I am staying as tenant in chennai. We are paying 12000 as rent and 500 maintenance fees. For electricity they are asking rs.7 per unit. Still she is increasing the rent amount each and every year rs.500. But she is not providing water properly. Also she is not allowing any of our relatives and friends. My daughter recently got married she (House owner) is not allowing her to my home. Also she will come into our house and check the things often. After that we are cleaning bathrooms and toilets by own and sometimes we will clean by person who are doing that work. We will pay the amount for that. But again she will come and ask us to clean by the person she knows who and asks for money again. We are 5 members in our family. First she accept for 5 people. Now she is telling that 2 people only allow to stay in that house. We are ready to vacate our home but she is doing too much. She should get some lesson. She is no need to give respect to tenant. She should think tenant also human being. Her name is chandra. I hope you will take some action.

Our house agreement has ended by march 2019. We are asking house owner to clear the deposit amount.
But he saying he doesn't have money to return back and nor agreeing to renew the agreement.

He has already created same issues to our neighbour house and doesn't return back the money.

Kindly help us...

I have give 2 months advance 13000 rupees after one and half month he said leave my house and i have some family problem. And i will see for you another good house without any problem. Ok then i said ok no problem you will see then i am going to another house. But after three months he not see for me any house in my budget and he will warn me to leave my house. And he said you don't leave then will beat you. And what i am doing you don't know.
I am very scared
Present i am searching for house but i can't find any house in my budget please help my family thanks

Present running 4th month

Hi, recently shifted to this new house where the rent is 9500 (500 is for maintenance) 500 per house itself is too costly for maintenance since not much maintenance work is there just for common bill and now that greedy owner and his wife were saying it's not included for cleaning car parking and stairs weekly wise.
So they are raising the mntnc amt to rs 1000 which is too much, increasing the rent immediately after shifting in just a month.
Also the lady is showing too much attitude problem and professionals or decent family can't stay in that house

Mysel[censored]sman from chennai-23, and working in a leather garment company.in our company provide us a room to stay for 10 employees are staying from the past three years in no.17, no 17 madavakkam tank rd, lm. Opposite to ayanavaram esi hospital, upstair in medplus medical and hotel limra, we are living there but from the past one month there is no water supply. When i request to house owner they ignore us and behavior is very worst and and scolding us why we are disturbing them. When we said arrange bore work on sunday then why you coming every time. Meanwhile fasting is going on how can we manage without water. They promised us from the past three week ago that bore will arrange but till then there is no response. We are paying rs.12150/- every month through by rtgs. Here i attached our latest rent and eb payment for your reference. I kindly request you to please do action against house owner.

I have lived in rent past 3 years in this house my apologized due to my health problem i didn't pay past 2 months rent, one day came my house owner speak to my house she is shouting and telling you go anywhere any place # but i need my rent, she telling this words in front of all neighbors, my wife is still crying and totally mental disappeared

I am subrahmanyam, staying in flat no 102, subhadra nilayam and paying rent of rs.11500/- per month. At the time of entering this house i paid rs.23000/- as advance. Every month i have been paying rent through online only. Now i am going for another house with low rent. Its already 8 months completed. I informed to the house owner mr. Rama chandram that i am vacating the house by march month end on 1st of march only. He accepted that also. After two days he called me asking for this month rent. I said there is already one month advance with you. But he is telling vacating within one year he will not give one month rent. There is no any rental agreement also with us. I was living in chennai sithalapakkam in mr. Arvind's house. I vacated as instructed by him on february 14, 2019. I had paid rs.40000/- as advance and didn't pay rent for december, january & february (Half month) rents, which has been decided mutually to be deducted in advance. When i requested for repayment of balance advance, house owner arvind says he will deduct rs.5000/- towards cleaning!! When i requested him to consider and repay he is not picking up calls and not reading / replying my messages. There are no agreements entered when i occupied the house. But i transferred the rent through neft. Rs.5000/- for cleaning is very high for me as i am an ordinary middle class person. I dont know how to go about it. Need somebody's help.

Need a quick help. I am staying in a rented house in bangalore btm 2nd stage. My mother came 2 months back and stayed with me for 18 days. The owner has charged me 3000 rs as water bill for the guest. I know this is too much. I do not think that he can ask for this much amount. But i have no idea about these things. Can anybody suggest something. I am ready to take action as well.

We recently moved to bangalore from chennai 20 days ago and we spent more money in relocating to this city. We were promised to be given a parking for our car but the owner is asking extra 1000 rupees after 20 days of possession in this house. He is demanding extra money and he didn’t mention anything about it in rental agreement. We also gave him the advance and signed the rental agreement too. Now he is playing his stupid tricks to earn more money in the name of extra charge for parking. He is blackmailing us to pay money or vacate the house immediately. We couldn’t vacate the house since we put all our money in relocating to this city and paid advance too

Hi, my owner has not refunded my deposit as per agreement.
Deposit was 100000/- as per agreement he has to debit 15 days of rent as painting and cleaning charges but he deducted one month rent 21, 000/-
And at the time of vacating he told he will return in a week but its one and half month now he is not ready to return and he is telling that, he has expanded 17000 for cleaning so he will not refund.

Bangalore JP Nagar 5th Phase.
Me and my husband staying in rental house with a rent amount 13, 000/- and 75, 000/- security deposit which is clearly mentioned in rental agreement.
We stayed here for 5 months and serving 3 months notice period due to moving to another city which was not aware before. Moving to another city is not just the reason for vacating the house, Reasons are mentioned below.
1. The owner is refusing to give his account details for depositing the rent amount, we are forced to give it in cash.
2. The owner refused to give PAN card details as per income tax rules.
3. Owners wife is harassing us by commenting while going to office, commenting on my friends while visiting the house.
4. When we taken the house it was in pathetic condition and they where not ready to clean it and we complained this to the broker and he arranged cleaning lady to clean it. She cleaned it for 500/-
5. The entire stair case and balconies where not cleaned since months before we came and the owners wife is forcing to keep a maid which we were ready for, and the maid is charging 2500/- as per her advice, every where else maids are charging 1500/- for cleaning.
6. Water charges for 2 o[censored]s is 800 rs and the entire charge is divided equally. The owners family have more than 5-6 members and frequent visitors.
7. Most of the time water was not available, even after truing on the water motor, water doesn't comes after long hours. Water supply is stopped from some where else.
8. Electricity bill when we dint had a single electronics was 1000/- after complaining to the owner it came down to 200/-.
9. The house location is quite inside and feels unsafe after 6 pm. No proper street light and my office some time extents till 9pm.
10. After approaching the owner about relocating to another city. The harassment even increased by saying will not return a single rupee of deposit.
11. Every day evening we are discussing to the owner for our situation which is not getting consider rather they are demanding more.
Demands
1. Replace another tenant, then will not deduct 13., 000/- brokerage from the deposit.
2. Only family is accepted - As the house is in 2nd floor no family is ready to take the house and the owner is well aware about the fact and he rented 3rs floor to bachelors.
3. Now the rent is 13, 000/-, coming tenant should pay 13, 500/-.
4. In agreement it is mentioned that 3 months notice period need to be served for breaking 1 year agreement.
We served 3 months notice period, Now owner is demanding another 3 months notice period because he dint want to accept the previous 3 months notice period.
5. The mosaic floor where not polished and outer side of building was not painted when we came. Now they are demanding money for both of it and deduction a sum of 20, 000/- .

After the decision with owner to vacate the house, we started recording every single conversation with the owner. We really feel unsafe to stay at the house and feel some one visits the house without our presence. The owner must have another key which can open our house and we are really worried about this.
We really need help.

I am tenent in orai in someone's house. As i have a small baby so. I can't give the time to my owner lady so. She started bulling. She didn't give me water for my daily routine. My husband is working in bank so we can only find another place to live in sundays. As i not living in big city so finding a place to live is very difficult for us. For us survival in this condition is very tough. As we started collect the water form ground floor tab but from some day she did such things that we can't take water from ground floor table

I just want to know that is it right to take rent if you are not staying in that rent anymore. We were told that other tenant is coming so can they (Owner) break the lock. Then we agreed at the 1st week itself. But now they are saying that they didn't break the lock cz the new tenants didn't come. And we were not informed about that. We thought they have shifted our things to other room cz we were told like that. 1st they said that the tenants came after 20s of feb but now they are saying that they came at 4th of march and they are taking 1 month full rent from us. I just want to know if it is right or wrong cz we were not aware of that. We don't want to make any fuse. They are refusing us.

I have been suffering a lot as my owner not giving rent receipts and now increased rent to 20% which is not fair.. I took a flat for rent in 65, pudhunagar, cinna kalapet, puducherry, 605014.
I am facing lot of poblems with the owner.
I am staying in first floor and he stay in ground floor. He actually visits our home in the mid nights, roaming around my home looking through windows, not allowing any of my friends and relatives to visit my home.
He will not even give me an receipt after payment of rent. Entire amount he is getting...

I am a girl living in a rental house in rahatani with two other girls.
My owner charge mr. Arvind gaikwad charges a huge amount of money to us for the electricity which is against government rules and like i the bill comes 600 they will charge us 1500.

I was staying in hi-rise colony, hyderabad. While vacating house, he has not given full security deposit, from 40k, he has given 20k and said, i am not in home town and will see the house and then will give rest of the security deposit. Now, when date came when he promise to give money, now telling things are missing from house and harassing me in name of filling fir.in vacating time, he assign one person to take photos and videos of house, then only he has given even 20k. Now instead of giving money, he is threatening me. We were knowing his intentaion, thats why we took videos of the person who was assigned by house owner, who taking photos and videos of house and talking with him and sending it to house owner.
Please suggest me what should i do now.

I am not sure if this is the right place, but i am expecting an answer. I was sharing a room in a flat with a family. Two months before, the house owner told me that the building was about to be demolished and that it was quick notice. I thought that since this is the case, they might have received compensation money. But i came to know recently that they were not paying the rent for 6 months and they were taking rent from me all this time. They were in fact hiding a truth and cheating me. Where can i complain against this and is there any chance for me to succeed?

Hi my name is mrityunjay lahiry i am from chattisgarh and i am now in bangalore for my studies my room owner took 15k cash from me as a deposit and now when i vacated the room she is not giving any money back and saying that for the cleaning and all i have to pay extra 2000 rs can u plz tell me what to do... My name is saibal sengupta. I have taken a rented house at noida sector 62 in millenium apartment (Flat no-413). The name of the house owner is mrs. Enakshi majumdar. This is a 15 years old house and furnished. I started with rs 28000/- pm rent and after renewal it became rs 30000/month.in compare to surrounding rent it is at least 20% more. I stay with my wife & small kid of 18 months.
The house owner never spent a single penny after the house and not serviced chimney, ac & other electrical appliances. As soon as we entered he started telling us to service all these with our money. One ac is very old of 20 years and never able to cool the room. He never admitted that the ac is bad and also given a tv (Akai) of 20 years+ old.

After a lot of persuasion we decided to leave the house and go somewhere. Served notice for 01 month as per agreement. After we shifted the materials and cleaned the house we called her & her husband to return my deposit. At this moment the disputes arrived. She started to demand the cost of ac, tv & servicing of chimney (This is done by us just before 2 months). She is also asking rs 1500/- just to clean the houe though it has cleaned by us for 3 times. Due to normal f w & t there are few things like handle of door, bathroom lock, kitchen shelf kabja etc gone bad. We still replace those with new and spend at least rs 3000/- on materials, plumber & carpenter but the have not satisfied and deducting rs 8000- rs 10000 from my deposit. They are showing dust accumulation over tv & cabinet, etc and all flimsy causes just to extract money. I had left house on 27/6/2017 and still the deposit not given back. I had 3 meeting with them and every time they come out with new demands. A lot of harassment and mental peace we are loosing. They have also locked the house so that we can not have any access to it.

Please advise how can we take it up with appropriate authority/consumer court and get my deposit back in toto.

My name is Prabhu, working in times of India. I stayed in bangalore. My house owner name is Shankar. He is having five houses. I gave him 4 lac rupees through bank account for lease and till now he had given me only 1.6 lac back. He don't give proper bill to NY of tenant and he don't pay tax at all. He is also saying 10000 he will take for painting charge. I informed him about four month before and vacated the house three. Also he gave the house for rent to new tenant also. We started to stay in mr anjan majumdar's flat since november 2015. As we are about to leave this month he is asking for extra rent but we have already given him the advance rent in the start while entering his premises. Since past 1.5yrs we are living as tenant. The house is too old & house owner not at all doing any repairs. For changing septic tank old pipes;she want us to share the amount with her;she is threatening us;if we can't share the amount with her she will make us to vocate the house. I haven't stayed atleat 2 year also, he is deducting white paint for 8000, and somany deductions. But he didn't give house with white paint. Due to vardha cyclone outside window door (Kitiki thalupu) gone and outside wall damaged due to that some lizrds came, adjecent house not good. I have given complaints he didn't work on it.. I asked i'm vacating, suddenly he increased rent for these three months also if you didn't give extra amount i will deduct on deposit amount. Owner not at all accepting if ask he will tell so many things. I have photos of house. He is not repairing anything. Whatever problem willcome he will tell get amount with all tenents and do it.

I stay in BTM layout in Bangalore and pay a rent of 10, 000 per month to my house owner.

He says, he accepts only cash.

He does not want to give bank account details so that I can transfer the rent to him directly to his bank account.

He doesn't even want to give PAN number details so that I can claim the HRA benefit from my employer.

He doesn't even want to give a rent receipt.

Please let me know what I can do about it.
