I understand your problem. It is the same everywhere in India. We need ration card just to get gas connection; ration card has no other use. Still govt officials refuse to issue ration card; they ask to surrender old ration card. There are many like me who do not possess old ration card, because we never had a ration card. The only ration card we had was in the name of my grandfather who had 8 children, but when these children married and formed 8 separate families, only one of my uncle surrendered my grandfather's card and got his card. Other seven dont have ration card. Just pay some bribe, job will be done.

I have applied for a new ration card on 6th July 11 vide receipt no.3055/11, In Madurai Collector office (Madurai West Zone). Till date nothing has come up.

You have to pay bribe, otherwise you wont get ration card. I too faced same prob and ultimately had to pay bribe to get ration card in bangalore. I stay in rented house and change every 2 to 3 years because of increasing rent. I cannot get all the documents they ask for as address proof. My driving license i got in my first old address. My voter id is in my second old address. I have only mobile telephone bill, but they wont accept that. They ask for old ration card, which i never had. I need ration card just to get gas supply. The only way is to pay bribe. This is the condition in bangalore, the IT capital of India, where nothing is computerized in govt offices. Shame on karnataka govt. Shame on central govt. Obtaining gas connection is very difficult, you have to pay lot of bribe for ration card, gas connection, etc. It defeats the purpose of subsidy. There is artificial gas scarcity and black marketing of gas cylinder. They should just remove subsidy on gas, and give subsidy on petrol. Because petrol can be bought at any bunk without producing any documents.

I am working Daily wage earner and shifted from koyalaguda, Devalamma Nagaram(V), Choutuppal (M), Nalgonda (D) I have applied for ration card transfer from koyalaguda to 11-7-8/141, Road No. 1, Ambed Nagar Colony, Ward-39 (V), L.B.Nagar (Urban) (M), Ranga Reddy (D) but said work is stopped by concerned authority on the plea that computerization work is undergoing and will be done after 1 month. But even after passing of 6 months this work not attended by concerned authority.

I Submitted the letter of M.R.O. and Ration Dealer to the Asst. Civil Supply Officer. Circle III Saroor Nagar, Ranga Dist.

Due to this I am not able to my ration anywahere because they cancled my ration card at Nalgonda Ration Card No. WAP2319015A0230 but they are not realsed at Ranga Reddy Card No. WAP1585382C0449.

This work is one of the essential work and it should not be stopped for such a long period official or unofficialy.

I JUST CANT TOLERATE SUCH TYPE OF ANSWER.I DONT KNOW WHY OUR GOVERNMENTS WORKS ARE SO SLOW.

RATION CARD — Ration Card Cancellation

My ration card is automatically cancelled in 2009 as per the ration record office but till date i am buying and getting things from my ration shop so how will i get confirmed where really the ration officer at office is saying true.

My self have given to make new reation card as I was shifted from PCMC to Pune Municipal corporation. I have provided all required relevant legal documents but I am not getting my ration card from last One & half Month & also visited several times at ration card office near Saneguruji nagar, Ambil Odha, Pune but no positive response. Due to non availability of ration card My daughter could not able to get her scholer ship. My form Entry number is T/13 as well as 565 dtd.01.10.2010.

So kindly please take necessry action sothat i can get my card ASAP as well as consumer get their right in time.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am in Kodambakkam area, Chennai. 6 months before I went to USA with my family during that time some kind of verification on my Ration Card and it got blocked. To unblock that I have submitted a form with my new address (in kodambakkam only). I got a receipt from the ration card office by stating that "the issue will be resolved by 3 months".

But nobody didnt come to my house for the verfication and my issue not get solved till date. I have walked to the Ration card office more than 10 times, but nobody gives the proper reasons. If I asked any question they are getting angry. I am not sure how the issue will get resolved.

Sub: Abnormal dragging in issuing Ration Card(change of address)

Please note that I have submitted a request to change of address to T.Nagar office on 03.06.2010 with following supporting documents.
BSNL landline bill and Gas bill (original).Latter as per their instruction, I have produced,
Verification report on 07.09.10 .Token and cancellation report given by the Ration shop on 22.09.10 (04 months over) Based on this they issued one receipt to collect Ration card on 15.10.10. on that they asked me to come another day since the time is 1.05 pm. their normal issuing time is up to 01.pm!!!
So I went on 22.10.10 .then they simply returned my Ration card and instructed me to submit fresh application because my case come under “Pattial- 11” instead of “Pattial- 1”.That also submitted on the same day.As a layman, I asked when it will be over.Their reply is quite surprising!!! It may take another 90 days because Verification report has to come once again!
Sir, for this reply from them, my 12 days leave, 30 hrs standing in the queaue(average 2.30 hrs per day X 12 days)become waste. In the back side of your notice, it is mentioned that “ change of address within the same Ration shop limit, it will take 3 days”!!!
Sir, All supporting documents needed for my change of address has already given by me alongwith my first application.and I have submitted the Xerox of Verification report.because the original has already submitted alongwith my first application” besides the Verification officer has written clearly that “ 100% OK” in the back cover of the Ration card which was submitted again by me in the second application on 22.10.10.
Then why need for an another Verification report, they are insisting (Verification report dtd.06.09.10-just one month back from the date of second application) and Pattial 1 or 11 is it our fault. ?
Due this unreasonable, abnormal and un understandable delay in change of address I have lost one TV given under “Kalainjar one card one TV Scheme” and I am unable to apply for a Passport for a gulf Job.
I am enclosing herewith full set of doc submitted by me in the application for your kind ref.
I am expecting your valuable advise to get my Ration card with new address and if you need any special Fees to get it immediately, I am ready to remit (like some Tatkal scheme in railway ).
Damages caused by me...

Rationing Office — Rationing Office Trouble

Dear Sir/ Madam,
My Father has applied for Change in Address and addition of my spouse's name in Ration Card on 13th Feb 2010.
We received acknowledgement receipt from the Rationing Office and we have been asked to visit rationing office after 8 days to collect the rationing card with required changes made.
On 6th of March 2010, when we went to collect our the rationing card, we are surprised to know from rationing office clerk (miss Dhanashri) that, our application submitted on dated 13th feb 2010 was misplaced and they unable to find it (she was searching the application for 1 hour in front of me on 6th march 2010).
Later, to her query, we let her know the name of rationing shop which is allocated to us and she had given us a register (containing list of customers belong to that rationing shop) of that shop owner and asked me to search our name in that register.
I searched our name after spending almost 2 hrs and shown to her.
To our surprise again, she realized that our Rationing card got expired and it requires new initiation.
( this must be notified and informed to us earlier before accepting the application which they didn’t )
When asked what exactly needs to be done, she was answerless as they misplaced our earlier application with original documents and ration card attached to it.
after 10-15 mins she told us to apply for new Ration Card and attach photo copies of documents submitted earlier and then she will speak with her superior on this case to issue a new ration card to us.
As per the suggestion given by rationing officer on 6th march 2010, we applied for New card with photocopies of earlier submitted application and acknowledgement receipt of the same on 13th march 2010 and we received acknowledgement receipt of this application as well and they asked us to come by 8 days and meet Mr. Kotkar (officer) for further procedures and fees submission.
When we went on 20th March 2010, Mr. Kotkar (Officer) told us that he didn’t receive the application itself and he is not even answering the querys properly, his behavior was arrogant and rigid , so when crosschecked with miss. Dhanashri (as we are in communication with her till date) she told us to come on next day i.e 21st march 2010.
On 21st march 2010 morning, we went to Mr. Kotkar for further proceedings on our application, He spoked with us in very rash manner and told us that he received our application today from his collogue (i.e on 21st march 2010) and asked us to come on Saturday (i.e on 27th march 2010)!!

It was very much disturbing and painful situation for us to hear that nothing has happened on our application since 1 week after submission and even after coming on the date given we have been asked to revisit for the same purpose again after 1week.
To that, when we went on 27th march 2010, again to our surprise nothing has happened on our application and again we asked to come on 3rd April 2010.

on 3rd April 2010 also, Mr. Kotkar was not willing to give the approval on our application case, where as it has been already approved by his authority earlier, he was just using the power of the position and trying to postpone the dates without providing any satisfactory reasons, when we raised our voice and asked Mr. Kotkar to give us detailed description in writing on our case why their is so much delay, he immidiately approved it in no time and asked us to submit the case amt to clerk .

this is how they check patience of normal people..

We stay at Warje and distance from our home to Ration office is almost 16-18 kms and considering my father’s age and health, is it right that the way responsible people at public works department behave like this .
The work which should finish within 2-3 weeks has taken almost 1.5 months so far and we are not sure how many more times we have to do rounds of this government rationing office.
Requesting you to kindly provide your personal attention to this case and do the needful.

Hello, do you know what you are saying. You cant stop anybody from owning a ration card just because you are the owner. Nobody can register your property, if you have all the documents in your name. Dont mix ration card and property issue.

WE ARE RESIDING PAST 20YEARS IN THE SAME ADDRESS, AS MY MOTHER IS AGED AND SICK PERSON. SHE CANNOT DO ANY WORK ALONE, I AM ALSO PVT. EMPLOYEE, ALWAYS I WILL BE IN OUTSTATION, SO, THEY ARE WRONGLY THOUGHT THAT WE ARE NOT HERE, AND ALSO THEY CANCELLED OUR RATION CARD WITHOUT PRIOR INFORMATION.HERE WE HAVE ALREADY COMPLAINT TO THE THASILDAR (CIVIL SUPPLIES) ABOUT WRONLGY CANCELLED THE RATION CARD .
WE ASKED MANY TIMES, BUT THEY ARE NOT RESPONSE PROPERLY.

AS PER OUR KNOWLEDGE RATION CARD IS VERY NEEDFUL DOCUMENT & IT IS THE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AS PER OUR INDIAN CONSTITUTION...PLS CONDUCT THE STRICT RULES FOR THIS TYPE ISSUE...
WE NEED RATIONCARD AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.

this is refer with our card no APL25180480 in the name of Shri Mahender Sharma S/o Shri Gulab Chandra residence of A-91 Adhyapak Nagar, Nangloi Delhi-41. I have a complaint against Ration Office and Ration Store Keeper. Our Ration card has cancelled by the Ration Office. I have already submitted the application to Ration Office but they are not taking any action against the problem. we have not receive the ration last few years. because the ration card has cancelled.This is my request to you please take the action against the problem and give us the solution to me .

That is why I removed my name from there and applied a fresh card here. Presently I do not have any proof for my address. I am not getting any proper from anyone. I kindly request you to please take some necessary action and process my Ration Card and provide me the status on this immediately.

ration card query — ration card query

After applying for a ration card in march 2009, the officials have not processed it. I would like to write & lodge a complaint to the higher authorities . Please list the the officials/authorities/offices where complaint can be lodged.

i have applied new ration card at nannilam supply office on Aug"2008. after one year a team of verification officials came to my house at that time i and my family went to chennai to attend a family function. afterthat, i received a letter stating that " YOUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN REJECTED DUE TO YOU ARE NOT LIVING IN SAID ADDRESS". Now what is the next step.

I was applied three times with all documents but i did get until now, when i ask the concern deportment peoples they did not reply properly, last yeas August 2008 I applied one I have receipt each and every time when I applied at the time I have to spend more then 500 rupees.

I hope you understand my problem so please can you advice me next want I want do? To get the ration card.
