[Resolved]  Airtel — Illegal deduction of money

I just recharged my phone ([protected]) by Rs. 110, and it has only got recharged by Rs.1.
It says that Rs. 100 is added to the "power balance". Just a month ago when I had recharged it for Rs. 110, I had got full talktime. Now just Rs. 1.
Please look into the matter, as no details of this power plan were given (and I can't even find it on the web, or anywhere). It is just come out of nowhere.

AirTel — Grievance against illegal deduction from my talktime

Sir,
I have a prepaid Airtel connection bearing no. [protected].
That Sir, during december i have accessed yahoo zone through my mobile via Airtel Live.
For that reason I have been deducted Rs.10/- for accessing Yahoo zone.
From that time after every 10 days @ Rs. 10/- are being deducted as subscription for each of Yahoo Zone, True Tone, Zodiac. Althogh I am not using Yahoo Zone, True Tone, Zodiac from January, 09 onwards any more. The acknowledgement is coming from 64611010, 64611015 and 58243.
I have contacted with local Airtel dealer at Motorstand, Agartala for deactivating /unsubscribing Yahoo zone, True Tone, Zodiac etc. Taking my mobile, the receptionist sent some sms ( i think to Airtel) and then told me the problem is resolved.
But to my utter dismay, after some days i found that Rs. 10/- again are being deducted from my talktime for each of Yahoo Zone, True Tone, Zodiac.
Moreover I have personally tried to contact with Customer Care Executive of Airtel by dialing 121. The line seems to be too busy to contact with him/her. Although once i got connection, either the line breaks or the person cut the line.
In view of above, I request you to please look into the matter so that the sites mentioned above can be unsubscribed from my mobile bearing no. [protected].

Writing posts here won't do anything. No one from airtel is watching this site. Your way and mood suggest that you are thinking it to be an airtel customer care site.Obviously it is not ! !

The first thing you should do is that go to the wap site of yahoo zone which is charging you from your mobile browser.You might be having the links, If don't then search for the links or ask it from the customercare. In the yahoo zone search for unsubscribe link. If you don't find then go to each link and search them thoroughly searching for deactivating or unsubscribe link(while doing so be careful to not click a link that may charge). If you don't get any thing then you are really unlucky. But still there is an another way, but that one is difficult and requires more skill and understanding(I solved my problem with this method).I can't explain now because from next week my board exams are starting.

Don't Panic, I had faced similar situation and know how to solve it. I faced much more severe problem from airtel in which Re 1 was deducted everyday from my account.I contacted airtel customer care 12 times and they did nothing except giving me false promises. Lastly they stopped taking my calls and I was badly frustrated.Even I tried 60-70 calls per day to customer care, they didn't picked any one of them. So I decided to do it myself and succeeded.

AirTel — illegal deduction of money

Dear Sir,
My number [protected],i have face unnessary deduction of mony.I also complained to customer care executive and request response detail is given as:

All time their response is due to some chargeable services mony is deducted but I use Do Not Desturb scheme of Airtel under this I can not enjoy any services of airtel without deactivation of this scheme,DND scheme refrence no. is W[protected].
I am much dissapointed to airtel custemer care executive for their unnessary excuses and unsupporting attitude.
I want all my mony back immedeatly.

I am a customer of reliance prepaid service at GURGAON since last year and my no. is [protected] recently an amount of Rs 75 approx was deducted from by balance on 24.04.2011 and again they have deducted Rs25 on 25.04.2011, without any consent from the consumer.
kindly look into the matter and refund me the deducted amount and in future make sure to take the consumers consent before activating any service.

if no satisfactory reply or action seen, i would be forced to take heil of the legal system

I have a airtel prepaid bearing no +91 [protected] and I have 2 complaints:

(1)A few days back(dated 23/07/2011 to be precise) I recharged my balance with a sum of Rs110.00.
Soon after I started getting some notifications conveying that a specified sum of money(it varied every time) has been deducted from your balance for your last call which has a call duration of 00:00:00. What the heck is going on??How come my balance is deducted without me even making a call. I itself says that the call duration is 0sec. Not even a week has passed and I find myself having a sum of Rs.0.02 balance in my mobile from which I hardly have used up more that Rs10.

(2)I was at the receiving end of an another horrendous case. I recharged my balance with a sum of Rs100.00 in Lucknow on 16/06/2011 at 09:19PM. As usual, I instantly got a message saying that the recharge was successful. But it further said that the talktime I received was Re1 and MRP Rs100!!
On checking the balance by dialing *123# I found out that this was indeed the case but it also said that I had received a power balance of Rs100. I asked the shopkeeper about this 'power balance' to which he replied that he did a recharge of Rs100 talktime and he was unaware of this 'power balance'. But to my dismay I found out that I wasn't able to make even a single call!! I tried contacting customer care for this issue, but that too went in vain because the guy at the other end told me that he would connect me to the customer care in Guwahati and asked me to stay on line. But, even after 7-8 minutes what I heard at the other end was an airtel tone. That guy just left me stranded.

This is extremely intolerable. I want my precious money back!!
It's been a week since I have posted this complaint n still I haven't received any sort of assistance except a phone call confirming this complaint. I haven't recharged my balance just because I fear another fake deduction and thus, for more than almost 10 days I haven't been able to make a single call to any of my friends leave alone my family members.

Having been a loyal customer to Airtel for 7 long years, it suddenly pains me extremely to notice its apathy towards us!!!

Dear Sir

My number is registered with 'DND' category. But my account is debited with Rs. 35 for Mediphone Service.
I dont need any kind of service. Pls consider for the above and stop the service asap.

Sir,

I am one of the "Pre-paid" customer of your valuable services. I am using the 3G services provided by your company for the last several months. I was using this facility with a great satisfaction till few months back. But unfortunately for the past 2 months I am facing some genuine problem while using 3G.
With a recharge of Rs.255 I have been authorized to use 1 GB of data. But for the last four recharges I couldn't make it's full use. While the data counter on my account shows 11MB remaining, still I have been charged for using the remaining 11MB & extra by the deduction of money from my prepaid account balance, resulting which I faced problem while travelling.
So far there are several complaints lodged with your Customer Care service, but yet not received any positive response. I have lost an approx. amount of Rs.100 for the use of the aforementioned 11MB.

You are therefore requested to look into the matter and get some corrective action, so that I can get the refund of the amount deducted from my prepaid account balance for the last four 3G data pack recharges.
