brand new pressure cooker exploded

We got a Prestige deluxe alpha 3l cooker less than a week back. We were using it for the second or third time today when there was a loud explosion in the kitchen. On going in we found rice splattered all over the kitchen and even on the ceiling and in the Hall. The cooker was on its side and had toppled another vessel on the stove and the burner had come off. Thankfully no one was hurt but this has shaken my confidence in pressure cookers and in TTK. I bought this through snapdeal.

Jo biwi se kare pyaar, woh prestige se kaise kare inkaar’, to show my love, i purchased your model 20357 deluxe plus hard anodized junior handi 4.8 litre. When we inaugurated, cooker exploded/heavy steam leak occurred. My wife says, i have purchased it to kill her. (We also have another prestige pressure cooker 3l, which is repaired 3 times, still leaks and kept as a show piece). I also have noted that the piece doesnt have an isi marking. Can you please return the money or give me a piece with isi marking?

Pressure cooker blast at home and all the furniture and cieling of kitchen got damaged.
No response from customer service i called prestige customer service centre but there was not positive response from them.

on 26.11.2014 at the cost of Rs 1700/-

2. Quality - stainless steel
3. Bill no dated -Cash bill / 26.11.14

As per the assurance given by the vendor we have used the cooker as
advised by him
However it is not functioning properly. The safety valve of cooker
notwithstanding the
Standard pressure given by the your good selves. It was brought to the
notice of the shop owner
To repair it and handed over it in working condition even them the
pressure valve is not with standing
(it was occurred 4 times) when I made a complain to replace above
product (cooker)shop owner
Refused to replace it and he offered Rs 100/- as a compensation I did
not accepted that and I brought
The matter to your sales manager and application engineer, customer
care official dated on 19.03.15
Complain no TIRU 960114R.
I have suffered mentally and physically due to the repair of cooker my
family has also suffered as
Guaranteed by you Quality of the product very poor.
Kindly take immediate action to replace cooker (or) pay compensation
for loses accord to me I am enclosing here with necessary documents to
take action immediately if I don’t get any replay (or)
Compensation or replacement I will take the matter to the court of law
to get justice.

At my residence my sister put oil in the cooker and put the stove at sim mode .. after 2 minutes cooker started burning in flames its 3.3 lts prestige deluxe one .. it would be a serious accident ..this is the contact number[protected] please contact as soon as possible at mentioned number

safety valve(sv3)
I am having your pressure cooker for the last 9 months and is fed up with the new sv3 type safety valve. What a disgusting thing is that!!! I bought new cooker of another brand with old safety valve since we got the information from the dealer as this safety valve cannot be replaced with old type. Each time I need to watch and adjust the safety valve correctly to stop the steam leakage. If I forgets to watch, it will not cook atleast 1 glass of rice even after 2 hrs. It is a total wastage of money and gas for me. My parents are using you cooker with old type safety valve for the last 20 years without any complaints. Please never put forward this type of disgusting innovations which will only result in the distroyal of faith in your products.

It has been bought from saravana stores, chennai . Rarely used but not working from the first. replaced all parts still not working . please do the needful soon . The response also poor . it is a pressure pan . very poor testing . it is aluminium cooker. the bill was lost.
There is leakage of gas resulting unable to cook food. We are facing problems. We paid full amount of cooker when baught but getting poor quality services. This all disappointed us. Please resolve the matter aforesaid otherwise we have to knock court.

I have purchased one 3 lit Prestige pressure cooker popular deluxe model 3 years back. My pressure cooker lid was damaged due to holes appear on the lid. The lid is not available in the market. So I want one lid of the above pressure cooker as the base is in new condition. Kindly intimate how I will get this item.

fraudulent company ttk prestige

TTK prestige is a fraud company. I bought one prestige induction based pressure cooker. It went faulty in 3 years. The induction base came out. It had a warranty of 5 years. But the company is not ready to fix the issue. They are saying induction base is not having guarantee. I asked them then "What do you mean by 5 years guarantee for pressure cooker?". They were talking like some fraud insurance companies who were not interested in paying the insurance amount. TTK prestige is giving products now with very bad quality and the after sales service is the worst. Please don't believe this fraud company.

NON "ISI" MARK PRODUCT

I have purchased a Pressure Cooker of the famous brand Prestige from the online shopping website www.yebhi.com . When the cooker is received we found that there is NO ISI mark on the cooker. It is also not there on the Box. Complain is sent to both yebjo.com as well asPrestige company (TTK group). yebhi.com is not replacing the product. While the TTK Group, the manufacturer is silent on this matter. This shows that the company is selling low quality product under the famous brand name through online-shopping websites.

It seems that it's not just online-shopping websites, but the same thing happened to me when I bought it from Big Bazaar. Well, in my case, it was my stupidity that I did not see the ISI mark, but thought it must be on the cooker vessel inside the box, as all the other company cookers had the ISI mark. So when I came home, I saw that ISI mark wasn't there. I was thinking of writing to Prestige before, but now, reading your post, I have very little hope left. But I will write to them anyways, to bring it to their notice that people are aware what they are doing!

It seems still they are manufacturing product without ISI mark on it. I have recently purchased a pressure cooker online which possess the same problem.

Same here. What can we do?
I bought 5 liters Induction based. No ISI mark anywhere. We doubted that the shopkeeper cheated us and looked in the net to confirm it. But, now it is proven that Prestige sells products with non-ISI mark too. Anyway, the customer is cheated.
The structure and quality of handle of the 5L induction based Prestige cooker is different from what we see in the site, with no ISI mark on the top of the lid or anywhere !!!

Able to press the bottom part of cooker very easily and getting pressed .

I have bought a Prestige 5 litre stainless steel pressure cooker around 5 years back, but when i was washing it , i found that i can press the bottom very easily and soap was coming outside from the inner portion. I never saw this kind of problem in pressure cooker and it is really very very risky.

I have a prestige steel pressure cooker of 8lts for which gaskets are not available anywhere in indiranagar and the prestige shop sales person in indiranagar main road is so rude that she replies that it has not been supplied for the last 6 months. Please think our plight as to how to use the cooker without gasket and u dont expect us to change the cookers for such slight reasons, please do tell where exactly i can get the gaskets

i bought a 3l prestige pressure cooker from Big Bazaar, Milan Mall, on dec.1st 2008. within a month's time the washer was lost. they helped me out, but in a couple of days again it fell off. the covering on the whistle also came out. Next time when i went to big bazar they were reluctant to help. nothing was done by them though they lodged the complaint. Never ever saw problems with pressure cooker when it was bought from other stores except for this time when i bought it from big bazaar. Though there was one year guarantee and they should actually have replaced the cooker itself, but they didnt bother
