution so that i can change the tyre to avoid road side harassment.

Greetings for the day!

I am very disappointed on writing this.

I had a great belief in the brand maruti suzuki until i became the owner of a maruti suzuki car.

But the story changed when i started experienced premature both front & rear tyre wear problems.

This problem occurs first time in my life as previously i am using maruti 800 car having no such type of issues.

I visited the authorised service center on dated 10th april2018 for the periodic service maintenance of my car maruti ertiga vxi bsiv and have wheel balancing - 4 noswheels & wheel alignment on mileage 14446kms but something has done wrong that my car all the tyres seems uneven and premature wear out from the outward side.

My car maruti ertiga vxi is single hand driven car by my son mr. Vipul gupta only and is only for personal use and has no accidental records and no major damages after wheel alignment done on dated 10th april2018.

I believe that poor quality of tyres make "good year" has been factory fitted in my new car maruti ertiga vxi bsiv which results in premature wear out of tyres at the mileage of 18000kms.

Firstly i went 4 times to the maruti suzuki authorised workshop named "m/s akansha automobiles pvt. Ltd., moradabad, uttar pradesh in nov'18. Problem facing regarding car disbalancing and running to one side. At the workshop they checked and done wheel alignment & balancing three times but the problem remains as it is and problem was not resolved.

Thereafter i make complaint at maruti suzuki customer care number on 14th december 2018. After complaint, i received several calls from maruti suzki and mr shiva gupta, maruti suzuki service manager - head office dehradun also called me two times. Mr. Shiva gupta asked me why i had made complaint at msil toll free number instead of calling me to resolve the problem at the earliest.

Then mr shiva gupta send my car to a tyre vendor to check the tyres. He told us that these are" good year "tyres and quality of tyres are not good and not run much. He said that it is normal for" good year "make tyres to premature wear in the car and remain silent.

I visited corporate office of" good year "tyre company on dated 19.12.18 and make a written complaint registered at good year corporate office, delhi on dated 19.12.18.

Then on dated 23.12.18 good year tyre mechanic comes to moradabad uttar pradesh and checked my car premature wear out tyres and he verbally accepted that premature wear out tyres has manufacturing defect having ballooned (टायर फूल गया) from outside in all the tyres but not written in the report.

These tyres comes with the new purchased car maruti ertiga vxi, so maruti suzuki india limited is requested to kindly take-up the matter with higher authorities of tyre make company" good year " and replace my poor quality premature tyres worn out with the good quality tyres.

I request you to kindly either paid me full compensation for all the premature wear tyres and replace my tyres with the good one.

An early action will be highly appreciated.

Please refer to reference no q[protected]. I filed a complaint on the 26th of october and have not heard back on the inspection of the tyre yet. I have tried calling the customer care number multiple times but it never goes through.
I am looking to get the tyre inspected in gurgaon.
The affected tyre is a 1 year old tyre without even a single puncture. I am running without a spare since about a week now and want things to be expedited. Please help with an action at the earliest. I can be contacted on [protected].

I had buyer creta sx option in 2017.. Within one year and between 30000 km all tyres become out of order.. As the tyre puncture it become a big whole in it.. Means in single or first time puncture it become out of order... Even three tyres become out of order within 20000 km.. Kindly replace all these tyre as soon as possible.. As i cannot even take risk of traveling 50 km with these tyres.. I am using three tyre by having tube in it..

I have purchased new elite i20 model from. Within 3 months and around 2300 km, my tyre blast in high way and finally i shown my tyre at service station. Given photo proof of the tyre, they said its not manufacturing defect. How come it is not manufacturing defect that tyre blast within 2300km when the manufacturer give warranty for 40000km. This shows the quality of the goodyear tyres. They forced me to buy the tyre with own money, but just reduction 25% of price. The price of tyre in the online shows to the price of the showroom price (After 25%). That's mean the goodyear warranty person still cheating with price. Please understand my issue and help me.

Hi, recently i had the tyre breakdown which was from good year. The tyre was hardly 2 year old and driven less than 10, 000 kms. It got breakdown while i was driving and god forbiddingly i was safe. I would like you to inform that they are of not good quality as i never had problem with my earlier tyres which were from apollo and i manage to run them for 5 years and around 40000 kms witout any issues.

When i made complaint to good year and spoke to shruti, karthik and lalit, they all denied that there is no manufacturing defects and were not really to listen anything. They also never inspected my tyres once i registered the complaint. Very poor customer centric approach which has compelled me not to buy good year tyres anytime in future.

I am raising this complaint, so that any other person should think before buying tyre from them. Look for good brand before hand as otherwise you are in the risk zone.

I have purchased new hyundai creta sx model from navjivan plaza bharuch. After 25-30 days i found my all tyres getting punctures day by day and finally i checked all my tyres at service stati0n. They all said its manufacturing defect... So they cant help me. And than i complained on given complain numbers. But they gave me 6 days time period to visit my car. Whereas i using my car whole day... So how can i wait for such a long time,

MY COMPLAINT TO GOODYEAR AND MARUTI ON 18TH FEB' 2015 with complaint reference no. Q[protected] Five months back I bough a New Maruti Wagon R Stingray VXI with all 5 tyres of Goodyear 4 tyres on alloy rims and the spare on normal rim with tyre size of 155/65 R14 Few days back one of my tyre got damaged by itself while running. I got that tyre repaired from one of the tyre shop and put that as a spare tyre. After few days one more tyre got damaged itself and when I took that tyre to tyre shop he told me this tyre can not be repaired. I asked him to check all my tyres. Another tyre was having a bubble in it which he sail will have the same problem in few days. All tyres are having some or the other problem and while running the car feels shakey running on these tyres. If problem could have been with a single tyre I could have managed somehow. But if such a thing is there with all the tyres than its definitely something related to the manufacturing fault. I am using different cars since years but never faced such problem. Request you to please let me know what can be done with this issue as it is not possible for me to use my car in such a condition. On 2ND MARCH' 15 attached acknowledgement I Had survey done for my tyres from a surveyor from GOOD YEAR from whose report I was am satisfied. As the reasons he gave were not justified to me. Since then there is no response from the company. GOOD YEAR Tyres are the worst I tyres I have ever used in my life and will never ever suggest anyone to use them as GOOD YEAR assure customers with there worst ever services.

I bought 4 new tyres for my Maruti Ritz Desiel car from Saiiyengar Tyres, #179, 1st cross, Bilekhalli, Bannerghatta Rd., Bangalore. Amount paid Rs.12960.00 The performance of these tyres are so bad I would rather change the name of this company from Goodyer to Worstyear not even Badyear. I have been using a 4 wheeler for may be more than 30 years. My personal experience is that the tyres which come fitted with the brand new car last for 75000 km. & the first puncture happens only after the tyre has traveled about 30000 km because of the ruggedness of the tyre & its stability. The tyres which I buy after these tyres are worn out normally give me a mileage of about 40000 km. BUT UNFORTUNATELY THESE TYRES STARTED GETTING PUNCTURED WITHIN 500 KM. Out of 4 tyres 2 tyres had 3 punctures between them. I am Prashant Gupta, I purchased a New car Maruti Wagon R VXI (UK-O8-X-0932) only 2 monthsback.

On[protected] We went from Haridwae to Delhi with family. Near Meerut we crossed a speed bracker then after on 2nd speed bracker my car front right side tyre blast suddenly.Then I know how I controlled my car neither It could be convert in a big accident. I show off my tyre to the nearest tyre puncture shop. After seeing the tyre the shopkeeper said that this tyre is weak due to which it got blast. Now it is unrepairable. So he fitted a tube inside the tyre because it cannot be run as tubeless now.

After coming back to Haridwar on 16.04.12 I logged a complain to Goodyear customer care. They gave me the complain no. Q[protected] and called me up for inspection on 18.04.12 at Manchanda Tyres Haridwar. I visited the Dealer & met with the local engineer of GOOD YEAR TYRE (Mr. Devendra Singh). He inspected the tyre and said that this is not a manufacturing defect. It is a damage due to some external object.He didn’t give any satisfactory answer and said to me company doesn’t give any guaranty to Tyre blast & damage. And your company person neither change my Tyre nor gave me proper solution regarding it. But i am totally unsatisfied by this kind of reply. Although i know the actual status and suffering which i face in this. He refused to replace the tyre and said me do what ever you want.

So I would like to be ask from you now GOOD YEAR TYRE witch is so good & famous brand is it possible to happened this kind of problem in your company. My car run only 1200 km when tyre burst. I am so disappointed and shocked to know to get this kind of response from Goodyear Tyres. This is my first experience with the company.

So kindly give me proper solution and changed my Tyre.

TYRE DEVELOPED FOLLOWED BY CUT ON SIDE WALL IN JAN 2011 (1YEAR & 4 MONTHS).WORN OUT 25% ONLY. MY VEHICLE HAS DONE 12000 KMS ONLY.SPOT INSPECTION REPORT CARRIED OUT BY COMPANY REP DECLINES MANUFACTURING DEFECT.I REQUEST YOU TO RESOLVE THE MATTER & HELP ME OUT WITH THE REPLACEMENT OF TYRE AT THE EARLIEST.
