[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — Cancellation of Connection

Hi,

This is regarding the new connection applied for.
The DTH consumer number is [protected].
Due to some reason connection could not be established at my home.

So, I requested Airtel Digital TV to please cancel the connection and refund the amount paid by credit card to my concerned account.
Please note that the DTH is not installed/activated.

The email has been sent to them on 7/April/2011 but has not get any reply from them regarding the disconnection and refund.
Customer service is also very poor, they do not understand the issue and keep transfering the phone to different departments.

customer care.when i call airtel customer care he transfered my
call for purchage a new connection by credit card(no-[protected])
.I have paid 1800.00 Rs..But any reason the Airtel Dth connection not to be done
at my home.So I canceled Airtel Dth Connection as on 19/05/2010.
But my Payments (1800.00Rs ) not refund till date.So i Request u please take a necessary
action for this.

I have also the same problem and is after them since last one week with no positive response.

Airtel — Non cancellation of account and charging money

I had given a request to airtel via phone to cancel my broadband and telephone account on 23rd May. After that they called me a couple of times offering me various plans but I said no.Finally I was informed that my account will be cancelled in a couple of days.There executive visited my home to confirm my cancellation request and he said that account will get cancelled in couple of days.I didn't hear from Airtel after that so I thought that my account is cancelled.

Today (29th June) I receive a email from airtel containing a bill to the full amount for the month of June inspite of my account being cancelled. When i called their customer care they inform me that the number has not being cancelled!!!



These big companies only want to rip people off!!

Should I go to consumer court with this?

their are many cases where i have heard Airtel is doing that.

One of similar thing happened to my friend.

She cancelled, but later they gave bill, she did not pay, than they sent legal notice. She paid as she used to work.

I think this is happening to lot of people, i would say go to Consumer Court. Lot of people will support you
Its been day's since my complaint yet I haven't got any response from airtel about my initial complain about false billing. The only thing that there executives talked about was about why do I wanna disconnect the line. That was not the issue in the first place. I have had enough with airtel, its clear that they aren't going to do any thing.

Does any know whats a procedure to file a complaint in consumer court and how much time will it take? I am a resident of Mumbai.
the same problem is with me i applied for an additional set up box on 6thapril and the amount is deposited through net banking throuygh a link sent by mr tariq from airtel and i am tracing tariq since the other executives are neither transferring the call to seniors since any time i call they are busy with meetings only.
today it is 15th but i didn't found any solution

I did payment 5days back for new connection of airtel Dth. as per there recuirement it should activate with in 24hrs.but still i didn't get new connection from them...before done the payment continuously i got the calls.after i am not getting any calls from them.its not good thing to cheating people...Dear Friends don't take new connections from Airtel dth...Better to choose other network connections.
Airtel DTH is the worstest customer care i ever approached in my life. i paid for my new DTH connection 8 days back.. so far no communication from AIRTEL and i called around 30-40 calls.. but every time they tell they will transfer to somebody and will disconnect the call. frustrated with this people. i can give -100 stars for airtel DTH. I'm planning to go to consumer court and sue the airtel company.
Well, the Airtel DTH sucks as it doesn't give you anything even anywhere near worth your money spent. I'm trying to get rid of it. If anyone reading this is planning to take Airtel DTH please, don't for God's sake.

Very poor and disappointing customer services also online shopping of airtel is one way channel.You can order Airtel products but can not cancel or send online request to disconnect the same.

It is simple annoying the customer experience.So responsible/authority to address your issue.

I want to disconnect my coonnection as its too cost and even i recharge for 40 days also i am getting only for 30 days really rediculous of airtel charges than others and also signals not so good .

This is with reference to various calls made by me and complaints
registered with you for same issue (i.e No Video display) like,

Even after your numerous assurance and escalating issue to your seniors,
there is no actual work happening on ground level, i.e no call from your
service centre or service engineer and no visits from past 4days.

Every time I call, you register new a complaint no. and provide me with new
date/time for resolution, there is no end to it and calling Airtel customer
care again & again is waste of time.

Since you are helpless and cannot resolve, I request you to refund my
balance and terminate your disgusting connection.

Shame on Airtel for troubling customer. Very pathetic service by Airtel.

Dear Airtel Team/Manager,
Worst service in the world. One year back i reported that channels are not coming. There was no response even after 1.5 months hence i asked them to disconnect the services. But even today after one year every now and then they call ask why you are not recharging. I will have to repeat same story but then also they are not taking any action to disconnect.
Please disconnect the service, i dont need your service I kepp telling this from one year but then also your executives keep calling and irritating.

I had raised a request in May 1st week 2017 to disconnect Airtel DTH Service for all 3 set top boxes under Cutomer ID [protected]. Kindly close this request at the earliest. Also note that I have only 2 set top boxes out of the 3 with me so kindly consider it in the cancellation request.

I wish I can give rating less than 1 for the sercice I keep getting from Airtel Dth customer care. I requested for an upgrade for set top box from normal to hd box 4 days back and I still have issues with it. Since the set top box is not installed. Neither anyone is bothered to get this done. I'm stuck with this stupid box i have and cannot apply another box till this is cancelled.
If there issomeone who is reading this kindly contact me so I may share recordings for the discussion I had with Airtel.

Worst service airtel digital TV dth. They are cheating with customers.
Airtel people gave internet box connection whose box costs 3000 rs and told me that full.hd channels ll be same cost as hd box which is 270 something. Later after 1 month they said that all hd channels ll b given for rs 550 something. I told them i dont need this internet box as i have internet tv and i done even use there dth much some just give me regular hd box instead. And they said u ll have to pay extra for that. If airtel are just gonna act like crooks and fool customers them kindly shut down your business or atleast get some decent people who knows how to deal with customers and give right information during purchase.

Someone please sue this company. Their customer care is terrible no comman manners how talk. They ll commit that they ll call back but they never do. Wasting peoples time like they are getting paid for wasting time and irritating customers.
