Lost Passport File reference and do not know how to proceed
I applied for a passport in jan 2011 in CHD. I lost my file reference number.I do not know the status.
Is it possible to get file reference number with my name and date of birth?.

If this is not possible what is the procedure to re-apply.

Could you please help?

Hi,

I Applied the Passport online in general quota on 14th Nov 2010 and got the appointment on 16th Nov 2010 at 11 AM.
I reached at Regional Office of Passport, Secunderabad at 10AM and found I have to stand in queue on the road with another roughly 300 people who are already standing before me.
I waited upto 12:30 PM and during this time one of the official used to come out escorted by Police Man and singed the initial 30 to 40 Peoples form who are in queue and on whose the signed allowed to go in side the office. It happened for 4 to 5 time. And at 12:30 PM suddenly they closed the gate and announced that they will not accept further application and need to come on next working day. At that time we were maximum 30 to 25 people were left to whom they ignored and did not accept the Application Latter and closed the door.

I do not know what is the closing time and why they did like this. But the followings are the complaint from me.

1. What is the usability of Online Registration if you have to stand in Queue.
2. Even if the appointment has been fixed and you are asking to stand on the queue still why you are not accepting the application latter.
3. How the Govt office can get closed at 12:30 PM for the public in a general day.
4. How can you ignore the people or persons or applicant who in the queue from last 3 to 4 hours by standing on the road in the open sky by tolerating the Sun ray and the pollution and other things only to submit the application form.
5. How many days it usually takes to submit a Application Form to apply for Indian Passport.

I am Aswini Velaga applied for passport on 30th of August 2010 on PSK BANGALORE. My file no BN[protected] and date of birth is 03/11/1979. but till yet police didn't come for verification. For this i have gone nearly 6times to my nearest police station. but in net status i am able to know that my details have been sent to SP office Bangalore. How much time they will to take to send my deatails to my nearest police station (HSR Police station).

I m not knowing what should be my next step please help out. Im requesting you to take an appropriate action as soon as that i am a housewife and facing too much problem to go for this issue.

The Local Police has completed all its formalities and many days have passed. Please help to get the status of my passport completion process and how much more time will it take .

There is one discrepancy in my name printed on my passport (PASSPORT NO:-G0422791). My actual name in all my mark sheets and official documents is as follows:-

First Name – SUSHANT
Middle Name – P
Last Name – NAMDEO

While in the passport the name is spelled as follows:-

Type – P
Surname – NAMDEO
Given Names – SUSHANT

I don’t know what this type – P stands for.
My Name should match with my mark sheets.
Kindly let me know the procedure to correct this discrepancy.

I CHECK ABOVE STATUS OF THE PASSPORTS IN WESITE,I FOUND THE MESSAGE IN SIGHT AS FOLLOWS.

STA TUS-it is regret thatdue to unavoidable circumstrances the dispatch of passport has been delayed and will be despatched ina week's of time.
This same messege i am watching in web site last two months.but so far i could nit recive my kids passports.
so kindly i am requesting you arrenge to take necessary action,so that i can get above passports as soon as possible.

recently i took an old format passport form that too downloaded from its website itself filled exactly everything with blue pen was having all documents also but the stamp official didnt accepted my form n said only online forms r accepted go down near office there r few shops ask them to giv u online filled form,all the way i came askd for that got also same thing filled then only they took my form n each filled form cost me 100rs.i m not worried abt that all i want to say sleeping indian goverment atleast remove the manual form option from ur website and mention it very clearly that u want online filled forms.not only me there were around thousands people who had faces same problem.later we didnt received police inquiry at home for whole two months then inquired at local police station they said we came to ur house 4 times n it was locked i couldnt believed his words in a family of 11 ppl how can we directly lock n go away for 2 months n dont even think of our applied passports inquiry.all lies it was,when i myself went for inquiry at local police station maximum ppl said nobody turned up to them so they too hav come here, i was astonished that after so much rise in terorism how culd indian govt keep its eyes closed and sent pp inquiry only at police station instead of inquiring at house n nearby neighbours.

sir, i got my passport issued on[protected] in which my mothers surname was wrong.i accidentally wrote the wrong surname in the application form.my mother is a government employee and i want to change the surname from karra to rondla.is it possible and how long it may take?please help its an urgent.i would be grateful for your help.thanking u

I received my passport few days before but i found that it had the mistake in my address then i checked it with the photostate of the application form so i found that it was not the mistake by my side.I am calling to the passport office dehradun but there is no response from that side.So, I am in a great trouble that how would it be rectified please help me for this.
