Dear sir,

I am a retired defence officer, residing at eastwood, harlur road, bangalore 560102.
Post the completion of pipe laying work for cauvery water in my layout, i had applied online for the bwssb connection. Towards this end i have paid a sum of rs 34896.98 on 22 jun 19. My approved application number is 83664vs2. I am in receipt of the acknowledgement for the said payment. Subsequently the water meter (Sl. No 1679342) has been issued against my name. The layout had ngotiated with a bwssb authorised contractor (Mr. Prashant) to commision the meter fixing work for all residences at the rate of rs 13500 per residence. Since i was unaware of the break up of the said amount and also convinced that the cost was on the higher side, i spoke to other layouts in the vicinity and ascertained that the standard rate being charged for similar works was between rs 6000 to rs 8000 per residence. Armed with this knowledge, i opted out to get the work done from the layout employed contractor and instead hired another (Mr. Pritam) for rs 8000. I have also through mr. Pritam submitted an application requesting bwssb to transfer the meter and the said work to him and to effect this change in your record for all posterity. I am also willing to compensate mr. Prashant for any incidental expenditure incurred and inconvenience caused to him. However i am disheartened to say he is refusing to part with the meter, causing undue stress, frustration and harrasment to me. It pains me to face this situation despite having paid my relevant fees to bbmp. A contractor can hold the consumer and the system to ransome. How on earth are we ever to become a developd nation mired in corruption, nepotism and a nation full of petty dictators. I am raising this issue to the highest levels of the organisation in the fervent hope that there still exist people in this once great nation of ours with an iota of conscience. As a veteran soldier, it is my desire to see a corrupt free india before my last days.

Sir, I took a loan from DHFL on 07/2010 for Rs.611063/- At the time of sanctioning the loan, they have collected all the other charges separately and issued a cheque for the above amount.
