Refund of Deposit for Misrepresented Property Booking

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the mishandling of my deposit for a property booking with Colive in Bangalore.

Initially, I was misled by a sales representative named Ashutosh, who provided me with details of a 2 BHK property, sharing images of a property in Hyderabad but providing the address of a different property in Bangalore. Despite this discrepancy, I paid a token amount to secure the booking.

Refund Issue - COLIVE

I was a tenant in colive columbus 1180 .
Joined there on Dec 8th 2023. I have paid 7k as rent and 9290 Rs as rent for the remaining days of december month.
Due to the service issue and also some fake promise done by sales person, I have decided to vacate the building on February . So, I have raised this notice on Dec 8th on vacating the building .

Changing dues amount from Backend and continuously Harassing by email and chats

My name is Sumit Kumar Singh,

I joined Colive Overland Park Bellandur, Bangalore on 1st December 2023, and left on 31st January 2024.

I booked a balcony view room when i visited under zero deposit scheme with rent of 15000. But in very first month they ask me to deposit 1200+4000+15000 before check-in which i did.

When i checked in they changed my room from backend, Sales Manager did not pick...

Demanding extra amount

I checked out from my PG in Jan. And my Property manager told me that if I don't serve the notice my security deposit will be forfeited As is the case with Every pg. But from the past 1 week they are trying to build Mumbai. By sending me extortion emails to pay 10896 Extra as a random separation charges or else they will file a Nauseath against me with which I have to pay 50000 extra fine, And my credit score will also get impacted.

The checkout was done without any notice & clearing the applicable outstanding charges, the legal notice has been initiated. As per the agreement signed, the outstanding & applicable amount must be cleared before checkout. Also, if the outstanding amount is higher than the security deposit, company has the right to recover the pending amount from the user, if the outstanding amount is not paid then the legal notice shall be issued against the same. We request you to please refer the signed agreement & the Colive handbook for the same.

    I have raised the transfer request to the property on November 2023. Which was not approved till date and due to which the option to raise notice was erased. I have written many mails to colive and their representatives. But there was no response
    Finally I got a official message to vacate the property on February 3rd. I have duly done so with no damage to property. I have received official mail on vacating also
    Further, on February 15, I have received a mail that I owe 13k above the 15k deposit I have paid as I have vacated without notice and I have damaged the property for almost 8k
    From February 17, I have received many threatening mails from Colive stating that I have to pay else they will block my PAN and Aadhar
    On February 20, I received a threatening call from the representative that if I do not pay in 30 mins, I will be taken to court for legal matters

      Demanding Money on the name of LEGAL NOTICE

Without any prior notice or explanation, Colive abruptly increased my rent from 15k to 21k.       After repeated calls/texts to colive managers, my formal request (post raising a service request and following the required procedures) for the refund of my security deposit has been ignored time and again by not one but multiple colive managers.

      The security deposit along with the reservation amount to be refunded is equivalent to 13, 021 INR.

      Sales Manager was of no help, has chosen to not respond to almost 20+ calls and texts.

      All in all, very poor management and harassment of customers, especially if customers are students such as me, since funds are crucial.

        Legal notice scam by colive

        Hi team,
        I have already raise the ticket as per prior mail conversation with the your end kindly have a look, i was scammed by your sales team guy named abhishek since he told me while booking that you will have a hike in monthly rent of around 1500 from January month.
        Also i dont understand where is this all legal notice and everything is coming post 2 months from the day i vacated on. Very unjustified.

        I got scammed for 32667 rupees without even checking into the place. I paid registration fee of 1000 rupees for the booking and later sales person Mohit told me to pay 31667 to confirm the booking.

        My plans got changed and wanted to cancel my booking next day but Mohit told me it's not possible. I talked to the billing department and they me to contact Mohit regarding this issue. They said billing department only deals with people who checked-in to the property. I tried calling Mohit multiple times, no response. I tried various departments in Colive customer care but met with unacceptable and rude behavior. Meanwhile someone from Colive checked me in without my consent and now planning to loot the money.

        I did not check-in myself, I did not do the KYC verification and I did not submitted any verification documents.

        They checked-in after I raised a request to cancel my booking and texted the sales person to cancel the booking. This is unacceptable.

        I called multiple times to report this and no one is responding properly.

          I wanted to move to Bangalore and found out Colive app I searched for some PG nearby my office, Colive executive called me and suggested some properties and asked me to pay 1500 rs for booking amount after I paid the money they stopped picking calls and I contacted the property owner to confirm he said there’s no such booking and I have already paid 1500 rs I need a refund of my money from this fraud company

            Sending me legal notice on a fake booking

            I checked in to Colive PG on 29thNov2023 night. I had paid 2000 INR as reservation and 1600 INR as boarding charges. On 30thNov, 2023 morning my grandfather passed away hence I informed the maintainance person and vacated the premises as I may not come back. I didnt ask for a refund.             Address: Colive Glory, Opp. Joggers Park, Green Glen Layout, Bellandur, Bangalore.

            I live in a residential apartment, exactly next to Colive Glory which is located at Green Glen Layout, Bellandur, Bangalore.

            There are a few people causing nuisance in Colive Glory at 3rd Floor and 4th Floor. Some people party and play music and sound at HIGH level during night time and day time as well. This is causing a lot of disturbance to nearby residents.

            Kindly give strict instructions to Colive Glory Management and the residents to NOT play any sound at HIGH levels, their noise level must not exceed their rooms/premises.

                I was looking for a pg to stay in Hyderabad Kphb area and this Colive Agent called Namipriya contacted me and told me there is a room in that area. Rushed me into booking the place as it is limited and promised that the booking amount is refundable. But i asked my friend to visit and inspect the place she sent on the map, there was no pg there and she wont pick up calls or never reply messages. Now i have raised service requests on the app but still no response. Did some research and fount out that colive agents have a reputation for scamming. NEVER IN YOUR LIFE TRUST THEM.

                  It's been two months since I have moved out of their property-Colive liberty BTM Layout. Me and my roommate Together paid an advance of
                  Rs.38000.
                  We were charged a separation charge of rupees 9193 which was never mentioned by them.
                  and other expenses were also cut and we were left with 24738 rs only.
                  Considering the very bad reviews of Colive and how They scam people for their advance amount we waited for the amount it never arrived.
                  No response from their whatsapp support or the support in their app.
                  No response From manager Vinod kumar as he will never attend your call once we tell him the issue.
                  It's been two months and no response from whomsoever. But I will not leave this scammers to scam people anymore.

                    I've resided at Colive Cleveland for the past 10 months. However, I decided to leave due to an abrupt and unannounced increase of 2000 rupees in my rent. Today, I received a bill breakdown, which includes 3454 rupees for electricity, 3622 rupees for separation charges, and 3000 rupees for repair. It's worth noting that no repairs were necessary during my stay. I've also requested the detailed bill, but they have yet to provide it. Furthermore, there is no mention of separation charges in the agreement I signed.

                    Hello Colive,
                    I am writing to seek clarification on certain deductions from my deposit, totalling 10394. I have already raised a ticket [SR334171] regarding this matter, but unfortunately, it has not been addressed yet.

                    I am particularly concerned about the significant charge of 3452 for electricity, seemingly attributed to a single fan and one tube light. I find it hard to believe that such a minimal usage could result in such a substantial cost. It raises questions about the electricity charges for your office, which might be in the billions, judging by this amount (LOL).

                    Additionally, I am curious about the separation charges amounting to 3622. With prior notice, it seems I may have to surrender my property papers if i did't raise notice. Could you please provide more details on this charge?

                    The repair and maintenance charge of 3000 also caught my attention. I would appreciate it if you could elaborate on the nature of the damage incurred. If possible, kindly share any relevant videos or images to help me understand the need for this charge.

                    Could you kindly address my concern to ensure transparency and fairness? Otherwise, it gives the impression that there may be excessive assertiveness, making me doubtful about the viability of the situation.
