I bought a 2t a/c on 07/0811 (carrier) from kaydee, sec 18, noida (u. p.). it was very noisy to start with and the technician came and said that there was no problem with it. this year in the month of may, it stopped working. after repeated calls and complaints which took them 10 days to come, the technicians came and replaced the contactor and refilled the gas. left the screws open and left. we again put in a complaint ant again it took them a week to get back and put the screws back and told us the screws were making the noise in the airconditioner. after 2 days the ac again stopped working. the compressor again wouldnt start up. and since 29 days we have been complaining, talked directly to the kaydee showroom people also and nothing has been done. two technicians have come. we've got their cell numbers, they know the problem but nobody seems to be interested in fixing it. after every 7-10 days, the carrier company telecallers change the complaint no. even though the complaint is one month old. inspite of talking to them and putting in the same complaint for the 29 days, nothing has been done. isnt this harrassment on the part of the company? in a weather like this, when we cannot run the ac and inspite of repeated calls, wastage of time - is it fair on the comany's part? the charm of buying a new air conditioner has just gone down the drain. i dont think anybody should go in for a carrier product when their products are of such inferior quality and their service is so bad. (complaint no. last changed and registered on 7th july ghz618 - still not been resolve - today is 17th july) tecnicians representing kaydee are akhil and imran who know the problem and have done nothing inspite of having chkd the unit. (their cell nos. [protected] and [protected] imran). i have the original copy of the bill proving that the unit is still under warranty. have spoken to the manager varun of the call center taking complaints for carrier. no. of telecallers like - chanda, somesh, kalpana, mahesh and many more have been told abt the prblm but nothing has been done so far. kindly guide us to go about this problem..

carrier — Received a Different Product

I bought a Carrier Dura kool Ac in Vasanth & Co velachery, chennai,
But i received Carrier Durakool during Delivery, at that time i was not in home,so my family members dont know about the difference, when i ask the dealer he is saying both are same, at least i ask for Price discopunt he is saying both are same price.

Please help in this regard.

carrier — Not providing warranty

Dear Sir/ Madam

I had purchased an Air Conditioner from the Show Room of Carrier near Frazer Patna, Bihar. The month must be July or August of 2009. Unfortunately the motor fan of AC was bitten by the rats so that I had complained the same to the carrier company on there toll free number as the AC was under warranty period. But they did not responded for a long time. During that period I had complained again and again after some sort of period the company called me and told me to pay for the destroyed stuff. All the story is going for a period of more than two months.

So therefore you are kindly requested to help me and consider upon my problem sympathetically.

Carrier Airconditioning & Refrigeration Ltd — After sales service sucks

I have got a Estrella window AC and it has stopped working 3 weeks back. The unit is still under warranty. So a technician came along and happily said that the PCB need to be replaced and they will get it from Gurgaon. Its been three weeks after that and every time I hear its either coming or the technician is busy and will come down tomorrow. They have such lousy customer service that you wonder why they even care to give this 1 year warranty, when their staff makes sure the customers never get proper customer service.
Well one thing is for sure, I will pass this word around that it doesn't make sense to pay premium price to get such crappy product which breaks down within 1 year and after sales service is simply the WORST!!

Carrier Airconditioning & Refrigeration Ltd — Faulty 1 Ton A/C unit Estrella

Purchased an Estrella 1 Ton in April 2009. Since then the fan unit has been making very heavy noise. The dealer says Carrier needs to repair with replacement of spare part, no response from Carrier. Dealer's after sales service is very bad and no responses during the warranty period.

I would not recommend Carrier products to any of my friends and also avoid purchasing any items from this dealer.

Total loss of money time and mental peace.

Carrier Company — Terrible After Sales Service

To the concerned,

I hold a Split AC of Carrier company purchased in the name of MR.D.L.Pandey.As per process there are 3 free maintainence service free,however,non of the after sales service officails called me for the same.The servicing was done only ONCE.

I had logged a complain on 29th of April for a leakage issue and i am unattended till 3rd May.There is the worst level of service a company can give.The customer service guys do not know the techincian to whom the case is forwarded and when will he attend the customer's complain.I fail to understand the need for a service unit when the basic question of the customer is not heared.

I would never in my life recomend A Carrier Product to my close once.

carrier — AC not working since last 6 months

Dear Sirs ,

Even after your personal intervene the repairing people came on 19th Night. Enclosed are the pictures of working of the people.

1 Two PC boards were changed twice and still AC is not cooling.
2The swing function of AC is not working .
3 The AC is still not cooling.
4 The remote controller which has come back seems to be years old.

I hope you will understand that a customer is not bound to take the responsibilities of manufacturing fault.Your this unit has become a unit of R&D .

We hereby request you that considering the manufacturing defect in the air conditioner , our unit should be replaced as it is not working since last more then 6 months

We are here by requesting you to place consider the facts and get our unit replaced otherwise we will be asking our legal advisor who is given the copy of this mail to give you a legal notice for the giving
you the legal notice for the mental harassment, inconvenience and the expenses we have encored for your this unit and still the unit is not working .

Please also note as committed by you on phone no one from Ghaziabad has visited us to see our problem.

Please consider our inconvenience and the need of the equipment when my husband is bed ridden since December.

WE WOULD ALSO APPRECIATE A THIRD PARTY INSPECTION AND ARE READY TO BEAR COST IF THE REPORT IS AGAINST OUR DEMAND OF 100% REPLACEMENT O[censored]NIT.

    Hi,

    I purchased a carrier estrella 1 ton split ac from pinky radios, sector 35, chandigarh on may 6, 2012. The unit we received had a defect, the indoor unit display digits were corrupt and of the digit was not displayed correctly. We asked the service engineer who had come for installation and he said he will get this don’t from the service center but no one reached or called to know the problem.

    We called up pinky radios who gave us the local service center number. So we called up the local service center on 8th june 2012 and registered a complaint (Complaint # 3818) regarding the display and water leakage in indoor unit (This started after 1 week of installation). The engineer came on 9th june, 2012 and solved the leakage problem. For the display problem he said the pcb and display unit are faulty. When asked about the time it will take to replace the part, he said he will do it by next day i. E 10th june 2012. As non one would be home on 10th, i personally handed over the pcb and display unit to the service station at attawa village, sector 42, chandigarh. I handed over the parts to pawan kumar in the afternoon at about 2 pm. He said they will check the unit and install by evening.

    No one called up to tell the status of the parts and no one visited us on saturday (June 9th, 2012) or sunday. I called up again on monday and the service center personnel said it will be installed by evening on monday. Same thing has happened on tuesday and i had a furios talk with one of the executives at the service station and i asked him to install the faulty unit back. I called up the pinky radios sales department in sector 35, chd and requested them to do the same. He promised the part will be installed by evening. Again no one came. Not satisfied with the service, i also registered a complaint with carrier helpline[protected], complaint number : chndi608. I called them up again on wednesday and got the same replay but no one came to install the old faulty part back.

    I purchased the ac only a month back and its peak summers now. At this peak temperatures your engineers have left the unit in non running condition and we have to suffer in this hot weather without the ac and that too after spending rs 40, 000 on an ac. If your service center does not have a replacement, its okay i can wait but at least install the old part back so that the unit is working till the replacement arrives. Why do we have to suffer if your inventory management is not good.

      I want to bring to notice the harassment and lack of professionalism your customer support is showing. As you will read below I as customer made huge mistake by firstly buying you A/C and then being stupid enough to buy AMC on top of it. Now my A/C is not functioning for more than 2 weeks and all your customer support is doing is giving assurances. I am not sure if you guys care but this is pathetic show by a company claiming to be multinational,.

      I have talked to Nabil Aamir, who is your customer care supervisor at[protected]. The only response I get is we will call you back and we are very sorry.
      I have written to customer care address, and got response from Anju Luther, that she is quite regretful and will do something soon.
      Your AMC guys in Noida(AB enterprises) who promptly took money for AMC are not even picking up the phone now. I think they are quite sick and sorry hearing customer complaints from people who bought Carrier.

      I have undergone similar harassment by Carrier last year when I bought the A/c and they sold me a broken piece. Now am carrying burden of that broken piece on me and fraud company like Carrier is not even responding.

        I bought a 1.5 ton carrier split ac on 24 june 2011 from a dealer in jalandhar (Punjab). Next day a company boy came and installed my ac. But after a week o[censored]sage ac stopped working.. On 6th july 2011 i called carrier customer care. They told me that their technician will visit me in 48 hours. But today its 16 july and technician has not visited me even after 10 days of complaint. I called customer care almost 100 times but they just reply that they would get the issue resolved.

        Its a big mistake to buy a carrier ac. Because their after sale service is a hell.

        I have purchase a dura kool 2 tonne ac before 1 year but now it is not running i have complained a lot to the dealer ,tirupati agencies berhampur ,ganjam,orissa no service he is giving to me i dont know what to do ,but i never going to purchase carrier company ac and also not suggest my frienda to purchase this .

          I would like to draw your attention by the sheer harassment by carrier. I have been pursuing this case for last 2 months without any action in this regards. It is really pity to have these kind of shameful services by carrier.

          I bought two carrier a/cs on 13th may 2011. These acs were bought from aarkay engineers, gurgaon, invoice no – ae/sales/2011-12/463. The models are estrella wrac 1.0 ton.

            I have purchased a carrier air conditioner 1.5ton split ac on 10 july 2009. From national electronics court road saharanpur.
            I used the ac for one month than raininy season comes then i start my ac in the month april 2010 i see that the ac is not cooling the room. I file the complain the person shariq comes he said that gas is leaked he filled the gas and went away after 2 -3 days i see that again the same problem i called him so many times than i called to the dealer and also at ghaziabad office to mr gulshan and mr manish suri. Than the person comes he again filled the gas and went away. After 2-3 days again the same problem. Then i went to the dealer many times he send the person shariq he said that their is some leakage in the indoor unit. Aap company ko kaho ki aapka indoor unit replace kar daye meine company mein phone kiya mr manish suri say meri baat hui meine unhe kaha ki abhi mera ac warranty mein hai aap mera indoor unit replace kar do toh unhone kaha ki replace nahi hoga hum isko thik kar va denge meine kaha nahi mujhe replace karva kay do toh unhonay kaha ki nahi hum isko thik karva kar dayge. Unho nay shariq ko bheja woh indoor unit uttar kar lay gaya aur 4-5 days baad laya fir maine manish suri ji ko kaha ki agar yeh phir kharab ho gaya toh unhone kaha yeh meri responsibilty hai ab meine is saal ac start kiya toh phir wohi problem toh mr maneesh say baat ki toh kahtay hai ki aab toh yeh warranty say bahar hai aab aap ko thik karvanay kai charges dene hoge. Ab maine itnay din say carrier kay md ko email kar raha ho par koi response nahi hai. Inhonay isi tarah ac ki guranty khatam kar de

                I had purchased 3 units of 2 ton durakool +, from techno city, 15 b sarat bose road, kolkata on 4th april 2010, vide their invoice number mcm 183 dated 04/04/20101, for a value of over rs 1 lac, which was delivered on 10th of april after repeated persuasion. The installation was done by mr raju who prompted us that these ac units being heavier has to be installed on terrace only and cannot bemounted/ installed on outside walls and charged us rs 8050 /-instead of rs.4500/- initially informed by techno city at the point of sale. Needless to mention we had to chase raju sarkar for three days to complete installationonce he started.
                As raju had told us that during the daytime we can contact your carrier representative and in acse his additional charges are not justified we can get the money back. When we contacted the installer sent by carrier we were informed that there is no issue in getting the machines mounted on exterior walls and confirmed that above raju sarkar had charged us extra and will come back and return the money.
                They sent another person who mounted the air conditioners on the exterior walls of the flat with angles on 21st april, 2010 after payment of 750 as charges for angles but in the meantime mr raju sarkar never returned to pay us our money.
                But to our surprise one ac with unit serial no.[protected] was not functional and as informed by the person installing the ac second time, the gas had leaked. We informed this to carrier and technocity point of sales) immediately
                We kept following with them and then one technician turned up on 26th april and informed thathe valve is defective. They then intended to replace the valve and rectify the defect. We insisted that the unit be replaced as there cannot be a defect in a machine abintio prior to being put into use.
                They assured us that this is not a perennial defect they will rectify the defect and in case the same defect takes place again they will replace the unit. This was confirmed by their representative named subhashish.


                In the month of august 2010 we requested for servicing of the air conditioners and after repeated requested when their representative came to service the air conditioning and found that the same ac unit is not working reason being same. This unit is located in an area where we don’t need to use ac rarely and hence we could not realize this fact earlier.
                We notified to carrier on phone on 30th august 2010 and thyey did not take this complaint as we wanted replacement o[censored]nit. On 3rd finally we filed the complaint under complaint number kol 170 but thety insisted again on repairing and hence the need for this complaint

                To add, the email ids provided in website and letter are incorrect.
                Issues:
                A) sale of sub standard defective product
                B) poor support services
                C) cheating by representative installing the machine
                D) mental & financial harrassment

                Technocity kolkata — AC till now not installed

                This is to inform that we purchase one split AC on 9 th june 2012,but till today 13th june 2012 now body come to install our AC in spite of regular follow up.we brought this for small kids came from kuwait for only one month,but already 5 days gone this is very painfull for the service Provided by Technocity.

                  I have purchased carrier window 1 ton ac from coolways sector 44, chandigarh on 30 may 2009. and i have installed the ac at my bathinda house i. e. 230 kms from chd. as carrier is a global company so they can provide service anywhere in india. i have lodged complaint on[protected]carrier india helpline) more than 30 times they said team will visit but the next time i call they said that the team has resolved the problem as the service manager from punjab may have send a wrong feedback, i personally went to chandigarh to take the faulty part that was in warranty because mr jaswinder one of the service incharge from chandigarh said me to pick the part and he will get it replaced. but the part was not changed for 3 months and i mailed the whole matter to the head office and a response came and the part is replaced and service was done but the part is not installed properly and there is a hudge noise coming from ac and i cant run it, and now no one is giving me a positive feed back, the guy who replaced the part is not picking up the phone. from the date i have purchased the ac i have hardly used it for 10 days it is a faulty machine. i am really fed up of this. i will never buy a carrier product in punjab in my life. these people have even spoiled the reputation of such a prestigious company. the service in punjab of carrier is really poor.

                    Hi,

                    I'm kamal from bathinda punjab. I bought new carrier split ac on 11-march 2010 from local dealer. Company boy came & installed the product at my home. When i start the ac its not working well. We were faced a lot problems when guy was installed it.
                    1 ac refrigerant connecting pipe was in different size (Stove valve pipe & connective cable not connecting because both are differnt size). So guys attach extra pipe & belding both of them.

                    2 now ac gave simple fan air. It is not cool.


                    3 when i said to that guy he check & said i will come with equipement. But still im waiting for last two days.

                    Ir, kindly change my ac or do needful action asap

                    Carrier / Split AC — Brand New AC not working

                    I purchased Carrier make Split AC on 25th June from Hazrat Vision. The AC was installed on 26th June. The AC is not giving cooling at all and we have raised several complaints to the service centre. The service centre is not providing adequate service to us. First of all we are getting a defective piece and then we are not getting any service also. This AC should be either replaced by the retailer or the manufacturer. Pl get this issue resolved.

                      Poor performance of 1.5 ton window ac

                      I had purchased one carrier brand window ac 1.5 ton genx range in march' 2007 from a kolkata (India) dealer. Since day 1 the machine could not give the cooling less than 23 degree. During may’9 and jun’09 the cooling cut off had become 27 degree. The room area is about 140 sq ft.

                      Subject : inordinate delay in attending the complaint

                      We lodged a complaint vide the complaint no. ghz 402 on july 30, 2009 at0832 hrs bout the non-working of the 2 ton carrier air conditioner with the customer service of carrier.

                      Even after repeated foloow up with the customer care service, no body bothered to attend this complaint till now.

                      This morning we have been forced to send and email to mr. zubin irani the managing director of the company in india. but he was not approachable on telephone as rhe was reported to be in soem meeting.

                      Such delay is not expected from a renowned company like m/s carrier

                      Request to look into the root cause of it.

                        Poor and malpractice ridden customer service

                        I own two carrier acs, and was planning to acquire another.

                        The one purchased less than five years back is not performing well.

                        It was attended to, along with the older one, by your 'technician' on 26th march 2009 but it has failed to function well. the older one too needs further attention as its performance also leaves much to be desired

                        Yesterday, in response to del 1794, the franchisee sent two persons who were completely clueless, tried to leave even as the ac failed to cool well. when confronted, the senior looking one indulged in guess work, demanding a sum of rs.500/- for doing the needful. when told that it was a follow up on the 26th march, they contacted their office who insisted that they be paid again. since they did not show any proper credentials as qualified technicians, the matter was reported back to helpline who gave another reference no. (del 1898) and assured that a senior technician would be sent within 24 hours.

                        I got it noted that if compressor needed to be replaced that may be done during the warranty period. i was assured by the customer care rep. - akash - that he had made a note of this specific request in his report to the concerned department.

                        The first and foremost malpractice seems to be the fact that the 'boys' employed by the franchisee are not duly qualified and trained. therein lies the responsibility of the company. it seems essential for the company to ensure that each person sent to attend customer complaint must, before touching the machine, gives to the customer a photocopy of identity card issued by the parent company so that franchisees are compelled to employ qualified and trained technicians.

                        Servicing seems riddled with yet another malpractice whereby both the company and the customers are being short-changed. i have details of my unhappy experience with it. suffice it to say, this practice seems to be promoted by lower executives of the company in collusion with the franchisees. while the customer is charged rs. 500/-, he is not issued a receipt on carrier's invoice.

                        The possibility of other mutually collusive practices can also not be ruled out as this seems to provide a very lucrative source of money-making at the cost of hapless, unsuspecting customers. only a thorough investigation from higher levels can bring out the extent of the problem.

                        I would urge that not only are my specific problems are promptly attended to, but the basic malady is also treated and cured so that carrier can maintain the high standards expected of the old and renowned company.

                        we have purchase durakool plus split 1.5 tons 2 pcs. from j d electronics hyd. & instoll by rosni electronics nizamabad. he has not install properly so gas was leack within3-4 days in 2 machine. we have infom to mr.vitobha nizamabad.mo.no [protected] but he is saying that ware u have purchase the machine give the complaint to them. so we have complaint to j d electronics & they told to mr.vitobha nizamabad and he is not answaring propearly to j d ele. so they told to complaint you.

                        I own one tone window AC Durakool and its warranty expires on 19.12.08. As the machine was not under AMC I was ready to pay Rs500/- for servicing as intimated by you while booking on 28.04.09 vide case no. kolkata-1008.But it is unfortunate that your kokata staff from Saltlake had chrged Rs600/- for cleaning the machine only.I will glad if you clear my doubt.

                        I had bought a carrier split ac from harita agencies berhumpur gangam orissa on dt 05/04/2009.
                        on dt 18/06/2009 my ac is not working totally. I register my complaint to the agencies.
                        They sent a technician, he checked the outer unit and told that gas was leaked.
                        And told that the gas has to be filled with extra charges but there is no sign of anybody

                        we have purchase durakool plus split 1.5 tons 2 from great eastern how.on 10/5/2009 & instoll by ur franchisee mr.kausik cont no[protected]. he has not install properly so gas was leack within3-4 days in my machine. after that we have also informed meho-hpcair systems (p) ltd. cont no[protected] then they put some gas in my outdoor machine and also acknowledged the problems.but still now the problem remains the same. my father is a patient. we repeatedly complaint to ur franchisee and but still now no drastic action has been taken against it. my father is a patient. i have purchased the machine because of him but after installation we are really suffering a lot for last one month. so i request u to take necessary steps as early as possible

                        i purchaged carrier split AC from Rayal Ac, carrier dealer in Kurnool town, the outer is giving more noise. Approched the dealer many times. Not rectifing since six months. Very bad and negligent behavior with custmers is abserved. my cell no [protected]

                        I totally agree with the compaint. Infact today i.e 12/5/2011 i had to undergo a lot of humiliation and bad experience as i was not suffering due to bad product but totally hostile and nonprofessional attitude of the staff attending calls at [protected]. It looks as though they have done some obligation and charity for giving me AC agianst payments made by me. Ironically I too am responsible for wrong data entry. I had purchased and installed a Split AC in 1st week of May 2011 whereas i was stonewalled as having a Window AC which I never Purchased. This is a height. I suggest to rpurchase carrier AC at your own risk and cost as you are not a customer but liability and begger once you purchase the same
