[Resolved]  Airtel — Bill generation even after disconnection request

I am writing this email with so much frustration with airtel service and the so bad experience with 3G dongle I was using.


Okay let me tell you the story....
I was using subject mentioned 3G postpaid dongle and I felt the service was not worth paying since I faced many issues related to speed and network.
Hence I decided to cancel this service with Airtel, so I called customer care in the month of MArch-13 by 2nd week to place request for disconnect. I also have an email communication with customer card for the same.

At that time it was very clear that I had to pay outstanding amount of around 1600 Rs/- including last month bill and delay charges. So I paid the bill by 17-Mar and 18th I have received email from airtel about disconnect of service. And it was made clear nothing more to pay and service should disconnect. But I was still receiving the monthly bill in April, May. So when I called them again they clearly stated service is already disconnected this bill is nothing. Then I was just ignoring the bill. I have many email communication regarding the same.

This week Monday I received call from Airtel to pay due amount of 950 and if not paying this will black listed etc.
I got really surprised and moreover I am already pissed off with airtel.
Then airtel outlet was useless, customer care took complaint mentioned in subject. And clearly told airtel received disconnection request in March and it was disconnected but not sure about the 950Rs bill. They said airtel will call back within 24hrs.

I received call but they still asked only information why do you want to disconnect? Didn't even gave chance to talk

So strange...embracing...irritating....disappointing....oh I have no words to express my feelings so much frustrated.
I know common people like me get scared when you people talk about black list, lawyer and all.

but there should be humanity with airtel and legal things.

What I want is clean chit from a cheating company called airtel. I never want to look back to airtel and already my friends in the same impression to get out from airtel.

I am not sure that it will fixed by this email and I will get justice but still writing to express by worst feelings about airtel. Sorry that I can not use the real feeling words in official email but I really mean to.

Hope someone will take action and fix it for the sake of airtel.

950 Rs doesn't matter but the frustration matters a lot. One thing is clear you didn't loose me alone rather at least 10 customers already and it will be never ending.

My mobile no. was [protected], i have lost my cell in the month of November 2007 last week. I have already submitt my all dues and same days i have generate an request in your outlet in nehru place regarding permanent disconnet this no. then your executive told me that last bill will come in December 07 and you have to pay also that after that no any bill will come to you. I also submit bill of the month December 07. After that your customer care executive has called me around 200-300 times regarding to take card of the same no which i have lost and i ignored everytimes that we dont need this no. i have already another no. And I have also received your letter for the same thing to take this no. free of cost. i also caled her to ignore and disconnect permanently. But after 25 days means in the month of Feb'08 i have received a call from an advocate they told me you have to make a payment of rs. 1200/- and this should be submitt today otherwise you have to come in court tomorrow. and the same day i have make a payment of Rs. 1200/- by the force of your advocte and they told me that now this no. has been close for permanently. After that again i have generate and request to disconection of this no. and again i have received a bill of Rs. 700/- then your customer care executive told me that you have to minimum 500/- then your no. will be disconnet permanently. Okey again i have make payment of Rs.500/- after that again i have received a bill of around Rs.700/- your CCE told me this is last time but minimum you have to make a payment of Rs. 200/- and told me that i am promising to you that after that you will not received any call or any bill for this no.

recently i have received a call from your side regarding to make payment.

pls. Suggest me or i am going to file an FIR regarding this because i have been afraid to heard about AIRTEL.

AirTel — Billing even after disconnection of services

I, Rohit Kumar, r/o C2C / 2 / 13 Janak Puri, New Delhi-110058, was using Airtel's Post Paid Number [protected] till April 2008.



On 28 April-08, i requested Airtel to disconnect my number and they gave me a reference number 19413424 for my complaint. They ensured me that within 5 working days my number will be disconnected.



On 10-may-08 i cleared the bill plus the outstanding amount on my number. In between i received my calls form Airtel's retention department for requesting me to retain my number, but i refused them all giving a valid reason for that.



After 28-April-08 i stopped using the number. To my surprise, i was shocked to see Airtel's bill from 23-April-08 to 22-May-08 deleivered to me. I was like speechless. i immidiately called [protected] and talked with a girl called Nisha. She said that its by mistake that i have received the bill and i need not pay this bill. Even on my bill its written disconnected.

I was releived after that.


To make the condition more worse, Airtel delivered another bill from 23-may-08 to 22-june-08 to me. I was shockingly surprised to see a bill for a number, which i got disconnected two months ago.



Pls stop billing me and if possible forgive me for using Airtel. I never knew i would have to pay Airtel even after getting rid from it.

AirTel — BILLING AFTER DISCONNECTION

The AIRTEL no.[protected] was requested for disconnection In Last APRIL 07.

No Bill Recieved thereafter niether any the said number used till date.However to my surprise a Bill No[protected] dated 9TH jULY 08 recieved for total Rs 1683.25 to be paid"IMMEDIATELY".

Can the company tell why the bills being raised for a connection not in use since more than one year.

Airtel is requested to immediately withdraw the Bill and give me NIL dues certificate.

Airtel — Disconnection requests not performed

I have 3 corporate nos with airtel- [protected], [protected] and [protected]. From the very first day of my acquaintance with you guys there had been problems with [protected]. A wrong plan was first activated, i had requested fro corp plan 199. When some ordinary plan was activated i called and requested for cancellation on the no as i did not want to continue but still i am being charged for the monthly rental of the plan. they have a deposit amount of 300 which i paid when buying the sim, i asked to tally that amount towards the bill and discontinue my connection. the customer service guys have my email id wrong because of which i did not get any email bills.Now i am willing to cancel all my sims if this doesnt get rectified as these guys are sending collection agents who call me at 7 45 am to ask when they can come for collection. I am not paying anything as it is not my fault that they dont have a good co ordination between the agent whoi sells the corporate sims at office and the customer support.
My airtel mobile no was [protected](Bangalore) .I disconnected my airtel postpaid connection Ref no: 19505019 in nov2008. I was supposed to clear previous amounts & same was cleared on DEC5-2008.To my shock they sent me a bill again in JAN-2009.I mailed the customer care of airtel & registered the complaint ref no 20236108 .They replied back saying they have forwarded the compliant to concerned dept .But the billing has not stopped yet, they have again sent FEB2009 bill.I have not been using the number since OCT-2008.

Airtel — Bills being sent even after disconnection.

Greetings.

I am a user of AIRTEL Postpaid connection in Punjab circle bearing account number:[protected] on name of S. Jasbir Singh having 6 connections in the said account. By this mail, I hereby wish to complain about the mental harassment being faced by me from the said operator.

I have been using 6 Postpaid connections ([protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected]) from the past four years and above and have been paying constantly. Today when, I found better offers from the competition, I planned to shift myself on the same.

I applied for disconnection of four numbers ([protected], [protected], [protected] & [protected]) on 26th of Feb 09, after paying all billed and unbilled dues at the company’s Relationship Centre situated at BMC Chowk, Jalandhar. I very well got the my disconnection application received at a photocopy as well and I was told that the same shall be disconnected at billing cycle only. Most shockingly, till date my number [protected] has not been disconnected and I am being charged regularly from the past four months for the same.

I have been into regular follow ups with their Relationship centre, telling them, that the said number has not been disconnected and I am being continuously being CALLED for the payments of the same. Surprisingly, nobody has bothered to my request and today as a heights, these people have called my business circle after checking my call detail records and notified them to tell me to clear all my dues or I shall be responsible for circumstances.

Sir, being a customer, I have a right to ask, how they could even think of calling my nears and dears and insult me. The call was received by one of my business client from number [protected]. The lady on the phone insisted my friend to tell me to clear all dues and the same was into my notice. I hereby put in your kind notice that, I wish to address Consumer Redherasal Forum for such Shameful, Unprofessional, Cheap and Third rated kind of act by the company.

Consumers like me, who have been using services of such company for such a long time, shall never be able to recommend anybody such products, which cannot be properly taken care off by the company.

Request you to please address my issue to the concerned and get me proper compensation for the same or else, as mentioned earlier, I need to knock door of the consumer court. I still hope and have faith over the Telecom Regulatory Authority Of India for proper Justice.

Airtel — Fraud generation of bill after disconnection

Dear Sir Madam

I was having an airtel postpaid connection no : [protected] and i surrendered the same on[protected].

I also paid the bill for the bill period[protected] to[protected] leaving behind Rs 300 - to adjust with the initial deposit money of Rs
300 - as told by the Airtel Serampore service outlet persons.

Even after doing everything i received the bill for subsequent months which service outlet persons said that i need not pay.

Things have not stopped and i started receiving calls for paying the due amount for which i am not liable or otherwise they will start recovey proceedings. I received a letter from Airtel Salt Lake Office stating the same thing.

I clarified everything and attached the xerox copy of last paid Cash Receipt copy received from the Airtel Serampore Shop but still on[protected] I received a letter from Chandrasekhar Sarkar saying that i am using airtel cellular frequency waves and i should pay for the same or otherwise legal proceedings will be started against me . This has been a very bad and traumatic experience for me.

Kindly let me know what i am supposed to do now at this situation

Airtel — Payment for the month in which phone was already disconnected.

This complaint is regarding AIRTEL, Airtel numer is, 45025804, on the name of"Puneet Trehan" which has been cancelled , last month , after making final payment of Rs 1212, with a written application to cancel the number, for which i got nearly 25 calls in nearly 10 days, each was asking me to tell you the reason..... which is my first request to Airtel, please make a system where your consumer can tell the reason only once....... you stop making bugging them, i a so fed up with your calls.

Lets come to next episode, as i said earlier, number has been disconnected, th issue has been resolved under ticket no: 27258044, but who the hell care in AIRtel, about nay of the Tickets which there use create, dumb head people of AIrtel, keep on calling me , to pay them the bill of the month , for which my number was already disconnected.

Whenever i ask them to tell me the employee id or something by which i can track them back, they disconnect the phone, i sometime feel, as i am "Gabbar" & they are "Basanti" , simply ask them " tera employee id kya hai" & they put the phone down. hahhaha

So Airtel people, if you are listening , please feel shame .... you have system to track every thing, but you people are not using it, may be that is because , you don't know how to do that... try to make your self technically sound.

I HAD A POSTPAID CONNECTION OF AIRTEL FROM 2007 AT KOLKATA. AND IN THE MONTH OF MARCH 2010 I WISHED TO DISCONNECT THE NO [protected], AND TALK TO THE CUSTOMER CARE AT KOLKATA THROUGH DUILING 121. AFTER SOME HOURS MY MOB NO [protected] HAD BEEN DISCONNECTED AND I WAS REMOVING MY SIM FROM MY MOBILE ON 15.03.2010.AND A MESSAGE HAD BEEN SEND TO ME TO PAY RS 1059.00,BUT I WAS WAITING FOR THE HARD COPY OF THE BILL FOR PHONE DETAILS,BUT THE BILL NOT YET RECEIVED BY ME TILL YESTERDAY.WHILE AFTER 15TH MARCH MANY PERSONS FROM AIRTEL TRIED TO CONVINCED ME TO KEEP THE SAME NO. ETC THROUGH MY ALTERNATIVE NO. [protected].
SUDDENLY TODAY (21.05.2010)A BILL OF AMOUNT RS 1974.39
HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY ME WITHOUT ANY DETAIL(ONLY MENTIONED THE BILL PERIOD UPOT 5TH MAY 2010.
I ALLWAYS AGREE TO PAY THE BILL UPTO 15.03.2010.BUT THEY ARE NOT YET SEND THE BILL YET.THEREFORE I AM RETURNING THE SINGLE PAPER BILL OF AMOUNT RS 1974.39.
AND REQUESTING NOT TO PREPARE THIS TYPE OF BILL TO HIDE THE LACK OF SINCERITY OF YOUR STAFF IN FUTURE AND SEND ME THE PROPER BILL UPTO 15.03.2010 WHICH IS JUSTIFIED AND I LIKE TO PAY.

AirTel — REQUEST FOR DISCONNECTION

I HAD REQUESTED FOR CANCELLATION OF AIRTEL TELEPHONE NUMBER[protected] ON 16.09.2010 AND THE CANCELLATION REFERENCE NUMBER GIVEN TO ME WAS 37689486.
AND AFTER THIS THEY HAVE KEPT ON GENERATING NEW BILLS AND PESTERING ME TO PAY THE AMOUNT.
I GOT VARIOUS CALLS FROM AIRTEL REQUESTING ME NOT TO GET THE SERVICE DISCONNECTED AND ETC...AND ALSO NOTE THAT THE ABOVE TELEPHONE IS NOT WORKING FROM PAST 12 MONTHS BEFORE I REQUESTED FOR A DISCONNECTION.
AND STILL I PAID THE BILLS INSPITE OF THE PHONE NOT WORKING...ALL THE REQUESTS FOR CANCELLATION DURING THAT PERIOD ALSO FELL ON DEAF EARS AND THEY KEPT GIVING EVASIVE REPLIES AND FALSE PROMISES....
NOW THEY SEND ME A LEGAL NOTICE FOR NON PAYMENT OF BILLS.

Airtel — Generation of Bills for already disconnected service

I had applied Airtel Broadband connection paying advance rental for 3 months amounting to approx Rs.
2671. My billing period started from 26th April 2010 and the rent was paid till
25th July 2010 considering the 3month rental period. As per the standard
disconnection procedure, I applied for the disconnection via Emails/Calls to
Customer Executives time and again starting from 17th July 2010. The executive
from Airtel collected the modem from me in August first week and I have the
receipt for the same which I can show as and when required. I also made an
additional payment of around Rs. 215 after applying for disconnection as I
could see this amount as the outstanding amount on my Airtel login page. The
result of numerous telephonic and email requests to Airtel have only resulted
in a different Request number each time assuring me that my complaint would be
attended to but to no avail. Unfortunately I do not have any recorded
excerpts from the conversation with the Airtel executive over the phone for
your reference.
I have now received a notice from Airtel asking me to pay an amount of about Rs 3100 within 7 days face strict legal action as per the applicable legal system.
It is very humiliating and disgraceful that a service provider like Airtel
blames the negligence committed on part of Airtel Executives/Service Provider
onto the customer.
Kindly advice.

Airtel — connect has been disconnected even after paying bill

I am airtel broadband connection user.

I have summited the bill on time, but still they have disconnected it from last 3 days.we are suffering a lot try to contact them through costumer care but no reply.
we are loosing 10K par day as we do home base work.

Airtel — Payment due even after request for disconnection

I ahve shifted to mumbai from pune on the 1st of august 2011. prior to shifting I had requested Airtel to disconnect my connection on the 27.07.2011 and they had confirmed that the connection will be disconnectd within 7 days. Post which airtel still wants me to pay an outstanding for subsequent months. After numerous calls and email exchanges airtel syas that they are offering me a discount of Rs 226. But, I have to pay the rest else legal action will be taken. I have clearly mentioned to them that I am not responsible for the payments as I have already informed them to disconnect the connection and hence am ready for any legal action. Prior to which I am planning to file a case in the real consumer courts.

This post is for all those who plan to take services from airtel. Please be sure that you are in the right side while cancelling any connection
