    Leibherr — Fridge not cooling and freezer forming ice

    We brought our fridge from Vijay Sales Pune.
    The very first day after installation their was ice formation . we complaint technician visited and said this is normal.

    Technician visited thrice.but same answer.

    Then suddenly lower cooling stopped . A part is replaced and said that no problem will occur.

    Now after 5 mths the fridge has started showing complaints of forming ice in the freezer compartment and nil cooling in the lower.
    We filed a complaint on June, July and they sent a technician on after several requests. He told us that the drainage was blocked and hence ice was fromed and it needed defreezing. He assured us that the fridge will cool in 7-8 hrs. But even after 24 hrs there is no cooling.

    If a fridge has complaints in 5 mths, then it is very clear that we were cheated by them. We dont want to end up in changing the parts in 5 mths' time.

    Please take an action against Leibherr and help us by replacing with another new fridge.

      I purchased the Liebherr fridge in October 2018 from the Vijay sale. Its double door autofrost fridge (TCR2640-20).

      within 2-3 months defrost was not working and ice is getting stuck in the wall of the fridge.

      After lodging a complaint at customer care, the Next day technician came and take a video and pic of the fridge and left my place after doing a manual defrost by pouring hot water.
      Technicians within a short span of time they changed the PCB board.
      Again after some time, the same problem of excessive cooling in the freezer was faced by us with addition to the rotting smell in the lower, then again complaint is lodged the technician came after checking up he decided to change the cool pack from large to small size and change the fan unit of the freezer.
      After all, this happened the R&D Team of Liebherr visited my place and said if any problem is faced again they will replace the refrigerator Unit. In all these scenarios of facing problems and complaining the warranty period has been over.
      Recently we faced the problem of no cooling and rotting smell in my refrigerator as usual filed a complaint technician visited and done an inspection and told that the cooling tube is blocked and gave the service estimate as the refrigerator unit is out of warranty. we request pls take some serious action against it and pls replace the fridge, we don't want this spoiled piece
      I suggest you all never purchase the Liebherr home fridge.

        It was absolutely shocking to note that (a) for a new Liebherr refrigerator bought in Nov 2020, even before end of 12 months from date of purchase, the lower regular ( non-freezing ) part of the fridge went TOTALLY DEAD and only freezer compartment working and passage from air to pass from freezer to lower part of fridge completely blocked by hard frozen ice; and (b) TIME TO RESPOND TO COMPLAINT made on Liebherr Customer Care Number was ACTUALLY HORRIBLY AS LONG AS ELEVEN DAYS AND NOT 48 Hours as Liebherr tells!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE & VERY DUBIOUS DESIGN OF THE VERY FRAGILE CONTROL SYSYEM. I WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY A LIBGHERR REFRIGERATOR.

          I am Sanjay Bhandare and I have bought Liebherr fridge on 2019 and within 4 to 5 month there was an issue regarding water is not getting evaporated automatically same was highlight to customer care and they replace the fridge. But after one year I am again facing same issue and now technical team is asking that I will have to pay service charge for the same. but I don't now why should I pay service charge for the same issue is it company strategy of income source.

            The fridge i bought - a liebherr dr 2240-20 red refrigerator on 29 oct 2019, and it is the most useless fridge. When I bought it from Vijay sales, no salesman came home for a demo. Nobody informed us that this fridge has to be defrosted every 3 days. And the dirty water collects in a tray behind which has to be unscrewed and cleaned out. The first time we discovered this problem, the freezer door had got completely iced in and the door broke. This is a total waste of money - and the most inconvenient fridge i ever had. I have had Samsung fridges, Siemens, LG, Videocon in the past and not one fridge has given me any such issue.
