[Resolved] Airtel — Activation o[censored]nwanted services | |||
Hello, I have an Airtel Prepaid connection. There is some "KingfisherGirls" subscription which has been activated on my mobile WITHOUT MY REQUEST. I have received messages on 19/05/11 and 29/05/11 regarding the deduction of 10 Rs (each time) for this unwanted service. It is unethical to activate services when it was never asked for. Though it is a matter of small amount deduction but it speak volumes about the code of conduct practiced in Airtel. I feel cheated after this. Hence, I would request you to take some serious action against Airtel so that my right as a customer are guarded. Thanks in advance for you cooperation. Regards, Kumar Saket. GAMES CLUB SERVICE HAS BEEN ACTIVATED WITHOUT ANY INTIMATION.. AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO DEACTIVATE IT ASAP, AS IT IS USELESS FOR ME IN BOTH THE TERMS EITHER FOR MONEY OR USAGE.. KINDLY HELP ME OUT TO DEACTIVATE THIS SERVICE......THIS IS SUCH A HOPELESS.

Air Tel has been activating unwanted non sense services on my mobile and charging for it. the modus operandi is that you receive promotional SMS, you open it and the service is activated. you may also receive a promotional call, you receive it and the service is activated.
now i have started sending very strongly worded mails to them, i even threaten them that in case the service is not discontinued , i shall go to consumer court. every time i had sent such a mail, the service was discontinued and the amount credited to my account.

Airtel tele services has activated add on services without my authorisation on my mobile, this atleast four times in last three months to accomplish their sales targets. This has irritated me so much that i have to opt for MNP facility. I have two numbers both from airtel, one is post paid and another is prepaid. The problem faced is on Pre paid number.

We are however going on receving un solicited SMS mainly from Real Estate catagory..
We registered on 23rd.Sept.2011.
