[Resolved]  Airtel — blackberry services

I am so done with Airtel.the customer care services is a disaster.i am calling 121 to tell them that my blackberry services are not being activated even after sending activation message and all they do is put me on hold and then hang up or ask me to call 7070 where a system generated message tells me that i am not registered and to call 121...it is forming a web with one person shifting his responsibilities to another.Airtel has no code of conduct and i personally feel that Airtel should be banned.people of Airtel customer care center relish harassing the common man and customers because of whom airtel is earning huge profit.Government of India should take a stern action against Airtel Bharti Customer care Center and its staff.

I write this email as Airtel (Maharashtra Circle) has failed to provide a specific service, which I had subscribed and registered for on the 4th of October . Despite several follow ups, the issue still persist and I am almost on the verge of requesting the renewal of the service (which unfortunately never got activated at all!).

As mentioned above, on the 4th of October , I had requested the Pre-paid Blackberry Service (Plan 299) to be activated on my 8700 Blackberry handset. The request was registered immediately and the amount was debited instantly. But the service is yet to be activated on my handset! Even as I write this email, I speak to a technical support personnel, who mentions that there is some weird problem with the servers, due to which the device is still not registered on the Airtel server, although the service has been activated !

Unfortunately, I do not even have a complaint number to provide, as the Technical support personnel mentioned that there is no request ID generated, when a complaint is being reported and is worked upon.

Note (4-Nov-2009): Inspite of all the escalations there has been no resolution provided to me.
And to add to this, today Rs.299 more was credited from my pre-paid account to re-activate the Airtel BB services for the next month!

The customer care executives are not fully exposed to what all the services they provide.
I have asked how to activate BB Services and they answer about Mobile Office and Airtel Live and diverting me to technical team.
When I call the technical team they are asking to activate BB services through Customer care people.
Got the details to activate but am getting a response unable to process try again after 24 hours.
How many 24 hrs should i wait to get a service for which am going to pay?

I am using a prepaid Airtel card and a blackberry phone. I send a sms on 121 to activate my black berry services on 11 march 2010 and the service provide also DEDUCTED my 299 balance the same day. the maximum time according to them is 24 hrs an activation of services. i called them on 12th, they said there is a problem is server and they cannot do anything about it. i was given the rural manager ABHA GUPTA'S number, i tried calling her up serve times but she did not answer my phone. i wen to the airtel gallery on 12 march and when called on their 999 helpline from the gallery itself, they assure my BB services will get activated by 15th MARCH 2010 morn and i was told that their executive will call me up and was given the complaint number for the same, which is [protected]. but my black berry services has yet not been activated, so today on 15 MARCH 2010, i call them up again. i was informed again there is nothing much they can do and i will have to wait for maximum 15days. when i asked them to send me a sms on my cell on their behalf assuring that my services will be activated for sure after 10 days they refused. i do not wish to activate my BB services with airtel any more but they have crooked me and deducted my balance, so all i m forced to do is wait. I have been mentally tortured. i feel cheated and mislead.

Please find me a solution for the same.

I'm Kaarthikeyan, using airtel blackberry services thru airtel prepaid ([protected]) for a while. My Blackberry services ceased to work from 20-Mar-11, and I've been contacting airtel customer care every now and then, but there is lack of proper response. Its almost two days now, and the customer care is not approachable at all, I hear the computer voice asking for some nonsense passwords just to ignore the callers. Before this issue the calls will be attended even before it rings. I'm planning to migrate to some other service provider soon due to this sheer lack of response. I've now lost two days of my blackberry services validity which I'm not gonna get back again. No more airtel.
Airtel Blackberry services are pathetic ,awefull. I really regret taking this service from airtel . People in the customer service are not properly trained and they even do not have proper info .

I am a blackberry customer . I called up the customer care to see if I could use my device with my laptop also . No one was actually able to give me the proper info . One of the customer care rep said it was possible . One of them said it was not possible , and the problem is when ever they see that the issue cannot be resolved they just disconnect the phone . The reps I interacted to were Ashita and Sharmistha . They should be immediately retrained or people like me will leave airtell and start with some other service provider . And not to mention they do not even know how to talk properly . They were enough rude to me as if they were doing some facvor to me or something . Is this the way a customer is treated ?
