[Resolved] Airtel — DENIAL of receipts of cash amount paid to AIRTEL | |||
USB data card number [protected]. I have purchased AIRTEL 3G USB data card from AIRTEL authorised distributor(Piyush Mehta [protected],Mumbai Kandivili) Payment of Rs 1399 was made in cash as demanded by vendor. But receipt was not given by vendor saying that it would be dispatched on my mailing address once Data card is activated. Till date I haven't received receipt in spite of repeated reminders to Piyush mehta. As there was no response from AIRTEL,I requested AIRTEL to provide me duplicate bill of this transaction,but there is no progress on it & no update from AIRTEL appellate officer in spite of several reminders. Denying receipts is against basic consumer rights. Airtel — Denying receipt of payment
I have made payments for the mobile no. [protected] on 19th and 21st July for Rs. 900 each; the 2nd payment was made when Airtel informed me that they had not received my 1st cheque. My bank statement clearly shows that BOTH the cheques have been cleared. However, Airtel insist that no cheque payment has been received by them. I even emailed my bank statement to 121 and to this I get a reply that the document sent is not "authentic". I am shocked by this and I want to claim damages from Airtel for mental harassment. The Customer care person says that "how do we know whom my bank made a payment to?" Now, is there any other AIRTEL in India???I was in Italy and on international roaming; I was sent a several SMSes asking to clear pending payments.
Then I am sent another SMS on 28th July that if I do not make a payment of Rs. 38, 000/- my roaming would be disconnected. I want to ask Airtel, how am I supposed to pay this amount when I am traveling (that too on a train). I made a call to the Customer care and they were in no mood to help. Fortunately, I was to return to India the next day so I did suffer.
