DAE kalpakkam beneficiries are retired and settled in chennai in large numbers.whenever they give blood/urine samples in diffrent outlets in Lister Metropolish chennai or by home collection are not getting results either thro mail or whatsapp.whereas the staff @especially Tambaram outlets are insisting senior citizens to come to the collection centre for getting the sample results.WE are furnishing every details with phone number E mail id...

RTPCR Test

The technician came in 22nd Jan 2022 morning at 7:30 am said I will the the RTPCR swob test result in 24 hours. I did not get the report. I got an SMS saying the swob is deposited in the lab at 8:00 pm in the evening.
I wonder what will be there in the swob if its deposited after 12 hours. It only waste of money
I called the lab for the report. They said I will get the report after 48 hours. I asked them why the technician told 24 hours they said the technician is not aware. I called the Metropolis help desk they said I will get the result after 72 hours.
Do they think to have an corono patient in home for 3 days without the confirmation I need this non responsible metropolis should be closed immediately.
I wonder what will be there in the swob if its deposited after 12 hours. It only waste of money

Non receipt of test results even after a week

I am Gajapathy, patient referred by DAE hospital, Kalpakkam, TN. My self and my wife had given our blood samples for T3, T4, TSH (for myself) and sugar including lipid profiles (for both o[censored]s) on 7-1-22, at Perungalathur lister lab -600063. Even after a week, we could not receive the test results. When I enquired at Customercare centers at Numbakkam and west Tambaram, they could not trace neither our sample nor our referral letters. I regret to inform you why such a great network of Lister Metropolis could neither able to track patient’s record of test samples nor deliver test results even after a week. This is in reference to the visit at your metropolis lab located at 2 nd canal cross road, gandhi nagar, Adyar. I had taken my wife for a Truhealth Smart women check costing Rs.5, 000/- on 05/07/2021 at about 10:40 AM .
This is to bring to your notice that the visit turned out to be quite disastrous & shocking to know the lack of knowledge of the technician ( Technician name : Sasi kumar as stated by him ) taking care of the gandhi nagar, adyar branch. Initially we went to the centre and enquired about the above test where he was not able to provide the necessary information and asked for assistance over the phone several times, He then asked to pay an amount of Rs.5010/- before the test.
He then called the patient inside the sample collection room and I also assisted her . He informed us that 5 cassettes of about 50 ml of blood are needed for the above test profile and proceeded by inserting the syringe which led to oozing out of a lot of blood out of the syringe . Having failed to collect the blood he insisted on trying again and inserted the syringe in a point nearby he failed to collect this time too while putting it back inside the cap he also carelessly poked the same syringe in his fingers.
He then suggested again to use a butterfly type syringe in the same place but still he was not able to collect the blood .
Inspite of the patient informing that it was painful he continued to get the sample of blood by then the patient started feeling dizzy and when told he ignored that too.Finally failing to collect the blood sample the patient walked to the reception area and fell unconscious, the technician refused to even give a cup of water when asked however some other patient out there helped by providing their water.
From the above incidents I am terrified & shocked upon the unprofessionalism by so called one of the most reputed healthcare labs in the city.
I have called your customer care several times to complain & inform them of the above incident but failed to receive any reply .They only said they will get back but they never turned up till now.
I have not received any response till now.

Poor service
Fixed up with lab for ecg and blood test for my 84 year old mother at lister west mambalam. They asked to come on empty stomach and when I took my mother on Saturday they said for these tests empty stomach is not required and asked me to come two hours after breakfast for taking blood test and ecg. having come I took the blood test and went again for pp sugar test and ecg after breakfast. They informed me e.c.g is not available and again asked me to come on Monday and I informed them that I have docotor appointment on Monday and they promised to give the report immediately and so I went to the lab and I was made to wait for a long time to get the report and I got delayed for the doctor appointment. I am extremely disappointed the way I was treated at the lab

Worst service and pathetic customer care
My daughter is suferring with fever by today. As per doctor advise will need to take rdt test.
morning called to customer support and requested for home collectiion. but they neglect and asked us to come directly to jayaram nagar kolathur. We reached but no staffs available and insisted us to go to annanagar branch. we reached annanagar branch and they informed some of the test is not available and result will be taking 2 days but customer care informed the result will be get by same day.

Delay in providing test result
Lister Metropolis assured Lab test report will be available by pm 09 Jun. Booked Dr appointment for AM 10 Jun. But report not provided in time and we are compelled to miss Dr appointment and Treatment is also getting delayed. This is second such incident with Lister Metropolis. They also don't have a proper system to provide information on status of test results or to expedite reports. Unprofessional and unreliable lab.

Failure to keep appointment for home visit

I am a regular customer from 2013.When I called for home visit
for blood test they could not even locate my name with my telephone
number and atlast after several enquires then I was located in Metro
polis computer and after I booked the date as 19th April 2021(I called on
15thApril 2021).No visit was made by your lab.Again I called on 19th
April to book home visit for 23rd APril 2021and I was told I will get
confirmation number soon.After 4 hrs still I did not get any response
and you should take care these kind of problems

Covid RT PCR

I had booked Metropolis for COVID RT PCR test yesterday. The person came after three hours of the fixed appointment time, only after repeated calling to him as well as the customer care. I was informed that I would be getting the result within 24 hours. Its been more than a day and a half. I haven’t received the results. When contacted the centre, I was told the sample was collected only today( I had given the sample yesterday afternoon ). My parents have comorbidities and are symptomatic. We have to proceed for further treatment based on the result. Such irresponsible behaviour at times like these? No proper follow up, no proper communication. With all that going on around, we are drained physically and mentally and their irresponsibility and such careless behaviour at crucial times like these are highly unacceptable. What if the delays caused by their carelessness turns fatal to someone?

I am complaining about the staff at the collection center in Seawoods

Hi, my husband had gone for blood test at Seawoods center (west), Navi Mumbai-400706 on 31st March. The attendant named Shweta Khose collected the blood .At the sight of injection his skin is bruised . This is not the first time she has done this, earlier also we faced the same scenario.
Also the staff at this center is unaware about the basic details of various tests and they contradict each other.

Improper testing

Two o[censored]s were vaccinated with Covishield by Lister Metropolis . We gave our blood for testing Anti Sars COV2 Reflex IgG weeks afer vaccination vide VID[protected] and [protected]. We got result Non Reactive ( 0.08)
Suprised we did the test next day in Child Trust Hospital Nungambakkam. Both o[censored]s got values above 9.7.
May be they are not testing and giving just fake reports. It is impossible to have a report of less than 0.1 for two patients vaccinated.
We are looking to escalate this

Lister had taken an appointment for home collection and no one turned up even after waiting for 1 hour. When I called them the answer was you would have booked through the customer care and we don’t know anything. Who is responsible for this? Very unprofessional service they have!

Very Lethargic and Careless in reports generation and details

Am from Velachery, Chennai and engaged Lister Metropolis Home Visit for my mom as she's suffering from RA. The customer care on the previous day assured me that the report will be available by the evening of the same day when the sample is collected, as i had the compulsion to meet the Dr with the reports the next day. Sample collection did go smooth; Thanks to Mr. Rahul, however i was informed late evening that the reports will be available only next day eve, which ruined my appointment with the Dr. It affected the course of medicines and we had to run to fetch medicines and coordinate rescheduling at the last minute.
On the top, i didn't get any mail with the report and its only Rahul who helped generate the report and shared via whatsapp. The report had all wrong information right from the name of the patient. Wonder what does Lister do to ensure Quality of Services and accuracy. If this is the case, am worried if their report can be trusted!
Pathetic to say the least.
I wish there's a good alternative for such home visits where Patients are unable to visit a lab in person.

Not received the report
I am from Chennai and did Serum tests (3 tests) on Monday morning. The same day, I got the report for 2 tests. When I contacted for the 3rd test report, they said it has to come from Mumbai (don't know why?) and so far even after 3rd day, I have not got it nor they said clearly when I will get it.
I am waiting for emergency treatment and this is completely unacceptable. I am thoroughly disappointed with their service and the way they communicate. No transparency.

Home collection not done
I booked a home sample collection on 17 the june online .the executive called me and said samples will be collected on 18 th June at 7 am for fasting sugar and other tests.But on 18th none arrived till 7.45..soagain I called the number [protected]and asked why noone turned up.he said there is no available slot.then why they said sample will be collected by 7. When I asked this question he is telling mistakes are common because they are working from home.this is ridiculousand highly irresponsible nature of the Lister management.

We had gone for various type of blood test.TAs we were told, collected the blood test report locally.
Though I am not professional, when checked the report, I found blood group was missing for which we had paid. I immediately called Metropolis and told them them about missing report. They did email me the required blood group report.
When I went to the specialist who asked me for blood test, found main one was missing, he asked me to go to the Pathology in same building and he would collect that particular blood report from them. I went to lab for that particular blood test and paid
I end up paying twice and lost blood too. When called Metropolis, after lot of arguments, the gentleman prepared to give credit note. However the Metropolis would give only 20% of the total and not full Rs. 875.
When I tried to speak to them to give credit of full Rs 875, they refused and were very unprofessional. Instead of apology, they tried to find my fault.
I would never suggest any one to go to Metropolis.

I had taken a test i nungambakkam branch for my daughter on nov 15th 2018 who had been suffering from incessant fever for a weeks time apart from taking a normal dengue ns1 test and h1ni test. I had taken an additional test for comprehensive fever panel for 4000rs and was advised that reports will be available after 3 days time... Now even after repeated calls now today on 23 nov 2018 iam yet to receive my reports or my money back as results...

This morning i visited the metropolis lab at trustpuram, chennai. I had to give my blood samples for 5-6 tests. First of, the lab is really small, cramped, unorganised and very very unhygienic. Some o[censored]s pick the high rated path labs even after knowing its high costs is because we expect a little of professionalism, good handling, hygiene and good experience. I had none of the above from this particular branch. I paid hefty for few tests and had the lady cough on my face and all over my hands instead. How much of pain does it cost for the lab to provide and for the lady to wear a clinical mask when she knows is infected and will be passing on to the patient. There was just one single lady in the branch who had no clue of some of the tests the doctor had written, she had to make few calls to find out what they were. She was highly infected by flu and clearly passed it on to me with her spits all over me. I had so many posts of how metropolis handles their patients right in front me in the lab, while i had this person behaving extreme opposite to it. To whomever this may concern, please note that we come to your lab because we are sick and are dealing with some kind of ailment, please do not pass on more flu and disease from our experience in your lab. My doctor gave me 3 other choices of lab and i chose yours and i am sure i am never choosing your lab again. I had the worst experience from a high rated, well marketed and 0 star rated clinical lab. I am now worried if my results are going to be accurate enough as your boards in the lab says, because, clearly you don’t follow what you promise to your patients. I am not sure, if this complaint is going to make any difference because you do not promise what you say. Please mail back to [protected]@gmail.com if you require to talk to me. For adking bill they wrote on metropolis letter head total amount of test is rs 8500/ i m offcer in sbi for med remursement proper bill is required. delayed reports for an epidemic disease

Extremely disappointed by their service. After giving me a word of giving my reports within 24 hours which is also quite a long time to process a report for an epidemic disease, they are giving a lame excuse of it being a holiday and people not working today. How can you trust these people with your lives. And if that's the case then how could they promise it and charge you for it already.

i had undergone blood profit test at above said lab at chinmay nagar virugambakkam branch, and they told me that they wud issue the report before 6 pm and also i received in mobile that the reports will be ready by 6 pm.. based on this commitment i got appointment with my doctor around 6.45 pm, , , .. i called the lab number around 5.30 pm they tod me that the reports are verified by doctor, , once it was ready they said they wud sent message...

I am very disappointed with your service. I had booked an home blood sample collection for my dad for 25 July 202, 7:00 AM at Coimbatore. My dad is 67 and as the test required fasting he has been staying without food till 8:50, and no one came for a sample collection. Recieving a confirmation in the app and by email we were waiting and waiting without any information of will the person come or not. Why don't Metropolis act as promised or could give any information of any abortion of the appointments. This is too bad and irritating. Not the first time I am experiencing this from metropolis Lister. Had a good esteem on your firm which you yourself are spoiling.
