I have been using Airtel postpaid connection with BlackBerry services from past 1 year. Below is my connection info –

Few days ago I was called by an Airtel representative on my number and offered to subscribe to Blackberry Advance Rental 6999/- + Taxes plan in my Airtel Cell No [protected]. I would like to highlight the below –
1. I was not told that the onetime payment to be made for this plan is Rs 6999. Rather I was told it to be something like Rs 400. I was clearly provided wrong information the first time. (Same can be traced from all my past call records with Airtel.)
2. Assuming the charge was around Rs 400 I agreed to take up the plan.
3. Later on discussing the same with my colleges I understood that the Onetime fee to be paid was Rs6000!
I got a confirmation call from Airtel asking if I wanted to subscribe to Blackberry Advance Rental 6999/- + Taxes plan in my Airtel Cell No [protected]
1. I clearly asked them not to activate any such plans on my account. Same can be traced from all my past call records with Airtel.
On the Bill Dated 15/03/2013/ Bill Number:[protected], I see I am charged Rs 6999.00 despite my request not to activate this service. I called up Airtel Customer Care and briefed them about my issue. The Customer Care personnels said, this change done cannot be reverted. I will have to pay the amount of Rs 6000. On asking what if I wanted to close my connection, they said in that case I will have to shell out Rs 6999 and then be able to close the connection! This is horrible and a mental harassment for me. How do I pay for something I did not ask for. How can I be forced to pay for something that I haven’t used yet.
4. Airtel Call Reference Number – [protected]
I am using Airtel Broadband service for more than a year now (Acct Number[protected] and have been paying Rs1400 plus each month without fail. All I want to ask is, Is this the way how a customer is treated? I request Airtel to look into this issue ASAP ans revert back the amount from my bill. In case this cannot be done, I would like to submit all my Airtel connections(Internet/Postpaid/BB) and pay off any outstanding bills till date for services I have used. I will no way be able to pay the OneTime fee you guys have falsely charged!
