Address: Sonari, Jamshedpur
Dear Sir,
Patient name Runu Chowdhury age 77 yrs under employee of Tata steel was admitted in Tata main hospital at Jamshedpur on dtd.25/03/23, at medicine unit 3B ward bed no -47 .she was undergoing with the problem of IBD, UTi, deficiency in protein calcium, accordingly she was recovering to some extent from the issues from all urine output and but day on 10th April due to inserting of rice food pipe, it got delayed for inserting due to delay by ENT Dr the patient remain with no fluid no liquid diets improper nursing and remain same upto 24hr, her urine out put came down body got dehydrated with symptoms shaking hand, low BP and drousyness, that the Sr doctors so
called expert of TMH Dr..S K Panda & DR.Kunal (Sr consultant) of medicine department didn't taken it seriously the not able to identify the present symptoms of shaking hand and drousyness, Low BP and then they have done the CT of brain consulted to Neuro Dr where the report found no problem in brain CT, the neuro Dr diagnosis to elyspy for shaking hands and started the medicine of elyspy, when the patient responce got more poor then the department doctor take decision to transferred to the HDU unit where after proper investigation by the doctors of HDU department informed
us that patient got dehydrated badly their is no symptoms of elyspy, it ihas happen due to totally negligence if the patient would have shifted earlier we would have taken care of all, but we will try our lable best but patient is very badly destroyed and then after lot of effort HDU doctors could not able to save her Life on 13th April.
My question is When the patient was in critical with multiple problems was detected from the day first she admitted, why the Sr doctors has not shifted the patient to HDU (ICU) unit first .?? when patient was required proper nursing / special care.
At TMH for one nurse assignments is to look after for minimum 15 patients then how a patient will get proper care with poor nursing system..
Sr citizen they need some special care proper treatment / Diagnosis from doctors, instead of the Sr Dr SK Panda was asking from her sixth day to take her home in the her critical conditions.
This is the way TMH medicine some of bad elements of the Sr doctors like S K Panda Dr Kunal rather they need for better credibility from their management to maintain with minimum cost expenses and doing their practises for senior citizens.
ISir, I need compliance against the Sr Doctors named mentioned above for their vital mistakes and hence no senior citizens wii get proper treatment and could survived properly.
Earliest action for the above mentioned matter will be earniestly solicited.
Regards
S k Chowdhury

Address: Jamshepur, 831013
My husband met an accident was 23rd may admitted with ribs injury in tmh and first 3days he responded well but all of a sudden he was put on ventilation even without information... The doctors in hdu were confused as to wat medicine to given when. Due to rude behavior my husband cut the ventilation code twice. And after questing they gave him heavy dose of sedative medicine from where he could not recover.. They on 8th june did a surgery tracestomy which killed himm..10th morning we were informed he had two cardiac arrest when he had already died...
My husband had given hand written notes stating the doctors r talking bad about the family n him attaching the same
I strongly believe he was compelled to death
We were looted with 6lakh in 15days and our patient was killed
My question how can dis so call doctors do this

worst treatment
Address: East Singhbhum, Jharkhand, 832001
TMH is very bad hospital in terms of its doctors and services too. My father got fracture in leg and he was admitted to TMH. His leg was bleedingg badly from 2pm to 8pm after that he was taken to operation threater. Till 8pm they were just saying that no OTs are vacant. After the operation was completed by Dr. Vinod Singh clamps and rods were implanted for recovery. After 15 days my dad was discharged and we went every month for checkup and recovery test. The doctors told that it would take time every time when we visited to them. After 6 months they told that we have to do one more operation. When we asked why they told bone has not joint yet. We decided to take him to CMC VELLORE. Docttors of CMC examined and told that the case was made complex by doctors and somehow they managed to make my dad walk on his legs after 6 more months. This 6 months was total waste of time which we had spent under the supervision of TMH.

Death due to lack of proper treatment and negligence
Address: 831011
My father met with an accident on 19th april, 2016. He suffered tremendous leg injury and head injury. He was in conversation with me for 1 hour after being admitted to the hospital (He was talking). After that he was taken for x-ray of his legs without ct scan of his head which was bleeding. After x-rays, he was left unattended for almost 3-4 hours, saline was over, heart line became straight. My family members, called staffs several times, but nobody listened. Finally, my father gave up the fight and left us. My mother too was in that accident and had leg fractured. She wasn't provided a ice bag for the 2nd time. On asking for ice bag, they replied that they only had 1 ice bag in the whole hospital. They also plastered wrong portion of her leg which we got to know after one month when we moved to a private clinic as the pain didn't reduce even a bit.
Had proper treatment and care been taken at that time, my father would have been alive and my mother better than before, both physically and mentally.
There are several more patients being treated unfairly and with utter rudeness.
Please look into this issue with high priority as some people have made it their passion to play with patient's lives.

Death due to gross, reckless and criminal negligence.
Address: New Delhi, Delhi, 110074
My younger brother, late vishal chand, aged just 33, who was working as assistant manager, finance with timken india, jamshedpur in jharkhand rushed to the emergency ward of tata main hospital with his driver, biju in the night of 20th may 2011 (10.30 pm) after experiencing chest pain and uneasiness.
2. At the emergency ward, vishal met dr. Atul chhabra who recorded his bp, did an ecg and administered two injections, buscopan, a pain relieving anti spasmodic and rantidine.
3. Vishal’s bp was found to be elevated (150/100), his ecg had major irregularities, as later testified through affidavits by three renowed doctors (On record in court). My brother was obese and we have a family history of cardiac death. My father had died of myocardial infarction in 1991 when he was only 44.
4. Dr. Chhabra did not probe the family history and ignored all major symptoms (High bp, ischemic changes in ecg, obesity and uneasiness) of an impending cardiac arrest and mis-diagnosed the ailment as hypertension with acidity. He recommended tablet alprax (Sleep inducing tabs) at bedtime for 3 days and tab rantac 1*2 (4 tabs) to be taken for 2 days and then follow up in medical opd (On record).
5. Vishal went to office the next day (21st may 2011), experienced chest pain again at 10 am, asked his colleague to rush him to another hospital (He was not satisfied with his visit to tmh the previous night) but before he could meet a doctor, he suffered a severe cardiac arrest, collapsed and died at the opd.
6. Post mortem was conducted the following day (22nd may 2011) and the final p. M report confirmed death due to myocardial infarction (M. I) (Cardiac arrest).
7.in the last one and half year, i have not been able to lay my hands on the true copy of mbbs degree certificate of dr. Atul chhabra, who is still employed with tata hospital.

VERY BAD SERVICE AND TREATMENT
Address: East Singhbhum, Jharkhand
My brother admitted on 29/10/2010 due to spine injury and he has paralysis in his leg and partial paralysis in hands. Then he was able to respirate and talk smoothly. Dr. F B singh said that he had to implant plates by operation as early as possible. Operation was postponed on 1st november, 2010 due doctor was on leave on sunday. Before operation a doctor said to me that he might been taken to CCU for 4-5 days and it would cost Rs.10000/- per day. I said "ok". After operation he was able to respirate. He was taken to CCU on 1st Nov. after operation. On 2nd Nov morning when all family members are at home and my brother's friend was there the hospital authority had decided to shift him in ward without taking any consent from us and at CCU noticeboard on 9:30 am, 2nd Nov updated my brother's condition was critical. We were happy becoz he was transferred to ward but by afternoon he was feeling uneasy in breathing. We complained it to doctor he swiched off his mobile and not taken any action we were panicked and phone to GM of the hospital and finally doctors came after 4 hours and my brother had been taken to CCU and he was taken on ventilation. From next day doctors' started cursing one Dr.Majumdar said that my brother was never able to walk "uske jeene ka kya fayda"(His life is without value). Whenever i asked him technical question about my brother health their replies were cursing only. After 28 days on ventilation almost and Rs.3-4 lac spent and listening such statement we decided to take risk and decided to shift to Cuttak. On 29th Nov on ventilation we had shifted the hospital authority had not given MRI report and other report the then i was not there. My old aged father went with ambulance to Cuttak when doctor from Cuttak want to talk to Dr. F B Singh he swiched off his phone and he denied to talk. Amazingly ventilation was removed on 2/12/2010 in Cuttak. Doctors of Tata Main Hospital made money from us, we are a middle class family we have taken loans and credit for paying bills and doctors of TMH have done duty of recovery agent only. During CCUperiod in TMH by listening such cursing word my brother tried cutting his ventilated pipe several times. Doctors provoke him to do sucide. These are doctors? and when i was going to Resident Medical Officer for estimate he said it would take 3-4 days b'coz his typist was on leave i[censored] want now u have to go to personal department and arrange a typist. What a funny management he and TISCO's Hospital is unable to arrange a typist.I have seen dengue patients thsoe who are non-employees are 10-20 days in CCU b'coz they(Hospital) are earning from them. This is big Hospital in Jamshedpur. But is it a Hospital?

I completely agree with Mukesh who had posted the bad service at TMH. I had a similar experience in which the concerned doctor was quite rude. When someone goes to a doctor, he at least expects a little care and concern from the Docs side. Here I found none of that. The doctor was arrogant and stomped around his cabin with anger when I requested him for some advice. I will not take names here but this is surely not the way to treat a patient. A person who trusts you completely and is ready to get operated by you. I accept the fact that TMH is probably overcrowded and short staffed but still a little care from the doctors side does help. I have respected the TATAs all my life and as a resident of Jamshedpur know the services that they provide to the public in general. Still this experience has left a bad impact on the way I used to think about the Hospital.
What I really am angry about is that the Doctor treats you like he is doing you a big favor.

Hi, I am fully agree with you. We also had a very bad experience with TMH. Even the patient was employee of Tata Stell itslef. My Father was admitted in TMH 2-3 times in past one year for the same type of issue. Everytime TMH doctors advised for Blood, xray, ultrasound test etc. But after all the tests while asking for an update they were saying everything is fine. no any problem at all. but in the blood test clearly its showing the all enezymes levels were not in the range. after that in jamshedpur other hospital we visited and the found the problem with the same type of diagaonis process and the suggested for urgent surgery. Already i asked question to TMH admin team that why not their doctors were able to find out the issue. they don't have skills. why they playing with the life of person? we need to pulish the TMH great work in every where so that the maximum person know about the TMH culture.
TMH is the only higher centre at Jharkhand. Majority of high risk patient rush to TMH. I think TMH catering very good services inspite of limited resources. It is not possible any where to satisfy every one.
I M.P.N. Nair, Ex-employee of Tata Steel would like to bring to your kind notice that my wife Late Valsala Nair was admitted on 31st December, 2012 in ward no. 7B for the treatment of Viral pneumonia ( as informed by the doctors). She was shifted to the Intermediate Care Unit on 2nd January, 2013 with the complaint of Pulm. Oedema. She was under treatment of Dr. Sangitha Kamath and Dr. Amarpreet Paul in 7B ward. Whenever we approached the above referred doctors to know about the condition of the patient, their attitude was very casual. We never got proper reply from them. On 8th January, 2013 she was again shifted to the ward from the IMCU and she was discharged on 11th January, 2013. On 12th January, 2013 inspite of being brought to the Emergency in an unconscious state, she was not admitted to the ICU. From 12th January, 2013 onwards she was under the treatment of Dr Niraj. I am sorry to state that being a doctor by profession his behaviour was very rude and arrogant towards the patient and the patient’s relatives ( e.g. just before being shifted to the ICU on 21st January, 2013 when she was gasping for breathe, in Hindi he told her to close her mouth else insects would enter her mouth. He also said that she was normal and was just acting. Minutes later Dr. B.S. Rao saw her condition and advised to shift her to the ICU where she passed away on 24th January, 2013). From 14th January, 2013 Dr. Niraj was experimenting with my wife’s condition and had a very unprofessional approach (e.g. when her condition was deteriorating, my son approached him to attend the patient but he misbehaved with him). I saw my wife suffering and struggling for life in this hospital day by day.
I am sorry to state that the treatment given by the doctors and the behaviour of the nurses has gone down from bad to worst. They were reluctant to provide medication when it was desperately needed. It was the same hospital where my daughter’s 7th month baby survived nine years back. From the day my wife was admitted she kept on telling us that she will not survive because she felt that the treatment given and the approach of the staff was not at all caring and irresponsible in their approach (especially during night shift).
I hope you will take necessary measures to help built patient and their relatives’ confidence by giving proper treatment for any type of cases. Even though for us it is being a permanent loss which can’t be compensated in any way.
M.P.N. Nair

TMH is the worst private hospital I have ever visited. The doctors and other staff are very rude and insulting towards patients and their relatives. More ever they totally lack the desired knowledge and skills needed for their profession. I would advise that if you want to live never visit TMH or your days are over.
The worst hospital in India and the world.
The worst hospital in India and the world.
The medical profession is supposed to be one of selflessness and humility. As a kid, I aspired to become a doctor just listening to stories or reading books of doctors who were treated next to God. However, my recent experience has shattered all these notions.
My mother was admitted for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy(lab chole). The first thing that strikes you is the sheer negligence of the nurses. There are patients screaming around when trainees are made to inject, or an old lady lying in her own bed o[censored]rine, while the attendant is no where to be found. The AC is at its minimum, and no one is around to modify the temperature. Patients are shivering, constantly requesting, but in vain.
Secondly, is the attitude with which the nurses or sometimes even doctors on rounds answer to your queries. On one hand, they put up boards stating that a patient is entitled to question the staff regarding medication or any other query regarding his/her medical condition. While on the other hand, they ignore your questions or answer them in the briefest way possible. When I requested to consult the doctor after my mother's operation was over, I was told that since my relative had already met him once, there was no need of consulting him again.
On the day of discharge we were told that even though the formalities would start in the morning, it would be mid afternoon by which she could be discharged. Strangely, no one kept us updated on the progress. It was only around 2 when I went to the sister's room to check on the status, I was told the bills have already been sent to the counter. Isn't it basic decency to keep the patient's family informed?
Overall, it wasn't the best experience that a patient can recollect. A middle class family struggles a lot to make ends meet, and when they do spend amounts that burn a hole in the pocket, they at least expect to get a fruitful return. You tend to lose faith in humanity and the medical profession when you go through such situations.

I shri Joy Banerjee working in Karim City College admitted in JGMH in ward 2A on 15.05.2017 for total thyroidactomy under the surgeons Dr.AshisKumar and Dr. Prasanna Dora and I think they are outstanding oncosurgeons and an asset of TMH. I felt there very comfortable. Service of nurses towards the patients were outstanding specially Sister Aprna, Sushmita who were kept total care on me.
Only the discripency is found in the area of cleanliness and AC systems. Please modify them and rest is ok.
Thanks to the management of TMH.

The TMH is worst than any Govt Hospital & it should be banned immediately.
We had been admitted in TMH on 19.08.2018 as our car had been hit by one HIBA truck at Kandra Toll gate while we are going to Ranchi from Ghtasila. The following are incidents which shows how careless are the Doctors & nurses:
1. My wife had a deep cut in the head and the stich is done very unprofessionally which had been e-stiched in Ranchi.
2. The wrinkle of my wife got fractured and they done it simply old type of heavy plastering which is very heavy & burden to the patient. The same had been re-plastered after operation at Ranchi as the bone was dislocated.
3. Moreover they are unwilling to release my wife which had been taken care by Secretary, Govt of Jharkhand.
4. The Doctors & nurses are behaving as if they are doing favours to the patients. I have never seen the Doctors & nurses like this in my entire life.
It is my sincere request to all concern/patients not to visit or recommend to TMH, Jamshedpur.
If any body from management or Hospital authority concern want to debate/discuss I am ready & will be exposed with documentary evidence to the press.

1.My brother died of gross, reckless and criminal negligence by a scamster and a licenced quack, Dr. Atul Chhabra employed by Tata Steel at TMH in 2011 . He was then employed as Senior Surgeon-Casualty. My brother had rushed to Emergency Ward late in the night of 20.05.2011 with complaint o[censored]neasiness and chest pain and a family history of death of father from heart attack. My brother's BP was recorded as 150/100 ( high) and his ECG was highly abnormal .But the licenced quack, Dr. Atul Chhabra neither admitted him nor referred him to a cardiologist despite 6 symptoms of heart attack. The scamster quack misdiagnosed the ailment as hyperacidity and asked my brother to return home from emergency ward in the night. My brother suffered a heart attack next day in the morning and died.
My appeal with MCI to revoke the licence of the scamster is pending since 2013. A final decision is still awaited. MCI's 2014 decision of warning and 2016 recommendation to suspend the quack's licence for 6 months was set aside by Delhi High Court in 2017.
Criminal case is pending in Jamshedpur court . Consumer case is in the final stage at NCDRC, New Delhi.
The admission record to MGM Medical College, Jamshedpur shows that the licenced quack was admitted to MBBS course under CBSE 15 % QUOTA on basis of CBSE AIPMT 1989 whereas Ranchi University records his admission under State PMT ( Bihar MADT Exam, 1989) . Do i need to say more ?
