Fraud call
I got a call from [protected] on 03.09.2023 at 10:20 hours. The caller introduced himself and said that he worked for Visa/Master card service provider. He offered me a card with various benefits like 5-30% discount on every transaction, a watch, free health check up and 3 days 2 night tour twice in a year. But to avail these offers I had to pay around Rs9800 and the the offer looked quite lucrative. He told that the card he was offering was not a credit or debit card but a discount card which would get linked to my credit card and amount of Rs9800 would reflect in my credit card statement. I did opted for offer. And yes it is found complaining about it on the internet. I just want to share the above number if it could help in anyway. Another number he called from was [protected]. Also when she asked me which card u have i got it its a scam bcoz if they calling based on my profile of credit card
They shud know which card i have

I got a call from [protected] before few days. The caller introduced himself and said that he worked for visa/master card service provider. He offered me a card with various benefits like 5-30% discount on every transaction, a watch, free health check up and 3 days 2 night tour twice in a year. But to avail these offers i had to pay around rs8750 and the the offer looked quite lucrative. He told me that rs8750 get linked to my credit card and amount of rs8750 would reflect in my credit card statement. I didn't go for the offer because i thought that it could be a scam so today continues this company call me and force me to send courier with address and credit card detail call number is [protected]. And yes it is because i found people complaining about it on the internet. I just want to share the above number if it could help in anyway.

I have also received a similar phone call with discount card offer - from [protected] stating they are calling from Credit Card Services Department, asking to pay the GST for the offers of Rs 8999.00

FAKE CALLS OFFERING DISCOUNT CARDS

Thanks for your information. I was contacted by some with same story and I checked online when the call was going on, as I never heard of a discount card. When i asked him about the exact company name, he redirected me to http://www.bigshoppingbazzar.com/, i am not sure if this is true or not. But i was alerted to his fraud and your post helped me confirm the same. Thank you
Just received call from same. caller named herself Mahi. Instead to ask which category card I was using, he asked which color logo was there for VISA. I understood its a spam. I asked her, her employee id to verify with the company or the delhi police cyber cell, and she disconnected the call.

Same call received by me one week ago from [protected]. Today they called again & blackmailing me that if I don't pay Rs. 8450, They will autodeduct Rs 8450 +1500 from my Credit card. I told them that they can do whatever they want, but I will not Pay..

Got a call today from the below numbers. Called herself Sanjana, then when i started asking her when have i given approval to charge my credit card she gave the phone to Shivani, then an Amit. She called me 50 times when i started to ignore from different numbers.
At one point she started saying "you have blacklisted my number, don't blame me if you get charged on your credit card next month" and i said I'll dispute the charge with my card issuing bank and if necessary i'll drag them to consumer court.

Thank you all for the comments above, I was on the verge of accepting the offer and something clicked to my mind and checked online. You guys helped me to save money and from getting cheated. I got the call from Delhi number i.e. +[protected]. When I asked which service provider are you, he said it can be visa or mastercard and also didn't know which credit card I held. This is a fraud and I am circulating the message to everyone in group.
i got call today .. and if i cut the call they are continuously calling and arguing with me . its definitely not any bank or mastercard company, if it is then when u tell them you dont want to talk, they stop calling. but these ppl are calling from different different numbers.

This is the number I got call with same offer as you all mentioned. I got alerted when they told me my address which is different for my mobile number and bank. The offer was very lucrative and the girl was eating up time. Finally I said no.

I also recived the call dated 10 aug 2020 approximatley around 11:10 AM. the number from which i recived the call is [protected].
In one line ... they are fraud and do not share a single details or confirm any details.
My call details -
Earlier to this call i have already recived 2 fraud call.
The lady introduces herself as Deepali from the service department. ( they did not mention the company name). Then she introduced the offer of discount card and goes on explaining me all the benifits like no joining and yearly fees, 20% upfront discount when shopping on malls and shops but not on petrol pump ( and she quoted that the card should not be used at government points like petrol pump... gottcha, as per her all the pertrol pumps are govt entities) and free health checkup . At this point I enquired to retell the company name and she mentioned that she is from VISA/mastercard and then she started the lesson that all the cards are dispatched from either mastercard or VISA card . she is calling from mumbai bla bla .
Now she need my card type ( mastercard/VISA) and to link the card and started the dramam that she just need the card type thats it to link the card and she already knows my card company name. ( Now before this call i recived 2 more calls in previous weeks where in the first call the caller knows that i have which company card ...)
After i told her that how should i trust her that she is not fraud and there is not as such any card as discount card then started telling we are not fraud.
From all this experience i belive that somehow they have few card details like card numebr, name, card type and then they are trying to get moe details but before that they are trying to gain the trust by explaining and sharing few details from their side then asking the remaining details.
I believe all these caller are coordinated so whatever details we tell they are collecting it and eventually they will have approximatly all the necessary details to make transaction and as soon as they will be able to convience about sharing the CVV & OTP (the old way of fraud) and/or sending the payment request to PhonePe (the new way of fraud) ... then they will make the transaction just while talking to us.

I got call from no [protected]. Said u have offer of discount card with ur credit card. In 8990 u'll get health checkup, holiday package, 30% discount. I understood it's scam.
I too got this call form [protected] on 31-aug-2021, person name Ajit was on on the other side. Almost same offer for 8600, when i said no, he did go mad. I said I have recorded this call and going to make a complain. to which he said he will charge me the amount, and will not send any vouchers.
This is all fake, do not attend such calls.

Got similar call today saying that they are calling from visa/master credit card service provider, told me that I will get services worth 50000/- and I don't have to pay anything all are free services provided by credit card service provider. After that they transfer my call to other department where they asking me to pay 9000/- as service charge and get 50000/- worth free services. And I could not understand anything at all.
Not seeing similar cases here, Now I know I almost got scammed.
