Hi,

With reference to my purchase on 16th March,2013 from Zara,Pacific Mall.I had received a confirmation at the billing counter to be refunded or exchanged with my purchase if returned within a month along with the bills.
I had not tried the size earlier and when I went for an exchange on 23rd March (next weekend) I was made to wait at the counter for 45 minutes. Later, the Store Manger just informed me casualy that my purchase cannot be exchanged because it doesnt look fresh and new. When I insisted the Store Manager (Raj )to give me the reason for refusal, he said it is wrinkled and we dont exchange wrinkled clothes. I asked him to show me the rule book. He didnt have any, yet, he just remained rude and exceptionaly impolite and argued. I felt humiliated and as a loyal customer I refuse to be treated such. Iam not only appalled by such behaviour but I also want some strict action to be taken against such untrained managers.

I went with the jeans to another store in Vasant kunj mall and I was treated respectfully and asked if I want money or exchange . They exchanged my purchase without any hassle.
I want the sales and counter person to be trained properly if they represent an international brand because when you spend money you also want to feel the association with the brand.

zara delhi — rude and bad management

I had a very bad experience with Zara(Delhi) few days back I bought a shoe and after wearing it for the fourth time it started losing its pasting which shows that there was a manufacturing defect but the sales team were no ready to except it they told me that they will repair it they gave me a date to collect the shoe but when I went to collect it(Monday) was not fixed they asked me to come the next day (Tuesday) again it was not fixed so i told them that I cannot come every day from gurgaon to take these excuses I asked( rakesh manager of the store) can you please keep the shoe and give me my money back he said (it can’t be done) then I asked him can you keep the shoe and the money he said( yes) so he took the shoe and the bill, now I don’t have the shoe neither the bill and after this I never received a call from them, these were the heights of bad management. I would say worst experience ever.

    I purchased a denim Pant from ZARA store in infinity 2 Malad west , Mumbai, in the month of Aug 2012
    the Pant in its second was got big white patches . The pant was washed with proper wash care instructions , by turning it inside out, washed in the delicate cycle of machine using Ariel Top load washing powder.

    When the pant was taken to the store they took a picture of it and told me they will get back to me after checking with the Head office. after 5 days they got back to me saying that they require the bill. because i had bought it almost 2 months ago and had no intention to return or exchange it i did not keep the bill. then i was asked to bring the bank statement to find out the exact date of the purchase.
    i doubted the attitude of brand as they were only delaying the procedure. so i asked what would they do with the statement, to this the answer from the store manager named Nikhil was " we will check the exact bill date and then from that find out how this pant was washed , in what temperature and if bleach was used" this is the most nonsense answer i have ever heard... basically when provoked the manager told me that even if i come next time they will not exchange this pdt and then put allegations on my saying that i had washed the pant in Bleach!

    iam a Head Buyer myself in a very reputed international brand , and i understand fabrics and their characteristics very well... this was a genuine case of faulty pdt which was refused to be entertained by the soo called famous and reputed brand called ZARA.

    i wish to sue them for selling such pdt at a premium and fool consumers.

      I use to work with zara once upon in time but that zara is not the same, i was with them in saudi arabia, and the customer care was fantastic. we use to listen customer and use to do what ever good we can...

      I also have bad experience, i bought a pant 4 months back from pune showroom and i traveled to africa therefore i didnt had time to complain about the problem or deffect on the quality...

      your wont belive i got torn near zip area near belt loops near the stiches, stiches are coming out as if it 20-30 year old stuff, it looks like its been dyied to much in acid.....but when i sent the paint back to pune they are not willing to except it....

      if you can provide me the customer care no or email id i will try with them let see what happens...

        We see several forms of communication that tell us how important we are as customers. But are we really important or customers or just fools who believe that our business is valued ? I shopped good worth INR 35,560/- from Zara on april 4th 2012, in mumbai. A few days later was my four year old sisters birthday for which i presented her a few dresses. It turned out to be a size smaller. Unfortunately i had misplaced the receipt but the tags on the clothes were still there. We requested the cashier to check through the tag codes, he completely denied. I showed him my POS transaction message to confirm the date and other details but in vain. We then requested to see the manager, a gentlemen called Zaffar Shaikh. The manager is worst mannered man i have seen or will probably ever meet again. He said no cant do anything. I requested the name and number of the marketing team in delhi which he refused to give. I reased with him and said why should i be treated this way or go through some call centre to get my problem solved. Eventually i have approximately INR 8000/- worth of goods that are completely useless which i told him about and asked him what should i do. He said thats your problem and walked out on us like we were some people from the street. Im surprised with this lack of empathy that came from Zara. Its an international brand. You expect better from them. Ive realized international brands bring sub standard clothes at high prices in our country with an equally sub standard customer service. Sub standard is a high caliber word for their service. I will never shop at Zara ever again and im sure to influence others.

        Hi,
        We've faced a very similar problem, i would like to know if you tried to solve this problem, since i have sent them 8-10mails and not even got a single reply till today.
        They refused you to exchange and harassed you, guess what... they harassed me by challenging me to arrange an exchange. They were one of the most rude retailers ever come across, well they are forgetting that they are JUST ZARA and nothing else... And yes this was the Mr. Manager too...
        Also we left the product in their store and they were ready to keep it, its still with them at the Vasant kunj ZARA Store in Delhi.
