[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV HD — Very BAD customer care service and no response for addition of channel or for latest updates

dear AIrtel Digital TV management team and all senior managers

I am using your digital service HD from Nov 2010 and till today faced many probelms issues as below.

1. Many times whenever I switched on TV, STB gives signal that there is no connection available.

when I given complaint after many instances of this issue, the customer care person didnot speak good...instead of listening to the complaint he asked me about the payment of Rs 100 towards the payment for the person who will come to check the issue in my home. This is rediculous...

Each time Airtel team can create this issue and how come you expect cusotmer to pay for this cause?

2. I was trying to get the Movies Now HD channel right from when it is launched and when they announced in newspaper. I called many times to the customer care but they never given information about that channel.

Meanwhile I was just braowsing the channels and suddenly I found Movies Now HD on channel No. 198 but it was not working as I did not subscribed it. Hence I called customer care....as usual after waiting for more than 8 - 10 minutes, I got the customer care (?????) person. when I talked about the subscription he said you will get the channel and you have to pay for it. (Again the money first....no other care)
I agreed what he said. Then he said our technican will come and adjust the dish then only I can see the channel. Again there is hugh time limit of 72 hrs. Why this 72 hrs time required?

He did not answered....So as a poor cusotmer (are you people providing service to us or asking us to beg for the service to you ...I do not understand ...and that too with service tax paid by us)...
I asked him to give some specific time span so that we can wait for that so called technician to come and do the minor adjustment (may be of few minutes job)...but he refused ...so my question to all these management people in Airtel digital TV is that...are you poeple expect us to stay in home leaving all our jobs and wait for that technician for any time between 72 hrs......

And the main thing is after this given 72 hrs time left also ....nobody has turned to home to that job....so upto how many hrs I need to wait in home for that person to come?

So when I called today at 2pm to customer care....again the same process started...there is no records with previous communication...again that customer care person (this time Mr Karthik) said he needs 72 hrs...what the hell this so called standard and mega company airtel is working?

We are paying the money for the channel which is free with other dish tv providers and even then why this type of service and behaviour from customer care people?...

One most important thing is this customer care people including the one Mr Karthik which I talked till today ...all are very rude...even though we talk very politely and even using our national language Hindi...these people always talk very rude and make us tempted to have quarrel with them...IS there no any training provided to these people for communication...?
Today Mr Karthik is asking me the meaning of 48 Hrs ....why is this required?...why these people always insult customer even though we talk politely with them?....

I need answer from you senior management and hope you will give that in polite way but with true justification....or else there is no need to stay with digital tv....better our cable guy is.......isn't it?

Latest experince while writing this complaint:....I called customer care to know my account number as the SMS service did not worked (When I send SMS BAL to 54325...it replied keyword not defined)...that customer care perosn Mr. Nikhil was so much in hurry that he just read my account number and disconnected the line....I wanted to ask him whether my request for HD channel pack has been initiated so that I can avoid sending this complaint....but again the same bad experince and I have no chioce except giving this complaint here now......

AIRTEL DTH HD — Poor response and terrible time management

Hi Airtel,
I subscribed for Airtel DTH HD connection on 4th December, I have still not received any installation. I spoke hours with your representative on 7th Dec, I even spoke to your escalation lead - Annilia, that is what I understood, My service code request is 4714827 and my Happy code is - 08F6. I was scheduled an installation on Monday, though I paid for the connection on 4th. Agreed due to the weather, I did not expect on Monday, but all I expected was a call to say that, Tuesday, I called to check my my status, no update, They said EOD I will get the installation, I waited on hold for 15 mins, reached your escalation lead, she tried to help me, she placed me on hold in order to get the Engineer for installation, in vain, she promised I will get a call from the local Engg, I did get a call from a lady around 2:30 pm and stated, I will get the installation done around 3:30 pm, IN vain, no one turned up. Its 8th now. I feel I have done a terrible mistake by booking Airtel DTH. I feel i had enough relationship with AIRtel...How will you guys ever fix any issues if i have any in future. I do not truest Airtel any more, I will do a propaganda to every one in my office and to my friends.
I need one last help, please help me to surrender my connection. I do not want to install airtel DTH. I will go for other vendors....Please do not delay this as your connection. tell me the procedures to cancel the account.

Airtel Digital TV HD — not responding to top up

Sir, I have received a sms from Airtel saying that 3 HD channels (Discovery, NGC and Movies all HD for Rs.44) I have responded to their sms and requested to topup the above mentioned channels, the customer care exucutive told me that the technician will come within 48 hrs and do some migration work at the dish fitted on the terrace, no one turned up after 2 days 3rd day I called them up and reminded them, then they sent a technician and he did the migration and told me to inform the customer care about the same I called and informed them they said within 2 hrs I will get the HD channels, I called more than 15 times but in vain every executive will ask the detail and tell me that it is in process and within 30 minutes I will get but even after 2 days I did not get the channel, I wonder being such a respected and reputed organisatin why these cust care exe give wrong information even today I called at 4.15pm the executive by name Ms.Rohini told me that I will be getting the channels at 4.57pm without fail but to my surprise I did not get again at 6 pm I called cust care and one Mr. Srikanth took the call and he told me that within 30 minutes I will get but now the time is 9pm I still did not get.

If they are not in a position to give the HD channel then why did they sent sms and why are they fooling me and wasting my precious time to call them so many time to make fool of myself. They can as well tell me that it is not possible now or atleast for courtesy sake they can message me saying that it is still in process then I would not have called. Taking their calls into consideration I promised my child that you can watch NGC and Discovery channels in HD he keeps on bothering me.

Recently I renewed for 6 months after that I am planning to shift to some other network which give good service and keep up their word.

AirTel — bad service and no response

i am using the airtel no [protected] .from last few days i am getting the problem with my mms service. i am unable to send any mms to any person . i have lodged the complaint regarding this in the the customer care center many times . every time i am getting the same response that it will get rectified and phone gets disconnected. every time i am making the same complaint , every time the same response. i am getting fed up with the customer care center with their irresponsible response as i think it is the total wastage of time and money because i have to hold the line for a long time every time i make a call and moreover i have to pay the charges to be on line for a long .kindly look into the matter and solve my issue as soon as possible . i shall be thankful to you for this kind act
Same thing is happening with me...can these airtel people resolve my complaint and teach the customer care people for how to speak with customer...You can also listen to the recording if you have for this conversation with these customer care people and me for last three four days...

then decide who is wrong ...your customer care people or your customer...

Same situation with me. I have called the customer care on 21/03/2011 for changing the direction of Dish. But till now (05/04/2011), no body attended. what a poor service. Guys keep away from Airtel.

Thanks for the time you spend for reading my complaint.
Yesterday evening I got call from Mr Arun (may be from your team - Location Delhi) in the evening at around 4pm. Again I explained everything to him regarding my experince with airtel so far...he told me everything has been fixed for you to see the new required channels and he promised me that by yesterday evening I will be able to see the new channels...but alas...I tried checking upto 11.30pm yesterday and again in the morning today (7th Apr 2011) but the situation is same till today.

I think the complaint in this forum also not been taken care by Airtel...

My question to all Indian citizen is who should we contact to control these types of service providers for whom we are the people who are paying service taxes...for their poor services...

Atlast I got the HD channels activated for Airtel...really the moment for celebration...

I am thankful to Mr. Arun from Delhi for helping me out for this...
Yes.. it is very bad customercare... really fed up with the service.
Account Department also very bad.. i have paid Rs3150/- for new connection but they have rechared with only Rs1400 and asking for remaining amount.. i contacted customercare around 50 times but no proper response/details.Still i have not got the connection..really i frustrated... Anyone suggest me how should i take an action as this should not be repeated for others.

I have the same bitter experience with customer service.
I have an Airtel HD connection . For the past 10 days, I am facing serious audio problems. Picture is coming but sound is not coming.
After switching off the airtel set top box 6 to 7 times, the sound again comes.

For the cause, I have logged complains 3 times to customer care with the following complain nos.:

1. 10877992.

2. 10786950.

3. No. forgotten.

The customer care executives ensured to send engineers for me, but all have bluffed like anything.
One customer care executive advised me to talk to one dealer named, V.R. Enterprises, Barbil, Orissa.
I went to their office 02 times, but they are also not sending engineers to me .

Now, I am fed up with this bussiness of following up for services.
I need you intervention.
If you are incapable of providing services, please let me know.
I will throw out my airtel connection and will make a wide publicity of this vicious circle I went through with Airtel .
