[Resolved]  Airtel — FINAL TELEPHONE BILL OF MOBILE NUMBER [protected], ACCOUNT NUMBER[protected]

1. I am an army officer serving in active field area.( jammu & kashmir )
2. I have paid my final Airtel bill of Rs 2160/- on 22 May 09 at Airtel Srinagar Branch (Rajbagh). The scanned copy of the final bill and the surreender certificate signed by Mr Hasmat of Airtel Srinagar Rajbagh Counter is enclosed.
3. After clearing my final bill on 22 May 09 , I got a call from Srinagar Airtel Branch regarding my outstanding dues of my mobile bill. After replying to them about my said payment I presumed that the matter has been treated closed.
4. Recently on 10 th of October Airtel Jammu called my parents and told them that they are some Junior Commisioned Officer Sub Pandey calling from Jammu and wanted my Contact Number. They harrased my parents and took my Number forcefully from them. As Iam in Army this is totally against Goverment of India rule to get any number in such a manner. As such while closing the account I had given my contact number for any further correspondance.
5. After getting my number the indl from Jammu contacted me and told me that a sum of Rs 8800/- is balanced against my name. Atfirst I made them understand that the way they have got my number is totally un proffesional. Then I told them that I had already cleared my account four months ago and the surrender certificate is still with me.
6. But with out any further notice a letter dated 3rd Oct 2009 of Airtel Srinagar Branch was sent to me regarding my outstanding dues of Mobile number [protected], Account Number[protected]. In the same letter it was written that for any query I have to speak to Mr Rauf of Srinagar Branch ([protected]).
7. Immediately I contacted the said indl to clear my matter giving him all the details. The indl then gave me his e-mail id and told me to mail the surrender certificate alongwith the mobile bill which I did as directed by Mr Rauf.
8. When I contacted Mr Rauf again he gave me mobile number of Mr Hasmat who had ink signed my surrender certificate and told me to contact him and ask why I am being constantly harrased by Airtel though I have closed my account long time back.
9. I then contacted Mr Hasmat of Rajbagh Branch Srinagar mobile number [protected] who instead o[censored]nderstanding my problem started using vulgar words and said " Don't approach me in future and do whatever you can" . After that he has blocked my call and not receiving them.
10. After my sincere efforts to close this matter with Sringar Branch which was not given due attention I have been forced to approach you. As I am in Army serving in J & K I am facing a lot of mental and financial harrasement even after being a sincere customer and paying the bills in time.
11. I finally request you to sincerely and urgently look into thev matter with the Srinagar Branch of Airtel as I will be forced to approach the Government of India authorities.
