Rehab treatment under Maheshwarappa BM

One of the worst hospitals to visit, the doctor is absent minded and forgets and gives wrong treatment, he has no knowledge, he is more of a sales man than a doctor, his main aim is to fill beds and make his revenue targets then treating, he is a money swindler, never ever go there even if any other doctor or hospital recommends, sakra has tieups in such a way that they pay commission to other doctors for sending patients, they cheat people,...

My Brother-In-law(B.N. Krishnappa) was diagnosed with Liver cancer and through a reference we met Dr. Shruthi Reddy. Upon checking the reports, she advised us to do biopsy and PET Scan and once those done it was mentioned to us that he is diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer(Cholangiocarcinoma ).

As a next natural step, we were sent for Chemo but looking at his Jaundice, Bilirubin levels the doctor advised we take treatment to bring this down.

We came back and met Dr. Shruthi Reddy, who in turn advised we get admitted and they will do two procedures.
1. Put pipe for removing the bile juices.
2. put stent in the liver

We admitted him in the hospital on 24th January 2024.
25th Jan, the first procedure was done, they took him to CATH LAB and the procedure lasted over 4 hours. He came out quite weak, but still in senses and was able to speak a bit, even walk a bit, also intake food in small quantities.

on Monday, 29th Jan, he was taken back into the CATH Lab for putting the stent. The doctor had repeatedly told us it will be 20 minutes process, but it took 4 hours, when we questioned, we were given some operational excuses. When he came out of the CATH Lab, his speech had gone, he couldn't open his eyes, from that moment onwards hardly any food was going in.

Next 24 hours doctors came and saw just twice and when we fed him any food he was vomiting, when we asked doctors, they shouted at us and asked us to be patient. Never gave any correct information, they always sent junior doctors who were extremely disrespectful and would only shout at us.

For us also with respect to doctors and their knowledge at the same time not to cause any damage to our patient we kept quiet and followed what they said.

On 30th Jan, with in 20hours of surgery they discharged the patient, even when the patient was not able to open the eyes, no food was going inside, can't sit without any support, struggling to breath.

The way discharge was done was very clear they knew they had messed up and wanted to get us out ASAP.
4pm Doctor came and saw and advised discharge, within next 30mins we were discharged. The billing department had our bill ready; nurses were prepared to kick us out and everything happened so fast we were shocked. Normally it takes half a day for discharge.

Once he came home his condition deteriorated further. On 1st February I called Dr.Shruthi Reddy, She mentioned I had told you prepare yourself for eventuality, when we questioned if putting stent had hastened the process, she justified by saying this is the process, when asked why he was discharged in such a frail condition, no answers, we asked if we could bring him back, she rejected instead suggested we take him elsewhere or provide homecare. Basically, she just washed off her hands.

Thats when I had my doubt and contacted other doctors in India, Singapore, US, all unanimously said Stent shouldn't have been put, he was in advance stage and any procedure would have only caused more inflammation.

Unfortunately for us exactly 6 days after they put Stent he passed away, so basically Dr.Shruthi ensured he was dead in 6 days instead of him being alive for 6 months.

He became their experiment piece.

Not only this, but she also caused financial damage to us. On the first visit when the patient and his wife were in distress, she had asked many questions, one of them was about Hepatitis B, which they only knew 3 months ago and he had accident 18years ago, so she somehow linked this and wrote in the report he had Hepatitis B since 18years.

If he knew since 18years, why wouldn't he get treated? why wouldn't other doctors pick this up?

when Insurance company questioned, she refused to accept and change it. This meant we had to pay the entire bill in Cash, the bill for their experiments and fast-tracking death is Rs.3.9lacs.

Normally for terminally ill patients the hospitals provide counselling, and they just don't casually tell the patient, here nothing was provided, he was informed as though he has common cold or fever.

Overall horrible service and irresponsible doctor, who is only interested in making money.

I have admitted on 2nd March 2023 for removal of my axillary lymp under my arm but doctor had removed my axillary lymp . I came to know after 15 days when stitches got removed. I asked doctor what asked to remove is still there only what did you remove, then she is telling me sorry by mistake it happened. I will do it now only and she removed there itself in 10 minutes. She is telling sorry dear for giving you such a big scar. Instead of 2 stitches she had opened my entire arm and had put more than 11 clips. Still the wound didn't heal and it is paining. Doctor is telling me I can say sorry what else I can do more than this. No habit of listening to the patient in sakra doctor. Nurses are so bad. They told me that they have given blood during my surgery and took blood from my attender. Afterwards when I asked doctor she said we didn't give any blood. They are cheaters. For money 100 people will call to know insurance details but no care to patients worst hospital I can say .please don't go to sakra world hospital

      Dear All,

I have visited Dr Raghu who is very humble and soft spoken skilled Dr.
When Dr Raghu Referred Dr Dheeraj Tiwari who is in DNB Radiology department we met him 3days back and based on prescribed and discussion we went to meet him for checking and discussion on Ct scan and and reports check up for my brother back eche and stomach pain .

But when I asked Dr Dheeraj for the same he said what will I do .

Which is shame on him being a doctor and as a responsible person.

Such arrogant and bad attitude person should not be there in the system.

It's shame that Sakra hospital having such shameless and Dr who charge money but don't respond or treat well.

Admitted my father Veeraiah, a 70 year old CAD patient but generally healthy and asymptomatic, for Angioplasty on 25th May under Sreekanth Shetty. We received him dead on 5th June, 2022 (after paying nearly 13.8 lakhs). No history of stroke, blood pressure, severe angina or cardiac arrest before he was admitted.

Dr Shreekanth Shetty gave assurance that there is no risk. Otherwise, i wouldn't have risked sending a healthy man to the operating theater.

Day by Day proceedings. I have evidence for every single detail I'm posting below.

Day-1 (25th May, 2022) - 2 hours into angioplasty, i was called into cathlab and was told that stent was only done for LAD. Shreekanth said my father's BP was going down, so they didn't risk stenting the other left branch artery. 2 hours after angioplasty, my father had a CHB (complete heart block) . A CPR and emergency medicine was given and he was kept on temporary pacemaker. The reason conveyed was - a branch near LAD was blocked while stenting LAD in what is termed as snow plowing effect. But, i was assured that he'll be okay in a day and we can remove the support of temporary pacemaker.
[Why wasn't care taken to avoid Snow plowing effect ? How could they take easy a branch vessel which is in such a close proximity? ]

Day-2 - My father in CCU became disoriented because of all the emergency medicines. He started severely bleeding from puncture sites, writhed in pain. Doctors conveyed that it's just CCU psychosis. They also conveyed that the hearth rhythm is fine. So, they removed support of temporary pacemaker by evening.
[I was already regretting my decision to have him operated in Sakra]

Day-3 - His pain and disorientation increased. By 1:30PM, he had another CHB and heart rate went 0 for a while. He was given emergency CPR again and put back on temporary pace maker. Watching him in pain was the most painful experience. Mr Shreekanth called me in and informed me that a permanent pacemaker is necessary.
[I already felt defeated and wanted him at-least alive and out of the hospital]

Day-4 - A permanent pacemaker was placed. Another 24 hours observation in CCU advised

Day-5 - He was moved to general ward in somewhat a weak state. But, i was happy to see him brought out of CCU. I thought worst has passed. He would atleast live with LAD stented and permanent pacemaker for a few years.
        [What do i know ?😞 ]

Day - 6 - One of those better feeling days in general ward. My father slowly started to gain his orientation. He couldn't remember much of what exactly happened in last 5 days.

Day-7 - They started to make him walk. He was struggling, but he was trying. He would improve ( i thought). Probable discharge next day.

Day-8 - Fluctuating blood sugars. Blood sugar went as high as 480. Endocrinologists struggled to find the right volume of insulin for him. Next day is his birthday. We hoped for discharge atleast the next day.

Day-9 - Blood sugar was coming under control, but he was struggling to walk even to bathroom. I conveyed my concern to the doctors team. They said they didn't pick anything negative in ECG and Echo done that morning. They said he might be feeling weak. But, he was advised intravenous potassium. Something in ECG made them feel that he's lacking it. His 71st birthday, but he wasn't feeling better.
[Why wasn't he feeling better even on the 9th day after angioplasty?]

Day-10 - Low fasting Blood sugar - 54. I wasn't concerned too much about this as his readings are usually around that value in the morning even before his admission into hospital. Discharge postponed again. I was more concerned that he wasn't even able to walk slowly and comfortably for more than 10 to 20 steps.
[Will he ever be the same Man again ? I started to feel that he might never recover in the hospital setting]

Day-11 - Another low fasting blood sugar value. But, this time duty doctor advised discharge. He was moved to pre-ccu area for final discharge tests. They finally gave a discharge order around 3PM. I spoke to Shreekanth one last time, and he assured that everything is looking good. After insurance process, we were finally discardged at 10:30 PM at night Saturday 4th, June. I knew my father wasn't the same healthy looking man, but i hoped he would be fine at home. Paid 7 laksh from my pocket, besides another 4.5 laksh from insurance. Took him home, he struggled to walk even into to the bed.

[No idea what is the problem. May be he's still feeling weak as doctor's said]

My family gathered around his bed, and he spoke for an hour saying that he's at-least happy to come out of the hospital. Little did we know that it would be our last family gathering]

Day-12 - Sunday. I believed it would be a good one after a month. But... at 8:15AM, my father complained of heartburn. He said he never felt that way before. I immediately rushed him back to hospital. In less than an hour, we were at Sakra emergency, my father still complaining of pain but stable. Readmitted to hospital in less than 12 hours.

ECG was taken. Severe heart stroke !

Emergency medicines administered. Moved to cath lab after feeling a bit stable. Angiogram performed and found that there is a blood clot at exactly the place where the stent was placed on LAD. Performed balloon angioplasty and clot was removed.
[Why was there a blood clot when two different blood thinners were given all the while in hospital? why did the stent fail?]

At this point, I lost control of everything. I don't know what exactly was happening. I just watched things passively in disbelief.

What have i done to my father???

In an hour, i got a call from CCU. I walked in and i was given the worst news of my life time. His platelet count for some reason has hit 6000. Doctor's team said they would give guarantee to his life from now on. He organs could bleed at any time. They didn't know why the platelet count fell at that point. It could be emergency medicine. They said they are giving steroids to fight against his own immunity. Blood transfusion was in progress.

I broke into tears and walked to his bed.

He was conscious but blood was oozing from all puncture holes. I wanted to talk to him. I know it could be my last talk.

For a minute, i have his oxygen mask removed and told him in tears that I would take care of the family.

These words hit him hard. He understood the severity. His eyes welled. He nodded his head in resignation and looked up. That look and nod will haunt me for my entire life time.

        What have i done ????

I went out to carry the bad news to my mother.

Within half an hour, his internal organs started to bleed. All the CCU team team were around him giving CPR. He was brought back before he went into shock again. The whole CCU team pounced on him again giving cpr one after the another.

        He was no more !

They issued a death certificate stating that the reason for death is Heparin induced Thrombocytopenia. Meaning, they administered a drug which reacted and killed him.
Heparin could kill. Why didn't they know this? Why didn't they keep a check on it ? How many times have they given this in the last 11 days? Are they supposed to administer it so many times in such a short period of time?

My father and myself rode to hospital on bike, and walked into cathlab on25th May and i took his body home (after paying another 1.4 lakhs - total 13.8 lakhs) in Ambulance in an icebox
        .
I'm left with a guilt of lifetime for having him taken to Sakra which led to this death.

How will i ever sleep peacefully again? What have i done?

              Hi Sir,
Doctor has advised to apply one ointment named cicatrix after my face surgery in sakra hospital but the ointment which pharmacy department has given me is more than 80% empty attaching the pics in the msg. When i opened it from inside after some days, I realized that it is more then 80% empty. So at my next appointment with the doctor I told him that the ointment hasn't worked at all in removing my face surgery marks & was 80% empty, as if earlier he advised me to use this ointment . He advised me to get refund in form of new ointment from the Pharmacy Department. On Doctor's advise, I checked with Pharmacy Department for providing me new ointment as it was more than 80% empty but instead of giving me refund they spoke to me in a very rude manner.

They told me that you should have returned it back just after buying it, i asked them why will anybody open sealed box or packaging that to of 3834.99 INR (30ml bottle) and when after few days I opened it from inside I realized that the ointment is more than 80% empty.

I also have the bills with me.

I was cheated by the Hospital. I request all the readers that please do not buy such expensive ointments prescribed by the so called money making hospitals. Beware of such fraudlents. Their only motive is to make money from the middle class people.

Seeking for help from the Respective Indian Consumer Complaints Forum.

              Regards,
              Ankit Jain

we have admitted my mother for spinal cord operation (minimal invasive), operation is happened on 10/Jan/2015. during operation they had cut 5 places of body, 4 places are around the area of the body where patient has problem. 5th place is isolated place from the problem area . after post surgery, they informed about only 4 places they stitched, they have not informed about 5th place, even my mother doesn't know about it . after 11 days of surgery we again went to sakra hospital for stitches removal, Even at that time they have not noticed and removed stitches at 5th place . after 17 days of operation my mother felt pain in 5th place at that time only we noticed stitches at 5th place. we went to the hospital and asked about it, answer from them is it is surgical purpose we had cut at 5th place. that is fine, when we asked about after operation why it is not informed about stitches at 5th place, by mistake we forgot to inform . how a world class hospital can do this mistake. so by mistake they forgot inform and removal of stitches . my mother is diabetic, by god grace nothing is happened . But in case of diabetic patient there is chances of infection at stitched place. is this the world class patient care by sakra ? i will add photo proof after some time
                Dear All
Recently one of the my cousin went blood cheek up sakra world hospital at bellandur, This week bloody busters given false report, this people given HIV- POSSTIVE after we went other 2 hospitals we cheeked report came HIV NEGTIVE, Pls dont go like money eater hospitals.
Horrible hospital, world class from outside, n 3rd class from inside. My father was admitted, was in single room, diabetes patient, instead of giving medicines before breakfast the doctor instructed yo hive after food, my father explained and wanted to take as per his prescription, then sister said, ohk its mistakenly written them, you plz follow your time. For drinking water for the patient even you have to request them again and again, which is really pathetic and disgusting. If your patient us in CCU then do not expect any communication from inside, you have yo request several times the security guard (as if he is the CCU in charge), to give u lil update on patient health even whether the patient is stable or not. Else you have to wait and wait, no one will communicate. I admitted in Apollo hospitals three times and experience is really good and hassle free.
It is a lousy hospital only after making money by squeezing the people. Stay far far away from it if you can. Their formula is to hire the top most doctors by paying them the highest salaries in the city and then the process of sucking your pockets dry begins...Staff are argumentative, lethargic and arrogant. The doctors are good though but they will make you bleed financially. Beware
My mother in law (65 yrs) is here since last night. and she is diagnosed with pancreatitis and also gallstones. But still they are not sure of it and running multiple ultrasounds, MRI scan etc. Different different doctors are giving different opinions. First they said it can be cured with medication. Now they are suggesting for surgery. Many things are going on. We are totally confused. No clue what they are upto. Please if any one can suggest something. Thank you
Sakra world hospital is a place to snatch money from patients. they keeps you waiting for hours and if you get late the then they says visit would be considered as walk-in and when i asked to give in written then they refuse to do so if you can't make it staff says that's your problem. worst hospital i have ever seen. Staff behavior is worst.
This hospital is money minded one. I met gastrologiest for my abdomen pain, they diagnosed hpylori bacteria infection and they suggested tablets, on the prescription sheet itself doctor mentioned, any side effects call me, after a week time I started palpitation and drowsiness so I called her, she did not pick my call so called her second time with some gap. The moment she picked my call her attitude was arrogant and she is teaching me the manners rather than listening my problem. This how the careness on patients from this world class hospital.
