[Resolved]  Airtel — Installation of DTH

Hi,

Out of frustration I am writing about the service provided by Airtel DTH. I had raised a request on 10/04/11 for reinstallation of DTH as I moved to another house. Promptly, I received the following SMS from AIRTEL DTH: "Dear Customer, request no-6811117 for 'Relocation request', 'Happy Code-8KFY. Share code with the engineer once issue is resolved. for any query pls call [protected]"

I was trying to reach the given number for the past 5 days, there was no response. Fortunatly, I called the guy at around 3:00 in the noon. he said, that he would give a call to technician and get back within a minute. There was no response again from him. similarly, I tried reaching him 5 times, he said the same till 8:00 PM. after 8:00 PM, his mobile went off to not reachable.

Its since more than a week, raised a request for relocation of DTH. So far, it has not done. there is no response at all from the service engineer.

I think, I need to take the issue to Consumer Court.

Sir,
I bought a airtel DTH connection in february 2011, but the installation is not yet complete. my mobile no is [protected].

I booked an AIRTEL DTH connection directly through AIRTEL, hoping I would bypass all hassles of going through a dealer and then to be at his mercy for rectification of problems, but it seems booking directly through AIRTEL is worse for the following reasons:

1. It is already two weeks and my services are not normal yet.

2. appox. 30 of the channels offered in the package have no audio/ video or even an error mistake. There is just a cracling noise and a flicker of light once in a while.

3. 4 of the 6 regional channels offered as complimentary also have no audio/video or any error message.

4. it took AIRTEL 3 days of daily complaints to activate my connection.

5. No engineer (as promised) has ever either phoned or turned up to give a demo of how the AIRTEL system works, or to "resolve" the problems

6. Even after my last 3 complaints[protected] of 29.8.11; 11339114 of 27.8.11 and 11296108 of 26.8.11), no engineer has ever called, though promised. Last Sunday I waited the whole day at home.

7. No complaints are addressed after 8 pm. The earliest response is 10 am next day and engineer's visit "promised" after lunch.

8. No engineer is ready to visit you on a holiday, Sunday or after 6 pm. What would happen to working couples' complaints, who don't reach home before 8 pm, or are home on holidays only?

9. Customer care representatives not well informed of technical issues or details of packages offered. They are arrogant, get irritated and even disconnect phones.

10. There has been no response from customer care on my past three days SMS message for assistance.
Thanks for the concern, Mr. Ranga. Part of tech problems stand rectified, except that the picture quality at times is poor.yesterday night, I even experienced picture freezing/ disappearing and no audio. I sent a HELP msg to 54325, but no one has responded till 2.30 pm today.
It is surprising that I get over 20 SMS on my mobile and you could not contact me? My registered mobile no is on your database. You are free to contact me, when you want to. My customer ID is [protected].
Just to inform you about the nature of your "engineer" who had come to rectify my problems. He made me leave my office early to enable him to finish work by six pm. To my utter dismay, on approaching home at 5.45 pm, when I contacted him, he replied he is already on his way to his home and would do it the next day. Only lot of persuation could make him change his mind and come. Even after coming, he had to consult the tech team to guide him do his work.

Airtel DTH — Installation

Sir,
This is the one of the limit of harrasing and fooling customers. My self Rupesh Sharma purchased a Airtel DTH from a Loacal retailer by the name of Anand Confectionery and telecom, Mohar Singh Nagar, Nala Road, Ludhiana, The contact person is Vipan Dhall. I purchased a set and one setup box additional on 02.05.2012. On the very next day a Engineer named Mr. Gopal came to drop the boxes at our house and promised to install it till evening as he installed one setup box and left the another one and the which he installed also stopped working on the very next day.

Since then we are calling him daily with eight to ten calls per day and everyday he gives one excuse or another. And when today we said that we will be going to lodge a complaint in consumer forum, He says we are not afraid of it now your DTH will be installed after the resolving of Complaint.

How come these companies are above law that they are not afraid of any legal action.

It's Requested to look into the matter and do the needful
I am working here in Saudi Arabia, buy one Air tel HD Set top box for my family worth rs 2690/ online on 11/07/2012 @ 10 o clock, As per Customer executive it should be installed within 48 hours at my house but it crossed the limit of 48 hrs and it was not installed the system at my house, if the beginning service is like this what we can expect for future service by Air tel...
My Booking id is 105471 and i want to know why you are promising lot of services and time limitation on internet but when the time to provide the service your company teams are failed to to so...
please i need a feedback regarding it...

mera dis tv kuch mahino se band tha to cost.car se phone aya to unhone batay ke 1220 ka recharge karenge to 6+6 mahina free & Installation free ab 12 mahine to free ho gaya lekin Installation free ke liye cost.car na hi thik se javab dete he or nahi phone uthate he.Jahase mereko bola gaya tha uska nam Mr.ajay sarma [protected].

Hi, I had purchased Airtel DTH through online using sbi debit card on 28thdec 9:30am. During time of payment an executive (Rehman) told installation will be done in next 24hours. As of now i called 26 customer care personnel. No technician came to my home for installation.
Now they made my number with automated voice if i call customer care. Now I am helpless neither to refund the payment nor to contact exact person for getting DTH connection.
