Airtel Digital TV — non installation of digital tv connection

I bought a Samsung 32" LCD TV on 1st January 2009. After a delay of 10 days the samsung supplied me with activation kit for installation of Airtel digital tv connection, which should have been supplied along with the LCD TV on 1st january itself.
Thereafter, another ordeal commenced, the struggle for installation of Airtel digital tv. I faithfully followed the steps 1 to 4 as per instructions on tv activation kit. I had to ring up several times on[protected] to give repeated informations with regard to the installation of the Airtel digital tv viz.activation kit serial number, the pin on the scratch card, the home address and my mobile number. To do this I had to hold on for more than 10 to 20 minutes for connection to the Airtel operator through the call centre on the above number. It included talking to the senior person incharge etc., Finally I got registered and was given customer ID number [protected]. Every time I got stereotyped reply that please give us 48 hours for the necessary installation. Today, it is 2nd of Feb 2009 but the Airtel digital tv installation is still a mirage.
How does the Airtel works?If this is the treatment to a new customer, what would be the treatment given to us once their system gets installed? Whether these complaints are seen at the senior level or they get suppresse at the very lower level or this is the company policy to torture any customer who falls into their net.
Please wake the sleeping giants and take necessary measures to install the requisite digital tv connection. I always had a very good opinion of the BHARTI TELE.

Infact i have been facing the same problem for the last two months. I bought the samsung LCD tv on 25th Dec and i am yet to get the Digital TV installation done despite making 15 calls to the Airtel support team. I am totally frustrated on the whole offer. I am not sure whether it is just an eye-wash to fool people. I also do not know how to take it up with the higher authorities at Airtel. I dont mind a delay in the installation as it happens with all providers. But despite making several attempts, i am yet to receive a call from Airtel about the installation. That puts me in a fix about the way Airtel operates.
