The team at colive has been operating on the procedure of scamming people and deliberately trying to squeeze out every last penny of their renters when they live there and while the leave. In my case, I found out on the 24th of August'21 that my rent is 22k while others in the same apartment are paying around 15-16k. I brought this to the manager's notice and he said that he agrees it is unfair and he will look into it. Later on the subsequent day when I approached him regarding the same, he tried to procrastinate and give me idiotic reasons that he is in a meeting and can't talk. I texted him to resolve this issue at the earliest on the 28th of August'21 and called him several times but he still kept dodging my calls and didn't resolve the issue( I have the relevant screenshot for this conversation that took place). Finally after seeing this behaviour from him I tried to contact other people I knew at colive, as having lived there for almost 2 years I knew some people. Unsurprisingly enough none was helpful and one was so blatant as to say that it was her last day on the job( mind you this is the same person who I was in contact with while getting the apartment at colive, and this was the response I got). On further calls and messages I found out that she (Ramita) is infact working there and I found this out when I called another person in the billing team (Yogesh). At first Yogesh heard my problem and seemed like he would help in getting me some answers, but when I called later( as told by him to call him back later as he was in a meeting) he never answered and didn't reply to any of my messages. I believe this is the standard operating procedures that the team at colive work in. At last I was fed up and called a senior manager (Harpreet h Ashwini) who I have been in contact in the past as he helped me in internal transfer. He went one step further to say that I've called the wrong number even though I recognised his voice. I tried to get an answer from the manager at Colive Adelaide(Raghu) on the 1st of September when I bumped into him, but again he made an excuse of a meeting and said he'll contact me the next day, but ofcourse he didn't even after my multiple calls. I would like to inform here that all this is being done deliberately so as to extend the time to resolve a complaint and make the renter pay extra and add other charges and so on. Finally after pushing constantly I got a call from the colive team on the 4-5 th of September'21 and in that they said they'll only be able to reduce my rent by 1k i.e. 21k (I have this on record) would be my new rent which was unacceptable to me as there was no basis on why should I be paying 1.5 times the other renters. Therefore I finally decided to leave colive and I moved out on the 6th of September at a great personal expense. Now, later in the subsequent month I got a notice from the Colive team stating that I need to pay additional 18k. Now, my monthly rent was 22k and security deposit was for 42k. I moved out on the 6th of September, so even if we take 1 month and deduct the rent i.e. 22k from 42k there will be 18k that Colive should be refunding me back, instead they have added on numerous charges and what not and have ballooned the figure to 18k which they claim I am supposed to pay. I am reporting this complain so that some form of action can be taken against these people and their ways of scamming people and entrapment schemes does not continue. And just for a foot note, I have several other billing related queries and complains that has never been answered or even acknowledged but I digress. Was this information helpful? |
