Colive — Refund of Deposit for Misrepresented Property Booking

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the mishandling of my deposit for a property booking with Colive in Bangalore.

Initially, I was misled by a sales representative named Ashutosh, who provided me with details of a 2 BHK property, sharing images of a property in Hyderabad but providing the address of a different property in Bangalore. Despite this discrepancy, I paid a token amount to secure the booking.

Upon visiting the property, I discovered the discrepancy but was assured by Ashutosh that an alternative property was available. Dissatisfied with the alternative, I requested a refund, to which I was initially told the total token amount was refundable within an hour. However, upon request, they refused to refund the amount promptly.

Reluctantly, I stayed at the property and encountered numerous issues, leading to my decision to vacate after almost a year. Despite raising a notice for vacating, there were delays due to application glitches.

Even after vacating and fulfilling all obligations, I am still being harassed by Colive, demanding an additional payment of ₹5000, despite holding my deposit of approximately ₹12000. Their continued threats of legal action and refusal to respond to my communication attempts have left me distressed.

I request your immediate intervention to resolve this matter and facilitate the prompt refund of my deposit amount.

The deduction mentioned in the final settlement is charged as per the company policy. The notice period to vacate must be raised on/before 1st of the calendar month & notice raised after that will not be considered as Valid (handbook Clause 4.1 & agreement clause 3.3). The Notice period was raised on 12th of Jan'24 to vacate on 31st Jan'24 which does not align as per the notice period policy for which the charges has been deducted.
