M S Ramaiah Memorial Hospital Complaints & Reviews

I went through a pregnancy termination process 15 days ago. I spent nearly 10k where I could have spent less than 3k in other hospitals for the entire procedure. The gynecologist (Dr.Nandini) asked me to get certain tests done which costed me around 5k and she did not even ask me for the report unless I showed it to her, not did she check the report for even 5 seconds. I definitely felt it's mere money laundering. In these financially tough times where we have to struggle even for food, doctors like these try to rob our money just for some commission they get.
I am really frustrated with the entire experience I had to go through.

Also, after paying 5k for the doctor as her fees for the procedure she did not even follow up with me nor was she at the hospital when I went to undergo the procedure. An internee carried out the procedure. Overall a very bitter experience. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone and I will never step into this hospital ever again!

My father was admitted to covid icu and we got all kinds of conflicting information about his status. Finally they said they are discharging him and we can take him home and when we called vehicle they said they are shifting him to another ward ...

I had called the hospital staff because my daughter was stuck at the airport as she didn't have a QR code on her RT- PCR report (test was done at MS Ramaiah New Labs on 22nd April and report was received yesterday).
She had a flight to Dxb and couldn't proceed because of it. Ultimately, she had to miss the flight. We kept calling the lab personnel to help us out but they kept transferring the call to different places and didn't respond to what we were saying at all. It was an international call from dxb time- 10:09AM to 10:55 AM.
I made 11 calls yet not a single person on line had the courtesy to hear me out.
Do check the call history and pls take strong action against these people as it is highly unprofessional behavior from their side.

I’m a regular patient at Ramiah and am happy to say that the clinical services are good.
However, the office staff are wasteful addition there. They’re more interested in themselves and their mobile phones. With the present Covid condition, we’re made to wait in long queues while they say that the ‘system is slow’. This has been the case since one year. Being so developed and an integral health care provider in the IT city, why aren’t they updating it?

I was admitted for delivery 3 months back, labour room was completely dirty, after normal delivery they made 2 n half hrs to complete a stitch and didn't allow me breastfeed my baby, since i was unable to sit n feed, dr. Nandini insisted me to sit even in pain n scared me lot, the worst paediatrician service they only scared me that my milk supply is low and they ll put my baby in icu coz of low milk supply n they made my baby literally cry for 6 days without prescribing any formula feed for baby, i was in tears to see my baby cry for hunger, every mother will be having breastfeeding problems initially but doctors could not help me n my baby they use to just scare me always that they ll take my baby to icu as my baby got low blood sugar becoz of low milk supply, i request all new mothers never go to this hospital and cry literally. No doctors nurses are caring. No proper water supply no hygiene for new moms n they ll not clean baby after birth they just handover with whitewash techniques, please never go to this hospital and suffer.

Yesterday I had gone to general medicine department due to my severe body pain. Doctor was Dr. Medha Y. Rao. I went to hospital at around 12 noon & got the opportunity to show the doctor at 3 PM. Doctor did not prescribe any thing for my body pain & repeated the medicine given by Dr. Kulkarni, given on 06.04.2015, Eltroxin 125 mg, despite of my TSH level at the lower side. This has caused severe desatisfaction to me without getting any benefit, despite of my valuable loss of time for 3 hours.

My mother Smt. K. Ashwathamma was diagnoised as TB in Ramaiah hospital, the doctors administrated medicine for TB ( the pathalogical and clinical lab / Biopsy reports did not state it was TB) knowing well it is not TB the doctors continued medicine for TB.

Finally they discharged my mother without any conclusion, which has put us lot of mental agony and monitory loss ( we paid around 2 lakhs) When the same case was referred at reputed medical hospital in Mangalore, within 24Hrs doctors, concluded it is cancer with 4th stage. If the same was diagonised earlier, it would be in Ist stage, and even we would have gone for chemotherpy. But at the age of 70, she may not be in a position to take the chemotherpy.

This is serious lapse from the doctors at Ramaiah memorial hospital. I am seriously thinking of sueing them in the court, for the mental agony we under went and the treatment provided for TB, which has put my mother, lot of pain and sufferings.
