Unprofessional AC Installation

I recently purchased a Daikin AC from Rathna Fanhouse and had it installed today.

Unfortunately, the installation job was very poor. To put it simply, it seems that the saying "You pay peanuts, you get monkeys to do the job" holds true here.

I wouldn't recommend buying an AC from this store just because it's cheap; the installation process feels like you're at their mercy, and in the end, you're left feeling...

Ac no installation made extreme tension

We bought blue star 1.5 ton split ac on May 23 2020. For the next full week we r trying to call for installation as they said o[censored] take d machine installation person will come immediately but no one came. we have to make repeated calls and no reasonable answer then we directly called blue star and on repeated follow ups a person came but demanded money for installation while during selling itself people in rathna fan house got the money for...

I have 1 "ogeneral" and 1 "lg" a/cs. They run well.

I wanted to buy a genuine indian product. But now i regret my decision.

From ratna cools pvt. Ltd, 36/1, rajabather street, t'nagar, chennai 600017, i bought one ac voltas split 1.0 ton, model: 123 lya, 3 star, remote a/c on 22nd feb17 (Invoice no. 30985, dt 22/2/2017).

But they are not running well. Your mechanics came few times, checked and did some repairs. But no permanent rectification of the problem is seen even after repeated rectifications.

Pl. Let us know what you propose to do.

    I had purchased polar fan 56" {brown} on 06th august 2016 from rathna fan house when opened to fix the fan the cup was completely damaged and looked like duplicate. Is this the way rathna fan house cheats. After the a/c purchased from them and got cheated this is the second time. Please take action over this company or else we will have to take a step feather by uploading on social media.

      I bought the 800 VA USHA inverter with Okaya Battery 135 AH on 7th april 2013..on 19th when we had a power cut battery did even lost for 5 mins..so i filled the complaints with both USHA and OKAYA..both came and said nothing wrong with anything just the battery was full discharged so please put charge anywhere..when i called the rathna fan they gave me the number for Energy care.. i got the compalint number 6737 on 29th april they said they will come on next day itself but no body came in so when i called them they said they can come only on 2nd since 1st was the holiday..unwilligly i agreed( since no other option) then on 2nd also no body came till 7pm and after 7.10 pm some one called me and asked my address..when i filled the compalint i gave my full address.. when they call by 7.10 pm do you thing they going to come to home to collect the battery?... when i speak with the rathna fan they says only we need to contact the engery care or Okaya or USHA...when they cannot provide any service why do they sell the product in the first place...? i will never buy anything from this shop anymore...just wanted to share this since no body should cheated like me... i lost my 15000 since i still have the defective product of OKAYA and usha inverter without any use....

        I bought a Window AC from Rathan Fan house on May 1st. After visiting all showrooms, i made a selection in Hitiachi AC showroom. They demonstrated a of window AC. I opted that AC model and asked the sales person to bill for that Model. They executed the sales and i got the AC box supplied to me on the same day.
        Next day, when i was not in home, they sent a installation person. I was ok to install the AC without seeing anything inside the box.
        Installation was done. After i came back from office, i saw the AC installed; and though of operating once to see how it is doing. There i realised that there is slight difference in the AC display panel.
        I though of checking in Internet about the model they supplied. Then only i realized that the Rathna fan house has shown a higher model and billed & supplied a low end model. After doing little research on Internet i understands that the model they have shown to me was TM (twine Motor) and the model they supplied was QC (Quick Summer Cool).

        First i felt cheated for this model change. I called RFH, they asked me to come directly with bill. When i went there, the person in the showroom - Hitachi stall, said that they can not change the piece because its already installed. After some argument and explaining to them that their side mistake was accepted by him and he said that he will speak to HITACH people to get the model what i have choose. Nothing has happened as of now. 1 moth has gone.

        When i make a call to HITACHI customer case, i realized second point i got cheated by RFH. They are suppose to send HITACHI person for installation. That is what HITACHI is expecting to do by a Dealer. But RFH has sent a carpenter to do installation. Which make HITACHI to reject any warranty due to unauthorised technician installation.

        After speaking to Hitach CS, i come to know that the i got cheated for price also. They said, the price of the AC they have supplied is lowest in Chennai City. But they sold it for MRP.

        Please let me know how to make HITACHI to understand the problems in my case. As a customer, i am expecting to be told about the different model the RFH is billing than the one shown to me. You may ask question of don't i check the model. Two reasons make me not to do the checking:
        1. The belive on the RFH and a natural expectation that when i opt a model and paying to the price for the model, i did not expected Dealter to manipulate in-between because of Non-stock model. Later speaking to the service person, i come to know that they don't have TM model in stock.
        2. I am not educated by the sales team in HITACHI showroom that there is one another model which is similar to the TM model, which is QC. As i am not aware of the existence of another model, my intuition did not work to check the model they are billing and supplying.

        After all, when i report this issue to the floor in-charge person, he just said that i am asking for model change because i did not like it after installation. Which, they can not entertain. How is this? Just kick me out without understanding the pain point of customer.

        If i buy from local small dealer, i may be paying same or less that RFH. But they speak out clearly before selling or at-least consumer will be little cautious because of no brand image like RFH. But for RFH kind of dealers doing this kind of business by cheating customer like me; just for the sake of selling.

        I dislike RFH due to the way they handled my sales, post sales response.

          Experienced one of the worsest customer service at Rathna Fan House. One Mr. Perumal at the billing counter treated me pretty badly and behaved like rogue to be frank. He even shouted and was challenging me to do anything against him due to his behavior when i said to him that i will talk to your higher authority.

          That was one of the bad days in shopping. I will never visit Rathna Fan House henceforth. You too if you need good shopping experience never visit Rathna Fan House in T. Nagar.

          RATHNA FAN HOUSE IS VERY WORST SHOP[ WHO NEVER KJNOES THE VALUE OF CUSTOMERS I BOUGHT HITACHI AC OM 3/06/2010 BY PAYING IMMEDIATE CASH 35000.THEY TOLD THEY WILL DELIVER NEXT DAY.BUT THEY HAVE NOT DELIVERED AND I CALLED TEN TIMES TO SHOP THEY TOLD IT WILL COME BY 8O FINALLY THEN I CALLED 8o AND ASKED THEN THEY TOLD IT WILL COME 2MW BUT STILL AC NOT DELIVERED AND ALL ILLITERATE LOCAL SLUMS ONLY WORKING THERE I AM VERY AFRAID TO SPEAK WITH THEM AND ALL THGE PEOPLE WHO SPOKE WITH ME IN PHONE WAS ILLITERATE IF NEED SATISFACTION NEVER GO RATHNA FAN HOUSE CHEAPEST AND WORST PLACE IN CHENNAI.VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.TODAY IS 05/06/2010 STILL AC NOT DELIVERED AND I AM GETTING INSULT FROM THOSE WORKERS PLEASE YOU ALSO DONT BE IN MY SITUATION.
          The RATHNA STORE (FIRM) located at T.Nagar the shop manager MANOHAR, SHOP [WHO NEVER GIVE THE VALUE RESPECT OF CUSTOMERS). I bought the bed and wardrobe the cost is Rs50, 000/. They delivered are not delivered thing on time when I asked them no proper response when I called thru mobile they never give proper answer, this is our bitter experience in RATHNA STORE (FIRM). Dear public please don’t go and buy anything in RATHNA STORE (FIRM) and their groups. If you visit and buy something surly one of you need s to share the same kind of issue to public.           i have purchased wardrobe, mixy, grinder, fridge, washing machine and some utensils on a single day
          the told me to deliver the things my evening.
          but i didnt get any information about the things till nite 12.00o clock
          i tried their number so many times and i am tired. i received a call from them on midnite 1.10
          they told me that he ill deliver within ten mins. and they deliver at 2.45am with a broken utensil.
          whole nite my family didnt sleep including my 6 months baby.

          and they didnt believe the utensil was broken. the way of talking is worst.
          i am very upset. friends try to avoid ratna stores. even dont think about it.
          Hey, you are absolutely right. If a customer wants a good service and humanly treatment, he should never visit Rathna Fan House. If you want your A/C to be delivered, you need to call atleast 15-20 times for one week. Never visit Rathna Fan House just for the sake of few hundred rupess less than other dealers because treatment is more important than few hundres of ruppes that we can save. I strongly recommend customers not to visit Rathna Fan House for any purchases.
          I purchased Daikin A/c from rathna fan house and there was some delay in delivery of the same. Mr. Vijay, owner is a very nice person and he helped delivery immediate. I think because of season, A/c are in demand and i think it should happen with every dealer. I dont think rathna fan house can be blamed for it. Only when we are into that business, we can know their problems
          I second Visha's comments... Rathna Fan house is the worst place to visit if your are looking to buy ACs or fans. They really do not know the meaning of what 'customer service' is. I agree that they have good display of ACs brand wise and demonstrations. However, once you buy the AC you are at their mercy.
          They do not keep up the delivery and installation dates that they agreed when you buy nor they attend phone calls/ answer your queries. This is the worst customer support i have ever received in Chennai. Everytime i visit them for an update on my ACs delivery I have been humiliated. Its almost 10 days since I paid Rs. 35K and still I havent got my AC.

          I bought Voltas from Ratna stores in December 2011 and it has a repair just in four months of purchase. The rite aircons(service center) people blaming ratna that they may have given the old stock. Its 15 days since the complain has been registered. Yet they haven't attended to. In my case, its rathna fan house people, rite aircons people and voltas who need to be blamed.

          ALL are cheating the poor people easiily that store. Sales person and manager dont have any knowlegde of AC and other products... My Experinice was very bad with that store.. I bought one ac in that store sales person this is good model and i booked and went... they sending voltas AC as Second hand piece without Fully Cealed and It was opened... I asked that man he said it was new..i lorry it was teared... They are planned and working with ceat the people...

          If any people dont know any knowledge of AC tat all .. he put money in Dustbin...

          If people who have more money i[censored] want to waste money .. Best place u go Ratna Fan house..

          AS ur friends pls dont go there and Give a good chance to other dealer who perform well, , , at least that company will give good service and Price to all people... robbers

          If we buy for 10000 in other showroom... in rantan fan house we get for 7000... we thing that we saving 3000... but after we using that product we spend more than 10000 and we wasted 7000 also...

          They don't keep up to the commitments. They have taken the old a/c and window is left open. Burglars can come and attack as the new a/c not fixed. No response - in fact I asked for phone numbers and they gave the numbers yesterday ..none of them working. Phone switched off... Don't buy anything from this place.
          Rathna Fan House is worst shop to buy ACs . I have very bad experience with them.I purchased Hitachi AC with them by paying ready cash.They took 10 days to install the AC.The person known as Mahendran & Co installed the AC.He took some two kids along with him.They were the one who installed the AC.They were truly unprofessional and because of their faulty installation, the refrigerant gas leaks frequently.They handled the outdoor and indoor unit very roughly.
          Coming again Ratna Fan house, they are the worst dealers. They even won't take phone when we call them for delivery.You have to pay them and forget about their goods. They send all unprofessional persons to install ACs.Anyone who is going to purchase AC think twice thrice or more than that to purchase ACs from them
          This is ammu.my bro ammu.my brother marriage on 12th sep 14.I planned to give a return gift on that day.so I went rathana stores on 31st august 14.I choosed the plate model type.I oreded 550 pieces.first manohar told rate of single piece is 26.After making the bill he told the rate is 27.I said ok.they promised with in a two days we send to ur native place tirunelveli.Beilving that i payed full amount .after two days i make a cal but none is picked.so i went directly.they told to give three more days.i said ok and move from that place.after three days i went there, manohar simply saying no stock on that model so u choose anothet model. I replayed that I like that pattern very much.no idea to move on anothet model, better return back the money.immediately he told we will give the pattern u like.ibsaid ok.yesterday i went to the shop i asked please give they money back, manohar and sundar told to cum evening.i went evening.He told to cum on today.i feel verytensed and sad.cheated guys.manohar and sundar irressponseable and respectless persons.no customer caring.faurd guys.waste .

          I Purchased few items in New Rathna stores in Vadapalani today..I am very much frustrated with their employees behaviour. They really have to put a step forward to teach their employees on how to behave with Clients. A lady supervisor behaved like XXXX( No word to say) to customer today..the DGM was not ready to take the complaint against the Supervisor ..Very worst feeling ...Never will recommend others for New Rathna stores...
          They are really loosing their good name..
          Mrs.Bala behaved very odd to my brother and when I tried to make her ok..she immediately started scolding me saying ask you husband to shut XXX..how could she say like this...
          What a way...wow never seen any of them behaving like this to customer...

          I had bought several items from Ratna Fan House, fortunately I never had a complaint of late delivery etc. For sure they do not deliver second hand or duplicate products. They always ask you to contact Company Authorised Service Centre to attend to complaint.

          All of are say it is correct because i am also bought several items from Rathna store(firm), the goods are good but you know what time i received goods around 3.30am i never to see this delivery time in all over world one of the worst customer service in world so please don not go to Rathna store.

          Another one incident in Rathna Fan house i plan to buy AC so will call to shope but no response finally some one took the phone i am asking some details about AC but they simply to said come to shope .

          I purchased this because the sales person (rathna fan house - chennai)said it is 100% copper and all materials are copper and he showed one open model saying all parts are copper. but now few website showing it have aluminum alloy and copper coil with blue-fin . If it is true i am greatly cheated. What should i do now. I asked 50 times to say that it is copper or not and spent 2 days for a product with 100% copper. I could have buy a carrier or hitachi or daikin but bought it believing panasonic. I want to return this and get a pure 100% copper model. It is unused and unopened stats now

          I got a Mitsubishi ac on March 13 ac got delivered on 18 ac installation n others cost 4300 n full waste of the attendant on installation

          They ruined the ac n says the problem with the product, ac sold person says the mechanic problem either way I paid 4300 out of ac cost n felt very odd. Until today ac Is not working as there is no gas in the outdoor to ac run.

            I bought an AC - Voltas from Rathna fan house. They have this process of delievering ACs only after 2/3 days of booking because of large volume of orders.... this kind of situation call for proper handling of delievery to meet the committed date or atleast call the customer to inform the delays. This is not happening in RFH and it is very frustrating to see that even our calls are not answered by them. The phones simply rings or is always engaged... do they expect customers to visit their showroom for follow-ups... ridiculous..

            Moreover, after getting to speak to them to follow-up on delievery of ACs, they now say that they do not have that particular model right now... this is even more frustrating...

            RFH sucks.... they have an option...

            1. Improve their process around supply chain management
            2. Improve call handling @ office - toll free or central customer care etc
            3. Improve customer experience overall

            OR

            1. Close down the business

            OR

            1. Do not take more orders (dont be greedy) if you cannot meet the delivery committment...

            We are alos facing the same issue. we booked the A?C on 11th April 2011 paid in full and they said they will deliver it on 15th April 2011 after calling many time on the next day ie 16th April 2011 still the AC was not delivered . no prpoer response and when said we dont want the AC on 17th April 2011 they are saying OK what a shop LET THE SHOP BE CLOSED DOWN. Our sincere suggestion get your electrical aplliances near your home area itself even if the price is little high.
