Subject: Sewerage overflow in Sector H, Jankipuram, Lucknow along with House No. 2/884 & 2/885 to 2/16
| Address: Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh |
Jal Sansthan Lucknow & Nagar Nigam, Lucknow
Location: Jankipuram, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India
Location Jankipuram , Sector- H, Sewerage overflow
Subject: Sewerage overflow in Sector H, Jankipuram, Lucknow along with House No. 2/884 & 2/885 to 2/16
Sewer line surrounding the along with House No. 2/884 & 2/885 to 2/16 remains blocked at various points due to which many of the chambers are overflowing with filthy stinking water for a long time and the sewerage flowing on the road is pooled in front of the houses where people forced to live in an epidemic pron situation.
Making Complaint to Maintenance staff of local Jal Sansthan office is also cumbersome as upto 10.30 A.M. concerned staff remains not available, complainants are asked to report the complaint at 9 A.M. when I visited local office at 9 A.M. nobody was available to attend to the complaint for long, In past year also the staff visited only after frequent follow-up and usually flush-out the sewerage in the residential area in stead of cleaning the entire sewer lines thoroughly that too against huge Tips.
At present the road from along with House No. 2/884 & 2/885 to 2/16 is flooded with stinking sewerage and become shelter for germs, worms & Mosquitoes. For the last one month we have been frequently calling JE, AE and EX.En. but all remained in vain. The rainy days have made the condition rather worst.
For the last one month (from 1st of July 2010) the Maintenance staff have even stopped to visit the complain area. The local office shows its inability on a ground that they have not sufficient workforce to solve the problem. They are running sort of fund and as per the JE, he faces difficulty in maintaining a complain register even.
Its really a deep concern for the people who have a belief in civic authorities and pay the taxes as applicable. It should be a bigger concern for the authorities who are entrusted to look after the basic amenities of residents. We have already approached the Executive Engineer, Jal Sanstahn , Sector -B Aliganj, Lucknow who did nothing except an assurance that our problem will be solved.
We don't know whom to reach now. To avoid any epidemic for which Jal-Sansthan will be responsible our expectation are as under:
1. Immediate attention on the chambers overflowing.
2. Complete cleaning of the sewage line cited above.
3. Connecting the line to a proper Disposal line.
We wish this website would help us to route our problem to a competent authority.
