I booked a flight ticket through Gotogate/Booking.com which has been cancelled.
Gotogate/Booking.com do not want to refund my money, keep telling they are waiting for the airline company answer while I already heard from the airline company that it's not a problem for them to give me my refund.

Scammers

I booked two tickets for the 10th of January from Cochin to Melbourne via Colombo, with Srilankan Airlines via GotoGate in November 2021. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the flights due to COVID. I contacted the airlines and GotoGate made sure the tickets were refundable, before applying for a refund.

The refund has been pending with Gotogate for more than a month now, with no contact or information from them. The airlines also refuses to help as the booking was done through the platform. The only update I can see is that the refund is pending with the airlines, which I am not sure is true. Gotogate is one of the most unprofessional and non-responsive platforms I have ever come across.

1st complaint, I already received a confirmation from Singapore airlines that they refunded Gotogate for our cancelled flights under LF1AL0 however both Etraveli & Gotogate are not responding to my emails and doesn't reply about the status of my money on their end.

2nd complaint, our other tickets under the same confirmation LF1AL0 under Air Asia were cancelled as well. I called Gotogate customer service hotline, as usual this cost me again of hundred of dollars and the agent instructed me to get in touch with Air Asia directly for the rebooking or refund request. I did followed them and surprisingly AVA the Air asia virtual customer service mentioned she cannot do something about this cancelled flight and I need to contact Gotogate. What the heck!!! This flight should be on January 17, 2022 until now no action was taken on both sides.

I want my money back!! My booking with Gotogate was really pricey and no refund yet was given at all. I made new bookings with diff. booking platform and luckily it materialized but again costing me huge amount of money.

The company is conveniently holding onto amounts even when the airline has successfully refunded the money to the company. They are scamming a big amount this way from multiple traveler.
