My female friend and I were going by bike when we were caught by traffic police van today for being without helmet, near BMH hospital, at around 1.45pm. (no. g-7005).

The person asked for Rs.100 and asked us to stop, till everyone leaves. Then he shouted and asked for our vehicle keys. we were having licence and if we are not paying fine, ideally he should have taken the license (which was shown to him). Since both o[censored]s were north indians, we were having language problem. 5-6 traffic policemen were there and one of them was talking to us in English when other people were there. But after that they asked us to wait, knowing that we were not knowing the language, misbehaved with us,and tried to snatch keys from us. Also, from main road, vehicles were forced to take turn inside the road, where we could not seek any help.
Few questions need to be answered:
1. Why they tried to take our keys? when license was available. what is the procedure?
2. Why can't they note our number,and do further proceedings, rather than misbehaving with girls?
3. There were two more girls who were not having license, but were wearing NCC uniform. No fine was taken from them. and when we asked, we were told that they have taken their documents. why same procedure was not followed for us.

Street blocked due to wrong parking
This is Abhinav Gill , staying at DDA MIG Flats Madipur, New Delhi. Just in front of our society we have a 2-way main road by the name of Shiv Mandir Road. One lane is blocked by illegal parking on both sides of this road. Driving through the blocked lane is a nightmare as very less space is available. Also people taking U-turns face huge problems as due to vehicles parked on the other side block the view for drivers. I request to concern authorities to do needful and help us.

Few min back, just while a drive from home a traffic police station is behind my house. while crossing the station a police man just blocked my vehicle and told just go to the station and give me your bike key. i stopped my vehicle near the station and he came and took my bike key and said "Go and see the Inspector". I meet the Traffic Inspector he asked the document's and license. i have document's but i lost my driving license 1 week before. But i have the xerox only. i have the license no but he refused to accept it. He charged the spot fine of Rs. 400. He has not given me a clear reference for the Notice. I want to know penalty for driving without license. My CASH RECEIPT FOR SPOT FINE No is : 8944992 and Charge Sheet no: 6048767. Dated 2/11/2012. Place: Newtown 5th Cross, Via Alangayam Road, Vaniyambadi-635751. why i mentioned this because he has mentioned the violations more than one. any suggestion regard this.? This is to complain about traffic police, who is harrasing people for un-necessary reason and putting penalty on highways. I were traveling with my family from Delhi to Agra. Traffic police stopped us just before Hodal toll plaza. They asked us to show car papers and we provided all asked documents, when they found all documents OK, then they started saying that your car is having film on the screen and as per Supreme Court, you should not have any film. We were telling them this is NOT black dark tinted film, from which u can't see inside, it is just a film and from around 50 meters also, we were able to see my family inside car very clearly, but they were not ready to listen and they cut the challan under offence 58 (use of dark tinted film/window glasses light transmission >70% front/rear or >50% sides), without listening and was repeating that go to Supreme Court, if you want to say something. Un-necessary, they are harassing many people and looting money. They took INR1000 for that challan, whithout providing proper justification of Challan and kept our car RC. Since we were trying to find out proper reason, traffic police officer didn't listen and was threatening us. we finally paid INR1000 as they were threatening for un-necessary reason and telling us to go to court. Traffic Police is very rude and threaten people. Police inspector was Shri Chand and Police Van reg is HR68 7623.

Also there is a police station Mundkati, after Hodal Toll Plaza. They also do un-necessary checking.

Please do something otherwise these people will loot all people.

Sir/Madam,
I have faced a problem with Traffic Police in Junagadh city while going by car with family. There hasn't been any clear cut rules and regulation defined - for charges taken by Traffic police for LMV. They generally check for -
1. Registration of Vehicle - which is an essential part.
2. Licence - also an essential part.
3. Insurance of Vehicle - semi essential because today there are a number of vehicles which run even if life expired.
4. PUC - semi essential as it is given without any real assessment.
5. Glass color - not essential because does not make major difference.
So, I have produced 1 to 3, but failed to provide 4 and 5.
The ASI on-duty has asked to pay the penalties. I denied to pay. Without any further communication, he has tried to detain the vehicle at the place of examination. Then after several "request-sorry-excuse" (Situation like surrender), he left me by paying the penalties.
So, is it fair to face this situations without having enough information display "ON Boards/Advertisement/Hoardings" at proper sites ?
I hereby ask you to reply the email and if possible do needful in the matter.

I have to point out that the Wockhardt Hospital at Shankarnagar Square Nagpur is creating traffic jams and traffic hazards for the commuters going to Amabazari Layout, Gandhinagar,LAD Square etc. The visiting hours for the friends and relatives of the patients admitted in the hospital are from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pmm, i.e. the timing when most of govt. dept staff, bank staff return to their homes after office hours. The visitors park their two wheelers in front of the hospital and they sometimes remove the already parked vehicles and keep them in the road area beyond yellow strips and cause congestion to the fast traffic on the route. Sometimes visitors come by four wheelers and open the doors on the wrong side therey causing a great risk of accident to passers by. I therefore request the traffic police to take up the matter with hospital authorities to provide adequate space for the two wheelers/four wheelers of the visitors coming to meet patients in the hospital and post a constable in front of the hospital to avoid wrong practices of parking the vehicles and opening ther doors of four wheelers on the wrong side.

Hi, Myself harikrishna, My bike number is AP28 BJ8276 -- Pulser 150cc.
In the month of April 2010 i received notice from RTA regarding the "triple riding" (also the old one "with out helmet driving").
I paid that violated rule amount in the next month itself. After that i paid another challan in tirumalgiri e-seva center for another violation.
There after so many times traffic police was checked in the machines also they did not find any challans.
Today all of the sudden some traffic police stopped and saying that u have two unpaid challans.
The stupid thing here is "that was the same challans( triple riding n helmet)".
i remembered the month n year very well because in the same month(may 2010) i got married. My cousine that triple riding mistake in April 2010.
I don't have the old receipts its almost 2 years back, who will keep that old receipts?
I am requesting u people to update the system correctly n please don't repeat this kind of stupid things.

I have one complain against the traffic police standing at Noida GolfCourse chowk below the metro station line.They are simply standing a side shaking there hands .Although that is a dangerous place to cross the road by vehicle, but traffic police standing there don't control the traffic.

Please,take action on this serious issue.

From the road which starts for Chandivali Film Studios/Lok Milan/Nahar, you see unauthorized Trucks and Taxi's being parked and cleant daily. This becomes a Traffic nightmare esp in the evenings. On 27 Nov'2011, the DP Road (going towards Nahar from Lok Milan) had trucks on either side which made traffic move at snailpace.

From being a calm and quite neighbourhood, today the Chandivali and esp the DP Road area is a nightmare as far as vehicular traffic is concerned.

My driving license was confiscated by 2 policemen on the MG Road-Brigade Road junction on 25th August, 2011. Although I had crossed Brigade Road entrance, they stopped me saying I jumped signal, which was a false allegation. I resisted from paying Rs.100 which they were asking for. I asked for a ticket which I can contest in a court, which the policemen refused to provide. The policemen forcefully confiscated my driving license (KV/1388/2001 - Abhishek Rhisheekesan) and was even threatening to confiscate my car keys. Kindly help me in retrieving my driving license. My name is Aruna.R Iam a proffessional working in Bangalore . I have my office at langford gardens opposite teh hockey stadium. i park my car right opposite my office on the road at allocated parkling lot. last evening as i was about to get back home i noticed that my car number plate ( front) was broken- it was obvious that someone has deliberately tried tampering with it , as there were no scratches / dents around the number plate area.
i drove down towards richmond Circle to turn back on residency road , when a traffic cop caught me and forced me to pay a fine for faulty number plate , even after i had explained what had happened. He was arrogant and told me that I must pay 100 rs fine regardless of whatever the case was and said he would give me one day's grace period ( like he was doing me a great favour) to get my number plate rectified.
I put my foor down and insisted that i will not pay any fine for something that was not in my control- but he wouldnt give up. So i was forced to go to the senior officer Mr.Nanjappa Gowda, who fortunately ( spoke english) and asked me to calm down and let me go without paying fine. Meanwhile , his subordinate (ironically whose name plate on his shirt was not clear , therefore i do not remember his name).. kept insisting to the senior office even then that i should be fined , just coz his ego was hurt real bad. I left from there immediately.
He has nevertheless taken a note of my car number and my driving license details.
Now I will not at all be surprised if these guys are going to send me a challan home one day.
Kindly help me.. in sucha situation , where can i complaint about this kind of misbehaviour and recklessness from a traffic cop , who himself has not maintained his name plate on himself properly!

I Mr. Abhijit Sutar, was going to my office today morning at 9.00 am, & was caught by a homegaurd at delite chowk, due to non wearing of helmet.
I accepted my mistake & agreed to pay the panelty. The homegaurd told to the Traffic Police standing aside the road to prepare the Memo.
During the Traffic Police was preparing the memo, I saw many of people driving two wheelers nearest to the homegaurd without wearing helmets, and the homegaurd was allowing them to do the same.
I told this matter to the Traffic Police, but he tole me, "We will catch them, first you complete this work."
In that period the homeguard stopped a rider without helmet but let him go.
I show this matter to the traffic police, but he replied me, "He is going to the doctors." (How does he know that the rider was going to the doctors while he was about 15 feets long from us ?)

When the homegaurd came back to us the traffic police asked him, "Why did you let him go?" Then he replied, "He is just going to the nearest hotel."

Now I want to know, Why the same rule is not applicable for all?

My Self Manjudas Madhavan residing in kalyan was driving my bike from Shriram talkies road to Katemanivali(Kalyan east). Inbetween there was a traffic checking which was happening at the octroi naka aside Vithalwadi Station. I was asked to wait to show my documents. I showed all my documents.I had a photo copy of my driving license as last week i lost my wallet in train for which i did an FIR . I showed the copy of the FIR also to the officer. The officer was convinced with all the document shown by me and he asked me to pay a fine of Rs 100.00 as i was not wearing a helmet. I agree to pay the fine. I was asked to go to the police jeep for taking a receipt of Rs 100.00 and to pay the fine. When i approached the senior officer who was sitting in the jeep, to take the receipt he asked me to pay Rs 200.00 . I asked him that i was said by the traffic Police to pay only Rs 100.00 for the fine of not wearing a helmet.The officer sitting in the jeep got irrate and started saying me that now you have to pay a fine of Rs 700.00 as you did not had the original license.When i again informed him about the license issue he took Rs 100.00 from me and did not issued me a receipt for the same.When i again asked for the receipt he threatened me with dire consequence and i was forced to leave the place with no receipt.

Sir i want strict action to be taken on these officers who play with the system without any fear .Also by when corruption would be completely washed out from our system .

I was taking my newly purchased bike for RTO passing. It had Temporary number given by the dealer and i was also carrying my Driving license along with purchase receipt.Dealer asked me to drop the vehicle for RTO passing at his shop. The traffic police stopped me and asked me about vehicle papers. I explained him that i am taking it for RTO passing with the dealer.But he is not ready to listen and threaten to charge me Rs.1100/- for not carrying papers. He took Rs.400/- from me illegally and has not given me any receipt.When i asked for the receipt he threatened to charge me 1100 or may be more than that if i want receipt. I paid him 400 as i was not in the position to give him 1100 or more than that.
I really want government to have control over these officials.This kind of harassment should be stopped.IF the person is giving genuine reason like RTO passing and showing the purchase receipt then they should consider that.These kind of bribery cases are increased in Dombivali area and it should be stopped immediately and action should be taken.

Friends even i had suffered from harashment of trafic police.One of such traffic policeman(so called gundaas in khakhi)...caught me at IFFCO chowk becoz i was in my car and by mistake i was 6-7 feet ahead then normal standing.this happened because there were two red lights and i was confused which one to follow.i was going gurgaon for the first time.but when i knew i did mistake was was stepping back to come to normal position.
Then a criminal(traffic police) came to me ,and asked me to park me the car aside,and demanded for Rs500 as bribe.I told him to take Rs200 and leave me as i was going for an important interview as hewitt associates.the charges of crossing the red light is Rs100(set by government).but he was not ready to take Rs.200 and insisted for 500.nad then in frustation,he made the chalan.The chalan was for Rs.4100.
Just imagine,what a heavy cost i had to pay for not paying the bribe.The government has found this way of looting common people,becoz they are not satisfied even after doing so much corruption.they are looting our so much valuable money.beoz i was in hurry,so i could,nt see the name plate of that policeman,but yes i have the xerox copy of that chalan only to take any further action against him.
I suggest to other also,that if similar things happened to you also,just be brave at that time of incident,take down the name of the police man or take his pic by any cam or ur mobile and just register a complain at

I am resident of paschim puri and working with Dr.B.L.Kapur Memorial Hospital, Pusa Road as an Co-ordinator, Marketing, i had an injuery in my right leg three weeks ago and my brother was taking me to the hospital for consulation with my doctor today but at around 11:00 am Mr.Kanwar Pal Singh, Traffic inspector, Rank No.2.0 P.M.C. stopped me at metro pillar no 198 (Patel Nagar) and asked my brother to produced the driving license alongwith the other documents of the car after showing all the paper he force fully challaned him under section 184 (using of mobile phone). This is to inform you that he was not using any mobile phone on that time but was itching his right hear, we requested him that their must be any misunderstaing with him as we had showed him our phone record also, that we were not using mobile phone while driving but regret to inform you that the inspector did not listen to us and challaned us as per his own will. When i requsted him to cancell the challan and leave us he started threating us and was trying to beat me but was under controll after intervention of the people walking on road side.

Kindly help us in this regard as we had punished wrongly, we also made an complaint to Delhi Police at 100 but they also showed their inability and left us with no result.

Please justice us and fine the right person who are wrongly using their power on the people.

I am a resident of Anepalya, Bangalore 560030, where as the Main road is fully pack due to private vehicles parked both the side of the road. When I complaint against this, the Traffic Police not responded and they are taking bribe from the shop owners and action not taking. Due to the vehicles parked on that road movement of vehicles are very slow and people fought each other.

There are vehicles parked and left there it and no one is there question them because traffic inspector will come and take monthly and daily bribe also during evening there are some small fast food and vegetable shops kept open.

Apart from this some of the shops like welding, refrigerator and Auto and Car garage extended their shops on footpath and there belongings lying on the roads.

I request you to take necessary action so that resident of that area can stay peace fully and there should not be any more fight.

myself and my brother was driving 2 wheeler from nungambakkam to mylapore( Chennai). when we r in woodlands hotel on d way TO HOME , suddenly a trafic police from bike told us to stop us in corner. as he said, we stopped there at bus stop near to wodlands hotel.Traffic police stop us and challan us for said that "you cross red light".

But we cross green light and other vehicles are also with us. he said we didnt stopped at red signal, but im sure that we cross that signal wen ther is Green light only.we thought he try to pluck money from us. the traffic police threatning us he goin to fin huge amount, he suddenly bring my brother to corner of the street , he take all the amount from him. and also he using abusive words to us continiously. It's all my blood I'm spending to earn a single penny. . but i want justice that "I cross green light" not red light.
these "traffic police empolyees " same do with other persons to and there is no government law to handle our goverment employees?

The traffic condition at the Hapur Chungi main red light near ALT centre have become worse than ever before. The police (traffic police) is just like a puppet standing their and no control has been seen from their side...irregular line clearing and misuing the authority has been a common problem for the civilians. The traffic incharge is actually stnading their looking for bribes for 15 Rs 20 Rs. This is a request to the SP.Traffic police Ghaziabad that Sir please make a surprise visit to the mentioned position and look what is happening after 5:30 and 6:00 PM....the traffic policement insults and abuses us when we dropped down to complaint for this unlawful behaviour. The city is ours and we have to do something to make it remove the long traditional tag of a crime city and a city where law is just a toy that is being played with at every next turn.

Just after the Toll bridge after Dudu on the way to jaipur. The Traffic police embarass the outside peoples and asks bribes even if the we have full documentation of our Car, liecense, RC,Insurance etc. This is the third time in a year they charged me 1000 Rs.

told me to pay rs100..wen i demanded bill he said ,actuall charge for this penalty is rs300 and dint give me the bill.This policee is roaming all day these days and collecting bribe from all people....catch him if anyone in govt can.

Suggestion:I suggest you to start sending fines/challans to those vehicles that emit a lot of smoke and there by causing air pollution

Personal Experience: I have memorized the registration numbers of those vehicles that emit smoke and i tried to complain to the R.T.O but i didn't get any response as they wanted photo proofs and how can i stop in the middle of the road and take pictures? Today I spoke...

I'm Nishwanth and I have to travel daily from Whitefield to Abbigere(Chikkabanavar Post) via versa. And today while coming back from whitefield i too few short cuts which lead to other side of tin factory flyover which goes to hebbal, So while coming from CV Raman Nagar i have to take left to go on flyover, but without notice i went further and stopped my vehicle and thought for a while and took U-turn and please note this point sir, I was down the vehicle and was pushing down my vehicle in no entry road came back to reach the flyover turn. There one traffic police stopped me while walking down with my vehicle he took the bike keys and he is forcing me to pay fine, when i asked why he said no entry( i wonder even walking down with vehicle) we need to pay fine or what? This buggar traffic police asked me to pay fine and speak in the court, I felt very very bad about our Indian traffice police, I wonder they are there to make money or to maintain traffice, I was innocent in this case and was helpless paid fine to him. I want to lodge a complaint about traffic police at lohgarh chowk in amritsar. today in moring at 8:30 i have witnessed one road accident at lohgarh chowk and it was happend because of our careless traffic police. first of all my rickshaw puller crossed red light and no one botherd to stop him after 15 seconds that accident happend ..Really i have witnessed that accident and that was o terrible.I want to bring in you kind notice that all...

Yesterday (27/08/10) we were in Kochi city and we were stuck in a traffic jam. We asked a police constable, for directions to a particular place. he told us he will tell us the way and told us to drive to a particular place, near Jos junction on MG Road, Kochi. The sub inspector of traffic police was there, then this constable accused us of causing traffic block and fined us for no reason.

We are giving this complaint as this police constable fined us for no reason. we was just abusing his power. We would would be grateful to you if you look into this matter.

Indian traffic is out of control. There is no any safe rules. Police do not work properly. They don't stop over speeding, they don't care about careless driving, there is lane violation everywhere. In most vehicles there is no side mirror, even people are not using these mirror. even more than 50% cars drivers fold theire mirror inside so the mirror should not break. sign board are not at correct places. ... and lot i can write so many pages of complaints. please do something. please........don't say that it is not possible. As many of you thinking same thing like now. easiest way to control the traffic ask the police to work properly. Key reason of bad traffic is your Police is not trained. They don't know how to control the whole traffic system. Every one to whom i talk they said it is not possible. It mean they are not ready from inside. How they can achieve the result? so they don't work they don't control the traffic. they are doing 0% percent effort to control the wrong and careless driving. What they do then ? i will tell you the truth. The crew of 3 or 4 police men (sometime more ..) come to road to control the traffic. First they find a big tree. They set or stand under the shadow of the tree. And start stopping the vehicles. And they will ask...1. Where is RC? 2. Driving license ? 3. Insurance paper? 4. pollution certificate? 5. Tax papers ?
but nobody care about wrong driving. nobody care about the speed. nobody care about mirror. nobody care about wrong overtaking. I notice people do overtaking on curves, on turns, in rush areas. And police just stand under the trees. And when i tried to police officer regarding this problem they said it is not possible to control the traffic. i suggest the traffic police to drive on a motorbike along with the other driver and watch the mistakes of driving people(instead of sitting under the tree) And cut the challans for those people who are doing mistakes. After sometime people will start right driving. they will do less mistakes. they will avoid to overtake on turns and curves. And there will less accident. and more revenue to the govt.
Now if you say it is not possible. Then give me the control of one district. I will do my service free of cost. And you will feel the difference. So please do something. Thanks..

Myself Mahendra Kamble was driving in my car MH12-DS7008,from Somwar peth towards camp today at 11am,Suddenly one Lady traffic police officer S.V Chavan stopped me and said i have given whistle to stop and you have not stopped and claimed that i was talking on phone so should pay money,When i told her that she can check my phone record and confirm that whether i was talking on phone and to confirm all incoming and out going calls,But she denied and said that i should meet Sr.Officer at samarth police station and cesaed my driving liscence.

I gave her my Visiting card and said that ,iam a responsible person and working for a Tata company and i always follow all traffic rules but she did not listen atall and was insisting that i should pay money,

When i asked lady police officer her name she immediately pulled out the challan book from her Two wheeler and said now i will see how you get your lisence back,and will file a case against you,and took my Maruti car number.

I request you to intervene and help me in getting my Driving lisence back.
