Subject: Urgent Grievance: Unresolved Gift Card Balance Issue, Unfair Policy, and Poor Customer Service

Dear Grievance Officer,

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction regarding a recent issue I faced while attempting to place an order on your website, which has led to significant financial loss, distress, and frustration due to the conduct of your customer support team.

Incident Summary:
I purchased a Mamaearth gift card worth ₹1265, intending to use it for an order totaling ₹1298. After applying the gift card and attempting to pay the remaining ₹33 via UPI, my order was inexplicably rejected, yet the full amount of ₹1265 was deducted from my gift card balance without any order confirmation or delivery. This appears to be a technical fault on Mamaearth's platform, for which your company is responsible.

Customer Service Experience:
Upon encountering this issue, I promptly contacted customer support for assistance, but the experience was far from satisfactory. I faced:

Excessive Delays: I waited over 20 minutes for a response, during which I was left in uncertainty about my order and funds.

Rude and Unprofessional Conduct: The responses I received were dismissive and lacked any real effort to resolve the issue. This behavior is unacceptable for a company that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction.

Inadequate Resolution: Instead of refunding the deducted amount to my gift card, I was offered a cashback of ₹1265 in my Mamaearth wallet. However, your policy only allows 70% of the wallet balance to be used for future purchases, effectively locking away ₹378 of my money. This restrictive policy is unfair, especially when the issue arose from a fault on your end.

Grievance and Demands:
This incident has caused me considerable stress and financial inconvenience. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of accountability and poor customer care exhibited by your support team. Given that this issue resulted from a fault in your system, it is unacceptable that I am being penalized for your company's error.

I request the following actions be taken immediately:

Immediate Restoration: Restore the full amount of ₹1265 to my Mamaearth gift card balance or refund it to the original payment method.

Policy Review: I urge Mamaearth to review and amend its policy on gift card and wallet usage, particularly the 70% restriction, which is unfair and places undue burden on customers.

Compensation for Mental Harassment: Considering the distress and inconvenience caused, I demand compensation of ₹10, 000 for the mental harassment and time wasted in resolving this matter.

Formal Apology: I expect a written apology from your company, acknowledging the poor customer service and the failure to provide a timely and effective resolution.

Next Steps:
If these demands are not addressed promptly, I will escalate this matter by:

Filing a formal complaint with the Consumer Forum for fraudulent practices, seeking recovery of my funds and compensation for the mental anguish caused.

Taking legal action against Mamaearth for the financial and emotional distress caused by this incident.

I trust that you will take this matter seriously and provide an appropriate resolution swiftly to prevent other customers from enduring a similar experience.

I had purchased Lipstick worth of 1500 and the product was hazelnut brown, grapefruit pink, raspberry scarlet, I had raised a ticket for replacement and return, the ticket id-50040 they had promised to revert back with 3days, it's been 6 days, no response, no return or exchange, this is my first time purchase, a total scammer.

They called and said lucky draw if I have to get gift I need to purchase for 4000 rs and after I made payment . They again asked to pay for 10000 rs to get gift. When I called customer service they said it's a fraud call they didn't ask for payment. They sent a mail through mamaearth name . I lost 4150 rs . Mamaearth is not a proper one don't purchase anything here

They are selling expired product

I had ordered two lip serum from mamaearth on 6rh december but received only one in the package . I tried to contact them twice but no response till now . i want my money back.

I use mamaearth shampoo for my baby... He is 3 month old.. After using this shampoo... Hair fall at some place my baby bald at backside of the head.. And that area is reddish and irritation i stop using this product

On 12th October, I purchased shampoo from mamaearth app. And paid 711.55 Rs. through UPI (paytm)
The amount got deducted from my bank (image attached)
But mamaearth claims that they didn’t receive the amount and cancelled my order.
They asked me to contact bank.
Bank people are sure that the payment was successfully Credited to beneficiary account.
After so many complaints too mamaearth and HDFC bank, I lost hope of any recovery of my money. I don’t know who is mistaken here. But bank people gave me the screenshot of payment successful (image attached)

I am jaswantth, I have placed a mamaearth order of 3 products with order ID [protected]. The order has been shipped by shiprocket, the product had to be delivered on 4th October 2022 but even after 8 days of the promised delivery date, I did not receive my order. The order was a prepaid order and customer service is not properly responding via email.

They just cancelled my order i don't know the reason but it was prepaid i even tried to contact them in every possible way so i m here seeking for refund atleast

I purchased MAMAEARTH baby products like powder, soap, massage oil, shampoo for my baby.. using since last week, baby age is below 20 days. We observed baby is sneezing when we use powder so, stopped using powder, now observed lot of acne on cheeks and hands might be due to soap or massage oil because we are not using any other products..
Requesting MAMAEARTH to look into this issue.. and suggest me at what age we can use these products..

Beware of this website i never faced such kind of issue on other online platform. They will take your money by showing you some discount but will not deliver the product.

I bought Mama Earth Mosquito body rollon from Myntra. After applying it on my one year baby it harmed my baby skin with rashes and allergy. It is very hard to believe company is promoting it as natural product. I strictly suggest not to buy any product if it is tested and safe for babies.

Package was delivered on time. There is no status update whatsoever. Customer care does not respond, have been trying to reach them for past 3 days. When finally i got hold of some customer care executive, she misbehaved and was rude. Even hang up on me while I was still talking to her to help me get some resolution. It has been 3 days since and still not got any feedback

But after some days it automatically showed order delivered but I didn't get my order and even didn't get a single cal from courier service. Hey, i order 5 items aloevera gel, 2 lipstick one lip serum and one lip balm my order was prepaid worth rs 1744 it was delivered in 2 shipemnts one package was supposed to have 3 items gel, lip balm, lip serum and other shipment was supoose to have 2 lipsticks but one opening parcel i found that out of these 5 items i only got 1 item that is aloevera gel rest items are missing from my order i contacted customer care sent various mail but they denied all my claims stating that investigation shows all items were correctly delivered this is fraud i have been cheated they try to scam innocent middle class customers i have my money back they are not ready to help even if they say they correctly delivered the order how come order went missing why will i lie i want justice please help me .

This is jayacharitha, i have got a call from +91 [protected], stating that i have selected as a valuable customer and got a prize of sony led tv, they said i need to pay 5100 to claim, i paid through Google pay to the bank details that they have said . After the payment completed they demanded for another 11999 for GSt, and i refused to pay the amount. They forced me to pay and i refused, they disconnected the call and not accepting my calls. Please solve my problem sir/ madam

I have returned the order to mamaearth on 21st June and till now I have not received the refund. When I am contacting to customer service they are giving unsatisfactory response and delaying the matter. And giving such a stupid excuse that there is a server issue.
It is surprising that a leading brand has a server issue. All the websites are working but at time of giving refund there is a server issue.

Order ID: [protected] is showing as Delivered on 23rd in the site but its not yet deivered. Tried chatting with them and they took my contact details but no one contacted me.

Got call from saying mama earth.and to claim promotional offer asked me to select products worth 5000 rs.and made payment via gpay.
After that they asked me to make payment for GST tax.

Like that they made me to pay 60000 rs in 4 transactions.

I have ordered for for products on dated 8th june, 2022. Today I received one product only (which was worth rs. 299/- only.I have paid 520.6/- for total product) out of four products). Remaining three products has not been delivered yet but my order status showing as delivered which make me concern about my orders. Because last time the same thing had happened with me. Llast time i ordered for face serum but instead i received a night face mask. This time shipment company has delivered only one product but upon checking my delivery status i found all my products has been dilivered which is not not correct.

I have been receiving, delivery update of mamaearth products, which I have never ordered.
