I am Nagarajan from Coimbatore and I took my mom for Knee replacement surgery Prashant hospital Chennai.
We had been to hospital only for the Ortho surgeon Dr. Arumugam. The surgery went OK.
Post surgery problem started for mom. She was vomiting's and didn't get sleep though we followed his medicines.
Medicines prescribed from Dr. Arumugam damaged by Mom's intestine and exhausted electrolytes.
She was admitted in the ICU and they could NOT figure out the Intestines' problem properly.
Started the treatment but did NOT diagnose correctly, one after another problem and she was in the hospital 27 days it include 23 days of ICU stay.

Our expectation was to improve my mom's knee pain but the useless surgery made her bed ridden. and We are charged Total cost 16, 28, 793.71.

Surgery cost Rs 530646.00 then ICU charges 1098147.71

To keep it simple this hospital and doctors charged Rs 1628793.71 to make my walking mom to bed ridden. Its so ugly.

What's worst?
1. When I took my mom for knee replacement surgery to the hospital she was walking on her foot, after ICU discharge I took my mom in ambulance as she was bed ridden.
Only her eyes were moving nothing else in her body part was moving.

Medicines prescribed from Dr. Arumugam made my mom to admit in ICU and further ICU treatment
Such a worse treatment by the doctors (Raja Saravanan, Paari, Sambath) and their team. They don't have the detailed expertise in handing emergency candidate.

The doctors have consulting charges, commission in the reports, tests etc. but the only expectation from patient was care and that's what totally missing.

2. When I look at the final billing and previous day billing, I was shocked there was a huge jump.
For sample I checked the billing for One full day(I was with my mom whole day) in the normal ward, there was amount of Rs6500+ was unwantedly added.
I asked the details they were bluffing and they agreed as wrongly added. I shouted at them.
One day normal ward charges If they cheat Rs 6500, think about cheating on the 23 days ICU ward charges and total 27 days of charges.

I am educated I know what treatment happened in the whole day and figure out the cheating, I shouted at them.
What happens if an Ignorant or uneducated go to this hospital. How much they would have cheated by this time?

Why these educated fools (Doctors, Hospital management) cheating the patient's family? This is so cheap and ugly.

I am sure I will take this to next level for our sufferings and to claim the cheating money back.

I write this review as another unknown mother, unknown father, unknown sister, unknown brother should NOT suffer as like my mom.

Please don't take your beloved ones here to suffer.

I had very very bad experience with this hospital. I don’t have any infertility problem. I have incompatibility blood issues. That’s why i went this hospital.

# dr. Geetha haripriya never read our previous medical report and she doesn’t know patients previous history. Before she starts treatment she should read the reports and need to discuss with patients.

# they don’t protect patients privacy. There is a small room they keep about 10 patients inside and each patients show her their reports other patients know what the problem for the each patients. Feeling very very bad. Dr. Haripriya should change this and she needs to protect patients privacy.

# when they take scan they don’t put any cover on the bed to lie down for patients. You will other illnesses easily. The hospital bathrooms are nasty, if you use it you will immediately get infection. There are so many pregnancy women got infected.
Dr. Geetha focus only money.

Doctors, nurses and other employees don’t know how to treat patients. They are very very rude. They treat patients like they provide free treatment.
I have so many things to write but i don’t have time.
If you go this prashanth business department you will see.

This is based on my own experience with prashanth where i lost my mother due to irresposible and stupid emergency care team. They do not know the seriousness of senior patients walking in at 11 pm in the night, they cooly take an ecg and do not care to read the ecg to see if the patient has really suffered an cardiac attack. They ignore all the symptoms told by my mother and suggested "gastric problem" just like illiterates do, and sent her home. Myy mother passed away in 48 hrs due to this. After my mothers death we indeed found out from another cardiologist that ecg taken from prashath had shown abnormal reading which was not considered by the stupid duty doctors at prashanth!!! When we approached them for an explanation they called police and threatened us. Till today we have not received any explanation from them. This is the true picture of prashanth!
