I visited the Sundaram Hospital at morning by 10.40 AM because of an accident in which my hands are bleeding and incurring blood loss. The person who attended first told me to first do the registration by standing in the queue. Later again when I went inside, they laid down me in a bed and again given another form to be filled. Till then they have not done the first aid. By 11.20 after all the formalities they did a quick dressing. I was bleeding all this time. Why can’t the hospital do all such formalities after a basic first aid or a dressing. It was such a inhuman act by the hospital.

Today I called in Sundaram Anna Nagar, they said to come in emergency due regular vomiting, dr Uma is our consultant doctor, I clearly said everything. After reached the hospital, they are telling no bed available, only covid patients side only bed available. my wife couldn’t even sit that much tired, I said them, I am working in Sundaram motor Ambattur. Please arrange bed in other area because already she is very weak. They are telling...

Staff is very rude while talking he's disconnecting the call in a very harsh manner
It has happened today spoke to Srinivasan (Head Insurance) He's very much rude to me, It's regarding the claim for my baby. He doesn't want to hear what's my problem. He's just telling the same thing what he knows, he's not bothered to listen to what the other person is talking. Not fit to be a head of insurance. Degrade his position or terminate him from the job. Lot of people are waiting outside for the job & they can give a proper service to the customers.

No Proper waiting Hall for the Attenders

Admitted my dear one in the Sundaram Hospital locateD in Anna Nagar for the treatment. We want 2 attenders to be in hospital With Patient. As per the COVID-19 protocol, hospital management allowed only one attenders and asked us to wait the other one in the Entrance of the hospital (Like an Government hospital) Open to sky where we don’t have any Basic facilities like restroom, water and so on. Very pathetic behaviour from the staffs. Felt very bad after paying so much.

Gynaecology department procedure

When a patient approaches for an appointment to a doctor, either the patient can be denied or given an appointment. In the name of having a walk-in clinic, the nurses/ receptionist ask the issue in front of everybody who stands in the queue. In spite of their behaviour, I said I directly want to see the doctor, they threaten us to say the issue. When I said that my lower abdomen pains with a swelling, the nurse decided by herself that I am pregnant and she is prescribing for heartbeat test. To all those who are reading this, I am a single parent with a 9 year old kid. This is the medical ethics this hospital has.
I fee now the women are well educated to say openly if they have come for pregnancy or not. The staffs should be educated to talk to the patients. Else this is what will be repeated to another woman who comes up with a problem.

worst pediatric staffs

Pediatrics doctors are amatures, hopeless, brainless. Even for emergency situation, trainee doctors/ nurses or doctors / nurses who are under training period used to handle the baby. As a result, they killed my baby.
So please don't take or admit your child/new born or anyone in sundaram medical foundation (Smf) hospital.
Even if your baby is in emergency condition, they will ask their trainees nurse/doctor or pg practicing doctor to handle your baby to give them more practice by keeping your baby.
If your baby/child health is in ok condition, then they will push it to critical or worst condition with the help of their brainless worlds most idiotic staff (Nurses, doctors).
So please don't take or admit your child/new born or anyone in sundaram medical foundation (Smf) hospital.
Even if your baby is in emergency condition, they will ask their trainees nurse/doctor or pg practicing doctor to handle your baby to give them more practice by keeping your baby.
If your baby/child health is in ok condition, then they will push it to critical or worst condition with the help of their brainless worlds most idiotic staff (Nurses, doctors).

ill - treat to patient

Some (Not all) junior doctors are worthless they only have to ask patient that medicine what they suit but no one asked, so we told pencillin type medicine not suits, allergy for patient but they didnt hear anything they inject pencillin group medicine. It makes patient severe itches top to bottom and she crying, screaming and later they put antidots, i (Attendants) asked whether it is pencillin or what? One junior told not at all, another one told "ya kind of pencilin group", so who i have to believe? First of all doctors could give some caution about the medicine what they injecting, it may or may not cause allergy for patient so then we mentally prepare for that but no motivation given to patient by junior doctor or nurse. They only give confident to us but no.. Killers.. Money making hospital.. Morning shift security man is worst, he treated attendants like animals, no respect given to anybody including patient.. And most thing ecg taking person is most worse didnt give respect or show sympathy to patient and he treated a patient (My mother) mannerless. Hospital must change the person immediately or else reputation suffers most. This hospital is only for influenced person.

very bad patient care-

If you love your parents and do not wish them to suffer, do not take them to smf hospital in anna nagar. There are some who call themselves doctors but are not worth this noble title. They have no clue as to what their patients are suffering from. They don't speak with clarity and will shout at you if you ask questions - by this i mean questions that a well informed, polite relative of the patient with a right to know may ask. One of the notorious guys is satyajit, who shouts if a concerned family member politely enquires about other treatment options, when the patient is not responding to multiple medications he prescribes. He not only speaks arrogantly but also taunts "if you know better take the patient with you and treat them yourself". He prescribes heavy dose of several medications and does not monitor its side effects.
One of the patient eventually developed stroke. The stroke was minor but the patient was kept in icu (Until another patient was available to fill the bed) and no measures were taken to prevent the deterioration of the patient's condition. Most of the doctors who do rounds in icu appear to have no clue about the patient's condition. The patient referred to here was losing eyesight and hearing and the stroke after-effect was quickly damaging other parts of the brain. Although the huge bills contain charges for consumables, the patient would lay there for several hours in soiled diaper, emanating foul smell. So much for the concept of patient hygiene in icu!!! The patients in icu are kept in pathetic conditions, and no immediate care is given to prevent further deterioration.in our experience, this guy satyajit does nothing but ruin his patient's health and it stems from his ignorance and arrogance. He even reprimands caretakers if they try to contact family members for patient care decisions. This guy should be dishonored and his license to practice stripped off. He should be allowed to treat only his own family members. Do not go to this guy if you are looking to get well and lead a normal life.

I am 8 month pregnant .yesterday i had worst experience.juniors doctor dont know how to behave with patients. Yesterday i went to ask doubts on my report.junior dr.sujatha in gynec walkin was shouting at us..she does nt know how to treat patients..even senior doctors all very soft...but this one junior from north india ..dont know know how to behave..she shouting you should not come to us for askin doubts...i hav never seen a doctor with...

Bad Hospital in the World

My Father has problem of Aspergillosis and in SMF we referred by pulmonologist and He request my father has undergone a endoscopy and sample of sputum has been taken on endoscopy and sent for culture test and the Stupid SMF lost the cuture sample after 45 days they are reporting and the hospital and pulmonologist never cared about lost sample and instead they blamed us that we are not co-operating the Doctor.
Then my great Pulmonologist is convening the Lab Technical(May be Female) for not to worry on lost sputum sample in front o[censored]s. Since my father has to undergone a Cateract Surgery we need the Concurrence from the Great Pulmonologist he blindly gave the no objection letter just to escape from the Problem. The Operation went on problem due to heavy Steroids suggested by the Pulmonologist but instead when we enquired him for the opinion he was speaking like Short term memory loss person that he never told to undergone an operation only he told to take operation after serveral Months and This Worst incident Of SMF hospital Has mentally affected my Father and Mother.
The Foolish SMF Hospital is great enough of refusing to Pay the lost Culture Sample Fees to us.
SMF You know what is the Meaning of Hospitality. Please dont spoil the Name Of Dr.Rengarajan and Mr.Sundaram,

House keeping service at SMF now a days seems to be not satisfactory in especially post operation ward. For example, one of my relation aged 75 years was admitted and operated for abdomen surgery and on request I was there for two days as attendant. As he was bed ridden and not able to move due to major surgery in the abdomen, he let out for call of nature in the bed. I reported this to the help desk but in vain and they said they will send someone to clean and at last one ward boy came after 45 minutes in-spite of our frequent calling, till then the patient was in the pool o[censored]rinal and motion. I very much disappointed for the careless attitude and behavior of help desk executives and moreover the maintenance of bath room and toilet is also very poor even though if we complained to the help desk about the condition of slippery and water stagnation in the floor. Hence, I request the higher authorities concerned, to create a good atmosphere in the minds of public and show good hospitality in the near future and keep the brand name SMF quite exemplary.
Poor Knowledge of Staffs
I myself and my wife went to SMF to check the cause for Short breath during the first trimester of Gestation. While providing the history, we already mentioned about the gestational confirmation which was confirmed with Blood and Urine HCG levels. Also we have mentioned that, my Wife is a doctor too. The hospital charged me almost 5 times the actual cost o[censored]PT kit and they wanted us to repeat the test though the blood level confirmation was there. We did that, and fortunately i was made to carry the preg card with its result. As i was eager, i just checked and worried that the results were invalid. We were made to wait for a long time and the hospital staffs didnt give me a chance to say the results were Invalid as there is only a TEST line in the UPT preg card. The staff came back to say that the result was Negative and my wife is not pregnant. This time was agitated a little and said the staff we have already confirmed about the pregnancy and the results which was given by them is Invalid. So, the staff went back to check with the doctor and she came back with a duty doctor who said, may be we need to come again tomorrow to check why the previous results were positive. i was totally frustrated and went back to the LAB to say the results were invalid and asked for repeat though the doctor and the staff did not asked for a repeat. The result was perfectly positive now, and when i rushed back to doctor who reviewed, i was questioned on why did i repeat the test. Later when i said the results were invalid as shown in the figures on the preg card, the doctor said she assumed the value is negative as it was showing only single Line. The Lab techinician didn't know what she gave as a result and even the doctor has not reviwed the result properly. It was very hard to digest a negative sign of pregnancy when it was confirmed several times earlier. As we were already educated and my Wife is a doctor, we knew the value is invalid and the test requires a repeat. What can a non medical patient do in these situation. This just means a miscarriage and the patient would have been given treatment to remove the foetus(abortion). The most irritating part was, the doctor never accepted the mistake and she answered that she can not do anything more and if i need i can chose better hospital and she was ready to accept that she is not doing her job. I have changed my plan on proceeding with SMF, and i am in search of hospital who cares more and also knowledgable. May be the Docs at higher level like Dr.Shantha in SMF have very good knowledge, but they will not be handling every patient. Hence, i would recommend not to take any risk with these duty Doctors who are so careless.

Yesterday was my worst experience with the Doctor of SMF. My wife is pregnant 8 months now and we are consulting SMF from our 5th month. But the Hospital has a very peculiar policy of waitlisting their patients who come for pregnancy. At the time of First appointment they told us we are waitlisted by the Hospital. Yesterday the Doctor literally threatened us that if we come on an emergency we will not be treated since we are waitlisted. Actually the Doctor was forcing us to get an appointment from another Hospital where the Doctor visits. The Doctor doesn't even talk about the Health of my Wife she was very keen on making us to go to the Hospital specified by her This is ridiculous that you have a idiotic policy and you people will threaten the patients that they will not be treated on an emergency. Why do you people have a Hospital when you don't treat Patients on an emergency. Absolutely Atrocious
I had the same experience as Viswa. My wife is 8 months pregnant now and we are consulting SMF hospital for her pregnancy since 3 months of pregnancy. The first time when we booked the appointment, we were asked about the due date and as if they checked against doctors calendar for availability. We consulted Dr.TARA until 8 months. But, all of a sudden today, during our visit today, doctor mentioned that we are waitlisted and they normally take only 25 people around the due date and we are 9th in the waiting list. We were shocked and speechless as we were not sure how to carry forward and if this has been informed by 3rd month when we first checked for appointment or consultation we would have not even considered to put a card in SMF. We believe if a doctor is assigned she will be there with us until delivery and even beyond, but they merely treated as if we are consulting for free. Worst experience ever. I guess they expect under the table dealing or whoever has taken over have/ might have moved up by paying extra cash... We literally had a feeling that we are in a railway counter trying to book tatkal ticket...
SMF is a very good hospital, good treatment, good housekeeping they are maintaining the 5S techniques

One of the worst hospital i have ever seen ...In patients are treated as animals. Same in case of my mother whose hospital ID was 70132.
I feel SMF is best for gynecologist.Right from 1st month of my pregnancy I consulted SMF.And doctors are really great and treated well.I was admitted in hospital during 8.5 month with water rupture and they really endangered me and my baby.Till my baby was out there was a continuous follow check up and finally my delivery was Normal.Even for my sister and cousin they treated well and made them to deliver to Normal..

On 7th Dec night I felt feverish. When got up on 8th Feeling terribly hot and giddiness. With great difficulty completed my nature-call. I was alone at home. So I went to the SMF hospital on 8th December 2015 ting taking an auto expecting I can get relief.
WOW. what an reception and treatment at hospital. After 45 minutes one duty doctor asked me what is the problem. With great difficulty I explained my condition. I also shown him, Id card from Royal sundram. he asked me get registered. Then with grate difficulty walked to the counter and got the registration done. Then I returned to the doctor and waited for 45 minutes for him to attend to me. he asked me wait. After that that I went to chair just ward. and sat on the chair at entrance to the consultation room. Then he asked to take blood test. I went to the lab with the support of some body in the verandah and gave blood sample and I paid for it.
Then he asked me to wait for bloodtest results to come. Then once again got back to the chair waiting. After that I lost my consciousness and do not what has happened.
Luckily while starting from home i telephoned to my sister that I am going to the hospital for treatment on an emergency.
She came searching for and found me lying unconscious on the verandah. After sprinkling water I got up and explained.
The we go the doctor to know the position. But to the surprise the doctor who earlier asked me to wait outside said that he thought that I have left the hospital. What a treatment!!!
After wait of another one hour the doctor prescribed Calpal and asked me go. But I told him I am feeling giddiness and temperature and how can I manage. He simply said you can go.
By the time it was 10am. Then I went to one clinic. the doctor seeing my precarious condition put me on the bed and administered some drips. By late night I returned home and continued the treatment at the clinic for 10 days to get partial recovery. I am still having some joint pains and weakness all over.
This is how the hospital is behaving. it only for rich and influential people. They call themselves as trust. This does not deserve a rating. Since minimum one star I have given it.

SMF Hospital is Money making services from people (POOR, MIDDLE, RICH CLASS), they always shows busy and houseful in rooms.
For Gynecologist these people treat well most of 90% pregnancy made them to deliver to Normal conditions. Since this is also business market mind to treat patient from birth to earn big Business.
Totally the hospital is service Oriental business, SMF Hospital in spoiling the names for Doctor's as well as Service.

We have consulted Dr:Tara for my wife second pregnancy, Apart from doctor she is one of the worst human being we have never met in our life time .
Please avoided SMF and especially Dr Tara .
Instead of going to SMF you can visit nearby government hospitals.
We had very worst experience with this lady and finally two days before delivery we forced to change the doctor and the hospital.

VERY BAD HOSPITAL-DONT SUGGEST ESPECIALLY FOR PREGNANT WOMENS. One of my friends sister was admitted for delivery, normal delivery only but staffs careless mistake the baby was died. No doctors available in labour, they left only one nurse in the ward, that ##### also very busy in phone call. My friend's sister was suffered in pain, the uterus opened & the baby came middle way. No one is there, heart beat reduced & baby died. Atlast they did cesarean & took the baby out. This was happened on 9th June 2017. Dear all as a well wisher am saying I don't wanna repeat this again for another women. That day for 5 delivery only one doctor was available. In government hospitals also they ll arrange doctors in correct time. We are paying money & loss for us only they won't bother about our pain. So try to avoid this hospital & share this with all your friends.

This is during my first Pregnancy,
I live abroad but know the rules and regulations of SMF, so I have called them during my first trimester and taken appointment for my 8th month visit.
When I first visited Gynic, she explained me the situation of labor ward. Every ward has a capacity, people on waiting list getting the space in labor ward is almost luck but no one there have delivered baby outside labor room.. .
Just before 3days of my due date had contractions and immediately went to labor ward. And my doctor asked me to immediately admit. I was not given room... We were just given space in another common room to just keep luggage and there was small bed for me to lay-down.
2days went with continuous checkups and walkings. 3rd day when my doc came to see me. She told today you will have delivery. And since the days are crossing my due date, she broke my water and put me immediately in the labor ward (As she managed to get a bed for me, which was previously not expected to happen).. then within few hours I delivered my baby Naturally.
Points to note
1. Since I pre-planned I was able to book the appointment.
2. And I know that hospital will not deliver your baby in the lobby or an a wheerchair !!!
(when I asked the doctor how will you manage. she told me all ladies(around 8) in the labor room will not deliver in the same time) so if the patient sitting outside is ready for delivery, then we bring her in to do the procedure. And in the final stage we need the room only for few minutes, not more than that. ) so things always are not planned.. just happens
3. Till baby delivered we were just waiting in small space in a common room which was not quite difficult. because my mom and husband are just taking turns for food and nap. They were busy chit chatting about baby future. After the delivery I told my husband, please get me the best room at SMF. I want to enjoy nowwww... Then he checked for best room. Which has space for 3 people to sleep, AC, TV, Fridge, Nice restroom. Wadrobe, Food delivery to Room for the guests. etc etc.. very nice and we loved the 2 days we stayed in that room.
So finally what I want had happened i.e. Normal delivery.
Just need to be understanding.. I have ended up with Rs 50, 000.
My friend who thinks SMF is not good choice, went to Apollo (ended up with C-section) and Rs2, 00, 000 bill..
So be Planned, Positive, Patience..
This is during my first Pregnancy,
I live abroad but know the rules and regulations of SMF, so I have called them during my first trimester and taken appointment for my 8th month visit.
When I first visited Gynic, she explained me the situation of labor ward. Every ward has a capacity, people on waiting list getting the space in labor ward is almost luck but no one there have delivered baby outside labor room.. .
Just before 3days of my due date had contractions and immediately went to labor ward. And my doctor asked me to immediately admit. I was not given room... We were just given space in another common room to just keep luggage and there was small bed for me to lay-down.
2days went with continuous checkups and walkings. 3rd day when my doc came to see me. She told today you will have delivery. And since the days are crossing my due date, she broke my water and put me immediately in the labor ward (As she managed to get a bed for me, which was previously not expected to happen).. then within few hours I delivered my baby Naturally.
Points to note
1. Since I pre-planned I was able to book the appointment.
2. And I know that hospital will not deliver your baby in the lobby or an a wheerchair !!!
(when I asked the doctor how will you manage. she told me all ladies(around 8) in the labor room will not deliver in the same time) so if the patient sitting outside is ready for delivery, then we bring her in to do the procedure. And in the final stage we need the room only for few minutes, not more than that. ) so things always are not planned.. just happens
3. Till baby delivered we were just waiting in small space in a common room which was not quite difficult. because my mom and husband are just taking turns for food and nap. They were busy chit chatting about baby future. After the delivery I told my husband, please get me the best room at SMF. I want to enjoy nowwww... Then he checked for best room. On last 25th August 2017 night at 11 PM we rushed to SMF hospital with my wife, since the senior Doctor in Raj Nursing Home, Mogappair said that he could not treat her Respiratory Track Infection. Even at this odd hours, the Emergency in SMF was active and accepted the patient for treatment. Only thing is that the first person in Emergency to enqure about the seriousnes / symptoms was a Staff Nurse and then only the jurion Doctors came and admitted in the Emergency Ward and started treatment. Having found that she was stable in condition, the Chief Doctor who came at 6-30AM examined and and admitted in the ward for further treatment. The attendants thee immediately shifted to ward around 8-30AM and started further treatment as advised by Chief Doctor Mrs(Dr) Girija, who has immense medical knowledge. The staff nurses, their subordinates were kind and attentive. For four days my wife remind in the hospital and the Nursing staff are by and large attentive. House keeping service at SMF now a days seems to be not satisfactory in wards; Even cockroaches are seen in the toilets and creeping outside in to the room. The ward boys and ladies are up to the mark. The worst experience is in the three be room wherein the middle bet has not provision for keeping the articles of patient and also no space to for the ATTENDENT of the patient who remain there for 24 hours. This is pathetic.
One of the worst thing in this hospital is that the Attendant and visitors of patients are treated as animals.by Guards/Securities who are drafted from AGNI Security Services.My worst experience with the Security Gurards //Staff of SMF very awuful. The do not allow Attendants with pass very easily and question them as in the jail premises.Even during Visitors hours, the Guards will allow visitors very easily with pass Every time the ATTENDANT moves up and down in the LIFT the Guards in service there question and examine the Attendant pass and after altercation they allow them inside the lift. They do not show consideration or respect to Senior citizens who remain in hospital in great difficulty. The misbehave, irritate them with hard words and show disrespect behavior When Attendant just move out of room and sit in the chairs veranda outside for relaxation, these guards come in group ( as if they are catching thieves) and drive all sitting in the chairs kept in the veranda and drive inside with hard words. Their inhuman behavior and humiliating patter thinking they are the custodian of the HOSPITAL throws mud on the image of hospital. THE HOSPITAL HAS FAILED TO PROVIDE SUITABLE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE ATTENDANTS IN THE THREE BED ROOMS TO RELAX (WHO REMAIN THERE FOR HOURS) FOR A WHILE. AT NIGHT ALSO THERE IS NO PROVISION FOR THEM TO SLEEP AND THEY ARE DRIVEN TO SLEEP NEAR THE TOILETS ON EITHER SIDE.
Thus SMF is a very good hospital, in giving good treatment, good housekeeping good technitnitions

The so called doctors in this hospital are well dressed male and female ####!!!

This hospital has no separate isolation ward they keep all dengue h1n1 positive patients together and hence. transfer to all of them they would suggest to wear mask but what about the newborn knowing the fact they accept these kind of patients just to make treatment longer and transfer to other patients.

appointments are booked in the interval of every 5 mins. But minimum each patient will take 15 mins to 30 mins.
so what is the purpose of booking appointments in 5 mins interval.
And don't ask any medical Explanations with doctors - they will start shouting all of the sudden for no reasons. they don't realize that patients pays them and coming for the consultation. they will think as if the patients are their servants kind of.
actually the worry is these issues very well spoils the name and legacy of this hospital.
Im sure current hospital management will not look into the issue and sort this. Because this is business mission for them. Not a people service mission
