I have stayed in Airoli Sector 3 (Flat No :H69 3rd Floor).We have deposited Rs 50k but we got only Rs 33k .Still 17k is still with the House Owner.They are just extending thier date for refunding with no positive response.

Please help us in getting the rest amount of Deposit.

Hi, Myself Mr. Javeed sheriff imy a tenant. Residing in Arumbakkam. Door No. 35/10/1. S.V. Perumal kovil garden street, Arumbakkam chennai 106. Here I would like to inform you, that my house owner has a habit of stealing mobile phones and expensive gadgets in our absence around 6.30pm on 20/08/16 saturday. When I had a doubt while I'm speaking to house owner about the theft, I said I'am going to lodge the complaint at police, suddenly he started stamring and on his face the fear that he caught red hand and it's showed very clearly with proof. The house owner has the duplicate key with him all time of the both portions and his habit to steal mobiles phones and tabs in their absences. When I took this to her wife notice, she to involved in this and she saying very boldly that is my husband habit and forcing us to vacated immediately.. she abused my wife too.. she said not go police and give any sort complaint, she said if it happens this. she will torture us and create problems. Please I request not to suggest this house to anyone and it's not safe of staying at this place anymore.

Note: Previous tenant also has lodged the compliant at police regarding theft by house owner.

After Demonetization, House owner are forcing people to pay rent as cash. We can not fight with them, as they are powerful and could harm so need your help to sort out this asap.

House owner is not receiving rent by online, rather forcing to pay only cash.
Please let me know how to take action against him?

Directly telling how i will show income if will take online. Forcing to go bank and withdraw money since ATM is dry now a days.

House owner cheating — Regarding return of deposit

I am writing from Bangalore. Last December (2007), I have given advance( in thousands!!) to a house owner in BTM layout, Bangalore. But due to personal reasons, I couldn't join for rent in that house. Here is the sequence of incidents.. Say today I have seen that house, and paid him the advance money, and was supposed to join in the house tomorrow. But today night itself I call the house owner and tell him that I couldn’t join due to personal reasons. After that, when I ask the house owner for the money I paid to him as advance, he paid partial amount after 3 months.. and when called and asked further for the remaining money, he responds in a rude way, threatening of not giving the balance money. Its been 5 months, and still am struggling to get my money back, wasting
My time, wasting more money calling him, mental disturbance when he replies in a rude way..
Can you please help, as I don’t have any documents or written proof stating the above case. Your help is very much appreciated as this is the case of many people back here in Bangalore!!.

House Owner's — Owner's Harassment

I getting lot of harassment from my owners. Shouting and showing they ownership for small issues. Finally i given a one month notice. In between they got a client. They said to vacate me within 3 days. I am ready to leave that hell of house. But that client did not came. Owners said we dont have money to give my deposit back. And also said, half of amount will give and another half amount will give after 15 days. I did not agreed. Even they are not ready to give post dated check of 15 days and also not a given one written letter. Then i went with my agents(Brokers). After lot of shoutings, they finally agreed to give full deposit after 15 days. I am paying my rent both sides(i took another plot). They were showing the plot more than 50 pairs of peoples. No one taken that plot. After 15 days they were saying you did not say anything to my father. He is only authorized person. His father saying we dont have any relationship with my sons. Now a days house owners becomes wicked day by day.Plans how to increase rental as quickly as possible.If you doesn't support them with there plans, you have to leave that room.Because Other person is waiting for that room.
That's why people are going to neutral that perticular matter.Hope a thinking as well as a good person will see these matters and find a good solution to learn a good lesson for these type of wicked house owner .

EB-House owner charging — EB-House owner charging heavily

We are tenants of about 10 families are staying #68/40 bharathipuram main street, shenoy nagar, ch-30. Our house owner Mr.Venkatesan was charged Rs.4 per unit for the past 5 yrs, but suddently, he asked us from aug'10 onwards Rs.6 per unit. We feel its too heavily chargable. We had discussed about this charge to him. He harshly reply that the government is charged highly that's why I charged this amount. If you feel its the charge is high, you can immediately vacate the house. We are all middle family, we don't know where to complain and moreover we are not in position to bare the huge amount. So. Please The Tamilnadu government do something regarding series issue. We awaiting the reply from the government or any well wisher.

Recently I after seeing an advertisement in a property site, I contacted a person( owner of flat in pune, owner lives in mumbai) for rent. I have agreed to pay deposity of 50K and monthly rent of 11K per month. I have payed 10K as advanced and insisted that the agreement to be done before I occupy the house. Despite that he did not sign on the agreement nor return my advance. He wanted me to occupy the house by just giving him the deposit money of 50K. I am repeateldy calling the person on phone but he is not responding to that. What should I do .. How do I get my money back.

My House Owner asking Rs:4.50 per Unit, I don't know they are provided whether correct meter or not, but per month nearly 400 units its showing,, but in day time no one will be at home, then how it possible,,? If i ask to owner they will shout at me,,, Per month they asking double charge means per year they ll have too much money,,
Eg: normal charge Rs:2
But they asking 4.50,
So (extra)2.50*300(unit)=750/month *12month=9000
So they earn corruption 9000 per month extra,,,

All house owner need to pay some amount for unit some particular year only,
but per year nearly 9000 is too cost,,,
Who will ask this,,,?

My house owner is collecting Rs.5 per unit and he is getting 1500 to 2000 Rs for alternate months. We are really upset with this house owner. Our address is Old No. 48, New No 105, Ramalinga Easwarar Koil Street, Teynampet, Chennai - 18. Pls anybody inform us if we can raise a complaint on him.

My House Owner asking Rs: 8 per Unit, I don't know they are provided whether correct meter or not, but per month nearly 100 units its showing, ,

So (extra)8*100(unit)=800/month *12month=72000
So they earn corruption 7200 per month extra, ,
Water, Charge -Rs.250
Cleaning Charges - Rs.250
Drainage Cleaning - 3000/Year
They providing Solty water only..

Recently I vaccated my flat ( 4094, 10th block, janapriya heavens, allalsandra, Yelahanka 560065) of Ganapravve Subbarao(house owner) with a One month's notice. As per agreement I need to give 2 month's notice. I have 30k as deposit, so legally and logically the house owner should return me 25k, deducting one month's rent. But house owner is making unreasonable calculations and deducting the whole deposit, upon that asking me to pay her 6k more.


Problem is, the owner is not sharing his phone number, and deals only over mail, never comes in person to meet also.

I am attaching my agreement copy.
I have all the conversations in mail.


I need help to get my deposit back.

Please help in this regard.

UNAUTHORISED CONSTRUCTION
Dear Sir,
This is to bring to your notice that we are student living in lado sarai .we are facing problem due to illegal construction going at f-27, lado sarai, , New Delhi -30. We are regularly being disturbed with a huge lot of noise and dust through an illegal construction. The owner of the house on being stop argued with us and asked to leave the room. Due to this reason, he creating a lot of problems for us, he is using abusive language and our life is in dangeor
Since past four month or so, construction is going on till 4th floor which is completely unauthorised and dangerous.
which is getting massive structural changes, cantilever projections, extensions of the rooms done, contrary to the building by the laws of MCD, causing serious danger to the life and limb of the residents, this building is fully illegal .this construction is going on without the mcd permission .

I request you to take neccessary action against this flat owner who has made the life misrable for the 1st floor as well as ground floor students.

Please do not misunderstand my comments, but this will happen when you try to log a police complaint.

Do you have any proof that you have given Rs10, 000 to the house owner, if you log a complaint he will simply say to police that "he dosent know who are you" as you do not have any proof. The best thing which you can do is to talk politely and try to get the money back from this, after all its your money.

HOUSE OWNER ILLTREATED US FOR ASKING WATER SUPPLY

My name is RAVINDRAN and Iam residing in CHROMEPET.These r the issues Iam facing from APRIL 25TH and I came as a tenant
on SEPTEMBER 8TH.

1)There was severe water scarcity and the motor the owner was having does not have the capacity to give water and there was no ground water resource.When I asked about this they responded irresponsibly and had a fight with us.

2)I pay a rent of RS.12, 500 and it was paid promptly on every month of 4th
3)My wife went to the house owner lady regarding water problem and she was illtreated and asked to get out and she shut the door

4)This caused me too much mental stress and I went to the street borepump to get water and I was tortured and after filling I have to
go to the office as my wife cant do it.

5)Finally after all these things happened they agreed to buy lorry water but it was supplied only in one tap and when asked about this
once again they told irresponsibly they cant provide in all the taps in the house and it will come only in one tap.
6)In the morning they will switch on the motor for 20 to 25 min and they told that we have to store water for one full day.

7)Once again we had heavy argument and the house owner lady spoke irresponsibly and told switch on in the evening for five min.

8)According to the agreement it was written that water supply will be provided for 24 hrs but we r facing this torture for the past
two months.

9)Water supply was not provided properly and no rental receipt was given to us

10)I paid advance 0f 60, 000 before one month we arrived in belief but they did not do vice versa.

11, As Iam planning to vacate becuase of this torture and illtreatment within few days.

My kind request to ur team is please keep it confidential and please visit surprisingly to all the house owners in CHROMEPET.

My name is Sainath kumar, i am living in Tambaram chennai, my problem is, i shifted to my current premises 10 months ago form an nearby location, due to that house owner wanted the house, he decently settled me my advance even before i vacated due to my financial problems, in this scenario i moved to this place by depositing an amount of R.75, 000 as advance monthly rent of 11, 000 per month, in between what happens was owner passed away before 7 months, immediately after his demises his wife left for foreign country and returned now only, every month i used to put rent on her bank account as the house is in her name everything was fine till a week ago, she suddenly said to me that i shout vacate in 2 month time as she is planning to sell the house, but my concern is it has been only 10 months i moved to this place, and further the other expenses on shifting the house including broker commission was rs.20, 000, so what i told her was i am not saying i will not vacate but keeping in mind that i occupied this place only 10 months ago i insisted that she should give me suffice time to vacate as i have aged parents and have to see suitable place so i asked her give me 5 months time which is extended time i ask for my safety it is not that i will remain for 5 months if i get good place next month also i am ready to move the time i asked is only for my safety, but she is not accepting to me stating that if there is only vacant portion only she could sell the house, she is not concerned about my safety at least humanitarian basis, i have faced lot of problem in this house but i have not complaint to her many time i spent money and rectified all the issue and i am adjusting and living there but now i don't know how to react to her statement any one kindly give me some suggestions

Please do not go to that house as tenants. they will torture you and never return your money.

Hi Am living kodambakkam. vellalar street. In my apartment no parking facility..our apartment member bikes are stayed in road only..our street has only small way go...we complaining this to house owner for the last one year they are not take action for it. We have more problem faced here i listed it below

1. No gate facility

2. we met Draining problem occasionally
The house owner not built the home properly we often met draining problem. In our apartment bathrooms they are put big hole for going the water( for bathing washing etc )
And they built new home in parking place the workers put sand, plastic covers, stones, sticks etc directly into drainage and its get blocked. For that also we have to spend our money to cleaned the house owner not take responsibility to do. we met this max 4 times in on1 year. we really feel about this

3.Parking facility is not available ( before I came to this house they show parking place and get rent 10000/month. after coming they are started to built new home in the parking place and still now not provided parking facility and gate for us..really they are hurting us lot)

My room owner is not returning my advance payment and harassing me for each and every thing

Hi All, I was staying in the Ittina Neela Apartment, Flat No-ET124, E2 Block in electronic city, bangalore for almost two years with my family.
while i took the house for rent the house owner Mr. Mahendrapal Sharma used to very gentle and asked us to do agreement and give advance of Rs. 30, 000. so we agreed.
every time when he comes to house he asked us to make tea and biscuit, some time some other snacks also, we gave him according to his demand and thought he is house owner, so we need to give respect him.
But he is such a loose charterer and cheated person, while we shifted house and asked him to return us the advance amount, he disagreed and try to threaten us that if we ask money return to him he will beat my family members and injured them.
So request you all pls take action against such person and put him behind the bar.

The house owner, which we were stayed was very bad, we gave prior notice (2 months) that we are vacating the house. they said ok and at the time of vacating they were creating many problems. even tough we had repainted the home and did all changes like AC holes furnished and everything. but at the end house owner was telling some false reasons and plan how to reduce the deposit amount that they should return. Finally after so much struggle we got only half of the deposit amount. out of 35000. house owner was very greedy. and worst behaviour. Increasing the house rent for every 6 months to an unfeasible amount. Black money sum off 70, 000 rs is collected in the form of Rent by the 10th of very month at the below location Owner Name : Sravani. D.no 41-18-54, Near SBI ATM, Krishna lanka, Vijayawada-13.

I am currently living in kanminike, near kumbolgou mysore road,
First of all in kanminike all student are living, and for one bhk room with no furnish the house owner is taking 8000 per month and 30k advance returning will be nothing.
The house owner's care taker always comes and shout that why the outside is not clean why light is on always in night etc etc and also abusing in his own kanaada language.
House is near yoga pg, and care taker name is "ravi"
Please come here and inspect, all room rents are illegally charged by students.

I had given a one lakhs rupees as advance to purchase a land measuring 1200 sqft and 750 sqft build up house. Which is located at door number 43a, jawaharayya nagar, guduvanchery. The door number of the house is 43a and the owner name n. Saratha. I paid advance of one lakhs rupees through hdfc neft online transaction from sukumar’s hdfc account [protected] to saratha n central bank account no [protected] and made the sales agreement dated on : 16 feb 2016. Neft transaction number : n[protected] & n[protected] and the remaining amount through hdfc home bank on the day of sale deed.
While i check the legal the boundaries which n.Saratha and r. Jaishankar shown is totally different on document document number 2909/2004 & 3437/2003 on “schedule a”. The r. Jaishankar and his wife n. Saratha is cheating and trying to sell the plot of 43b. I approached them on 25 feb 2016 and asked them to return my money, n. Saratha and jaishankar .R is using not returning my money and using abusing words and threatening me. And i tried to contact them through their mobile phone they not picking my call. Whenever they picked the phone they are telling that they had no money.
Please take this complaint and help me to get back my money. I attached the sale deed copy and the online money transaction copies with this complaint.

The land lady and his husband took security deposit of rs. 12000 and token money of rs. 3000. We gave a notice of 1 month before vacating the house and they said they would return our money but they did not. We kept asking for it but they are not giving it back. They both are not even picking our calls now. We have all the rent related documents with us.

My house owner is acting oblivious to the electricity problem in my house. I stay in the first floor of a Ground plus one independent house in BHEL Enclave, Akbar Road, Bowenpally Secunderabad. I pay a rent of 15800 Rs per month. Out of 3 phases, the wire which goes to the 2-phase got burnt out and was fixed by the owner (as it was supplying poser to his house). The 3phase also started getting messy. Even after repeated complaints the owner did not get it fixed. The electricity board folks never answer my call or even if they do never turn up to fix the issue. This is one of the problems I am currently facing due to the negligence of the owner. He never provides me with his PAN card number to declare the rental amount for Tax exemptions. Always takes the rent in cash and notthrough bank transactions either. Worst thing was, 2 years back my father had passed away in the hospital. The owner did not even allow us to bring back his body to the house. If someone is actually reading this message and has authority to take action, I urge you earnestly to teach this guy a lesson.

I have been living in the same house for more then 5 years. My house owner had been making a rental agreement every year, but this year he is refusing to make an agreement this year though he had increased the rent by more then 8%. If he doesn't make an agreement and doesn't issue a copy of the same then how can I claim my tax benefits on my HRA. Moreover he doesn't get any repairs done. In the last 5 years I would have spent many thousands for repairs for all the repairs. If I would complain that there are many gaps in the balcony door and we are suffering with cool air coming into the bedroom then he would just suggest to sleep in different room. Even though we were staying for so long in the same house the rent we pay is same as our neighbors who came just couple of months back. I am staying here just because it is very close to the office. I am thinking to move but before that I thought of seeking some help. How should I proceed further. Is changing the house is the only option I have?

We are in lease from 2 yrs near manjunathnagar horamavu and have maintained entre water problems n everything . Now an tamilian has come to 1st floor... since my owner is also a tamilian they are showing communism... They have changed the water tank connection for us and not responding for any calls... when my mother says there ia no water . Owner held at her and said I cant do anything.. we have paid max bill amount everytime and still have 1yr lease period but owner is creating issues everyday. Please take some action.

I and my family have been living in Chennai since 2003. In Jan 2010 we have moved to a new house where owner's family is residing in ground floor. Initially the rent was Rs. 2500/-. Now its 3300/- per month. There was no problem till last year. We are not disturbing him for any maintenance. We do ourselves if any problem occurred.

Last year house owner was hospitalized due to some health problem. On that time, his wife requested urgent cash for paying EB bill. I was paid the Electricity bill using my credit card since I am also not having money. After that house owner and his wife request some more cash for medical expenses. So, I allow them to use my credit card. Some few months before House owner shifted his residence to rented house. He was not returned the card. There, he purchased Airconditioner using my card and requested to convert the transaction in to EMI at the last minute. I have converted the same into 9 month EMI.

First month he paid the emi after followups. I said I will adjust the same to the rent. But he refuses that and promised to pay on time. When I called to remind for 2nd EMI, I was shocked because he blocked my and my wife's phone numbers in his mobile. I reached him from my friend's mobile and get the 2nd EMI after several followups.

On that time he informed to my wife to vacate the house. We accepted to vacate in the month of May'14(3 months time).

We came to this house as we liked the free space in the front balcony of our house. We used the balcony for drying washed clothes and time pass to my daughter. One sunday my 8 year old daughter, ground floor girl and their friends played in the balcony when he came there for some work. Next day he create a new door and locked the same. He comes to us with a new story saying that they are planning to construct so they keep the cement bags in the open balcony. But till now it is empty only. Caused to this sunlight and air circulation also blocked to my house. We accepted that too and we are used the upstairs empty space which is on my portion to drying clothes.

Now the house owner vacated his rented house to another portion of his own house which is beside ground floor part of my resident.

Now he is harassing us a lot. When i am in office they torture my wife and daughter harassing by disconnecting power supply on 06/03/14. My wife confirmed with neighbours and I confirmed with Electricity board that there is no issue in the power supply. When my wife asking about the power cut he told rudely 'go who is giving 24 hours power supply' like this.

Every time they harass for silly issues. We used to provide some food to crows daily in the bowl on upstairs. On 16/03/14 he shouted my wife stating that the rice which we put to crows is wounded his foot while he is walking in the upstairs. Eventhough the waste food is not in the path, my wife cleaned the same. He ordered to my wife like servent.

If they were polite to us until we vacate, we will we will be very happy. But they have hurt us with their behavior. Also he always used to be abit rude while speaking to us. Being a tenant doesn’t mean that we can be treated like anything as house owner wants. We understand that they have financial issue. But it is not fair to treat us so recklessly and for their cause they are troubling us now.

So we have asked them to settle the credit card dues immediatly. We adjusted the amount with this Feb'14 month's rent. They accepted half heartedly and started fighting with us. We don't want to stay there. We want to deal this issue legally. We want to complain about their recklessness and impolite behavior towards us. They have also harassed us mentally. We don't know whom should we complain this issue to and also who will help us in this regard.

Please advice.He is not only treated us like this. He treated some other tenants also like this. I want to teach him a lesson so he will not behave like this to next coming tenants.

Pl provide a solution. Also give a solution to get my cash back (Credit card dues: 18k + Advance 20k).

The rainwater harvesting pipe made of cement approximately of 15 metres in height is precariously dangling from the side of my neighbour's building( Address- 2/60, Ganga nagar, maduravoyal, Chennai-600095.) To the forum team, Myself & my husband are from different state. Both o[censored]s working here. We are staying in a 2 BHK house by paying a rent of 12K per month. We paid an advance of 70K. We requested to owner to provide an agreement for 2 yrs, but he said agreement is name sake you can stay here how long u wish. After a period of 9 months, I went to my native for my delivery and hubby due to health issues he worked from different location. However we paid the rent for the house, as would come back after 7 to 8 months. after 7 months we left, the owner suddenly called us & said he wanted 16K from that month on. Also he said as per agreement, we have to pay 5% increase after our 11th month which we accept. But this sudden hike was not acceptable. Then we negotiated with him for time to vacate. He refused it. He was so arrogant that he wanted us to pay 16K from that on. Then we really begged at him to get extenstion for 3 more months. After we returned to Bangalore, we were shocked to see that the owner has modified the kitchen windows by entereing our house without our knowledge or taking permission. We lost trust with him. Then, we said, pls detect the rent & 1 month rent for painting & repair from advance, which he agreed. Now he creates so much problem that he wants more money. And due to medical emergency we are going to our native and both o[censored]s will not be there till 10 days b4 we vacate. Again, the owner wants the key to show the house to others when we are not there, We refused this and told him that we can allow others only when we are there in home. But he started shouting telling that He has rights to enter his house at any point of time irrespective of who is there & who is not there also, for telling that we cant allow other ppl when we are not there in home, he is telling us that he will be going to police. Some one help me how I have to react to this. We are vacating the house next month end anyways.

Hi, On 28th Sept 2013 around 1:00 PM, I have paid token advance of 10K in Vijinapura, Bengalore for renting house. By evening(6:30PM same day) I have visited with my family to that same house, But due to personal reason I said to the owner we are not ready to move into that house. Only Gap of 6 hours, we have informed to the owner. Now they are saying they will not return the given advance. I am planning to complaint the Police. Recently I vaccated my flat ( 4094, 10th block, janapriya heavens, allalsandra, Yelahanka 560065) of Ganapravve Subbarao(house owner) with a One month's notice. As per agreement I need to give 2 month's notice. I have 30k as deposit, so legally and logically the house owner should return me 25k, deducting one month's rent. But house owner is making unreasonable calculations and deducting the whole deposit, upon that asking me to pay her 6k more.


Problem is, the owner is not sharing his phone number, and deals only over mail, never comes in person to meet also.

This is to bring to your notice that we are students and resident of F-411,ground floor as well as first floor ,lado sarai,pin-110030 ,New Delhi . We are regularly being disturbed with a huge lot of noise and dust through an illegal construction Just above our rooms. The owner (Mr. Harinder,mob:[protected]) of the house on being stop argued with us and asked to leave the room. Due to this reason, he creating a lot of problems like stop the water supply regularly and misbehaves us etc.This is the our examination period so how can we adjust these problems?
Since past one month or so, construction is going on till 4th floor which is completely unauthorised and dangerous.
Mr.Harinder is getting massive structural changes , cantilever projections, extensions of the rooms done, contrary to the building by the laws of MCD, causing serious danger to the life and limb of the residents , especially student who lives just below newly constructed floors.
You may recall that earlier a building in East Delhi collapsed because o[censored]nsafe structure. Enquiry into the matter will not restore the lives of those dead.
I request you to take neccessary action against this flat owner who has made the life misrable for the 1st floor as well as ground floor students.

My name is Ayyappan M,,,, I am staying in Tambaram, and one of my friend (Don't want to share his name) who is staying @ New # 36, Old # 42/2, Bakthavachalam Colony 1st Street, Vadapalini, Chennai - 600 026; He and their family are staying there for Lease, in independant house. I am raising this complaint against his House Owner who is staying upstairs in that same house. Please find below the issues which my friend & my family are facing.

1. There was no sufficient water supply for them, even though there are collecting Maintainance Charges for the 2 Electric Motors was there.

2. If there was a rain then water will fall down from the roof wall. After repeated request from the tenant also, & after shown the damaged roof more than 4 times to the owner, there was no action taken from the owner side.

3. For the lease amount which they collected (In Lakhs) was not a reasonable amount for the House which my friend is staying, I went and seen his house the worth lease amount is 2 to 2.5 Lakhs, however the amount collected is 5.5 Lakhs,,,, and there was no Receipt with the revenue stamp for the amount received, was provided to the Tenant by the House Owner.

4. The owner collecting electricity (EB) charges from the tenants,,, Approximately collecting more than > 1000 Rs. once in 2 months and the owner is not at all providing any valid signed receipts for that collected amount. Moreover there is no Air Conditioner in my friends home. So, i have a doubt here, whether the owner is cheating on the charges (or) not paying the collected amount to the TNEB government . Because, no electricity card available/shown to the tenants,,,,, also whenever if they require for any proof purpose owner is NOT AT ALL giving the copy of the EB card also.

4. No adequate parking space to park the vehicle - Moreover because of this reason only, my friend is not buying a new bike eventhough he is having his saved money for purchasing bike.

5. There was no receipt provided, no tax paid to the government. I am sure the amount which they collected is treated as a black money,,, and for sure no income tax was paid to the government.

This is what the concern is,,,, My friend told me this very sad & bad. The reason why i am drafting this complaint, and also not sharing my friends name is because, he told me this alone very sadly, also he told that his parents will shout if he went and given any complaint like this. But, i wont be able to tolerate my friend's sad or tollerance,,, We have to punish these type of people, and thats why i am just raising this complaint, for the benefit of my friend (He will be Happy),,, as well as for the benefit of Our Government (Tax & Charges Can Be Collected From The Owner).

Sir ,I am living in a rental home in Dera Bassi district SAS Nagar , Punjab .When I took this house on rent the water motor installed in the house was with my electricity connection . My water consumption is very low than my house owner who are also using the water from the same connection having the same water motor and they pay only 10 unit per two month to me as the electricity consumption. But after six month I realised that the Bill of the electrticity is coming very high as compared to my water requirements .I Request my house owner to change the electricity connection to their own meter he accepted my request and I changed this connection to thier meter by hiring electrictian . After two day of this the wife of the owner start to quarel with my wife for the water and is not giving the sufficient water quantity to us . And today 14/12/2010 she againg quarel with my wife when I am on my duty of evening shift as I am a operational staff employee.She order her to leave their house by saying that we could not provide you the water .Sir as they pay me the 10units per two months I also told them that I will pay the same to you as thery were paying to us. But she donot agreed with this and asking me to leave the house on coming 01/01/2011 . Sir I am helpless to leave the house in such a short notice because I have male child whose exam are coming near If I shift to another site It will be creat problem .Sir, Is any rule to survive me from this problem.

I need your advice and help on this. Me and my family has been harassed and cheated by house owner by not returning advance amount and illegal construction in same house on the top of the floor where we were staying. My owner started the construction in house (4th Aug, 2012), demolished the top floor and constructing the new rooms, I have heard that as per govt rule, when tenants are staying in house owner cannot go for construction without agreeing with us or tenants have to vacate and then he can go for construction . In our case, when we recognized that he is going for construction (around one week before), I requested owner to provide the transparency and tell us in advance if there will be any problem like sound, drill machine noise, water interruption, dust and falling of broken walls/bricks. He just denied that there will be no single issue. We also told that we are working in night shift sometimes and sleep during day time.

When construction started, it was very painful for us to bear the sound (he was using drill machine on floor and walls to break it using less labor). We were not able to sleep, sound was so harsh. One day when I reached him and said that we are suffering a lot and you could have told us that this will happen, he was just laughing at us and said construction will happen weather you stay or leave. It was very serious attack on our sentiments. In our busy schedule we managed to search a new house and informed him but he said he will not refund the advance even though construction is happening but you have to stay for next month also, and threatened when we asked to return the advance.

Owner did not return the advance money for one month and harassed during construction, I have receipt of rent and advance, and photos of construction during my stay in his house. Proofs can be shared when required.
Please take a serious action against him. There are many people who suffers a lot cause of such greedy owners, please help us.

After vacating his house even he is harassing by calling and asking for money, he is saying that we have broken his floor. When we were leaving his house we have shown the room several times and after his satisfaction only we vacated, we have some witness also. During vacating the house, owner said that house is okay and I can leave. Please do the needful and teach him a good lesson.

I am Mahesh, working in an IT Company. I apporoched one house owner for renting a house. She told Rent is Rs.8000 and deposit is Rs.50000. I have paid 21,500 as advance because the house was under construction so she told they will give me house with in three days if I pay 50% of the advance. so i paid 21,500 and agreement also made. After three days i went to the house and came to know it was not ready to occupy so i decided to not come to this house and immediately i informaed house owner's brother. He also accepted and he agreed to return back my money by deducting only agreement charge whic is Rs.300 after some days. I was waiting for him almost 45 days and went to him. Now that house owner and her brother is saying they will deduct 1 month rent and they will retun only Rs.13,000 that is also after 15 days.

I urged with them and they told i[censored] want u can file case also but we will pay only Rs.13,000.

I was really frustrated with thier cheating and you all know earning a single rupees itself very difficult in this world. Please advice me what I need to do? This is to inform you of the indecent and painful atrocities committed by some of the unscrupulous and wicked minded house owners. Sir, I have shifted to a 1 BHK flat in Marathalli, Bangalore around 3 months back. But I am facing a lot o[censored]ndesirable problems in my life because of the indecent behaviour of the land lord. When I came here, I was promised of water supply 24/7 but unfortunately, we are not getting adequate water for even 12 hours, that too in the peak time when people will cook food, wash clothes, take bath, etc.. and of course we know how much trouble will be there if there is no water in the house. The most painful part is that even if there is water in the tank, he will come with his equipments and turn off the valve which will completely stop the flow of water in the house hold. We are really struggling a lot because of this kind of atrocities and he is not prepared to listen even after pleading him a lot. Moreover, because my mother is staying with me now, he is charging Rs. 1000 extra claiming that water consumption is more but in return, he has started to cut off the water supply for even longer hours now. Every day, we are struggling a lot because of this and we are not even able to take bath and do the house-hold activities conveniently. Dear Sir, he is certainly not doing the right thing and I really want justice in this matter so that the common tenant does not suffer miserably due to such unkind behaviour of the land lord.

My parents moved into an apartment on a 3 year lease, the owner had taken a loan on the apartment and failed to repay so there was a foreclosure. My parents had take the lease for Rs.3 Lakhs, After a lot of effort by my parents they received a check from the owner using which a case was filed and it's going on. The owner has failed to come to the court on all the times he was summoned and this has been taking place for more than a year now. The judge issued a arrest warrant and the police from Samrajpettai-Basavangudi police station have taken money from the owner and are not arresting him. They expect money from us also. I want this reported to a higher official whoever actually cares to work for the salary they receive and take some action. I'm not disclosing our address and other details until I get a response for this. I'm not even sure if you can actually do something. Please respond.

I was staying in a rented house with my friends from last 3yrs. When we were vacating the house now he charged us 42,000 as maintenance charges.
We were fine with paint and small damages that happened. But other than that he got other things like sanitary changed, polished which were fine and were as we got initially.

According to the way things work is a max of one month rent is deducted as maintenance charge. When we went and talked to him he was not ready to hear anything.
Also we believe that whatever the estimates he had given us are too high.
Please help us here.

I have rented a house on rent with agreement of 11 month and rent will get revised after 2 years by 15%.

Now suddenly owner is asking for increasing rent by 15%, the reason behind it, initially I was alone but after 2 month shifted with my family i. e. my mother, daughter and wife. As per the owner as room was single and your entire family is staying so rent should go up, but it has not reflected in agreement any where that room was for single occupant.

Also he says that, the electric connection for that single room was not allowed to have Freeze, Heater as he is getting benefit of Solar system subsidy from Karnataka Electric board but he is not providing us solar water heater benefit.

When we are ready to vacate owner asking to paint entire room otherwise deduct the charges from deposit.

Pl. guide me in this matter.

Actually I am staying in a rental house with my family.Now i am in Pune. But my Family members are there.All is ok except current Bill.From the first month current bill shows too high.In my previous rental room(another house owner)current bill shows around 80 units.But here current bill comes around 160-170 units.No extra electric appliance used.Not even me many people are facing this problem now in haldia.We sure that our house Owner cheats us everyday.

i was reading all complaints .. i feel how wicked owners are and also agents .. i too had a bad experience with owner .. they intentionally keep their own outdated old fashioned furniture's in rented flats so that they can deduct money by showing minor damages ... & even electrical appliances liek geezers ..if elertonic item is not in used for a long time and ofcource it is in that rented house for long period defineltly someday it might wotn work.. after all its old one n many tentants must have used it .. but they will deduct if its not working.

my previous owner did the same she kept cheking each and every thing so minutely as if she planned to deduct and not to refund desposit.

Infact we gave one month notice and 15 days we stayed but she took 30days rent plus she deducted electricity bill of rest 15 days when we have already left her house. And the worst part was she came to verify her house on the day but after verifiying she did not refunded my deposit on same day..took keys from us.. infact giving me lame and stupid reasons that we cannot transfer through online .. & blaming us that you ppl were not ready to accept cheque and keep changing with statements. we don't transfer such big amount .. i was shocked to know that in today's time when bank itself has made it easier by online system .. to save time and still some people ..

these are all tricks by owners
finally i receive my deposit but after deductions . making us wait till a month i receive .

Guys whoever is trying to search for Rent house please keep these in mind
two way communication is very important
written matters a lot
dont be hurry in getting into rent flats
dont enter in rent flat if it has already furnitures in it becasue its trick to collect money from you only in end.
Verify your owner details & agents .. Involve agents in all matters for that he is to take brokerage for thats he's duty.
