[Resolved]  Airtel Broadband — Wrongly billed for Rs 50,000

I had taken a broadband connection for telephone number [protected] in August. One of your executives (Chetanya #+91 [protected]) came got me signed up for a connection with a speed of 2 mbps, informing me that it had a download limit of 400 GB. Since I am an employee of Deloitte, I was told that I would have to pay Rs 400/- per month under the corporate plan. However, at the time of installation I was informed that the plan had a download limit of 2 GB. I immediately asked the executive to not install such a connection and told the people who called me for a confirmation call the same. Then at the request of the executive who had misinformed me, I let them give me a connection with a speed of 256 kbps, unlimited download and a monthly payment of Rs 799 per month. I got the installation documents, paid Rs 1500/- as installation charge and got a confirmation call for the same.
However, at the end of the first month I was sent a bill of Rs 36,000/- and the connection was cut off. I started making calls to complain but all I got were promises that someone would get in touch with me. The call never came and the call center executives refused to let me speak to a manager in charge. I even went to the customer care center but I was just directed to a telephone line there and was informed that there was no manager in charge who could hear me out. The gentleman who installed the connection said that it was a problem in the system, that someone just didn’t update the correct details. After a month of receiving the bill and the connection remaining disconnected I got another bill for Rs 50,000.
It has been almost 6 months and nothing has been resolved. I have spoken to executives repeatedly who promise to call back in a day and don’t follow up. The manager I was speaking to, Praveen Chaudhary (# [protected]), I am informed has left your organization and a gentleman called Anil Kumar now answers to this number and has no clue about the matter. So has the representative from your legal dept. who goes by the name of Rajesh (#+91 [protected]).
I have been lied to, cheated for my money I paid for installation, billed for a connection I never wanted to begin with and harassed endlessly. And still it seems that nobody besides me cares about the problem since I am the only one still wasting my time trying to have this resolved. I have no idea how your company is still working when executives are lying without a conscience, call center employees aren’t competent to even understand a problem let alone resolve it, representatives and managers don’t care about a bill of Rs 50,000 outstanding like it is the most trivial thing and the ones that do just quit. I have finally decided to stop trying so this is the last time I will be doing anything about this matter and after this if I am still harassed any further I would have no choice but resolve to a more serious action.

I too noticed that there has been unauthorized download from my Airtel Broadband. I too am a employee of Deloitte Hyderabad and the plan has 2 GB download limit. I am shocked to see that 4GB of download has been done on my account. I called customer care but as you said its of no use. I am waiting for my bill to come and I am sure its going to be in thousands. There is some problem in the system of Airtel because of which this kind of bills come.
