I was travelling by Indian Airlines flight IC 928 from Mumbai to Hyderabad on 13th Sep 2008. The baggage was checked in at Indian Airlines transfer helpdesk in the international airport since I was coming from Toronto. The baggage tag no is 0007701. However I did not get the baggage on arrival. Extremely poor service quality and apathetic attitude by Indian. There is no contact no given to locate the baggage. I am absolutely disgusted with Indian and vow never to travel again with it.

I would like to bring to your notice a very inhospitable treatment given by the person sitting on a Counter Manager’s desk at 5:00 AM 26th April 2008.
We had taken a passage to go from New Delhi to Trichy to attend a marriage.
There are about 4 flights daily from New Delhi to Chennai and only one flight from Chennai to Trichy (at 10:00 AM).

We decided to take the Early morning first flight from New Delhi Domestic airport to Chennai Kamraj airport.
New Delhi to Chennai (IC 439 6:40 AM – 9:00 AM). And the connecting flight was at 10 AM to Trichy.

We reached the airport sharp at 5:00 AM and got the ticket validated at one of the checkin counters.
The person wrote ‘Standby 190 and 191’ on our ticket. He asked to Check with the Counter Manager at 6:00 AM if there are any seats available.
But instead we approached the Counter Manager at 5:30 and he clearly said that the seats are not available.
Suddenly a lady came in from behind and even she was with the passage. She was from Indian Airlines. The counter manager kept her ticket on his desk and asked her to come a little later. When we asked him again he said that there are no seats available.

Later, half an hour before the flight was to depart we requested him to give us 2 seats as we would miss our Trichy flight. Incase even if we miss the Trichy flight we had done the backup of a train reservation, from Chennai to Trichy at 12:25 PM (Incase of delay).

He again said ‘No’, said that the seats are not available.

Even though we checked in before that other lady we were not given any seats whereas she was given seats 3A and 3C which I believe were Executive class seats.

My wife even requested him to ask the Captain if any Jump seats or Executive seats can be issued. But that person totally ignored.

We could not get the 6:40 flight to Chennai resulting to which we couldn’t catch the train. And so we reached late night to Trichy, just because the Counter Manager did not give us just 2 seats, whereas he gave the Executive seats to an Indian Airlines lady employee.
When I went to the Customer Service center (Cash Counter)at the Airport next to the Main gate and asked a bald guy whether if he can give me Feedback or suggestion form, he started speaking to me in very rude manner.

We both were having passages so why were we not given those seats instead of her, despite of checking in before she even reached the airport.
And is this the kind of training that Indian Airlines gives it’s employees on ‘How to Interact with people’.

Hope to have some positive revert ASAP.

I had travelled back from Bangkok to Mumbai on 4th Dec 2007 by IC694 along with my wife. On back home at Mumbai airport we found 2 of our bags to be broken and certain items to be missing. (You can view the details in the Damaged Baggage Report available with us. approx damage INR 8500)

The compensation offered by on-duty AI Personnel at the Airport was INR 3,000/- which was not acceptable to us. The personnel in turn requested us to submit a DBR which would be forwarded to (Customer Services Cell) department.

Now it has been over 2 months since we have returned back to Mumbai. But, so far we have not heard anything from airlines department. The only polite and courteous answer that we get is “We are looking into the matter Sir. We apologize for the inconvenience caused”

      Ahh... the endless waiting.

India Airlines is know for its poor service. Dude you should have accepted the compensation instead of this endless wait! Something is better than nothing.

I know many people who have been asked to contact between airlines department and going nowhere. They usually spend more than the compensation amount only in follow-ups.

This happens onlyu in I***a :-)
why don't Some take on these official and give them left and right and corner.

India Airlines is worst night mare to passengers journey.

Best thing is to complaint at site dirctly to PM.
Only with the hope that it could improve service.

Put your grevience directly to PM office on following site.

        Mumbai

        Kind Attn:Customer Care
Indian Air Line Head of the Dept.

Sub:Theft of the Mobile Phone from Baggage.

        Sir,

I Rajesh Kumar Moda resident of Bhubaneswar traveled through Air India to Dubai from Mumbai on 6th Jan and returned from Dubai on 10th Janu around 2 A.M. As I had a ticket for Air India IC-169 to Bhubaneswar I had collected the boarding pass from Indian Airlines around 4 A.M. and collected baggage from Air India token bearing no-SEQ-007 & ic 242724/25/26/27 for total weight 41 k.g. Same baggage I had collected from Bhubaneswar Air port & rushed to my house. When I opened one of my bag I was surprised to know that the new mobile phone purchased by me at Dubai Air port is missing .When I verified I found an empty Mobile set packet with other document without phone & charger..The person had teared the box & took of only telephone.

This Act of your Air Line Service & Security to your passengers shows and gives what security that you can give.

To my great surprise at Bhubaneswar Airport when I went for complain is that “this can not be possible as you have the system of security check to your persons involved for baggage & other at air port . So that they can not do any mistake or stole any thing from any baggage” said by your person.

Sir , this is very sad to mention here that one of our biggest Airlines have such a controlling system where a passenger is not at all safe.

Hope you will try to understand my feeling & try to improve your system. & if possible then trace out my mobile phone.

To, The Customer Care, Indian Airlines, Safdarjan Airport, New Delhi.
Sir, Recently ( July 2009)I availed Hoame Twon LTC to Leh from Delhi. However, I could not get a return tick under LTC-80 Scheme from Leh to Delhi due to seasonal rush. The Manager Indian Ailnes (Air India) even issued a certificate to this effect. There is also a NOTE at the bottom of the chart of LTC Fares of Air India:Quote" Due top operational reasons/schedule change some of the city pairs may be delinked or may become non-operational. The LTC-80 fares would cease to apply during that in such cases."unquoe. Since my department declined to reimberse fare paid in excess to the fare mentioned in the LTC-scheme, I may kindly be intimated wether my caase falls under ther category mentioned in the note attached to the fare chart. Thanks, Nawang Tsering, B-214, Nanakpura, South Motibagh, New Delhi-21 ( [protected]), Thanks, Nawang Tsering

        Dear Sir,

This is to inform you that the attitute and company knowledge of your Goa Indian Airline office is very disgracefull.

I send my wife< A Resident Visa with a Electronic Ticket from Dubai, and I told my wife to just make sure whether the ticket is confirm oor not by going to your esteemed organisation.

To my surprise, they told my wife that she has to purchase two way ticket or her seat will not be confirm.

My wife had a resident Visa valid for 3 years, and they were asking her to purchase a two way ticket.

Correct me if I am wrong or please do correct your employees and asdk them to be well verse with the company'spolicies and procedures.

        Thank you.
