Airtel Broadband Service — Generation of Bill even after Disconnection of Broadband Service

I Have given a complaint with regard to generation of bill even after disconnection of Broadband service on 18/02/2012 to the nodal officer through mail and I got a reply that my complaint would be processed by 22/02/2012 but I am yet to get any response with regard to my complaint. Today I got another bill for the month of February. I have disconnected my Broadband service on 22/12/2011, yet I have received bills for the month of January and February, 2012. Please resolve the issue and cancel the bills for the month of January and February for which I have not availed Broadband service.

Facts :

I have been using Airtel Broadband service for over 2 years in vellore, Due to further studies in Chennai I requested disconnection of my Broadband service on 22nd December 2011 and I gave a letter to the Airtel customer outlet at vellore regarding the same. I informed the lady at the customer service desk to cancel my BB connection immediately, since my bill date is 27th of every month. Then on 24th December I submitted the Airtel Phone Instrument and BB Modem and got an acknowledgement regarding the same in a letter.

I paid my December BB bill in January. In February I received yet another bill for the BB Service. I went to the customer care centre and asked them about it. I related the situation to the lady, for a brief moment she panicked and then told me that the cancellation has been done only on 9th January. I showed her the acknowledgement copy of submission of Modem and to that she replied that it takes 10 days for cancellation.

I cannot understand why it takes 10 days for cancellation of Service, Where the data could be processed immediately. I asked the lady to let me talk to the seniors. She led me to a person who is about 25 year old. I then related the situation to that person. The person pointed me to be seated and then for about 10 minutes he kept me awaited over his personal matters. He told me that I have to pay at-least Rs. 110 for the cancellation has been made only on 9th January, 2012. I told him I am not responsible for his and the lady's sluggishness and hence I will not pay the bill. He told me "You have to pay the bill, there is no other way".

AIRTEL BROADBAND SERVICE — billed after disconnection of service

I have surrendered the SIM immediately within the 24 hrs of the issue of the SIM because they couldn’t provide me the USB device for broadband. I was keen on taking the Airtel broadband service, but because of the above reason I dropped myself.

AIRTEL BROADBAND SERVICE — Disconnection of the broadband service

I am using the airtel broadband service and vacating the house. So I called the cancellation department of airtel to cancel the connection as aI will moving out of my current residence. I called the cancellation department several times and the maximum they would do is give me reference number after refernce numbers. I have been following up with them since november and till date my connection is active. When I last called them up, they told me that my coonection had been deactived since 3rd december but when I called them again after few days to verify, I got to know that they have again activated my connection. I dont want to pay for something which I am not using. I called them again but they spoke to me very rudely and said that they dont know why my services were resumed. They also assured me that they will act on my complaint promptly but till now there has been no resolution. The last complaint number that I got is:

Airtel — Broadband service - No response even after 10 days

I needed Internet Connection at my place on urgent basis so as to handle my international clients from home. I requested AIRTEL executive to visit me to collect money and documents from me so that I can get AIRTEL Broadband service at home situated at Krishna Apra Garden, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.
The AIRTEL executive confirmed that I'll get the internet activiated within two days of application.
I applied on 19th of October and he (excecutive) mentioned on my Application 'installation date' as 21-oct-2010.
For the same, he collected INR 500 cheque from me. Same was realized from Bank and money was transfered to AIRTEL account on 23rd Oct'2010.
But till now, I haven't received any installation of Internet at my home. My international clients called me careless for not responding them on time. AIRTEL has caused my bad reputation among my clients.

Please help to make sure that AIRTEL should return my installation fee along with damages caused to my reputation.

Airtel Broadband — Delivering faulty modem - twice and pathetic service response

As a last attempt to get some decent service from Airtel I am writing to you.

I have been an airtel customer for about 11 years now and it would be sad to move away from you.
I have a mobile connection with you, a landline , an IPTV and a broadband with airtel as part of their triple offer. Since i bought that I am faced with such poor service quality on the braodband and IPTV that i am compelled to write here.

I had raised a compliant on 9th Jan 2011 for my modem not working I was given a time of some 8 hours by which the service would get fixed. Which means no broadband and IPTV for a day. A technician came on 10th Jan 2011 and gave me a modem with in built wireless which worked for an hour and then the wireless part failed. I reopened the compliant on 10th Jan nite and yet again the technician came next day and put in some bogus modem which worked for a few hours and then would not power on at all. Its power button had to be taped up to make it work. I have again registered a complaint and am by now totally frustrated. I received a call back from airtel who said they would look into the issue but i see no action post that. I need to work odd hours as I am in Info Technology field and this is seriously making me miss my work and productivity.

I would sincerely request you to look into the matter.

Airtel — Airtel broadband services billed after disconnection

I was the customer for Airtel landline number [protected]. i had a tariff month 499+ taxes past more than a year they changes tariff plan with out my notice 599+ tax. I spoke to customer services and they never gave response to me then i asked to disconnect services. they said for re-location charges free of cost and they agreed to shift network to new mentioned address. after few week they came up with there is no network in the new address. on 23 April i asked to disconnect services. then also they generated bill on my name.
