I had a PPF ACCOUNT in Bank of Baroda Mulund, Mumbai branch which was transferred to Bank of Baroda Pal, Surat Branch in around May 2022 after following up on this many times.

I didn't receive the last financial year interest in my PPF account. Ideally it should be received on 31 March 2022. But It didn’t credit my PPF account. I also submitted the complaint to Bank of Baroda Pal, Surat, Gujarat BOB Branch as they ([protected]@bankofbaroda.com email complaint) asked me to reach out to the bank to follow up on this. I raised a complaint with two questions below.
I didn't receive an last year interest on 31 March 2022. When will I get this back?
Can you make sure I will also receive interest on 31 March 2023 with this missing interest amount as it's not created on 31 march?

Can you please consider the request on Priority? Please do needful to credit the Interest to the above account at the earliest.

I had a PPF ACCOUNT in Bank of Baroda Obra Sonebhadra branch which is transferred to Bank of Baroda Dhakwa Pratapgarh Banch on 02/05/2022(Application was given to transfer the account on 05/03/2022 itself)after reminding.The PP[censored]ount in Obra Sonebhadra branch was 2848PPF[protected] and after transfer to Dhakwa Pratapgarh Uttar pardesh Branch PPF Account is 1411PPF[protected].Please do needful to credit the Interest to above accont at the earliest.

It is intimated that I Anupam Mahanti having NO PPF [protected] stated that interest for FY 2020-21 Is calculated very less which need to be recalculated and rectified. It is also submitted that interest for fy 2021-22 calculated correctly.
In view of the above it is requested that interest for FY 2020-21 may be re calculated and corrected pl.

PPF account number 2699, opened in 1998.

I, Cedric D'Souza, had a PPF account with the Vile Parle post office which I had asked for a transfer to the Andheri Post office. After which placed a request with the Andheri Post Office to have it transferred to SBI Andheri West branch.

The transfer for some reasons never happened and the Post Office under pretex of investigating the case, has not been refunding the amount when asked.

The post office claimed that they had issued a cheque (cheque number 848693 dated 08th Nov 2010) to SBI. How ever SBI stated that they never received it.

On checking back with the post office, they agreed that the cheque was not encashed and that they needed time to investigate the case. But they have never followed up on the same despite repeated visits to the post office.

Kindly help.

Dear Sir,

Last 03 month I not receive interest amount of my PPF account number 2953PPF[protected]Bank of Baroda Chandkheda – Ahmedabad Branch) of Financial year 2020-21.

Also bank staff Behavior very rude with the customer and can’t talk properly with customer.

After taking one HRS. sun bath and standing on line we are not getting proper response by BOB bank staff since three months.

I also try to contact bank manager but he has no time to meet and not interested to listen our voice.

My Ppf account:[protected] opened on last year but I could not deposit anything and now when I am trying to deposit it says the transaction is stopped.I also went to sbi jagatpur branch code:003815 but they are paying and not helping anything.this is a serious offence if someone not getting help from bank in this lockdown and asking to visit bank frequently.Please look into this and help me to activate my account.

I deposited my ppf cheque at the Bank of India, breach candy branch, which did not update my ppf passbook, saying that they're not updating the ppf passbooks due to the lockdown.

To be honest, whether lockdown or not, they always do this.
They've asked me to come and collect the counterfoil after 3 days and made a mention, that they will update my ppf passbook only at the end of May 2021..

PPF A/C with Post Office, R.A.Puram, Chennai 600028
I had opened PPF a/c in he name of S.Sankaran H.U.F . After 15 years, it was extended for 5 years from[protected]. I have been depositing since then till 2-7 2000 every year.
In December 2020, they told me to close the account as PPF in HUF name can not be extended. Accordingly, I closed the account. But to my surprise, they reversed the interest credited during from 2016 to-date totalling Rs. 233782 including interest on accumulated balance for the first 15 years.
As the a/c was extended by P.O, I have been depositing the moneys in good faith. For no fault of mine, I am deprived of interest on the moneys held by them.
I, being a retired person, seek remedy for recreding interst, wrongly reversed by P.O.

My ppf account no.[protected] has been matured in april 2019. I have submitted form-h for extension of the same for another 5 years and it was extended up to 2024.

I have been trying to pay contribution from last 8 months and the system is not accepting for contribution. I have approached sbi authorities of my home branch to resolve the issue but they are not taking it seriously, the problem is not yet resolved till date.

My ppf home branch is sbi, i. E. Makarapura, vadodara, gujarat.

Request concern to resolve the issue.

Please see attachment, it clearly says that nri's account deemed to be closed from the day they become nri. I enquired earlier as well over a call but they mentioned that i have to be present here in india. Now, i came to wrap up everything and a/c no. Ppf[protected] is one of those.
Nobody gets anything except the humiliation i am facing jut for few thousand rupees.
Please get that transferred in my saving account.

If it can not be done, please provide me the direct contact details of the most higher authority to get solve this matter.

Ps: i have already submitted the request in sector 44c, canara bank branch.

I (Ankush sharma) have a ppf account in general post office ambala cantt. I submitted request to transfer my ppf account from gpo ambala cantt to sbi indirapuram ghaziabad in may 2018. From last 4 months the status is same. Post office members said they already dispatched the documents to sbi. But sbi indirapuram said it will take time. I am not able to understand how long will it take?. Also please let me know who will give me interest for these 4 months sbi or post office?

I opened my PPF account No. 366900PPF[protected] with name of Suman in Punjab national bank but, I changed my account from the Punjab national bank to State bank of India in the month of 16 Jan 2018.
Now the PPF department has credited only two month of interest whereas it should be given of remaining 10 months as my money was not in use with me it was given PPF department.

I and my mother opened our PPF account in Post office but due to their slow services, we changed our account from the post office to State bank of India in the month of Feb 2018.
Now the PPF department has credited only one month of interest whereas it should be given of remaining 11 months as my money was not in use with me it was given PPF department.

Actually today 06-april-2018 i deposited 50k in ppf account. But i read some of articles in which it tells that it will get good interest if we credit amount in between 1st and 5th of every month. Not sure if i will get interest or not for whole year. So need help to get it understand that will be eligible for good interest or not. Please check and let me know.

Hi i have opened ppf account on april 2017 at sbi bank at the rate of interest 7.8. I deposited 60k in the financial year 2017-18. If i calculate 7.6 rate of interest also whole year 4600 amount should be credited by i have received only 3300 as interest. If i approach sbi they neither cared about it but while opening acc thy will have lot about us. They said me to go and ask government. Don't know who to ask

I opened ppf account in sbbj suratgarh in december 2006.in the year 2015, i transferred my ppf account in sbbj dholpur.
Now sbbj merged in sbi and the branch code is 31064 and ifsc code is sbin0031064. I tried to partial withdrawal from my sbi ppf account no. [protected] but no any bank staff is responding for my request. Please help me.

I had requested transfer of ppf account from icici to hdfc. Icici had goofed up in sending the transfer request to wrong branch. This resulted in delay in opening account in hdfc home branch by 2 months after i traced this courier without any support from icici.

Icici statements shows principal amount as well the interest on 31st march 2017. However they have transferred only the principal amount to hdfc. Icici claims that as the account has been closed on 31st march, they are not liable to pay interest as per the below ppf notification.

On the other hand, hdfc uses this same notification and says that as the account has been opened in may, 2017, they are not liable to pay the interest

“the bank or the head post office transferring the account will add the interest up to the preceding 31st march in the account before the account is transferred. The interest from 1st april onwards will be added by the transferee office after the close of the year. As per rule 8 of the scheme the interest in the account is to be credited only at the end of the each year and not in the middle of the year”

Now the question is where is my interest? Who will pay me? With whom do i follow up?

I had a PPF Account-[protected] with SBI Bank and got it transferred due to service issue transferred to PNB Bank on 31.08.16 by paying the amount of Rs 3500 for 7 years and Rs 350 penalty for the same.
I applied for transfer of PPF account from SBI Account on 14.07.16 but the account was not transferred till 31.08.16. I had to follow up multiple times for transfer of PPF Account to SBI Bank.
SBI did not pass the information of Payment of Rs 3500 to PNB and PNB has again debited my account for 3500 and Rs 350 to savings account.

I am following up with PNB Thane East branch for crediting Rs 3500 and Rs 350 in my savings account.PNB Branch Manager states that it is the fault of SBI and SBI Branch manager states that it is not there fault.

I have been following up with SBI and PNB branch for 6 months and still the amount is not credited in my PNB savings account.

I did complaint about the same on SBI branch Thane East branch on 16.07.16 and followed up about the same on 31.08.16 about the information not passed correctly by SBI officials but nothing has been done.

Dear sir/ Ma'am,
My PPF account has been transferred from Chinsurah H.P.O to SBI ADB Chinsurah (Branch Code 1745). All my PPF account balance has been transferred to SBI which was effective from 01/04/2015 as shown on my SBI PPF passbook. Unfortunately when the PPF interest was credited on 31/03/2016, I noticed it is about Rs. 23, 558/- less than what it should be. The Branch Manager of SBI ADB said that the Post Office would give the residual interest but the Postmaster said that it was Bank's responsibility. Now they both blame each other.
Now please tell me what should I do to get the residual interest & look after the matter.Thanking you in anticipation.

I opened A/C of PPF in SBI Bank, Indira Place, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, having branch code - 574. My PPF A/C no. is [protected]. I received SMS on 20th march 2016 from SBI bank for giving instruction for continuing the a/c or giving maturity instruction because a/c was maturing on 31st March 2016. So I approached my SBI branch and filled up the form on 31st march 2016 giving instruction to close the a/c after maturity. But the staff of SBI closed the A/c prematurely on 31st March 2016 which resulted in loss of my one day interest of Rs. 1750/-. Sir, pl. guide me where the PPF a/c can be allowed to be closed prematurely? Loss of money is not the concern for me. It was the negligence of the staff which is bothering me about the trust with the bank. The staff first accepted the mistake & was ready to pay the money but couldn't.
Later on after couple of few days I approached Branch Manager but he also refused to pay. It was a matter of one day only, instead of closing a/c on 31st march 2016, the staff could have done it on 1st April 2016. Branch manager replied as the application was on 31st march2016 so his staff closed on the same day. Branch manager says for the new a/c holder, he is always ready to close PPF new a/c after 2 years also prematurely which I think against PPF maturity rules.
Pl take up my issue seriously. Rs. 1750/- is small amount and even if my bank doesn't refund me, it doesn't bother me. But they are doing their job against PPF rules.
In this scenario either System shouldn't have allowed to close the a/c of PPF prematurely or staff should have not done this mistake.
My only fault was I filled up the application form to give instruction of closing the a/c on 31st march 2016 after maturity instead of on 1st April 2016. Bank branch manager and grievance cell of SBI says according to new rules of PPF, a/c can be closed any time prematurely.
Kindly settle this issue so that nobody can loose hard earned money in future.
And on this issue pl. clear it whether it is my mistake or bank staff.

I am being harassed by ppf withdrawal and other issues. On 2004, i made a payment of 22000 inr in cheque, the employees did not register it. Later i showed recepit and even bank transaction statement for cheque clearing, still the update did not happen. The employee asked for a bribe of 3000 inr to update. I did not pay and that money is gone.

Now, after 15 years, i have the new ppf book (Which is up to date and kyc done). I do not have the old passbook. When i am going to withdraw, the employees are asking about the old passbook.

If govt does not want to give back our money, please say so; we will do the charity. But do not harass us please.

I am working in The tinplate company of India limited, Golmuri, Jamshedpur works, Jharkhand. I had opening a PPF account through my company on the year 2006 and money is deducted from my salary. I had opened with Rs. 500 and gradually increased up to Rs 2000. I had taken my passbook from Golmuri post office on September 2015. But Pass book is not updated. Post master did not allow for updated the passbook. The same problem is with other people also who working in the same company.

This is with reference to our telephonic conversation dated April 30, 2015, as per PPF scheme rule, the Bank transferring PPF account will add interest up to the preceding 31st March in the account before account is transferred. The interest from 1st April onwards will be added by transferee bank at the end of the financial year. In light of the same in below case SBI Office only will have to accrue the interest in the account. For further clarifications, we request you to co-ordinate with the Post Office.

I transferred my ppf ac - 705138 from garden reach post office to sbi metiabruz branch on 28. 12. 13 with the balance of rs. 151869 with remarks that the interest has been credited upto 31. 03. 13 (Fy 2012 - 13) as the interest for complete fy is paid by the transferee office and broken period interest is paid by the transferring office as per letter issued from head post office on 08. 04. 14 which was also received by sbi metiabruz branch. I received rs. 2730 only as interrest for the period from 28. 12. 13 to 31. 03. 14 but didn't receive the interest from 01. 04. 13 to 27. 12. 13. Since i didn't close my account, i just transferred my account, i think i should get the unpaid interest. Sbi branch manager committed to pay the unpaid amount of interest of broken period at the end of fy 2014 - 15. But it is not given till date.

Last year I moved to Coimbatore and by July 1st 2014, I have requested to transfer my account to SBI Ganapathi Branch (Branch code: 3690). I and my husband Asish Mohan have joint account at SBI (A/c # [protected]), this has been transferred to Manikarayalam Coimbatore branch SBI last year (Branch Code: 12778), my husband also have PPF account, which got transferred to branch 12778 with different account number. My father have check with Ganapathi branch for last 3 to 4 months and still saying that from Andheri branch they have done transfer to Branch Code: 3690 Ganapathi SBI. But still not updated in the system and they are not sure about the new account number. I kindly request you to please look into this matter at the earliest, as today is the last day for year ending. My PPF account at the Calcutta GPO (ac. no. 6015025) from 17.07.1996 was extended after the maturity at 2011 for another 5 years. The account was then transferred to the Santragachi Post Office which is near my residence at Howrah. Accordingly my account number also changed to 8000339. However since this transfer, no interest is being shown in my account, although I have been paying lump sum amounts of Rs. 88000 and Rs. 100000 etc.The Santragachi Post Office postmaster is always telling me to come after 15 or 30 days as it suits him, but to no avail. Last October, he sent my passbook to the Howrah main post office. After more than 3 months have lapsed, he has given me a phone number[protected] and asked me to enquire. I have been telephoning without any satisfactory response. I want to know whose responsibility it is to update my PPF Passbook with the interest showing. WILL IT GO ON LIKE THIS AND i WILL NEITHER GET MY PASSBOOK, NOR MY MONEY WHEN IT FINALLY MATURES IN 2016? Indeed good days are here! Gautam Ray
