On Sept.24, 2023, I got down at Camp road bus stand at around 8-40 P.M. (travelled form Velachery to Camp Road by A51 bus). As soon as I got down, a share auto with passengers (with definitely two people sitting at either side of the driver in the front, more possibly at the back seats) came at LIGHTNING SPEED from the LEFT SIDE of the bus, and passed me at a whisker's distance. Sharing autos from kasarvadavli to thane station west and viceversa are charging 50 rs instead of 40 and giving silly reason for fare hike. Middle class people like me cannot afford this on everyday basis, because my salary is not increased.

Moreover if reasons are given like traffic jam and all for fare rise then it is not justified. Because fare rise is not only because of me, it is because of these autowalas who drive disobeying traffic rules.

Whenever questioned on fare rise, we get impolite and rude responses. This is a serious issue, since for us share auto is the only means of fastest public transportation.

Please look into this and justify the customers.

He charged me 35rs from pantaloons to dr supermarket, inspite of me telling the place i dropped in. He refused to give back the change and tuk 30rs finally..
I pay only 20rs from there and this fellow charged me high on that day, people like him charge daily hgher prices whch makes us scary to get on a share auto itself..
So kindly take action over these people

I got shareauto from bandarapalli to agraharam (Natrampalli talk) i gave rs.10 for 2km. This is too much spare they also speak illegal. Please take action. Ladies can't speak with them. (Pudupettai, natrampalli auto drivers — vellore district)
They asked minimum ten rupees for get in and getdown and also fight with ladies. Please consider this compliant this is many working people's feelings. Thank-you.

I got in share auto from in between kamakshi hospital pallikarani and mylai balaji nager today morning (23/3/2016)and got down before kaiveli signal.i gave him 5rs asusual he charged me 10 rs and asked me to pay him i refused he came behind me abusing in bad words .and said even if public get in and get down he will charge 10rs.the auto number is TN 51 1361.

I have boarded share auto which i have mentioned the number in the company name from DLF to Guindy on[protected]. Normally these people would charge only Rs.10/- from there. But this has asked Rs.15 and using too many words. I have given Rs. 15. He has taken support from other share auto drivers also to whom i have travelled from DLF to guindy with the rate of Rs.10. Chennai transport authority has to take action against this. These peoples are chance takers and using rubbish words.

As I take the share autos frequently, I know the rates of the various stages. Guindy to Ashok Pillar-Rs.7, Pillar to Vadapalani-Rs.5 and if I get a direct auto from Guindy to Vadapalai, it is Rs.10.
I had this boarded into one auto last week. There were other passengers who boarded at Guindy(the same point from where I boarded). The stage from Guindy to Pillar is considered as one. So anyone who boards and gets down anywhere before Pillar has to pay Rs.7. There were 3 people who got down at the same stop. They asked how much ? The auto vala replied 8 each to two of them. The two people gave him the money and walked away. The third person did not notice this . He handed over a 20 rupee note to the auro vala and he got 10 Rs in return. He didnt complain either. I wondered what is wrong with the auto vala ad moreover, these people.They are not even arguing. I knew that my turn to get down would soon come. I took the chaneg of 10Rs and was ready to get down at my stop. On giving the 10 Rs, the auto vala told me tht its 15 Rs. i told him that I travel regularly and I know the price. He said that he charges Rs.15 everyday. I told him that he is not being honest, gave him the Rs.15 and walked off. He kept on following me to justify that his price is right. I didnt want to start an altercation. I silently noted down the auto number. TN02 AR 3954... Is there any law to prosecute such auto valas? This is not the first time I experienced such a situation.

In Sholinganallur i got into a share auto and got down at Paypal which is three buildings next to Dollar stop(accenture). I use to travel this way daily. Everyday they charge only Rs5. on Tue(30-Oct-2011) that driver charged Rs7 and when i asked why he is telling kudu di 7Rs. He was using bad words to a gal and old lady. Here all auto guys treat passangers without respect. They will treat passangers as a slave as if we are travelling on a free basis in his auto. All rouges they dont know to treat old people. They treat us on worst basis. Please bring a proper complain phone number where we can call and report this immediately. This will help us to have a safe travel. Especially for girls at night. Many drivers drink, smoke in auto while driving

It has been seen that share autos have come up in very large numbers in Chennai. They vary in size and shape, like the small 3 wheeler share auto, big 3 wheeler share auto, 4 wheeler meter taxi and tata magic. They overload, most of the times and drive very rashly. They don't care about the other users of the road. Almost all of them use adulterated fuel, causing thick black to be emitted. his is a major cause of pollution. Moreover, the drivers never switch off the engines, thus wasting fuel. They have their stands right in bus stops. They also park where ever they want to, without bothering about other people. Many stands are found in no parking places. They alight and pick up passengers right in the bus stops, as if the bus stand was built for them. Buses halt right in middle of the road because of these share autos, leading to traffic jams.
Is there nobody to question these stupid auto drivers?
