Most corrupt and unethical

I sent my used cloths in parcel to my home and the custom applied 20, 000 Rs on it the materials isnt wasnt even worth that cost. I declared the items when it was being sent via post to the agency here, and this was exactly how much it cost me to send the courier from UK. Utterly disappointed and annoyed and when the guy came to deliver us the box he was expecting some additional money as a reward. So disappointed and ashamed that the system is still so bogus. One more reason why people trust private companies more than govt services.

Hello Sir,
To whom so ever it may concern. I sent a international package from New Jersey on January 2nd 2021 and it was shipped from New York airport on January 5th 2021. I sent through priority express mail.
I have sent the documents to the bank manager in Secunderabad telengana India. But still it’s not been delivered yet. Can someone help me reaching my package to the destination any quicker. My father passed away in July and my mom needs the money from the bank and I have sent the important information.
The postal services in the United States told me that it’s already left the US and held with customs in India. Can someone please kindly look into this and release it as soon as possible it has to reach the bank manager by this week. It’s just paper important documents with bond paper in it.
Can someone please help.

Not refunding my money even after returning back the package

Hi All,
I have order iphone 6s clone on dhgate (PO:[protected] and my hell of experience started there.
1. Seller shipped the item by quoting wrong price (Actual price i paid was USD 171) seller has quoted USD 85 and has shipped the product through DHL without proper documentation to prove it as not a iphone but a clone.
2. Indian customs asked me to pay customs thinking it a iphone 6s and it was valuated at USD 550, we contacted seller many times to give proper documentation, all he replied was "any tax, customer should pay" finally i paid 170$ customs. here the total cost of a clone product went upto 340$.
3. Once i got the product it was found to be defective. it was not detecting the SIM in india. then when i contacted dhgate and seller they asked me to return it via india post quoting it as USD10 and as GIFT on top of the item.
4. Since india post does not ship the electronic items which has battery i had to contact seller again and then dhgate again, seller said me he wants it to be shipped as USD 10 and as gift item and only through india post which is not possible hence i contacted dhgate they said me to ship the product through available courier, once the product is reached china we will refund you amount. hence i shipped it through DTDC courrier by paying around 65$ again. now my total cost of product came to 405$.
5. The returned package has reached china and the seller was asked to pay customs from china customs. but seller has not paid customs there and has asked it to return back to me. In the mean while i have given all the evidence proof to DHgate on how seller is playing around by not accepting the package nor agreeing for refund. if the package gets returned to india we need to again pay 65$ to take back the package.
6. Dhgate customer service keeps saying they have submitted the report after report when even you contact them and then nothing goes for weeks together.
7. Dhgate is neither taking responsibility of replying to my mails sent to them with attachments not they are acting on the refund process.
8. Its seems like dhgate does not care about customer but only seller.
We are going through hell of exprience from Dhgate and the seller called as ibaby888. We are yet to get our refund.
i will suggest each and everyone to stay away from this seller and website for all the bad experience we have gone through and losing 100 of dollars in the process.
If at all Dhgate or anyone needs any evidence on any of the words i have typed here i am ready to produce it. you can reach out to me in that case.

I have purchased Canon Lens through eBay on 29th No-2015. Till date I have not received the item. I asked the eBay for the delay. As per them my item is being held at the Customs Office in Mumbai because the Customs Office wants to request some additional information from the recipient for giving dispatch clearance. The seller is requesting me to contact Custom department for the clearance because they do not know how to get the contact number of the Customs Office in India. Item details are as below.

I have had nothing but problems with a seller on DHgate. First of all I ordered the item, but did not think it went threw. So I ran it again resulting in ordering 2 by mistake. I let them know the first day, but they refused canceling the 2nd order.
That was my first issue. Then I never received the item after 30 days. I let them know, and the seller tried offering to send item again. At that point I was not interested in waiting another mth. I told them I wanted a refund, and now they act like they do not want to give it to me.

Gift from abroad pending with Customs Department

Hello Sir,
On 16th March 2010, my friend sent me a gift package from Philippines via EMS(Receipt No:EE[protected]PH). It reached Mumbai (India) on the 20th of March, 2010 and was received by Mumbai EMS. On the same day, it was sent to the Customs Dept for customs clearance. But since then there has been no news of the same. I have been trying my best to google out every possible contact no and speak to the customs officials. But what I got is numbers and more contact numbers. Every time I call up someone they would give me another person's number and ask me to contact them. Trust me if I continue with it I will probably end up creating an entire Telephone Directory out of it but unfortunately still I couldnt get any news or hope of receiving my gift. I feel ashamed to tell my friend in the Philippines that I havent received it yet. My own countrymen have let me down. I feel helpless and hopeless. I have no other option than leaving it on God and fate. When I reached this forum, I was even more demoralized by what I saw. I am not the only one complaining but there are so many more before me. After reading all this I dont have any hope of receiving it anymore. The best I can tell my friend is not to send anything in future via Post coz it would never reach me. What's the use of this system if people are scared to use it? She is a normal student and cant afford to sent me international couriers spending thousands of money on the same. I feel harassed, frustrated and discouraged to use this Postal System, all because of the glorious reputation of the Mumbai Customs Dept. I wonder when will this tyranny and blatant corruption come to an end?
If someone in authority is reading this, I implore you, beg you to please try and hand over my gift to me.

But, the phone I received is totally different from the one my friend had sent me. The box, CD, Manual, everything belong to the ordered phone. But the handset itself is different. Mumbai Customs Office India Detained Our EMS Gifts Post And Didn't Send Them Still.
Regarding Our Gifts EMS Parcel No. EA[protected]CN Detained By Customs Office Mumbai Department(CED).
We had received received letter on[protected] with subject “Your EMS Parcel Bearing No.CED/BY 16479 /2007 EA[protected]CN Clearance- Req. Dated[protected]” from The Postal Department Speed Post sent by Customs office Mumbai. Which was 1 Month 10 days late from date of our post being submitted for Customs Clearing as per the EMS tracking system Dated[protected].
We even sent fax as they had asked for IEC number and invoice of goods in the post or their details.
But since all the post is gifts no IEC(importer-exporter code) is required in such an manner so we sent the office fax with the original invoice from the company from which we hard ordered gifts explaining that it was gifts for our whole family and friends.
But so far till today 01 November 2007 customs office has not contacted me and also we have not received our big post and it all seems now like they are amending the IEC and government rules and regulations and doing cheating in someways too as according to customs rules they should send me letter of my post being detailed withing 10 days after my post arrived to them but they did cheating by sending post more then 10 days later asking me to submit all documents wthing 15 days and that too on their post was wrong date[protected].
Its clear cheating from the government people we all face in India specially from the Customs Clearing Officers.
I want to thank specially the Asstt. Commissioner Of Customs
Postal Appraising Center APSO, Santacruz-Mumbai India and its officers for spoiling our festivals and giving us trouble.
Kindle someone please tell me what to do or who to contact for clearing our post and also receiving it sooner.

Sorry the complained I enter is On "Mumbai Customs Department" and not on my company "AADreamsDotCom" and by mistake its name came over there.
Hello to everyone again,
Just yesterday my parcel came in the Pune post office and like always I had to go there to receive it and bring it back.
So finally after a very long waiting and hard work all products have arrived
but not in good condition as handling of posts in India is really terrible still.
I would like to thank everyone on this board.
I had to pay to postal department over here 717 rupees I guess its their charges. But their bad handling and late work specially from side of Mumbai Customs Department should change someday for sure and also if posts are late they should cut their fees.
Hmm don't know what to do with this late gifts as most people went on vacations and also order more things for selling in our country for now. I guess I can sell them now because I have IEC number too.

Please note that customs department are extremely busy in
a. (illegally) clearing consignments (that land on isolated beaches) such as RDX, arms, ammunitions, contraband, drugs etc.
b. harrasing consignees for unwanted documents, letters, proofs etc. etc.

I think compaliing aganst Indian Customs or for that matter any government department is like banging our heads against a wall. All the above complainamnts, if had approached an agent in their case, the work would have been done immedately. Because agents appply short cuts and get the job done. The whole system stinks, and the worst part is every body knows this and nobody does anything about it.

Hi i ordered a wedding gown from china, and it was through EMS. When it came here in Bangalore, they are telling me to pay the custom duty of 1400Rs. The parcel itself costs around 5000 Rs. Is that needed to pay here in post office? I buy a camera on ebay site from Europe, Lithuania.Seller shipped my parcel on dated 25/02/2010 by Lithuanian Post Service and give tracking number RN[protected]LT.Still my parcel hasn't received. I don't know what to do and whom to call. If anyone has any information to track the whether the parcel has cleared the custom in India. plz let me know. I will be highly thankful.

I am not being able to trace the packet. Before 10 days the receiver Mrs. Niti kapoor got a call somewhere from delhi or mumbai that your parcel is with us & you will get it in 2-3 days.But still she didn't get it. I contacte in Emirates Post customer care they said (Due to some documentation problem this dispatch is fully held in the customs) Any way there is nothing like that in this parcel that customs persons could create a problem if you have any problem with that parcel then please bring it back on my coast.Please let me know when this will reach to my place. Don't invest in ICICI-Prudential
I took a life link supper from ICICI-Prudential only to repent my decision and incur a huge loss because of my stupid decision. Well when I first approached the insurance agent he only mentioned about the good facts. He hid from me a number of hidden costs. And it turned out that the hidden cost was enormous enough for me to lose more than Rs. 10, 000/- over a period of 5 years.
When i decided to invest on a market based plan the sensex was hovering around 9000 in 2005. So it was a good decision on my part to take a market based policy given that the sensex has doubled now. Despite this I did not make a substantial profit based on equitity because the fund managers at ICICI were stupid. The sensex rose to 20K in jan 2008 before dipping to 14K level as of today. To my surprise this dip in Sensex was immediately visible on my policy. My NAV dipped more than Sensex and my earnings began to diminish. Today after 5 years I check on my policy details and was shocked to see that after investing 25K for 5 years, My policy at the end of 5 years was less than 34K. When i tookl policy that time my units was 2450 and today my unit is 2150. Taking into account the inflation my loss was even more. Enraged I asked for an explanation and then came a shocking reply.
I am pasting the reply below for all to read and know about the hidden charge.

The following charges are applicable for your policy and the same are deducted via cancellation o[censored]nits.
1) Premium Allocation Charges: The fund allocation is done after deduction of Premium Allocation charges from the premium paid.
The Premium Allocation charges are charged as:
a) 20% of the premiums paid for the first year
b) 7.5% of the premiums paid for the second year and
c) 4% of the premiums paid from the third year onwards.
2) Mortality charges: The mortality charges are risk charges that are levied on the life cover part to provide protection benefit to the policy holder. This is an annually renewable charge and is levied in every year of the policy depending upon the age of the individual in that year.
3) Service Charges: The relevant part of service tax law says that “service tax will be levied in respect of service provided to policyholder by a life insurer in relation to the risk cover in life insurance” [Section 65(105)(zx) of Finance Act, 1994, as amended by Finance Act (No 2) 2004].
Thus the service tax law considers the risk premiums as value of service provided by a life insurer to its policyholders.
Service tax is required to be charged at 12.36% (including education cess of 0.24%) on this value of risk premium.
We have deducted Rs.A/- towards mortality charges, Rs.B/- for service charges, and Rs.C/- for premium allocation charges.

i am akash, i was ordered a cam of rs 4800 from aliexpress. they send me the cam but mumbai customs declare the custom duty of rs 2100, how they can do this, i got invoice from the seller, in the invoice they mentioned that it is a gift and cost of the gift is 21$
(Rs 1367), how can i avoid the tax from customs?
