[Resolved]  Airtel — Installation of DTH

Hi,

Out of frustration I am writing about the service provided by Airtel DTH. I had raised a request on 10/04/11 for reinstallation of DTH as I moved to another house. Promptly, I received the following SMS from AIRTEL DTH: "Dear Customer, request no-6811117 for 'Relocation request', 'Happy Code-8KFY. Share code with the engineer once issue is resolved. for any query pls call [protected]"

I was trying to reach the given number for the past 5 days, there was no response. Fortunatly, I called the guy at around 3:00 in the noon. he said, that he would give a call to technician and get back within a minute. There was no response again from him. similarly, I tried reaching him 5 times, he said the same till 8:00 PM. after 8:00 PM, his mobile went off to not reachable.

Its since more than a week, raised a request for relocation of DTH. So far, it has not done. there is no response at all from the service engineer.

I think, I need to take the issue to Consumer Court.

I have already posted my comments twice yesterday my service request no 1198953 for changing my package from north mega to south mega . I clearly mentioned my package. But it was recharged wrongly. for Rs.3033/- the dealer bagged rs 3400/- from my pocket. from last two days [protected] is out of order i mean no response. By dropping important Telugu channels like TV9, MAA, ZEE Telugu and Bhakti TV my family members loosing the happiness of Diwali festival. It was already 8 days over since I made my complaint. I hope immediate change of package from north mega to South mega
Is there any use of the posting of complaint? No toll free service is responding. My service request number 1198953 is not attended still. I am wasting money on internet inclusive of money already wasted on Digital TV. Airtel is a big lie of the century.

This is a warning for all new airtel DTH customer that henceforth do not even think of Airtel DTH, dont ever suggest any one to buy airtel DTH as after sale service is pathetic, i would say eevn BSNL is far ahead in case of service comaparison. I got the first airtel DTH in Jammu. Recently i got transferred to chandigarh. befor coming to chandigarh i deposited Rs300 in their account and got slot for de installation, but no one visited my address and finally after regular follow up with the customer care i did de installation myself. Then while i was coming back to chandigarh i asked them to install my services next day. But a new era of manatal harassment started with the customer care. I specifically gave then then new address but they did not turned up. After 4 days of regular follow up i got call from backend team and he gave me the ZSM name and number. I called him up and even after following yup with him engineer came next day in evening.

After around 6 days my set top stopped working and i complaint to them in morning and they said by same day evening it will be resolved. As usal no body turned up and i again made call to them in evening. The reply that i got was shocking they said " You were not there when there engineer visited home" . I asked which addres did you visited, they said Jammu. i said boss if i have installed your services at chandigarh what is the fun visiting jammu address. After this i had word with senior Pramod who convinved me that engineer will visit address in evening . At around 4 pm i received call from there backend team and he asked me what is the update. I asked you should be knowing and then he said your jammu address is locked. listening to this i got angry and i asked him to give his ZSM number so that i can talk to him. But to my amaze he abused me and hung up the phone.

Now yesterday evening i have gone to dainik bhaskar and complaintd there. New will get pyublish today.

As a information i am posting this post. Please BE AWARE FROM AIRTEL DTH. THE MOST PATHETIC SERVICE PROVIDER OF THE NATION.

How to get these AIRTEL people to court...let me know a way to drag all these fellows to such a mental situation as we have faced...there customer care numbers doesn't exit and if so no one never answers...all this is flaw and why the hell on earth that the government is not taking any steps to ban this service...Is the whole system corrupt???

If educated people like us are facing such a helpless condition then what about the others..There should be some solution for this...please let me know if we can together do something.

I have put an request to install my Airtel digital set. As per the request it was scheduled on 05/12/2009 (Saturday) at 5.00 pm. The engineer called me on 05/12/2009 at 1200 hrs and asked me the complete residential address. After providing the residential from that time my headache started the way AIRTEL IS PROVIDING THE SERVICES. ITS PATHETIC. I WILL MENTION THE PATHETIC AND HEADACE POINTS.

1. I tried to call the service engineer for installation but it was swtich off.

2. Next day morning i.e 06/12/2009 (Sunday) I called the customer care and I was informed that he raised SR#1578957 "Engineer Related" and with this SR the installation will be done by 17:30 evening. (I DON'T KNOW WHY I BELIEVE ON AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE)

3. Evening around 7.00 pm one call came from the service engineer that they cannot come today (Sunday) and will be done tomorrow only. After a kind request around 9.00 pm once again service engineer called for the home address. I was excited but shattered in another 1 hour. I got an sms from 247 that SR#1578957 has been resolved. SURPRISED. As of now I have not seen the face of engineer also.

4. I again called the customer care with the new SR#1582277 and after a conversation of 30 min, Mr. Senthil used all these word (sure, definately) that tomorrow (Monday) engineer will close the complain at 9.00 am morning and I can enjoy watching dth by 9.30 am. He gave me such great assurance that I forgot my words i.e I repeadetly asked him that "I HAVE WASTED THE ENTIRE 1 DAY IN WAIT OF SERVICE ENGINEER WHICH COST ME MORE AND AGAIN TOMORROW IF HAPPENES THEN WHAT?"
ANS FROM SENTHIL - SIR, TOMORROW DEFINATELY AND SURELY BY 9.00 AM MORNING THE ENGINEER WILL REACH YOUR HOME AND INSTALL THE SET. IF NOT THEN IN THE NEXT SERVICE REQUEST AIRTEL WILL BEAR ALL THE COST OF MY LOSS.

5. Morning except my neighbours and sun I didn' find anyone related to Airtel. I got one more SMS that my SR has been closed and resolved if Satified sms SAT to 5030 or UNSAT. I sms as UNSAT today (07/12/2009 at 2.30 pm) because as of now it has not done.

6. Called the customer care and spoke to Imran and asked him all the details about my SR. He told me that as per the system it has been updated as by 17.30 on Monday it will get resolved. I told him that this is all rubish and I wanted yesterday's recording to go to court. And above all he expected me to talk to him politely. When I started shouting he disconnected the call. Other than he told me that I need to wait till 17.30 and if not then again call.

Final Interpretation from my side :

1. AIRTEL DTH CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY VERY WORST
2. AIRTEL SR DOES NOT HAVE ANY VALUE
3. ALWAYS GIVES WRONG COMMITMENT. (3 time in this case)
4. ALWAYS LOOKS FOR EXCUSES TO SATISFY CUSTOMERS
5. IF YOU CALL IN MORNING THEY SCHEDULE FOR EVENING TIME AND VICE VERSA AND NO MATTERS HOW TIME YOU CALL.
6. CCE'S BEHAVIOUR IS VERY BAD TO THE CUSTOMER AND ALWAYS EXPECT TO DISCONNECT THE CALL. (yesterday i heard that "say him tomorrow the problem will be resolved and I will disconnect the call now)
7. IN SUCH PROBLEMS WHOM TO CONTACT NO INFORMATION.
8. SUPERVISIOR DAY ONE WORD TO THE CUSTOMER AND WRITE SOMETHING ELSE IN SR. WHEN ASKED TO COPY IN MY MAIL THEY WILL DENY.
9. AIRTEL IS CHEATING TO THE CUSTOMERS.

I hope this is enough for you to know the reasons of Headache. If you need any proof look at your system and also listen to voice recordings. Today also I am waiting when it will get resolved after loosing 2 days BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER WAY.

My customer ID is new client, I am really astonish regarding the unprofessional service from Airtel Digital TV, my set top box not res and while calling and calling again and again I am getting non sense answers from customer care that set top box are not in stock, when you all are starting such business firstly you have to take care of customer service and complaints or otherwise stop this business refund customer money so that customer could go to some other excellent and branded service provider and enjoy whatever he has spend, you all are not suppose to spend our hardened money in advertisement to make false business you can pay lot of money to film stars for your advertisement and you don’t have device to keep in stock, I am really pissed off due to such ill-mannered service and dirty management.

On 27th of August i purchase this and fixed in the 2nd floor after that the extaintion of my billding to 3rd floor i fixed it to 3rd floor but no signal has been found. I call to customer care for this no signal they say that changing to 3rd floor we would to pay Rs.200/- for this. I live in houserant, again if i change my house then i will also another charge for this.I am wasting money on Digital TV. Airtel is a big lie of the century.

I AM NOT RECEIVING ANY SIGNEL FROM AIRTEL DIGITEL SERVICE I LODGED A COMPALINT ON 13/2/10 AND GIVEN A COMPLAITNT NO.1945054 AND A TIME OF 5.43 PM BUT TILL THAT TIME PROBLEM WAS NOT SOLVED, I AGAIN CONTECTED THEM AND I WAS GIVEN A TIME OF 11 AM NEXT DAY I.E. 14/2/19 BUT TILL 2PM PROBLEM WAS AS IT IS, CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER CARE AGAIN AND GOT THE NEW COMPLAINT NO. 195228 AND ASKED TO CONTACT THE LOACAL REPAIRING CENTER AT THE GIVEN PHONE NO. Hi DTH,

This is Nageswara Rao.P, I am new customer for Airtel DTH, my customer id is: [protected]. Here I am providing my comments and very bad experience with AIRTEL DTH.

I was planned to book/recharge the new connection through the online but I was not able to do it because of my area pin code was not available in your system. Then I called customer care and I paid the amount of 1850/- through my HDFC credit card on 5th FEB 2010 and asked them to install the system on 6th FEB 2010 between 11 am to 1 pm. After I called customer care on 6th FEB morning he said he will be sending the guys by 1 pm, but nobody came and installed. After so many calls finally they came by evening 5 pm and set up the box and said I will be able to see the channels with in 1 hr but not able to see any channels due to they have installed wrong card in the setup box.
After so many calls they came and changed the card on 8th FEB evening. Again one more problem that, I have requested for “South economy” plan with 4 months free subscription but they have installed basic package “South super value” plan with 5 months free subscription and added the amount 1750/- in system even I paid 1850/-.

Again after so many calls they changed my plan from the “South super value” to “South economy” but NOT changed the amount from 1750/- to 1850/- on 11th FEB.
After 1 week that means on 19th FEB, Friday they have been disconnected it due to my account balance went on negative balance (Since amount has been NOT changed from 1750 to 1850); due to this I am not able to see any channels from 19th morning onwards. I put a complaint on 19th Morning and they informed it will be resolved within 24 hr but still NOT yet resolved. Also I asked that what needs to be done if I want to see the channels immediately and one of your manager said that if you recharge the 150/- amount that is went on negative balance I am able to see otherwise NO.

I can pay that 150/- rupees that is not the matter here, here the thing is that how you are providing the service.

That means even if you people did the mistake, I am the one suffering for that. For example if I would have availed that 4 months free subscription and it is exceed that 4 months free subscription then disconnected means it will be reasonable but at the early days itself they have disconnected it.

Already 4 days are completed but nobody responded still. But I am calling every day to the customer and they are taking again and again complaints and saying it will be resolved within 24 hr but nobody responding for this.

My comments:
I am really fedup and irritated with the service provided by AIRTEL. I never seen this type of worst service in my life.
The main reason that I go for this is my friends are suggested me to take this TV and also said that you people are providing a very good service but I did not see any thing good on this. Instead of this AIRTEL DTH I would have taken some other DTH or normal dish connection.
